Ehehehh | Character Question Time

Oh God, it's this guy again???

Yes, it is me! I have a thing to say to the forums - obviously, or else I would not be here. Buuuuuuuut I was wondering, for you guys who are in gods know how many fandoms/fanbases! What character(s) from an already existing media have influenced/inspired the creation of your character(s)?
For me, my main character (V. 'Karl' Aiuchi-Stark) has been inspired by a mix of Joshua Graham (for the lore, at least) from the Honest Hearts DLC of Fallout New Vegas, alongside Rainbow Dash from My Little Pony. As well as Johnny Cage from Mortal Kombat, actually - hence why he goes by the alias of 'Cage' in Fight Club. Another character of mine, the ex-psychiatrist named Mechislav MacAlasdair, is sort of inspired by Arthur Morgan from Red Dead Redemption! I have plenty more characters, but these are just the examples for now. Feel free to add as many as you wish to the list!!!​

Akané Blackwood - Looks wise again, Katarina from League of Legends.. (I know nothing about this game) and Erza from Fairy Tail! I also made this character YEARS ago, so... Personality wise, I don't think I based her off of anyone? But if I had to pick someone that reminds me of her, I would say Kratos.. the god of war.
April K. Roselie - I took heavy inspo from Lucy in Fairy Tail! I love her sm..
Aerin Pearce - Taiga Aisaka. . .

I actually have a really great inspiration for my teacher character Kaito Akiyama.

He has always been inspired by Max Medina from Gilmore Girls! That friendly, quite cool teacher look. He always has time for his students, always wanting to be somebody for people to confide in, etc. I actually don't like Max Medina from Gilmore Girls ironically, however, I have so much love for Kaito. :)

Ooooo YESSSS IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!

Koizumi Saiky - Koi is a hard character because she’s inspired from a lot. However, her main most important inspiration is Channari (Channi) from the Six Crimson Crane series by Elizabeth Lim and also heavily inspired from Xingyin from The Daughter of the Moon Goddess by Sue Lynn Tan. Both characters feature a roughish past which forges them into the cold calculating twist villains almost that they are in the books. (Highly suggest the series if you love Chinese mythology, some light romance and a beautifully bitter sweet ending).

Rini Kōraru Sango - Rini is harder because she takes inspiration from a lot of things. Her main drive however and inspiration is actually taken from those mother characters in films who are just fun and caring. She’s actually heavily inspired from my own mother in-real-life and how my mum acts and presents herself to her friends and family. Oh and also the over dramatic Kiki from the Six Crimson Cranes by Elizabeth Lim.

Sakura Harukichi - Sakura is simple. She’s actually inspired of myself and Vannie, Shiori and Takkans little sister from the Six Crimson Crane series by Elizabeth Lim (I love this series). Just the calm and collected nature they all show is special.

Ume Saiky - I have a few for her and all of them come from different books of my favourite characters. I really really love Maia Tamarin from Spin The Dawn series by Elizabeth Lim (I love this author). Then Xue from Song of the Six Realms by Judy I. Lin and Ning from A Venom Dark and Sweet by the same author. Then finally Mina from The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea by Axie Oh. Just the tone in which these characters are portrayed the drive, the passion the desire to be someone or do something good really touches my heart and makes me want to try a character like this in the form of Ume. Her design and features are also heavily inspired by Mina’s appearance in the book. (I heavily suggest reading this book, Axie Oh has an amazing talent)

all these books are my all time favourites if you love Chinese mythology (besides fell beneath the sea that’s actually Korean mythology) I highly suggest them all.

Hiiro Shimamura is based off of Hiiro Amagi from Ensemble Stars!!

Tatsumi Tojo is based off of Tatsumi Kazehaya from..... Ensemble Stars!!...

And Kanata Tsurimoto is based off of Kanata Shinkai from... you guessed it... Ensemble Stars!!........

Okay now its my turn to write some stuff

Tsubaki Watanabe - I got her name, Tsubaki, from the Soul Eater anime character named Tsubaki haha. The surname, Watanabe, however I just did some digging around for research and I was like ooo Watanabe sounds great. As I developed Tsubaki over time and her relatives I made the Watanabe surname actually have a meaning for my characters and her relatives. And that would be, the name Watanabe was a old Samurai Clan many generations ago and there's a heirloom that was carried down the families generation and its now with Tsubaki's aunt. The heirloom is a katana stand, each katana being in the colors of the Watanabe name: Black, Gold, and White.

Sora Sinclair - I forgot where I got the name Sora from, but I got the surname Sinclair from my favorite webtoon, Purple Hyacinth taken from Lauren Sinclair. I also did take inspiration from Lauren's lore in the webtoon and took that inspiration to build Sora's lore.

and yeah that's all guess you can guess those are my most two played characters but Tsubaki is my most developed and my main character she is my baby :D

The character of mine that I adore the most HAAAS to be my girl Arielle.

If we're talking appearance, my biggest inspiration was definitely Rikki from H2O. Her entire style and general vibe stuck with me growing up. Personality was Cat from Victorious (ONLY SEASON 1).

For Felix (or whatever name he goes by) it WOULD be Allen Walker from D. Grey Man. And Vex'ahlia from Critical Role definitely gave me some ideas for his current arc (I love sibling drama!) There are many insparations that i can't think of, considering he was one of my D&D characters.

And Mirae is HEAVILY inspired from a few characters in Vicn's series (specifically Hammah). And her current arc mirrors my Dark Urge playthrough in Baldur's gate 3 (just gotta find her a silly butler).

Mee-young Jaibatsume	Hilda, for her blue hair, aside from that her character is actually pretty original, though she did have an entire arc where she didn’t speak, you could say that may have had something to do with Komi from Komi can’t communicate.
Amelia Lee Moon	Amy park from I love Amy, easy, though her personality almost opposites the character out of the manhwa at times but she still ended up marrying a blonde girl
