APPLICATION INFORMATION

What position are you applying for?:

I am applying for the position of judge!

What is your motivation for applying?:

My motivation for applying is quite simple, really! I have been here for years - three, as of last month - and would like to have more experience within factions I haven’t already been in! And, with that in mind, the government catches my eye because of the fact that it also includes an interest of mine OOC. I’ve been intrigued by politics, both in person and fictional, for a while now. Karakura’s, on that note? Absolutely something I would adore being a part of, even if I’m just an individual amongst many others. There’s a lot that goes on within and around the faction (because, let’s be real, most city-wide major events somewhat include the government to a degree), which gives me something else to look forward to when it comes to the faction overall.

Do you have an understanding of Karakura’s laws & Constitutional rights?:

I have a thorough understanding of this topic and can refer to it when need be.

What are your goals for being in Government Faction?:

My goals for being in the government faction include, but are not limited to, ensuring that I can have more roleplay experience in factions beyond both school faculty and my prior position as a psychiatrist within EMS (not to mention the years I have spent involved in varying criminal organizations)! I would also enjoy being able to make more connections on the server - more than I have already - since I do adore being able to casually hold up a conversation with someone, even if they aren’t too familiar to me. In other words, my goals are mostly socially inclined. No shame in that, though! Not to mention the fact that I would enjoy learning more about the position I am applying for, more-so on hand experience, however.

In your own words, describe the different roles of the Government Faction:
MayorThe role of mayor is quite the position - one that focuses on ensuring every role below them remains in check. There is the fact that they need to worry about the city's overall administration and also worry about matters involving it, alongside countless others. The mayor is the head and backbone of the faction, one that can't and will never be overlooked for many obvious reasons.
Deputy MayorThe deputy mayor, a rank below mayor, is intended to assist the aforementioned role with whatever's needed! They are there as a right-hand man to make sure that nothing falls apart and that things are running all the more smoothly. They also have to shoulder the burden of being yet another one of the main faces for the court they reside in.
Head of DepartmentThese are, in simpler terms, the secretaries of their respective positions! Their role is to make sure that those below them are aware of what they are doing and assist, when necessary. They also represent their individual departments and are the ones you'd go to if you required any assistance or cannot handle something yourself.
JudgeMuch like the others, a judge is no light work. This position resides over the court and oversees hearings when necessary. They are the ones that you will often find behind a podium during a court ruling or meeting, those that will decide how the rest works out. Although they, of course, cannot just handle that alone without any help from the rest.
GovernorThe position of governor is yet another that's no light task. They are responsible for their administration, although don't yet hold the full power that those higher may. The governor is also meant to oversee the budget of the city, as well as command the military when necessary. They are no less important than the rest of those they work alongside.
LawyerLawyers are another who work alongside the judges, these individuals are needed for their respective clients. They can either defend or persecute against these individuals depending on what they are assigned for their respective rulings/meetings. No court would be complete without a lawyer or two present.

Do you acknowledge that upon being accepted you can be subject to removal at any given time?:

I acknowledge that, upon my acceptance, I can be subject to removal whenever it is deemed fit by those in a higher position than myself.

Have you read & agreed to follow the Government Faction rules?:

I have read and agreed to follow the respective faction’s rules!

IN CHARACTER SECTION

This will be formatted like an interview, save only a couple questions. You will know which these are by how they are worded.

Full name:

Settling himself into the seat offered to him, Stark would rest his cane to the side - placing it against the desk. He took but a moment to process what had been asked of him, before issuing a response. “Volya Mikhailovich Đoàn-Stark. It’s good to meet you.” Simple, but to the point. Maybe that’s for the best.

Preferred title (Mr., Mrs., etc.):

Mr. Stark works fine as is, or, if you wish to be a tad more formal, Mr. Đoàn-Stark. Whichever is fine.” He offered a nod, as if confirming this statement.

Current age:

Stark shifted himself where he sat but only kept silent for a few moments. “Contrary to popular belief, I am twenty-six years old.” Was he serious? This man looked well into his fifties at best. Surely, he jested.

Date of birth:

Your doubt was diminished when the man passed you his legal information - a document that had everything down to the last detail. Including the neat “21/01/1999” stamped near his nationality.

Academic Background:

A hum escaped him as he recalled this information. “Whilst in the local community college for my bachelor year, I pursued a major in political science alongside a minor in criminal justice. I would then go on to attend the University of Tokyo and continue my studies there until my graduation at twenty-three.” The way the man said this so casually was almost jarring. That university, of course, was no easy place to take a seat in. Something spoke louder than Stark himself would of his own intelligence.

Work experience:

A law firm within Tokyo took me for the year following my graduation, prior to my return to this island. It may not have been far too long, of course, but it taught me the necessities of what I needed to have for a later date. Not to mention the experience given during this period of time.”

Nationality & born location:

Ah, right! That was what else was on the card. His nationality simply stated “JAPANESE” in that format. Once inquired about the latter, Volya would provide an answer. “Suzdal, Russia.”

Criminal record:

After this was checked, it was clear that his record was clean of any wrong doings. Compared to most of his family, this seemed impossible. But that’s only if you truly knew the Starks.

What makes you a good candidate for this job?:

Upon the question being asked, Stark would simply lean himself forward ever so slightly - his arms resting across his lap as he did so. A clear barrier between himself and your desk, it seems. “If you ask those who I am familiar with, you’ll notice one thing that stays consistent; my ability to get things done when needed, or even prior to the expected date. I do not plan on falling behind my coworkers, much less proving myself more of a burden than one who’s more than a reliable resource to this position. Not to mention the city at large. It is within my best interest to provide the civilians of such a place the justice they desire.” Confident, was he not? A little too much, but you can’t complain. Can you?
