Do you have Discord (If so, what is your discord username?):
GayTime (gayest_of_cereals)
What is your time zone?:
AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time)
Describe your activity on the server:
My activity on the server varies, while I've spent a long time on it, the activities I get up to on it have recently changed. Most of the time, on my fruitylooped account, I am participating in my shrine staff duties, and increasing my knowledge on DetailRP and the history of the server itself. While I do spend a lot of my time there, I've also recently been accepted into the College Swim team on my GayCereal_ account. I spend just as much time partaking in team events, practice and overall communication with the other team members and members of the community.
I've been on this server for quite a long time now, my current activities are time consuming in their own ways, but especially in some areas the activity can die down as the rate of different little occurrences slows down. Taking into consideration of my OOC life out of the server, I do have quite a few tasks in my day-to-day schedule, but my activity on the server remains consistent.
Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you will be demoted?:
Yes, I am aware and completely acknowledge that.
School Employee Role you are applying for?:
Chef
In as much detail as possible, describe the employee role you are applying for:
As the school chef, the role is considered to require a decent understanding of being both responsible, and appropriate around the students and other faculty members, in and outside of the school. The job itself circles around the idea of a person who provides breakfast and lunch to the students, at the cafeteria. An underlying quality that is also appreciated in the role is having a large understanding of how the food preparation usually goes, provided that the school chef, being a chef, would be some-what knowledgeable on how to prepare and produce the product. As the school chef, while their role is to provide food for the students at breakfast and lunchtime, that is not the only thing they are required to do. Outside of those times, the person must patrol the school as if they were a councilor. The person must patrol around, attend to callings over the radio and hand out detentions or warnings to students that are in need of discipline. On top of this duty, the chef must also attend the after school detention if they were one of the staff members to hand out a detention slip, or if no one else is available. It is commonly expected that the chef will be available to provide their assistance in those situations. All of this is done so they can earn their own quota, reaching their requirement.
What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?:
I believe I have an outstanding amount of experience in roleplay, especially due to my time in the server and the roles I now possess. I've gained a wider understanding of it throughout my time on the server, and having an account in the shrine faction has definitely helped me continue my learning experience in an upward direction. My recent arrival into the swim team has also encouraged me to increase the amount of detail I use, and while being apart of the shrine faction it has made it far easier. But my understanding of roleplay does not just come from those three sources, I've previously been apart of the school faction twice now, which has also aided in my experience, making it easier for me to provide a detailed explanation on say, the topic of a chef. I've had plenty of time to put my practice to work, with my previous experience in the school and my current experience in the shrine, from the preparation of foot or beverages to the serving of it. I've become extremely familiar with each command used regularly on this server. Although I have explained my experience in roleplay, I know I've still got quite a long way to go, and will always be open to widening my knowledge on the topic.
Why do you want to join the School Employee faction?:
My motivation for joining the school employee faction as a school chef mostly circles around the topic of things to fill in my time. Yes, I adore the two roles I currently possess, but they lack the capability to fill my free time when things aren't actively going on. For example, I love being apart of the shrine faction, but especially during school time the flow of roleplay interactions I get comes to a complete halt, and I grow extremely envious and bored of the school faction. Having the freedom to be apart of such a lovely faction while being apart of another would be lovely, especially knowing a fellow member is doing that exact thing. My previous experiences in the school faction have left me with nothing but joy, my reasons for leaving were only for other reasons. Once upon a time, I used to also be a Chef at the school, I found it to be one of the best factions I've been apart of, with the welcoming community and the easy-going workload. I've come to miss that lovely feeling of being apart of the school faction. And I've come to realize there's been several changes to the plugin, which I am eager to dive into and look at. Back to the topic of the welcoming community I've gotten on both of my times in the faction, this time around I've already got a familiar face in the department I am applying for, which makes my motivation rise more as having those familiar faces around really does encourage me to apply again, and having the inside scoop of what has changed has also been a large motivator.

Situations
/*Do not mention use of FearRP*/
During a work-shift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how does your character react?:
Hao, being naturally easy-going and relatively loose on how strict he was, would be rather taken aback by the sudden outburst. But At the occurrence of this, the first thing he would do is to calmly turn around, and ask the student to stop, whilst including an underlying warning of a potential detention if they were to continue. If the negative behavior were to continue to proceed, Hao would then be inclined to send off a more firm, strict message toward the student, reminding them of the rules, and of course, social adequate that is to be followed during school hours and while on its grounds. Following that, he'd also issue another, more clear warning to the student, making that strike two. In the unfortunate circumstance that this was to continue again, Hao would officially issue a proper, formal detention to the student, handing over a slip whilst giving off one final warning. Throughout this situation, Hao would continuously keep his radio in hand, updating his fellow staff members on the situation if it were to escalate further.
You notice two students are physically fighting in the hallway, – multiple punches have been thrown – how does your character react?:
Hao's hand would immediately move to his radio, instantly calling for other staff members to aid in the separation of mediation of the brawl. Hao would then moved quickly toward the now forming crowd, instruction students to clear out and not to loiter while he made his way to the situation. He'd raise his voice, speaking in a low, commanding tone for the pair to separate, if they were to continue fighting, he'd move in between them, pulling them apart whilst the other faculty arrived to assist in the separation. Hao would then immediately issue detention to the pair of them, no matter the reasons for their fight. After this, he'd escort them to the nurse's office to be attended to. While in there, he'd go to each student, questioning them on the reasons and motivations for the fight to get some sort of a background to this tussle. Hao would then move on to calmly explain the rules around the topic, whilst suggesting several ways in which they could have mediated the fight without leading toward physical violence. This may have not taken away their given detentions, but Hao would quietly hope that this would be a lesson they'd have learned. Once the day's festivities had concluded, Hao would then attend the after school detention especially due to him being the staff member who had issued it in the first place.
Another school employee is clearly acting inappropriately, doing something very dangerous on the job, how does your character react?:
Hao would obviously, be rather taken aback by the sight he'd be seeing from his fellow colleague, he'd approach them in a private area, to avoid bring unwanted attention to the situation. In that area, Hao would quietly question the staff member, a face filled with concern and cautious suspicion. Upon getting the answer he'd hoped to not receive, Hao would would sternly propose an ultimatum. This would entail an agreement in which the staff member must both, stop their actions and personally approach their head of department or department supervisor and confess to their actions whilst apologizing. Hao would make the first section incredibly clear, as to prompt the person to pick it. His demeanor would shift to a more grim, unforgiving state as he spoke the second part. It included the key factor that Hao, himself would report this if it was not honestly and appropriately taken care of by the employee themselves. Hao would outline the importance of this, making it clear that if he were to find out that the staff member had continued to do this even after apologizing, he'd go to report it without a warning.
When in the employee break room, how does your character act?
When Hao creaks open the break room door, he'd drop his demeanor, letting out a rather exhausted sigh. Hao would approach the coffee maker, brewing himself a steaming cup of coffee. As it slowly filled up, he'd take the chance to look around at his surroundings. He was all alone in the room. His shoulders would slump a little as this was realized, he turned around to take his coffee, blowing on it as the steam would rise into the air. Hao would move toward the plush couch, slowly leaning down to take a seat in it, feeling his own knees tighten as they'd bend. Upon sitting down, Hao would continue to drink from his still, warm cup of coffee while he'd pull out a.. news paper? How classic of him. Hao would fold it in half to begin reading, moving to place his glasses over his head, letting them rest on the bridge of his nose, his eyes scanning the paper. As the time passed in the break room, Hao would continuously move to look at his watch, keeping an eye on the time, didn't want to forget about his lunch duties, did he? The sound of the door opening encouraged Hao to look up from the paper, it was one of his colleagues. Hao would offer a warm smile toward them, moving his glasses up so his eyes would adjust to the now long-distance view, they were only for reading, after all. His left hand would rise, giving a wave as he beckoned over the employee to come sit. Hao would continue to sip at his coffee as he spoke with the person, having a rather splendid session of small-talk. His eyes moved to his watch again, Hao let out a sigh. It was time for him to head to the cafeteria. Hao would down the rest of his coffee before setting his news paper aside. He'd give a lazy wave to the employee as he departed, exiting the room.
Provide us with at least three detailed /me's of your character whilst on your chosen role:
/me Hao's hands pressed against the soft fabric of the couch within the break room. He set his empty cup aside onto the table as he stood, a slight pop in his back and hip caused him to let out a raspy groan, his age was catching up with him. Hao let out a half-defeated sigh, before leaning to take his rubbish, moving to place it in the rubbish bin. Hao would approach the doors that would lead him out of the faculty lounge, he spun around to bid farewell to the other coworkers that were resting in the room. Hao stepped into the hallway, putting on his 'welcoming face' for any students to view as they approached him. Hao's wrist flexed toward him, his gaze shifted, unconsciously being drawn to his watch as he took a glimpse at the time. His eyes widened for a moment as he realized how fast it had gone by. He mumbled inaudible, but appropriate words under his breath, most in a panic to being late. Hao's footsteps quickened into a some-what of a jog. He'd pick up the pace a bit more, the popping in his hip did not deter him. Hao moved to quickly open the kitchen doors, slipping inside. He did not have quite a lot of time to prepare the food, but there was still plenty of time. Hao moved into the kitchen, pulling an apron over his head, reaching back to tie it from the back. Hao would glance to the side, waving at students as they beckoned him over, he waved them off, moving behind the second-to-front counter, beginning his work.
/me Hao's hands moved fast, reaching into the fridge, the cabinets and from left to right to even above or below. Hao was gathering all of the needed supplies for his lunch preparation. He'd line up several trays on the side, where he'd place at least ten taco shells at minimum on each after preheating the oven. After a few moments, when Hao was satisfied, he'd place the trays on each oven, filling them to a comfortable capacity. Once he'd made sure everything was sorted for the first part, he'd move on to the preparation of the mince that would be going inside the shells. He'd take out a defrosted bag of mince from the bridge, then another, and other. He'd do one bag at a time. With gloved hands, Hao would get a single bag's worth of mince into a bowl, adorning it with salts, spices and a few herb seasonings. Hao would then kneed the mince, mixing it all in, he'd repeat this with each bag's worth, until it had all been set. After this, Hao would set out several pots. squirting oil and pouring finely diced and minced onions into the pots, allowing it to cook a bit before he'd then proceed to add portions of the mince, placing it in each pot. As it sizzled, hao added a few more little bits of seasoning. During this, he'd move to check on the taco shells, which still had not hardened completely. Hao would close the oven once more before moving back to the pots, stirring around the mince until they began to brown, signifying that they'd been properly cooked. At that moment, Hao's hand shot up to dial down each temperature setting the ovens were on. He'd then take that time to move away, grabbing hold of a cutting board. He'd collect several more ingredients, carrot, mushroom and lettuce. Hao would finely dice up each ingredient, moving them to the side into a plastic bowl. As he was cutting, his performance was just as well as anyone would expect. His fingers remained on point, the body of his fingers acting as a wall to avoid cutting himself. He'd move with precision, the sound of the knife meeting the board became rather irritating. Hao let out a sigh as he scooped the last of the ingredients into the bowl, moving it toward the low-cooking pots on each stovetop. He'd scoop a generous handful into each pot until everything had been finished, stirring it in. Hao would then take the moment to collect some.. beef stock? Yeah, beef stock. He'd take several cartons of it, pouring each one into the pots to provide a bit of a sauce to it. He'd stir everything around before placing a lid on top, allowing it to boil. Letting out a sigh, Hao checked his watch, the thought of the taco shells had crossed his mind, he rushed to the ovens, opening them to check. They were all cooked beautifully, only a few deformities. Hao would clove up and remove each tray from the ovens, switching them off and letting the shells cool. After a few moments, Hao would move toward the lunch trays, setting quite a few out onto the table. He'd shop up several fruits and vegetables, placing them in the small sections that they were allocated for. Once this was done, Hao would move back to the now cool taco shells, carefully filling each of them with the mince mixture he'd been making that whole time. Right on queue, the lunch bell rang. Hao stood tall, waiting for his impending doom of a large line full of double-ups and cutters.
/me Hao's eyes widened slightly at the sudden sight of an enormous amount of students flooding the hallway, hall lining up. He's look to his right, hoping that there was another one of the chefs there to aid in this chaotic adventure. To his dismay, there wasn't Hao inhaled sharply, looking back at the student standing in front of him, plastering on a welcoming smile, he's sputter out the three words, "Regular or Vegan?" At the student's request of a regular lunch, Hao would slide a taco tray toward them. Hao continued this routine, memorizing each face to the best of his ability that had been through the line, he'd constantly be kicking out people who were trying for seconds and even then, it was hard to recall who'd been there and who'd only just arrived. Hao's attention was drawn to a scene happening toward the middle of the line, two students were arguing, yelling out very colorful words to each other, as each of them accused each other of cutting in front of them. Hao would glance around, in hopes that another faculty member was supervising, but again, there wasn't hao whispered into his radio, requesting someone to come over to help solve the dispute. Hao did this while continuing to serve food. After his radio call, he'd turn his attention to the two kids, raising his voice just enough for the pair to hear him. "You two! Cut it out and mind your language, please. If you're cutting, get to the back of the line." Hao would turn back to the student standing in front of him, sliding over a vegan tray of miso soup. As the thought that perhaps the fighting had stopped crossed his mind, the shouting resumed, a frown played at the corners of his lips as he continued to serve. Luckily, at that point another faculty member had arrived, they'd began to mediate the fight, giving the pair a warning. Hao would continue his activities until the line died down, and the period four bell had run. he'd take the remaining trays, boxing up the leftover food for faculty members to take as they pleased. Hao would then move behind the counter again, this time filling the sink with hot water. As he washed, drops of sweat moved down his face, mostly due to the heat that was around him. He continued washing, packing away what was dried and soaking what had unfortunately hardened.

Backstory
/* Describe how your character ended up becoming an employee including their previous life. It's optional to include earlier life. Make sure this is over 300 words and remove this comment after posting.*/
Hao Wu, a man born in Beijing China. In his youth, he was accompanied by a younger sister and two rather fond parents. Growing up, Hao attended The International School of Beijing, where many different faces from different countries, cultures and religions passed by him each day. Growing up, Hao had started out young, helping his mother, Jing Wu, in the kitchen. Hao had grown a rather fond fascination for the different varieties of food, and the different techniques when preparing different dishes. Hao had taken it upon himself to assist whenever possible. Later on in his schooling life, teachers had driven him to focus on more profitable careers, like something medical. Hao had put his desires to the side, focusing on his schooling life.
As Hao moved through high school, the options of different subjects and experience came rising to the top again, all things that a student could choose to help shape their own pathway for their impending adulthood. Hao, out of longing to get back into the kitchen, had chosen culinary arts as one of his own subjects, along side with Psychology and Law which both followed him during his time there. During those years, Hao had observed the compatibility and fondness the school staff had grown with each other, obviously knowing each other by name and always having the freedom to make jokes and mess around. Hao hadn't paid much attention to any of that during his time there, unfortunately.
At a darker point of his life, Hao's mother, Jing had passed away, which had encouraged Hao to go back into taking on his mother's role, as his sister, Mei still had to focus on her own primary school years, not even thinking about high school just yet. Hao resumed his hobby, of helping out in the kitchen, although it was just him this time, and for the foreseeable future. Hao's interest grew once more at the topic of culinary arts, which had mostly lead him to picking it as a subject to Major in at college. However much Hao had loved culinary arts, the likelihood of getting a successful, sustainable career with that degree was low, Hao had moved to earn his own PhD in psychology. The topic never interested him, but he was good at it, decent. As the time passed after his own graduation, Hao's need for a job grew. He turned to the school he'd once attended, seeking out guidance. The option for becoming a chef there has popped up, in desperation Hao had accepted.
Being apart of that faculty Hao had watch growing up, it felt surreal. The environment was both welcoming and enjoyable, and Hao also got the chance to engage more in the subject he'd spent years of his life pondering about and driving to and from it. Hao stayed in that position for about two years, before that very school had offered him a spot in a classroom to become a professor. Of course, he applied for it, but his knowledge on the culinary topic had bumped him to the top of the list. Teaching hadn't been as good as Hao had hoped, so only after a year of being there, Hao was already looking for new opportunities. 'Karakura, Japan' Had popped up in his recommendations, Hao was more than thrilled to type up his own application. Shortly after that, Hao made the dangerous decision of moving to Karakura, permanently, whether he'd get the job or not.
Motivation for Joining KHS (Character perspective):
What's my motivation for joining, you ask? Well, I've always had quite an interest in the teamwork that commences in a school faculty team, I've come to miss my prior years at the last school I was stationed at. In that school, I've had a while of experience being a school's chef, from cooking, preparing and providing the the food throughout the day's designated timelines. Being apart of a strong team that also encourages and promotes honesty, fun, and humor is something I've always adored being involved in. Having the chance to go through all of this again in a new place, new faces and new.. personalities? That'll all help me to figuring out my footing here. I've been told wonderous things about this school, and I've always strived to investigate any rumors to put anyone's money where their mouth is. The teamwork that comes from being apart of a team like this is truly mesmerizing, it provides a sense of stability, comfort and even people that I can soon call my own friends. I've tried my luck in the past with potentially being a college professor after I left my previous job as that school's chef, but I lost the feeling of comfort, and I longed to find a team that I'd ne well associated with. I find that being apart of the employee part of the school faculty in general increases my variety of people to communicate with, as we would be working closer together compared to teachers and professors, I have no intention of 'dissing' those who choose to go down that path, but I've found that it's not quite the path for me, and being apart of the employee team as one of your school chefs, I believe is.
Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?:
Believe I am a perfect candidate for this position as I am a person who intends to take pride in my work. I will always be open to advice or to listen to what other members are saying or trying to suggest to me. I am a person who strives to look for ways to improve myself, so I take criticism seriously, I work on improving what has been outlined as wrong or incorrect. Being able to listen to my colleagues and higher-ups, in my opinion is a very sought after quality in the work environment, and I believe I am a near perfect image of that. On top of that, I've also got plenty of prior experience within a schooling environment, yes, I've been to school, but I've also spent a lot of time working at one, AS a school chef. Which immediately proves that I already have prior experience and knowledge on how I must act and enforce the rules throughout the day. Having my previous experience as both a professor and a chef both place me in a sweet spot, I believe as I've been up front in my career, having that experience handling students on a day-to-day basis and having to both teach and provide lunch for them will also aid in my argument. I'm not saying I'm the best of the best out of any options that may come for this role, but I believe that I am incredibly suitable for this role.
