What's your Minecraft Username?: Zrle
What's the title of your suggestion?: Certain Sport Rules Public
What's your suggestion?:
As everyone whose been on a team should know, we have our own handbook for rules that go along with it. Obviously, the rules are relatively well known, and I presume people not on teams know of them as well, however not all the rules.
What I am proposing is rules that affect people NOT on teams / interested in trying out for a team should be public.
Examples of rules that affect non-team members:
Of course, if it is desired, the entire document could be public, but I believe these rules in specific are needed. In addition, if these rules are public, it would be easy to link them in tryout announcements. So that way, if it relates to a tryout, they can be informed.
How will this benefit the server and community?:
These rules will help players who are affected by said rules to be better informed, rather than not knowing them. As for individual reasons for why those specific rules will benefit the community, I have listed them.
Rule 10: When anyone new to sports faction as a whole is trying out, they might be trying out on a character that has received a felony, or has committed specific crimes. It is near impossible for a captain to go and check the characters day of, so rather it can rely on the player to not tryout on a criminal character.
Rule 59: Again in similar to above ^^ many players might tryout for a team, but do not know the specifics of what scholarship means, hence they might not qualify, because they had no way of knowing.
Rule 61 & 62: This does NOT apply to tryoutees, but rather everyone on the server who is not apart of sports faction. Often players do not realize that we are unable to let them be involved in rivalry, and having to say "yeah its apart of our rulebook that you haven't ever seen, and you just have to follow it too." is kinda . . . well, hard for both sides. So this would really just prevent confusion between players, especially those in crime trying to gain perms off of it.
Overall, I believe these rules affect players who do not have access to the rulebook, hence, it should be public, and easily citable in the case of tryout announcements.

Examples of rules that affect non-team members:
10 Someone arrested for a felony in the last 3 months may not be on a team.
a. Players who have their character as convicted felon must be given the opportunity to change characters to remain on the team.
b. Felonies are defined in the following document: https://schoolrp.net/threads/town-laws-regulations-legislature-more.49631/
c. Characters who committed one of the following felonies may never be on teams:
- Animal Murder
- Assault with a Deadly Weapon
- Assault on a Government Official
- Assault with a Weapon
- Weapon Trafficking
- Hostage Taking
- Gang Affiliation
- Capital Murder
- First Degree Murder
- Second Degree Murder
- Manslaughter
- Conspiracy to Commit Murder/Major Injury
59. A college team may receive scholarships if and only if they are struggling to fill their roster.
- A scholarship is a high school student going to college to join a team in college.
- Scholarships are only given to students with a good record, this includes attended classes and detentions.
- The general requirements for this are as follows:
- Must have 2 or less detentions last month
- Must have attended at least 10 classes last month and 25 in total
- Must not have more than 1 suspension in the last year
- The above requirements are allowed to be changed by the college sports faction lead on a case-by-case basis.
- The general requirements for this are as follows:
61. Do not get gangs involved in any rivalry encounters or altercations between team members in the context of rivalry.
62. Do not get any outside player involved in any encounters or altercations between team members in the context of rivalry.
62. Do not get any outside player involved in any encounters or altercations between team members in the context of rivalry.
- When an outside player is directly involved in what happened this rule does not apply.
- Outside players are allowed to interact with the situation, however they do not have ANY perms. This means they can save your characters, but do not assault themselves.
