Out-Of-Character Information

What is your Minecraft username?:
clemetinee [Applying account]
clenetine [Main]

Do you have Discord (If so, what is your discord username?):
I do! clenetine is my user

How old are you? (Optional):
18!

What is your time zone?:
CST

Describe your activity on the server:
On both accounts I try to have an average of 4-5 hours when I can, but when I am on for the days I am off of work I play for around 10 hours! I am on the High school Swim team and have been involved in GangRP! 2 years on a server really goes by.

Have you ever been banned (If yes, when and why?):
Nope!

Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you will be demoted?:
I acknowledge this.

School Employee Role you are applying for?:
Tutor!

In as much detail as possible, describe the employee role you are applying for:
Tutors are the faculty members students go to when they have unanswered questions, difficulty on a project, or need some help reviewing the latest subject. They are skilled with work and have knowledge in all subjects but specialize in a few different ones. They are located on the highschool side and the end of the left side of the building and are there all day long. They are listed on the wall with what they specialize in but don’t be afraid to ask them a question, they will help you find the answer. They help both highschool and college students. Making sure students understand what they are being taught and have good grades!

What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?:
I have been roleplaying for around 6 years total! I started on Amino around 2016, left in 2020, and joined SRP in 2021! I am in the High-school swim team and am in a family! I have DetailRp experience, RomanceRP and FamilyRp!

Why do you want to join the School Employee faction?:
"Just one positive thought in the morning, can change your whole day." And that is exactly what I want to do on this character. I’m very interested in the Adult world of SRP, and joining the school faculty faction would help me see where I want to go on this server and give me more experience in roleplay. I enjoy being on the swim team a whole lot and have made so many friends because of it, and I would like to keep expanding on that. Having another character to play on and have more relative moments with sounds pleasant.

Situations

During a work-shift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how does your character react?:

Joan reacts in more of a calm manner, realizing she is the one being cursed at, she takes a moment and just lets them air it all out. Sitting with her hands in her lap, she waits for them to finish their speel. Understanding frustration is something she has become really good with considering how it might be pent up anger from a subject in class, another student messing with them. She takes a good look at the student. Her eyes asked if they were done. And then she would start, in a calm manner; “Alright, now no matter how unnecessary that was- can you please tell me why?” She leaned back, her pens sticking out of her little shirt pocket, her skirts pocket peeking out a detention slip with the students name on it. When the student finished telling her why and what made them do that, she slipped them over a little slip. Eyeing them again. “I understand if you get more mad because of that, but never ever talk to me, or any person like that again, it was rude. But out of it you get a free activity to do while you think about how you’re going to avoid that happening again.” She would give the student a closed-lip smile, it was better than getting screamed at by someone you come to get help from. “Next time go talk to a counselor, they will understand that subject way better than me. But I genuinely hope your day gets better.”

You notice two students are physically fighting in the hallway, – multiple punches have been thrown – how does your character react?:

She’d stop in her tracks and immediately and call for another faculty member, knowing that alone this would not go well for her. With the little time she had to assess the fight she would not immediately put her hands on the two students. If punches being thrown ended with one student weaker than the other, only then she could intervene. She pushed the tougher one away, making sure it wasn’t a shove or straight knock to the ground but a simple “Ok, this is over now.” She would look at both of them “Alright, both of you knuckle heads have explaining to do, right now.” She glared at both of them. Making sure her temper was still professional. Once the two students were done explaining, she would hand them both a slip. Their names on each one correlating to the student. And she would escort them to the nurses office. Making sure they got the only easy treatment of that day before their ultimate punishment was dished out to them based on the escalation of the fight. They are endangering themselves and others around them, Joan will not tolerate that.

Another school employee is clearly acting inappropriately, doing something very dangerous on the job, how does your character react?:

Her eyes would blink curiously at first, wondering what strange thing they are doing, and then immediately scramble over. “What are you doing?” She practically hissed out. Having a coworker doing something so unprofessional and dangerous was not something she clocked in to deal with today. “I know I am just a tutor, but you’re not at all, in any situation, allowed to do that.” The questions and scolding would continue, and based on what the coworker is doing she would go to SLT. Joan is a person of the people, protecting others as best as she can. With no doubt she cares for other way more than she cares for herself. The students here are her priority and no one is going to hurt or endanger them.

When in the employee break room, how does your character act?

She’s quiet, organizing papers and drinking an iced coffee. Even when it’s cold out. Her outfit is always ironed out and neat, not too flashy and nothing unprofessional. Her father taught her to be like this, and she’s not going to let him down. She may even be skimming through a copy of a students homework, her own version of it trying to figure out the questions being asked and how to direct the student into getting it completed. She is willing to help the teachers and professors with unprinted papers and librarians chatting with what new book is in the library. She always has light make-up paired with a glossy lip. Her heels clicking against the floor in that satisfying yet scary noise to hear, all around a ray of sunshine and ready to take on the day!

Provide us with at least three detailed /me's of your character whilst on your chosen role:

/me
walked through the halls with her handy-dandy purse in her elbow, her phone in the hand on that arm as she caught herself up on today’s Karakura News! She hummed, the intercom went off, teachers voices announcing students what classes they will be teaching and where to find them. Her heels stepping against the floorboards as she found her way to the Tutors lounge. The sunlight hugging the room in its warmth. Setting her stuff in her little area, she got a planner out, and wrote down her month as she prepared herself for the day.

/me applying another layer of chapstick, it stained Joan’s lips pink. She unfocused on that and turned to look around the room, a student popping their head out, she waved them over. “Did you need something honey?” Her smooth voice, it rang like music. A sweet smile creased its way onto her face. “If you do, please let me know! I can help you with anything.” She went back to applying her chapstick, before placing the cap back on and patiently waiting for someone with a new question.

/me looking down at the assigned homework, she bit her lip. It was math, while she did have vast knowledge, she forgets the moment she doesn’t need to use it. She tapped her pencil on the paper. “Alright, we are going to get through this together.” She stood up, scooching her chair back and going over to her bookshelf with the many many books on it, and handpicked the Math handbook out. Scanning through the index, she found their problem and opened it to that page. Smiling, she placed it next to the student. “I will also solve the problem with you, in case we run into a confusing stage and need to elaborate.” She chuckled, and began to write.

Backstory
Early Life
Joan was born on February 18th, into a loving family. Her mother was a strong caring Dutch woman who could cook a great family dinner in a day's worth, and her father an older French History professor at the University she attended. Her mother was surprised to see the positive test, both her parents in their mid-thirties when Joan made her warm and surprising welcome. Her parents whispered with a sleeping baby in their embrace “Joan Odette Marie Laurant.” The world was in her tiny hands, and her parents would give it to her.
The only Laurant child, Joan was a spoiled little girl. Her parents gave her love and attention and endless gifts for being well-behaved. She grew up comfortably, having play dates with her mother and helping her cook any chance she could. While studying with her father and learning endless amounts of information he could give her. He wanted his baby girl to follow in his footsteps. Throughout her school years Joan passed every class, with exceptional numbers in Reading and History. Her father was always watching her grades, which she found fair. But always helped her in history. Making her more interested in the subject throughout her years. Highschool life was tough, her own self-esteem made her hide away from others who were interested in her as she just focused on her school work. She was friendly, no doubt, but she didn't deem herself as pretty or stood out a whole bunch. She graduated as top of her class, giving the closing speech at the ceremony and speaking to the whole class as one for the first time. They cheered as their caps flew into the air, a proud smile on Joan and her own father's face.

Pre-Karakura.
University was a slow time for Joan. She studied like a dog, working hard and making her parents proud. With little friends and unlimited research, her finals in her classes all passed with outstanding marks and she graduated. Getting a job at a local Newspaper developing building. Exploring the world of reporting and journalism gaining more interest in the history of the world and in politics around her. Reading of what was happening because of what had been built into the government on sparked a bright light of interest. She picked up Goverment as a Minor, but changed it to her Major after seeing how well and easy she picked it up. Making Journalism her final minor. She frequented the tutoring section of her University finding more friends and help that she not only needed, but wanted. Her spark of life had created a bonfire or interests and people she could go to. With her finals going by like a breeze and another graduation ceremony. With clammy excited hands she tossed her cap into the air one last time.
Joan sought out for jobs. Finding places to apply for was easier than landing a flexible place to work. She often held study groups and helped people with homework, so maybe she could find something with that. As all of the spots were taken and her school life was coming to end, student loans and payments would also appear and she needed a way to avoid that. She waitressed at a local restaurant and was hoping to start on a job life more related to what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. She searched far, and far is where she found it. On a small Island she faintly remembered vacationing in, there was a spot, a spot she knew and was familiar with; Karakura. The little town had become much busier and bustling with people of all ages. Her most favorable spot on the beach now covered in houses for tourists.

Motivation for Joining KHS:
I want to put my knowledge to use and have answers to students' questions. They are the next generation and it is dire to me that they get the knowledge they deserve. Unanswered questions lead to unmotivation, and unmotivation leads you no-where. My father did not give up on me and I will not give up on the students. No question is embarrassing and they should have the confidence to ask, to try, to learn and understand. Making the next generation strong and willed for learning will lead to better adults.

Do you have any previous experience working in a school environment? If so, please elaborate (If not, respond with "N/A"):
N/A

Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?:
I would like to begin my journey here, teaching people has been something that runs through my family. My father was a professor, and my grandfather was promoted to the dean of the University he worked for before sadly passing. As I am an only child, I still want to follow that road of work as I have patience and the heart and mind to help others. My family helped me learn, giving me the chance to succeed and I want to give that chance to others. No matter where they may struggle, and how they find a way around it, I want to still be their best shot at passing!
