PREVIOUS WARNS/KICKS/BANS:
I have previous warnings/kicks/bans to my knowledge (besides the occasional kick for a role-change or AFK), mainly due to the fact that I prefer to keep my record clean.
SHOP WANTED:
The shop I am applying for is ‘Cherry Street’, which will be renamed to 'Koribureku'.
WHY DO YOU WANT TO OWN A SHOP?:
There is a multitude of reasons as to why I’d like to own a store. For one, I have had the same adult role for nearly a year now. It gets repetitive and predictable after a while, so I’ve been aching to explore beyond what my current position is in-game. A change of scenery with new responsibilities for me to take on. I would like to gain experience both IC and OOC when dealing with a shop. From restocking to serving a customer a beverage, having that knowledge will benefit me in roleplay scenarios and grant me skills that are useful in the future; such as management and communication.
Another reason is that the design/purpose of the store fits into my character’s backstory. Instead of having the café simply to be a ‘side’ profession/alternative, the pursuit of its theme resides closely with what the character has dreamed of, this job is the end goal to her success. As I have made it a passion of hers, my motivation will be consistent as well as my activity. I have a lot that I wish to do if I were to get the store, and adding my inspiration & will-power to that will hopefully make my shop into something successful and meaningful. I do not want this to merely be for my own benefit, but more-or-less hers. Over the past year, I have grown to love the character I have created, developing her to be complex enough to have ambitions.
Momose Umeda Hamilton had always been interested in the pursuit of setting up her own business to serve the people of her hometown in any shape or form. From a young girl, she saw the poverty & crime that lay deep within Karakura; a ticking time bomb of destruction, merely to cause chaos . Though riddled with anxiety and dread that maybe one day she too would turn out like them, Momose turned her back on fate. At only eighteen years of age, she moved across the globe to Lyon, France.
Culture shock arose, making her feel overwhelmed at first. 90s Japan was drastically different from France. Though, one thing would always stay the same - books. Momose found refuge within cafés reading a book, and in the end, decided to get a job working in a particular coffee shop she enjoyed the most. This job bought her the first apartment, but also allowed her to continue to study within Lyon and finish her degree in Creative Writing.
When Momose came back many years later to Karakura with her now-husband Mycroft Hamilton, getting the job as Library-Manager was a goal. However, it was not the final dream. For Momose, it was to own a café of her own, integrating her love of books and pastries into a career.

WHAT DO YOU PLAN TO DO WITH THE SHOP?:
Once I get to own shop, I will compile all of my ideas together to successfully fabricate my vision. As a first, changing the name from ‘Cherry Street’ to ‘Koribureku’; coffee break. The name goes with my character’s ethnicity (Japanese) but also the town of Karakura. It keeps the tradition alive, inspired by traditional Japanese Kissatens brewed with coffee and relaxation. Instead of this being a restaurant, Koribureku will cater to those who want a splash of a coffee shop, with pastries and baked goods to satisfy their taste buds. It’s communal, a place for a get-together. As the name insists, it’s a break.
I am hoping to change the interior of the store also. I would like it to be open-planned, with lots of natural lighting during the day. The colours, I have chosen, will be in simple, more ‘natural’ tones, such as browns and creams. I’d like to adopt a more classical, elegant class to some aspects, though still fit within the purpose of having a communal space for students to study and socialise, but also businessmen during the day to come on their breaks. Renewal, half an hour in paradise. To resemble this, I would like the accents of plants too.
A Discord has been made prior to being accepted, just in-case. This will be an organisation space for myself in terms of employee management, logs, and menus. The Discord will also provide the customers with some insight into announcements, events that may participate in the future, and numbers for the take-out. However, most things that I will be doing are answered in the question below, as they are unique.
HOW WILL YOUR SHOP BE UNIQUE?:
Bakery/Café
Personally, I have always loved the idea of having a café concept warped with a bakery. Both things compliment each other well - coffee and pastries - so my genius idea was to put them together. Whilst you may be wondering, why does this make your shop unique? Well, the idea of a bakery from my knowledge has not been introduced yet on SchoolRP. A café caters coffee, a bakery brings the food. Because the idea of a bakery has not been implemented yet, I am willing to buy my own custom models to suffice the customers’ demand. Of course, I will also be using items already implemented in-game, with an idea already of what to put on my restock list. Each price for food items will not surpass ¥15,000. This will be inspired by French cafés, though Japanese treats will also be an option later.
Cinnamon bun
↳ Handcrafted in Koribureku’s kitchens, the cinnamon bun is worth drooling over. From its drizzled, glazed white icing to its sweet-and-savoury flavour, this treat is definitely one to taste.

Providing Take-Out
Unlike other restaurants in Karakura, I would like to provide an IC take-away system which allows us to deliver food up to people’s doorsteps. As things such as Deliveroo, JustEat and UberEats are popular, why not bring it IC? It allows people to get food from a few sentences over the phone via an employee’s number with efficient needs. The workers that are in charge of this portion will be referred to as ‘runners’ - Their name being quite explanatory, as they ‘run’ to provide customers elsewhere.
Not everything on the regular in-store menu will be available to take-out, though the option is there for those who do not wish to exit their homes.
Immersion
Koribureku will be immersive, meaning that our staff will be happy to interact with customers. This way, everyone is fully engaged with the roleplay experience. I know that most waiters in ‘restaurant’ type stores on the server are rather cold, which does not fit the environment rather well. Instead, my goal is to reach optimum comfort.
For this, I will hire those who are good roleplayers. If someone were to order some cake, for example, the waiting staff member would begin to detail cutting a slice off of the cake and serving the plate. Most of these /me’s would be copied beforehand to save time however, it makes the roleplay more effective. The same goes for if someone were to order tea. The waiting staff member would bring a tray of cups and a teapot to the table, pouring it in front of their own eyes. They then would go on to ask questions such as: “Is this enough, sir/ma'am?” or “Would you like more sugar in your tea?”. I believe this is the most important point when it comes to how unique my store will be, as many forget the essence of the roleplay, and instead focus on getting the job done.
HOW MANY EMPLOYEES ARE YOU PLANNING TO HAVE?:
Before I begin, employees will get a 60% cut of the sales in order for them to earn some profit from working. As I wish for them to be immersive, this will mean that pay should match up to their efforts. Any extra will be from tips. That leaves 40% for restock/other use.
One Shop-Owner
Self-explanatory, really. This will go to me, as I am the one who owns the store. I may work myself doing some waitering jobs, but overall my job is to oversee the shop and provide restock.
Two Floor-Managers
Instead of myself always being in-charge of overseeing, these two floor managers will alternate taking charge of the waiters’ welfare during a shift to regulate what may happen on that particular shift. They will also work, like the waiters. These roles will only go to people who are well-trusted, as they will have more power within the facility. The people who will get these roles will be over the age of eighteen - those with an Adult role as the job demands maturity.
Eight Waiters
These numbers will vary due to demand. The waiters will serve customers at the counter and serve their drinks/food to their tables. Depending on the shift, this staff will be split up into ‘runners’ (those who take the take-away options) and ‘floor staff’.
I already have an application process in-mind for this role, by which will be efficient.
Tailored by Momose herself, these uniforms are made for comfort and practicality when working. They have their own apron.
EXTRA INFORMATION
My current roles are:
↳ Library-Manager on flizzier (Main)
↳ Swim-Captain on SupportTicket (Alt)
Bare in mind that I will be quitting my employee job if this is accepted, mainly due to the reason listed in ‘Why do you want to own a shop?’.
My discord is flizzier#3089 if you wish to contact me if you have any further inquiries.
