What's your Minecraft Username?: CriminalRP
What's the title of your suggestion?: Fair Combat RP fights

What's your suggestion?:
I'm CriminalRP i am not really necessarily known in the criminal underworld in character but i am somewhat heavily known for combat roleplay. Some people use height or bodily features to avoid hits and This is why I'm making a suggestion.

Have you ever had a 4'11 Feet tall gang roleplay character and your opponent who is 6 feet tall said you can't punch em in the face well its not fair to be honest. It is unfair to most of the gang role play community or the Criminal Roleplay community to use features of a character to avoid combat roleplay hits in general.

Combat Roleplay rule 6.9 If Implemented it would help short characters get a fair fight for every senario. Any character features will not limit hits from landing wether it be from height being slim or anything that would prevent a hit in real life.

I don't think realism should decide fights in combat roleplay and I think any hit should apply to any character if hit in the face sweeped or any action that would help get a player unconscious no mater their height size or body In general. Any characters bodies will not limit hits from a opponent thus removing excuses from tall characters to not register hits.

How will this benefit the server and community?:
It will benefit the community by making fights between short and tall more fair in any situation.

I don't care about realism, but you can already do something? You could knock them over and then attack them, or for example, pull their head down and hit their head that way. Not verified examples but all I'm saying is that it is possible to RP fighting a taller person without a new rule

if you wanna combatrp on a character maybe dont make them 4'11, a lot of ppl irl will stay away from fights because of their size/strength- which just isnt optimal. i dont see why this is needed because of weths points too, you can still fight just with more effort

with shorter or taller characters come with risks. You just have to play it around your characters strengths and weaknesses. What are those? Well you gotta figure that out!! All of my characters have weaknesses due to... whatever their life has lead them up to and each even have their own fighting style. Its a ROLEPLAY server, and not GANG rp

Now I have combatRP'd with both tall and short chars so I can understand slightly where you're coming from however when it comes to height it really doesn't make sense for someone who is 4ft something to be able to easily punch someone in the face that's 6ft+. When it comes combatRP as DarkEclipic mentioned it's about your chars weakness and strengths. For example, I have a char who is 5'3 and I combatRP with, she primarily has fought against people averaging near the 6ft mark so she's more commonly using more lower body attacks against her opponent to counter-act that height difference to attack on a more easily reasonable level for her height, often trying to knock the person down to lower them to get to vital areas. While my taller char who is 6'3, if he's fighting without some sort of weapon (which was rare for him) he usually using more full body attacks or simple punches, BUT he struggles getting more lower-body attacks on his opponents. Each char has different fighting styles based on their strengths and weaknesses. There's multiple ways to counter-act the height differences in combatRP, but if you don't like fighting as a 4'11 char, then you don't have too.

Height differences are something you should take into consideration when writing your actions, but there aren't any rules that influence interactions between characters that have them. If somebody tells you that your character can't land headshots because of their height, they are making it up; ask them to tell you the specific rule preventing you from going for the head, and when they can't provide it, you can continue roleplay as normal.

Rules aside, if you wanted to roleplay a short person versus a tall person more realistically, your character might need to attack in certain ways in order to land a headshot (such as taking advantage of the brief moment of vulnerability after somebody misses an attack, which usually leaves them wide open).

We don't need to change what doesn't need to be changed, if you wish to play with realism like that then go for it but it doesn't mean you should suggest a way for all of us to change the way we gangrp for realism purposes and making it so that someone who is 4'11 cant get a Ko point while fighting a 6'1 individual. Additionally making your character 4'11 is also a personal choice, if you dont like it then you can simply adjust your height. Gangrp is better off without this.

I don't agree with the suggestion itself.
However I would like to note that a lot of people don't know how to combatRP, let alone painRP properly. Fun fact, when you eat an elbow to the chin, or a knee to the face, you do not eat that shit. You fall unconscious. Or you're in considerable pain. People always like neglecting that and treating their characters as gods!

If we’re thinking realistically here, getting into fights will never be fair. So if you go up against someone who is taller than you, I’m sure you can find some way to beat them. Whether that’s tackling them, sweeping them, etc. CombatRP will never be fair when it comes to character features however, I agree with what Tay said. I’ve seen people treat their characters like gods and be invincible when it comes to CombatRP. If you want to be all high and mighty then go to a fantasized server and act like a god. SRP is not the place to act all god like and be untouchable when it comes to CombatRP. However, this has always been an issue and with my time here in the community it has never been resolved and probably will never be.
