I think it's a pretty good idea it'd definitely make the sentences and City aspect of SRP more realistic, however I can see how that would be a sensitive topic for some people OR kids. Executions are quite a controversial thing, I myself IRL am not supporting the idea of them unless it's a really major case. But if done right I believe it could work quite well.

yes... then why did they say that it would be like that for kids? i used to induce lots of gore whenever i killed people (well, not a whole lot since it's against rules, but still a bit) and now they're saying that THAT would be bad for kids??? like wymmmmmm
I mean not everyone can stand detailed gore whether or not they’re a kid. I think execution would be a simple electric chair with a simple /me or /it but if they’re going to be detailed then that’s where the person is drawing the line. I’m only guessing though

While I'd love to say +1 for the fact that Japan DOES indeed do capital punishment, not only am I personally unsupportive of capital punishment, It can be a very political/controversial topic. Things like that shouldn't be brought into SRP unless it's very necessary, I believe the current punishments work just fine.

I have a character who was arrested in 2017 who went by Spectator who recieved a 12 year sentence. (12 IC years) due to the insane amount of crimes he had placed upon him. I am now able to play the character after waiting the timer out. (It was either 4 ooc years or 9 million to have him released on bail), only having a few months left until I am able to bring him back, as his jail sentence is close to running out.

I think serious crimes should be something like this rather then a death penalty, not because I think the death penalty is bad, just because I think it gives people greater chances to enrich their characters.

Whilst I am pro-execution IRL, I don't think it really fits the tone of SRP, that is unless it was to be an execution for a major server event.

Just because something exists doesn’t mean it should be implemented in game. The topic of a death sentence can be iffy and sensitive subject for certain individuals. Would it make RP more realistic? Perhaps however not everything in the real world should be implemented, as at the end of the day it is a game that kids play after all.
Yes, there is killing and murdering happening in a daily basis in Karakura. Up to an extent where it’s not even realistic to Japan. However people long and wish for GangRP, so adding EVEN MORE opportunities to kill off or have ur character end up dead is not that appealing in my eyes. Besides this, it just puts a dead end to character development as there’s no way out once you get this ‘death sentence’.
I understand it happens in Japan, however this doesn’t mean it needs to be implemented as it is a heavily debatable topic that doesn’t need to be brought up into a game and could cause an uproar in disagreement and unhappy players.
Sentencing a criminal for multiple years is enough. Some even get sentenced for a couple OOC years, and it’s up to the player if they want to continue their character development years later, depending on the importance of that character to them.
Overall, I just don’t see a point in implementing more ways of death and murder in Karakura as it gets unrealistic enough already for the amount of deaths and killings happening daily. Why add onto that death count….

Personally, I'm sitting on the fence for and against this feature's development. I would suggest a fade to black once a character is executed, as it can be quite triggering and upsetting to actually type out actions for doing such a thing and for the surrounding people.

The Government & Police faction will be working on guidelines that require execution to be court-ordered, meaning the police can no longer execute inmates without a judge/lawyer
