i agree there should be more money opportunities to achieve aside from jobs u have to manually apply for and such. working as an employee for an official shop in srp has degraded and u dont really earn that much as it did before but it still raises your wallet, better than nothing. no guarantee that you'd get accepted either, considering how plenty of them get swarmed with MANY applications, and for beginners on the server, it may be challenging for acceptance. its not "just" apply. everyone takes their chances to apply to a player ran shop because theres little to nothing else besides that, which is what makes it tougher. although shops dont open super often, or im just not online that much. anyhow, think about a daily or weekly reward you get by completing something.
like, reaching a certain amount of blocks walked/ran. this however, may or may not prevent plenty people just standing afk despite actually being there, and the space around the map, would get more active, chances of running into an RP situation, would raise and so on. employees, have for example quotas to reach for a pay. i barely see anyone running around the map, plaza is mostly dominated, others hang in households and whatnot, business district is lowkey dead, library barely used, bowling alley is gone, shopping district has been completely changed, yet only "active" if a shop opens. but itd be kinda silly seeing people just running and walking back and forth.. you have to initiate the RP yourself, and those solely just running, may ignore you.
i dunno, maybe goals for reaching a certain building. library should be used more, for example, RP studying or "RP" doing your homework there alone or not. yea may be boring, but its just the starting point of an idea, obviously it can be something completely different. money reward or not, they should implement nonforceful (optional) tasks each week or day, even if it's just visiting the library, there are genuine books there to read, yet not populated at all.
money reward can be as low as 500-1,000 daily for one, or 5k weekly. i think it being weekly will just be forgotten+boring though, buuuut maybe some people dont have the time to throw away every single day. this is also a great substitute for the previous daily reward you could claim for doing literally nothing other than logging on. the money raised each day you'd log on, claim, reset once you reach day 7 i think, but it was removed at some point, which idk why but could be due to bugs. not sure if it'd ever make it's comeback.
between the hyphens i just talk about timezone issues with events n shops opening that interfere, you can skip this if u cant be bothered to read it

when a shop opens, depending on the shop of course.. players run their way there, its essentially swarmed and may become an active zone. i get events arent easy to create, they need planning etc. i have no insight on the event team whatsoever. another issue is time zone too, seeing as the server is america time dominated, shops or events are placed at a time where the player count is at it's peak. mostly during fridays to sunday, 3PM EST or later - which is late night (9PM or later) for europe fellas.
whether or not you were to open, work as cashier or spend ur money at the place, it may be a sufficient issue for other players in the eu, africa, asia, oceania time zone. it may be well past night for some people when such things occur, and they unfortunately cant attend unless they sacrifice some sleep yada yada. all is optional however. i suppose some people already sacrifice their time and sleep to go to a certain shop/event everyday, idk. but its kind of a drag to do allat for the ones 8+ hours ahead of america. auction comes in clutch there, but its not its best, all different items, you cant even inspect or see what the item looks like properly.
the indifferent time zones are quite unfortunate, because the player count highkey dies, so there's not much to do. it varies of course, and not much you can do about it.

regardless, i very much agree. say you have a goal, you want to rent an apartment, house, get a proper vehicle other than a rusty bike, (which has certain upgrades... they're decent but, not worth due to how vehicles can bug n rare usage. i had ts happen to me, fully upgraded vehicle disappeared into some brick n returned as a normal vehicle without any upgrades that come to a sum of 1M spent on just upgrades. couldnt get that back which is ridiculous.) items, skin, whatever. vehicles are 500,000 and up, which i know gets tough for fresh players especially. i dont think everybody wants to fish, its time consuming, havent tried myself, but that to be the one of the "only" and first money option to start off with is not the best... considering how srp has lived for so long, id imagine there'd be more opportunities. other than the demanding job applications that are 30/70 chance of acceptance, due to bias. < only certain positions as far as i know.
idk how difficult, easy or confusing it is for beginners to get started from 0 but i can imagine that it should be better than as it is right now. this is just very tricky, as u cant "just" get a job asap. you do get an introduction, 20k(?), shows you varies of the map to explore, GPS, but you go without an insight nor goal. srp, is something you have to play to understand, its hard to jump into completely new. im not sure abt these ideas, but it could get played around with. thatd be more intriguing, plus you'd essentially have more time to burn to grade up and actually do something rather than stand around or grind attributes < which also errands can come into play. attributes arent supposed to be grindy, thats why they're so time consuming when you try to grind them. but with actual activity to do besides classes, should be essential. more scenarios are created that way anyways. im not the best at explaining but, yeah. the space around the map isn't used enough either, imo.
unlike well.... when december comes around, theres exactly 25 gifts scattered across the entire map you can find and receive money for each gift, be the first to get all, you get an exclusive item. that is currently, the only one i can think of that is similar to what im trying to say. im unsure if easter is treated the same, but yeah. that is only once a year.
furthermore, this can get repetitive and the errands you run would not be infinite... but the suggestion here is dreadful. the block goal is silly, but it is something. i can think of one more thing which is the homework you get assigned when you have gone through a class, which can get a reward (even if its as low as 500) assigned to it aswell = players may join classes more often. i know people join, then /spawn just to get homework n graduation points whatever its called.. so maybe not. but other tags would miss out and get nothing, aside from those with a job title. therefore they would feel left out and treated unfairly. as said, these are only starting points, just an idea, there's always a better way around this but more opportunities other than mugging, reselling, fishing are necessary in my honest opinion. skins arent for everyone either, so thats out of the question.
with all that being said.... and my explanation skills at rock bottom, quests and the daily job you suggest may be hard to implement, and may take a long time. but bringing the daily reward claim isn't too bad either, tho it would not solve the issue with what you mean by communication. it also doesnt pour into much activity. log on, claim daily money, afk or do ur thing. you could say it'd feel like a daily chore.. money is great but afterall it's kinda just boring clicking your left mouse button twice. well, i also think nobody would mind it. this is just rough and needs brainstorming if you wish to raise actual RP activity daily. RP is something you have to initiate, join a club, team, spot people and interact. simplest of them all, most fair while maybe not much, is the daily reward claim.
please take everything ive said with a grain of salt.
