Describe your activity on the server:
When I first joined the server two years ago, I found it very difficult to fit in. Many players were experienced, detailed roleplayers who knew their way around, and I felt out of place. I struggled with engaging in roleplays, unsure of how to integrate myself into the community.
That changed when I discovered the shrine. The idea of becoming a maiden or a priest immediately caught my attention, so… I applied! My first ever application on SchoolRP. When I was accepted, I was beyond happy. Being part of a faction made roleplaying feel more natural, and I made so many new friends. Unfortunately, I was later demoted due to an incident involving my IC sister, which led me to react poorly in the moment. I tried reapplying, but my application was denied.
Not long after, my laptop broke, and I couldn’t play for nearly a year. Once I finally saved up for a new one and returned, I faced similar struggles. I attempted to apply for the Psychiatrist role, but my application was denied. Then, I saw the government faction was looking for new members: judges, lawyers, governors. At the time, I had developed a strong interest in justice and trials (partly inspired by my favorite character, Furina. Silly as it may sound). I applied and to my excitement, I was accepted.
Ever since that, my activity has significally increased. I will be forever grateful for these opportunities, as they've allowed me to grow as a person, meet new people and even allowed me to slowly but surely find my place within the community. Being part of a faction gives me that sense of responsibility and purpose, which is exactly what I enjoy in SchoolRP.
All that I've written down above is from my experience within the server, my honest point of view. I want to make this application the best one, and I am willing to go beyond my limits to make this application the best one I've ever written, to truly show you my dedication.
That being said, I’m usually available from Monday to Friday, unless I’m caught up with schoolwork. I do my best to balance both, and while things can get busy at times, I’ve learned how to manage it responsibly. Weekends are fully open, and I can wholeheartedly dedicate them to the shop. In general, I’m pretty active and truly have the necessary time on my hands to become a shopkeeper, or else I wouldn’t have put my heart and soul into this application.
Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you will be demoted?:
Yes, I do acknowledge that when I'm inactive I'll be demoted.

Shop information

What shop are you applying for?:
I would like to apply for Sayonara's Gift Shop, a store which has a legacy that I deeply respect. However, if allowed, I would love to carry on its spirit under a new name: “Noshi.” It’s a sweet, sugary name. Easy to remember, and wrapped in a gentle air of mystery.
My intention is not to replace Sayonara’s, but to honor and evolve it. I see “Noshi” as a successor, a fresh take that still holds onto the heart of what Sayonara’s Gift Shop once was. If I'm allowed to, I would love to combine my stores lore with the lore of Sayonara. Weave its legacy around mine. Ensuring its memory stays alive through storytelling.
All put together: Noshi would be a continuation of the charm, magic, and community fondness that Sayonara’s Gift Shop brought to life. Just with a new coat of pastel paint… or rather... a darker, more mysterious twist.
While I'm looking to keep the shop’s legacy, I also intend to transform the place. A rebirth in shadows and sugar...
Picture this: a shop cloaked in an air of mystery, perhaps even a hint of the sinister, yet undeniably alluring. A place where curiosity meets confection, and riddles wrap around ribbons which will be on the items clients will buy. While the heart of Sayonara’s legacy remains carefully preserved, the stage will be reset, the curtains drawn anew.
Noshi shall stand not only as a tribute to what once was, but as a bold, enigmatic chapter of its own. A gift shop... with secrets. And who wouldn’t be intrigued by that?
What do you plan to do with your shop, and what makes it unique?:
My vision for this shop isn't only based on just restocking and selling. No, I intend to create an experience. Noshi will be more than just a place to buy good; It will be a space of engagement, interaction, and wonder.
In order to achieve this, I plan to:
1. Create a Unique Atmosphere
From the moment a customer steps into Noshi, I want them to feel like they’ve entered a world apart, not just a shop, but an experience. So it doesn't feel like just a plain silent store dealing in products. I want the place to actually captivate people and immerse customers into an entire different world.
- Aesthetic & Theme:
The shop will have a visually appealing and thematic ambiance, reflecting the essence of Sayonara, cute, sugary. However I will twist this into a more mysterious yet alluring atmosphere with deep cultural or fantastical undertones.
- Lore & Storytelling:
I can introduce the shop's subtle narrative, integrate a legend behind it, something that piques the curiosity of the customers and further draws them in. Afterall, the experience should be beyond just shopping.
In a bid to add to the mystique, I plan on setting up boards across the shop that offer riddles, cryptic messages, or hidden clues. The riddles can serve as hints to secrets revolving the shop's origins, special events that take place and even hidden discounts for those clever enough to solve them!! This way, it becomes a shop that people want to visit not just to buy, but to think and uncover.
2. Offering Exclusive & High-Quality items
There is no denying that Noshi will have an appeal. The goods I will be offering will be trimmed to perfection, selected with care, and so my shop would stand out. I will not be dealing with ordinary products. Rather, each item will be deliberately selected, meticulously crafted, and will mostly exclusively be sold in my store.
Some of the unique items I intend to sell are:
- Rare & Collectible Merchandise:
These items are likely the single reason why people would shop at my store, limited editions or items that are hard to come by.
- Event Merchandise:
Some events require remembering and what better way to remember than products that are only available during specific shop events, so customers would remember them, and encourage them to come back. In order to make my a little more interesting, I will hand over vouchers to customers who have won/actively participated in events. So they will surely be excited to come back to my store. Having people come back to my store for such reasons will highly increase popularity.
An example of an idea is a monthly rotating plushie that features different fandom characters each month. Customers will be motivated to visit on a regular basis so that they can be the first to collect the plushies before they vanish from the stock! This could also be considered a monthly lasting event. (Only if possible, since I get that customs are somewhat hard to come by.)
- Limited seasonal items
Merchandise for Specific Holidays or Celebrations, Items themed around specific holidays or festivals.
- Grand Opening Celebration:
I plan to host an event to mark the opening of Noshi. There’ll be mini-game of groups and the winner will receive discounts of my choice.
What would the mini-game look like? Well...
Noshi's photos trials
“The little fox is missing… And the world must remember her.”
Lore behind event:
It is said that the fox spirit known as Noshi, the heart and soul of the shop, sometimes gets overwhelmed by the noise of the world. She slips between the cloak of reality, disappearing into the corners of the city, quietly watching, quietly playing. But when she stays away for too long… Her magic begins to fade from the store.
Now it’s up to the people who are participating to bring her back to the store.
Of course, Noshi isn’t alive in the literal sense. She’s more of a symbol, an enchanted essence captured in the store’s logo, said to be tied to the joy and mystery shared between the shop and its visitors. So when Noshi is said to have “run away,” it’s more of a playful lore-driven spark to light the beginning of a fun trial.
How the game works:
Participants are devided into four teams, and each team receives a unique set of photographs or “location clues.” These are images of landmarks or known public areas around town. At each location, players must complete a creative challange as a team.
Examples of assignments include:- “Find a government worker and take a selfie. If not available, gather in front of the town hall and take a group photo.”
- “If you see someone with a strange or funny hat, ask if you can take a photo with them.”
- “Capture a moment of kindness. Whether it’s helping someone or sharing a laugh, take a group shot showing that memory."
Winning & Rewards:
The first team to return with all the required photos (completed properly!) wins the event and receives discounts, exclusive vouchers, or maybe even a special small gift item from the shop.
Other teams may receive small participation tokens, such as “I Helped Bring Noshi Back!” notes just to keep it fun and rewarding for everyone involved.
What do I hope to achieve with this event?
- interaction with the city and players
- Creative roleplay & photo ops
- Community building
- Adding depth to the shop’s mystical aura
- Compliment exchanges
“Even the quietest words can carry the warmest magic.”
Event concept:
Throughout an entire month, employees are encouraged to write anonymous notes to one another. Short compliments, kind observations, or shoutouts about things they’ve done well or qualities they admire. These notes are submitted privately and kept secret until the end of the event.
At the end of the month, all employees will receive a collection of the compliments they’ve received, bundled as if they were enchanted letters from Noshi herself.
How it works:
- Each employee is required to write one note per shift (or more, if they wish).
- Notes will reflect the specific tasks the person has performed, whether it’s supporting the individual, their creativity in which they handled a particular situation, their good vibes or how approachable they are.
- These notes will be submitted to the shopkeeper through a form.
- Every month, we will compile all the notes so that they can be given to every staff member in a sweet letter format. ICLY, but mailed OCLY.
Why its special and a good idea:
- Enhances employees’ self-confidence while helping promote team cohesion and appreciation.
- Allows even the most reserved staff members the opportunity to be welcomed and recognized.
- Very much part of Noshi’s overarching values: enchantment, community and warmth.
- Brings delight and touches of magic to daily work life.
Rewards:
The employee who wrote the most thoughtful notes will receive a bonus payment.
- Noshi's enchanted night market
“When the moon rises, the magic comes alive.”
This could also be in my advert sent out to the public. Since it's an actual exclusive night shop opening.
The advert would look something like this:
'When the moon rises… the magic comes alive!' On this rare and radiant evening, Noshi shines at its strongest. Feel the magic in the air... and let curiosity lead the way. Wander into a world of whispers, wonder, and elusive moonlit deals. The starlight shalln’t last forever.. Noshi is OPEN NOW... don’t miss your chance~!
(Ofcourse I'll make this look better with color codes and such when I actually present it. Furthermore I'll announce beforehand that this will happen by presenting posters.)
Concept:
Imagine a special night market hosted by Noshi, where exclusive goods, mystical items, and limited-time products are only available after dark. Or... even discounts ofcourse~!
This can be a storewide event, where select products get "enchanted" and are only available during these magical hours. I will also make it a bit more mysterious by encouraging players to search for a hidden market, where the limited-time products get sold.
How would it work?
Night market time: It would be announced ahead of time, where some days in the year are marked as Lunar Light Hours.
During these hours, certain products in the shop will have discounts or have unique products that players can’t get outside the event.
The interior will be changed to something more brighter and radiant for set night.
How will I gather custom items?
I'll mainly focus on the purchase of goods from others by spreading the word with another poster/advert.
'Do you have a custom item waiting to see the moonlight?
Noshi’s Enchanted Night Market is opening its veil once again.
A rare, limited-time event where magic thrives and mystery sells.
We're offering a special chance for your custom item to be showcased under the stars!
Submit your design and, if chosen, it will be presented as a featured item during this moonlit celebration.
- Limited slots available.
- Unique, themed, or whimsical items encouraged.
- Let your creation shine in Noshi’s most enchanting event of the season.
- Prices and arrangements can be discussed!
The moon won’t wait forever… Send in your submission before it fades~!'
What makes this such a good idea?
First, it creates a 'limited-time only' sense of urgency for customers.
Second, it also creates a magical exclusivity to my store which makes my customers feel like they're a part of something special.
And at last it really does fit Noshi's playful and secretive nature.
Noshi isn’t just a gift shop, it's actually a carefully enchanted space that thrives on emotion, wonder, and quiet whimsy. Its shelves will be curated with intention, not cluttered with common goods, but rather filled with small treasures, each with its own spark. A marketplace is hardly what comes to mind when thinking about the collection, but a storybook, where each item tells a tale, fits perfectly. As the shop develops its energy, like a flower blossoming in the moonlight, during its beginnings, Noshi's shelves will undergo a simplistic and intentional, selective scarcity phase. After all, magic and charm can never be rushed.
Here’s what shoppers can expect over time:
Collectible Charms:
These trinkets aren’t merely decorative; they are infused with Noshi’s protection and good fortune. Celestial designs... stars, moons, carry the energy of Noshi, while crystal charms like amethyst and rose quartz reflect healing and harmony. These items are meant to guide, protect, and bring good luck to whoever possesses them, a token of Noshi’s enduring affection.
Couple Bracelets & Charms:
Noshi believes in connection. These matching charms and bracelets are created with the intention to bring good fortune and luck to friends and partners. Charm phrases are to charm brooches like sister or mother nouns are to a person. These charms are used to bind bonds, whether romantic or platonic, but with Noshi’s blessings intertwined in every thread and charm.
Custom Notebooks:
A notebook is not just a place which serves as a repository for a random assortment of words; it is the birthplace of dreams. For those in need of deeper self-reflection, gentle guided magic flows through this custom-designed journals, nourishing imagination and insipration, cherishing thoughts, and carving forth hidden desires.
Flower Crowns:
These beautiful flower crowns are made with Noshi’s floral love and nature imprinted into each piece. Each crown captures her relationship with the earth and the calmness mixed in them. These crowns will add a dash of magic to your day, whether you are looking for a soft pastel look or something more mystical, and will help you feel balanced under Noshi’s comforting energy.
Bags & Purses:
More than a simple accessory, a Noshi bag is crafted to store your belongings and carry the magic of good fortune. Each bag has koi fishes or sakura blossoms twirling in pastel dreams which remind you to stay true to yourself while she guards your treasures. Every bag is said to carry a bit of Noshi's essence.
Hats & Hoods:
Noshi's playful wide-brimmed hats or beanies come with the adventurous twinkle of a fox and bunny-hooded hoods. All of these are intended to boost the wearer’s self-confidence, be it a beanie, a bunny-eared hood, or a frog hat. Everyone who puts these on is said to feel an essence of protection and confidence because somewhere within, a sprinkle of good fortune has been bestowed on them.
Designer Glasses:
The eyewear alters your perception but it also alters the world's perception about you. They add a touch of glamour with designs the likes of fire sunglasses. If at all possible, they offer them in a plethora of colors. These colors serve to make the world seem even more wondrously mysterious as it already is. Noshi's glassess are designed for those who like to look beyond the superficial and aren't afraid of seeing the world in the most vibrant colors possible. It isn't just a mere a piece of jewelry, but rather, it's an opportunity to embrace a new reality.
Noshi's Collection:
Every headband and hair clip adds a whiff of whimsy to the lifestyle, artistic, and unpredictable dimensions of hair accessories. Striding life with pure lightheartedness and mischief, bunny ears and bear clips are but a glimpse of what Noshi has to offer. Each piece reveals to us a hidden piece of laughter waiting to make smile whenever we need it the most, hence, transforming our mundane lives into bliss.
Cherry Blossom Hair Clips:
Sakura blossoms, with their quiet elegance, hold a deeper meaning. They aren’t just decorations. No, they're actually symbols of fleeting beauty and the mysteries that come with it. Noshi’s cherry blossom clips are like a gentle touch from the past, imbued with a feeling of both nostalgia and hope. There’s something magic-laden about them, like they carry the soft echo of an ancient secret that only a few can truly understand.
Stylish Scarves:
Imagining a world of limitless possibilities starting with a single word makes the head go round doesn’t it? Each of Noshi's scarves evokes softness, warmth, and mystery at the same time serving as an attitude encapsulating the jeweled layers of the world waiting to be discovered. Wrapping into a piece of charm in conjunction with the unmasking, scarf shall serve as an aid to slow down, wear a piece of Noshi, and embrace the world freely.
Elegant umbrellas:
When the rain falls, Noshi’s umbrellas both literally and metaphorically shield you... However they don't only do that, they also seem to transform the moment. With a variety of designs, including traditional wagasa and mystical patterns, these umbrellas carry an air of elegant mystery, as though each drop of rain holds the promise of a secret waiting to be discovered. Under Noshi’s watch, the rain won’t feel so heavy and as you walk beneath the umbrella, you can’t help but wonder: What mysteries will the storm reveal?
Character plushies:
Each plushie is more than just a toy, it's a mysterious companion, imbued with Noshi's mischievous energy. These soft, cuddly creatures aren't just for snuffling, they're actually there to hold secrets... Your secrets. To be the guardian of your most curious dreams. With every exclusive plushie which will be rotated each month. (if possible, I would love to start with an exclusive Lain plushie, however I do not think that I can achieve that as a biginner. Especially since I am focused on buying customs from others. If not then I may think of buying an own custom and adding it to my stock.) With every exclusive plushie, Noshi seems to whisper, “Take me with you, and let’s see what mysteries we can uncover together.”
Miniature Shrines & Torii Gates
Noshi’s shrines and torii gates possess an ancient elegance, while also framing a joyous enigma. These structures which is said Noshi’s magic touches bring with it a sense of wonder to the everyday world, imbued with spirits, said to be used for venerating spirits a magic which is no longer practised, is just an echo of the past. All of them are tiny portals into Otherland, that faraway world that can only be glimpsed through a wishful gaze but is unreachable for a full experienece. Carrying one serves as a reminder that there is a lot more beyond sight and is something worth searching for.
Final message:
Having thought of all of this, I am fully aware of the fact that this will not happen overnight, to have the right things and fully complete this vision. Noshi's magic doesn't happen overnight, and the shop needs time to develop, evolve, and perfect its services. With every great undertaking, patience is key. As Noshi's strength increases, the stock will increase as well, and with every new addition to the stockage, the shop will more and more resemble the vision that I have for it. Be inquisitive, and believe that the best is on its way.
What would adverts look like?
Well, they'd look like something as follows:
'Something stirs under the silver light...
Noshi is opening its doors, finally. A shop wrapped in mystery await you. Come see what the moonlight has blessed. Noshi is open! Follow the glow. We're located at (1604, 17, 631)'
'One moment, the streets were still.
The next?
Noshi appeared, glowing faintly, humming with secrets.
Everyone is welcome.
But be sure to not blink... You might miss your only chance.
Noshi's doors are now open, you can find us at (1604, 17, 631)'
'The fox has stirred. Her shelves are full.
Charms hum softly, flower crowns rest like sleeping dreams, and plushies await their home.
Dare to step inside? You can locate Noshi at (1604, 17, 631)'
After a while our adverts could look like this:
'The air feels lighter, doesn’t it?
That’s because Noshi is back.
Doors open soon. Don’t be late. Noshi hates saying goodbye too early.
You can find us at (1604, 17, 631)'
'A soft glow in the distance… could it be?
Yes, Noshi’s doors creak open once again.
Psst... follow the scent of sakura and the soft hum of magic, it’ll lead you straight to us. (1604, 17, 631)'
Management & Operations
How many employees do you plan to have?:
Shop Keeper 1/1
The shopkeeper holds the primary responsibility for everything within the store. This includes managing the store's day-to-day operations, overseeing the history of the shop, ensuring the flow of both employees and finances, and guaranteeing customer satisfaction. The shopkeeper is the face of Noshi, managing not only the shop's physical space but also the atmosphere, ensuring that it runs smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities also include overseeing shop inspections, as well as making high-level decisions related to stock, sales, and employee well-being.
Managers ?/2-3
Noshi will be supported by 2-3 managers, each with a specialized focus to ensure the smooth running of the store.
- Employee & Operations Manager (?/1)
This manager will oversee the employee management system, such as making the work roster, covering shifts, and liaising with the other managers. They'll process employee applications, induct new employees, and keep a friendly, orderly work environment. This manager will also make sure there is sufficient coverage for cashiers and security for the store hours. They'll also be in charge of training programs.
- Sales & Stock Manager (?/1)
This manager will oversee Noshi's finances, recording income, expenses, and overall sales performance. They will also keep track of inventory levels and make recommendations for reorders, so the store is never low on what is selling well. This position will also include keeping an eye on what is selling well and making recommendations for future inventory. They will coordinate with other managers to keep sales flowing without a loss of profit.
- Event Manager (Optional ?/1)
The third manager will handle creativity, brainstorming, and event planning to attract customers and boost sales. The manager will be responsible for devising and implementing special events like "The Enchanted Night Market" or other promotions of the store. They will work with the sales manager to ensure rewards and promotions are financially feasible for the store. Their creativity will also be crucial in making Noshi a pleasant destination for customers and in hosting regular events to make the shop environment new and engaging.
Cashiers shall come to symbolize Noshi; they will give the customer a positive experience while making a purchase. They should be calm, friendly, and approachable to give a good first impression. With 20 cashiers, we ensure that backup staff will always be available for any shift. The rotation system shall enable all to work at Noshi with optimal staffing levels.
Security: ?/10
The security personnel will be involved in ensuring a safe and welcoming atmosphere for customers and employees alike. The primary line of their action would be to avert provocations, de-escalate confrontations, and finally, evict any unruly parties. They shall work alongside the rest of the staff to safeguard all who are concerned, all the while honoring Noshi's ambience and rules. The administration of shifts for security will be taken care of by the employee manager in order to ensure maximum coverage.
Summary:
All personnel will have to cross under one roof, from managers to cashiers to security, to make sure that Noshi runs smoothly. Teamwork, especially among the managers, will be a factor to weigh in keeping a balance between operation chores, creativity, sales, and general employee satisfaction. By having a structure that fosters teamwork, a flexible work environment, and a well-rounded team, Noshi will optimally run, keeping the customer at the center of everything we do.
How will the schedule be managed moving forward?
The schedule I'll be using shall be updated monthly depending on the employee availability. The Empoyee & Operations management will collect shift preferences by announcing a poll in the discord server. The poll will include every date + hour the store will open, the employees have to simply react to the times they're available to ensure fair rotation and flexibility. Sudden abscences or shift swaps will be handled through our Discord server with proper communication and backup workers to take in their place if needed.
How are the employees picked for each shift?
The shifts I offer are rotated in order to give everyone a fair chance to work and earn their own deserved dabloons (Yen)... Availability, performance, as well as participation will help guide who gets scheduled. The Employee & Operation management will handle this through a transparent and trackable system.
What happens if someone misses their shift?
I understand that everyone has their own lives to live and that life can be unexpected sometimes! But not to worry, employees who miss their shift are expected to notify their manager at least 24 hours in advance. If they decide to be absent during set shift without reason, there may be consequences depending on the severity and repetition.
What will the schedule look like?
The schedule would look as follows:

As you can see here, this is the Moonphase Shift Chart Noshi Operations.
This document gives everyone a clear breakdown of who works during which opening, including ofcourse... Designated cashiers, security, managers for tuning. We even have a rotation of stand-by employees.
What are stand-by employees?
Stand-by employees are expected to remain available and reachable during shop hours, they don't have to work unless they're contacted. This will ensure flexibility and coverage without overstaffing, allowing Noshi to adapt smoothly to sudden changes or higher customer flow.
How does the schedule benefit the shop's success?
It's important to have a clear schedule since it ensures we're always staffed, and welcoming for every opening. It keeps the shop running smoothly and could help plan events in the future. It also ensures the team works together with clarity and consistency to avoid further confusion.
Will the shift schedule ever change?
Yes, it will. It's flexible, as the store will grow, events roll in and new items arrive. We will definitely open our store on different days and hours, we may also have extended hours. Any changes will be shared early so everyone can adjust accordingly.
How would you handle challenges or conflict within your team?
Conflict is inevitable in any environment, including Noshi. But I see it as something to be approached with understanding rather than to be judged and get over with.
The first step I’d take as a Shopkeeper is to always to listen and to really listen to the people involved in set situation. If any kind of disagreements happen, I want to make sure everyone involved feels heard and respected. I want to make sure that they feel like they're allowed to talk and that they have a voice. I’d prefer to speak to people individually first if needed, then mediate with neutrality to make sure there’s clarity, not tension. I want Noshi to be a safe space. For both the customers and for the team. That means that open dialogue and empathy are essential. If the situation escelates then I'll take action based around the gravity of the situation.
At the end of the day, we’re all human. And Noshi is meant to be a gentle place, not just in looks but in spirit. Conflict resolution, to me, is about guiding people back to that shared purpose and reminding them that we’re all here to create something special. together.
How will you track inventory and decide when to restock or discontinue items?
Inventory tracking will primarily be handled by the Manager of Finance and Goods. They'll be the one in charge of overseeing the sales and identifying which products perform well and which items are running low or falling behind in demand. Once an item is nearly or no longer selling efficiently, they will notify me immediately. We will then discuss further actions such as restocking and replacing the product which fell from demand.
How will you ensure that your shop is appropriate for shop inspections?
To fully ensure Noshi always meets inspection standards, I will uphold a routine of quality control and cleanliness myself. The store will remain organized, well staffed and visually presentable at all times. All employees present will be briefed on their responsibilities and expected to conduct themselves professionally during every shift. We will achieve this by training our newest members to the team. On top of that, having documentations such as schedules, inventory records and employee lists will be regularly updated and available for review. Having a strong foundation of preperation at all times ensures that inspections are not something to fear, but rather an opportunity to show the effort we put into maintaining a high-quality shop.
What’s your plan for onboarding and training new employees?
New employees will first be guided through an application and selection process, mainly being handled by the Manager of Employee & Operations. Once accepted, they'll undergo a structured onboarding phase made by me and the manager. Where we'll go over documentations on shop expectations, roles, and etiquette. Each new hire will be paired with the Manager of Employee & Operations and if I'm available, I'll definitely be there to help out. They'll also have the opportunity to shadow more experienced staff before being officially added to the rotation. So they won't have to feel uncomfortable or insecure during their shifts.
What will your approach be if something in the store isn’t working or selling well?
If the shop isn't performing as I had first anticipated, I'll treat this as an experience, an opportunity to learn and adapt. The manager of Finance and Goods will regularly check sales data to report underperforming items. We'll go over the cause, wether it's a lack of appeal, poor visibility, or simply not aligning with customer intersts.
As a response, we could either:
- Adjust the presentation of products
- Promote the shop through any means; OnRain, Notes, Adverts, Events.
- Or we could survey the public for their opinion
I mainly believe that staying flexible and open to change is the most important in order to keep Noshi fresh and engaging for the community. Not everything will be a hit, but every misstep is just another step closer to refining the shop into something even more magical and well-loved.
Personal Vision and Drive
Why do you want to become a Shopkeeper?:
First and foremost, I want to make it clear that I am not doing this for the money, I am truly dedicated to becoming a shopkeeper. The idea of having to manage my own shop excites me, and I believe this role will contribute to my financial experience, both in character and out of character. I know that taking on my own shop brings along a great deal of responsibility. But I'm here, eagerly waiting to take on that challenge.
Secondly, I love the idea of interacting with customers and creating an engaging shopping experience. I have always liked owning shops in games, the excitment I get when I have to restock, hire new employees and on top of that getting everything to run smoothly is something I find incredibly thrilling. I see this more than just the shop itself; it's an opportunity to bring something unique to the community.
Third, I believe owning a shop will open many oppurtunities for me, as I've mentioned before. It will allow me to engage with people, create meaningful roleplay experiences, and build connection. Just the thought of it fills me with immense joy.
Additionally, I want to improve accessibility for shoppers. I often realize that shops are closed when people from other timezones need them most. This being said, I can guarentee that everyone gets the necessary shopping experience.
At last, I don't just wanna run 'a' shop, I wish to create something extraordinary, something special and unique. I strive for my customers to feel welcomed, engaged, and at home the second they step foot inside my store.
Conclusion
Becoming a shopkeeper is more than just a role to me. I am very dedicated, hardworking and very eager to begin a shop that stands out to all the other people out there. I want to make a difference in the shopping experience. And most certainly bring excitment to the role.
If you happen to pass this application, what goals would you like to accomplish?
If I was fortunate to make it through with this application, I would like to express my first thanks to whoever took the time and patience to read this application and felt that I deserved to pass along the way. Then, I would like to set foot into a new beginning.
The opportunity to become a Shopkeeper and to own this shop means everything to me. This is not just a job, it has been a dream that I have worked so hard toward patiently. I will treasure every moment that I get to throw those doors open and welcome others into a space that I built from scratch.
At the same time, I would like Noshi to be much more than just a place to shop. I want it to be an inspiration. Just as I was inspired to apply after having seen the commitment and passion of the present-day shopkeepers, I want Noshi to inspire another. The level of commitment and care that is put into their shops cannot even be described; I will continue that tradition and uphold it with pride.
Furthermore, I have an idea of how Noshi would function. It would function with wonder and warmth. I want an appealing place where aesthetics meet intrigue. With every detail and every corner whispering stories spent. My goal is to not just make it a shop, but I wish for it to also be an entire world in itself. Events will happen that are beyond the mere transaction matter: Noshi's Photo Trials and The Enchanted Night Market, memorable events that people can have believed to have lived.
The stock will slowly, patiently grow, though, too. Noshi's shelves will not rush into being filled; they will be filled with love over time, during which they will reflect his mischievous spirit and subtle mystery. From sentimental products and luck charms to objects that rotate from time to time, everything will have its own meaning-profoundly beyond just what it shows from the outside.
Equally important to me are the employees who work at the store as well as the customers. I want to build an environment wherein collaboration, cooperation and creativity stand central, and where every member feels seen and valued. The objective is more than just shopkeeping, though; it is to make it seem like there is more to it than just working at a store, I want the people to feel like they’re actually a part of something. I want them to work at my store with a smile. I wish to create a place where people will come to search for connection and growth.
And lastly, even if Noshi is fresh, it does not forget what came before it. Sayonara's Gift Shop was an old favorite in the community, and I want to bring forward the legacy it withholds subtly. I want Noshi to be true to that, respect it's homage to the charm and the heart of what was, while growing into something entirely its own.
I want every step to bring care, creativity, and community in the space. I promise that if given the opportunity, I would give everything to make it something that not only I could pride on but something people would look at, too, and smile.
What makes you think you can become a Shopkeeper?
What makes me think I can become a Shopkeeper is not only the excitement I have towards owning a shop but more importantly, the dedication I’m willing to give it. I understand now that being a Shopkeeper is not only about having a big store and beautiful items to sell, or a nice store, it’s about having the exact amount of responsibility in order to keep things organized and fair for everyone, you'll have to be consistent with vision and with said responsibility you can actually bring your ideas to life. Which I intend to do. It also entails being a useful support for your team, and a flame for the community.
I thought long enough about running something like Noshi and what it entails. It is fairly obvious that at times it could pose challenges, more than a few culminating in a lot of unnoticed hard work in the background. But that’s the part I’d like to tackle. I’m willing to learn, put in the hours, and make sure that I can shoulder the responsibility of maintaining and elevating the store’s operational efficacy and its growth.
I’m sure in my creativity and in my ability to build a world that will have people longing to revisit it. At the same time, I am sure about my communication with the team, responsible delegation, and making balanced and just decisions. I believe in the potential of Noshi, but more than anything, I believe in myself to guide it.
And above all, I’m not doing this for the title or for recognition or for the income. No, I’m doing this because I love the idea of creating a space that feels alive, the idea of owning a shop and having to manage it. Creating memories which are memorable, and meaningful. For the community, for the team behind it, and for the story it’ll leave behind.
What makes you stand out from other people who wish to become a Shopkeeper?
I believe what sets me apart the most is the depth of intention I bring to the concept. It is not only about the creation of a store, but the entire world that surrounds it. When building Noshi, I concentrated not only on the products for sale and the design, but also the experience customers would undergo when walking through the doors. It was important to me that I practiced empathy, I envisioned the sensations, imagination, community, and identity accompanying immersion. For me, Noshi is not only a shop, but an evolving narrative that I wish others could immerse themselves in.
Others may look at this opportunity from the perspective of great imagination or organizational skills. While those traits and skills are incredibly important, it is my intention and goal to weave in personal and emotional threads of magic, mystery, and heartfelt consistency. Every element draws my attention, including but not limited to event execution and employee morale. And the shop in itself is an experience which is why I intend to make it alive with activities like Noshi’s Photo Trials or The Enchanted Night Market. There is also the potential for employee-driven lore initiatives, narrative-based activities, and customizable events focused on employee empowerment. not just a dull store next door.
My unique category is that I show unmatched patience. Unlike others, I allow shop spaces the needed time to develop. Self-improvement does sound enticing, but I welcome the chance to be guided and work together with others. In saying so, I am incredibly patient while working towards reality and have vivid goals that require a great amount of resolve.
Above all, my focus is to ensure Noshi becomes a hub that allows the public bask in the extraordinary. Without hesitation, I commit to guiding the shop while ensuring I showcase creativity and provide the utmost reverence to the role of being a shopkeeper.
How do you plan to stay consistent and avoid burnout as a Shopkeeper?
I recognize that running a shop is a big responsibility, and I’m fully aware that passion alone doesn’t do the job. Keeping the shelves stocked or the lights on. My approach to staying consistent will come from structure, communication, and a healthy mindset.
I intend to surround myself with a supportive team, delegating important roles like scheduling, sales tracking, and event planning to managers I trust. In order to ease some of the workload. However, this isn’t the only thing. It also empowers others to shine in their own personal way. Noshi isn’t a one-person show. It’s a community effort, with everyone having a voice and a space to grow.
I also believe in pacing. I’m not trying to rush anything into perfection. Noshi is meant to evolve overtime, that’s what the lore around her will be based on. Evolving over time and let it breathe and bloom at its own rhythm. This exact balance will help me avoid burnout and maintain the magic not just for me, but as well for others.
What's the first thing you'll do if you got accepted?
If accepted, my main goal will be to get the Discord server up and running immediately. I just want to make sure the team is organized and ready to start right away without any unnecessary delays. I’ll start with employee applications and assigning roles to get everyone in position. Meanwhile, I will work with a side crew to switch up some things in the interior of the shop to give it a fresh, different feel.
Once we get settled in good and things start to go smoothly, I’d also start planning costumes for the staff if I have the budget to back it up. This means getting a tailor to ensure these outfits lean towards the moods I want to project outwards in Noshi.

Additional notes about your application:
Thank you for taking the time to read this application. Whether I get accepted or not, I’ve poured my heart into this and I’m truly grateful for the opportunity. I hope Noshi’s spark speaks for itself.
Someone has told me that my lawyer position may cause an issue, since it uses a primary slot. I believe that this can be discussed further, privately. I'm an open minded person and will listen to any ideas. Even if that means that I have to step down as a lawyer.

Do you have any questions?:
Yes, I do have a few questions. More so out of genuine curiosity and a desire to understand things fully if I were to be accepted.
- How do item restocks typically work from a shopkeeper's side?
- Is there a way for shopkeepers to collaborate with other factions and such?
