Why are Teachers so important to SchoolRP?:
I think there are many different opinions about why teachers are important in SchoolRP, but I'll try to explain it from my perspective. Teachers are necessary to support the core of the game; a large portion of the server is spent at school. Teachers are there to realize the server's purpose. By this, I mean that without teachers, there are few activities, which can cause some people to lose their enjoyment. It also has its advantages. I remember when I was new to SRP, I really benefited from the lessons, both educationally and in meeting new people on the server. In this way, the teacher role contributes to connection and educational prosperity.
Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you may lose your role?: Yes
Do you agree to undergo teacher training if your application is successful?: Yes

What's your character's full name?: Miyuki Kuroda
What is your character's nationality?: Japanese
What is your preferred subject to teach?: Physical Education
Describe your character:
Miyuki Kuroda is a 39 year old woman with a gentle, calm, yet elegant appearance. She has long blond hair and a calm face. Her brown eyes radiate kindness and warmth. Miyuki is a real thinker and always inspects carefully before she speaks. She finds it important to be appreciated and therefore takes her companions and students very seriously. Therefore, Miyuki will always do her best for others.
Yet, her gentle nature doesn't affect Miyuki. She believes that respect and understanding should be met with patience and sincerity, something she demonstrates to her students. To those around her, she often feels like a calming presence. Someone who can listen quietly and enthusiastically, preferring to do so rather than engage in conflict. She has a purpose in life: bringing warmth wherever she goes and helping others see the good in themselves.
What is your character's outlook on students and co-workers?:
Miyuki views students and co-workers with great patience and understanding. Because of her very positive and kind personality, she believes that everyone has unique and positive talents/personalities and strives to discover these in their own way. With students, however, she focuses more on guiding, motivating, and providing a safe environment in which they can grow both academically and personally.
She sees colleagues as partners in a shared task. This task means creating a positive, productive, and educational environment for their students. Miyuki is always ready to help colleagues, offer advice, and, ultimately, be a listening ear. She strongly believes in mutual respect and considers this very important, therefore, she always strives to be cooperative and friendly.
What is your character's motivation for teaching?:
Miyuki has always had a passion for sports and excelled in most of them, from competitions to team training. She believes it's important to share her knowledge and experiences so students can develop not only their physical skills but also their confidence and perseverance. For Miyuki, teaching is a way to transmit positive energy to students, inspire them, and show them that fun, collaboration, and hard work are a good combination. Finally, she wants to create an environment for her students where everyone feels comfortable.
Roleplay Scenarios
A student in class is struggling to understand the content, what would your character do?:
Miyuki notices that a student seems to be struggling with a sport. She calmly walks over to the student, kneels down to eye level, and says softly, "No problem, we'll tackle it together, step by step. Is that okay?" She watches the student's form attentively and tries to explain it as best she can, giving examples that relate to something the student is already good at, so the student feels empowered. She encourages the student and gives positive feedback, "It's getting better, keep it up." She stays close until she's sure the student understands and then calmly walks away.
A student is continuously being disruptive in class, talking out of turn, and making jokes with classmates. What would your character do?:
Miyuki notices a student stealing the class's attention in an unwelcome way. She calmly walks over to the student and looks at him kindly but seriously. She says in a serious tone, "Hey, I understand it's fun to make jokes, but we have to give others the opportunity to learn, and that's not possible this way." She does this in a gentle but firm tone. She walks back and gives the student a chance to compose himself. If the behavior continues, she escorts him to a quiet place in the classroom and explains that it might hinder or even disturb others. Miyuki remains calm and kind, emphasizing her appreciation for the student. In this way, she uses this moment to set boundaries without imposing punishment.
Provide at least 2 interactive class ideas related to your preferred subject:
First, I'd like to say that I find it important to be creative in my lessons. I don't just want to use existing sports, which almost everyone can do independently. I'd also like to showcase my own creativity, so I'm creating one idea based on an existing sport and the other using my own creativity!
My first idea is to start the class practicing volleyball. To my knowledge, this is one of the most highly regarded sports in Karakura, and one that most students enjoy. In this lesson, I want to explain how volleyball works, what the rules are, and how the scoring works so everyone understands the basics. Afterward, I'll go to the courts and quietly walk along the lines to check on everyone! She reminds the students to communicate well, as that's a very important aspect of sports. Miyuki isn't shy about not participating herself; she even enjoys it from time to time. She'll involve them even more in the class and hopes to create a stronger bond. As the lesson draws to a close, she discusses what the students thought of it, a bit of evaluation, so she can anticipate this in the future.
My second idea is to play the game "red light green light" with the class. We start in the classroom, and I explain the rules. I tell them that a student is chosen and must stand 15 meters away from the other students. This will take place on the roof of the school, where there's plenty of open space. The student turns around, and the other players run to the student as quickly as possible and try to tag them. The student can turn around and say "RED LIGHT." The players must then stop; if they still run, they're out and must return to their starting position. This continues until the students lose motivation or the lesson is over.
Through these lessons Miyuki hopes to build not only physical strength / achievements but also teamwork and confidence among her students.
