Increase Shrine Faction Pay

What's your suggestion?:
I reckon this will probably be denied as this isn't our first time asking for it to be asked for, but I and everybody in the shrine faction believe that we should get a pay increase.

Right now, we make 100,000 per month for 10 logs per month. Our quota system is pretty much identical to caretakers, tutors, chefs, and nurses as it demands the same amount of time. They all make 200,000 - 300,000 per month. I understand that the teacher factions make more as SchoolRP wants to push the school. However, I still think the difference in pay is unfair. Right now, you make more money from the allowance than you do from being a part of the shrine faction. We have slightly increased the pay ourselves, however it is coming from mine and my faction lead's pockets which is unfair on us.

I believe the shrine monthly pay should be increased from ¥100,000 yen to ¥200,000 yen. This would allow players only in Shrine to actually be able to afford the things sold in the server (shops, apartments, etc).

Coming from the heart a bit, the shrine faction feels rather neglected by SRP. For more details on that, PLEASE dm me @Urrufu, this is a suggestion not a rant box - however, the people in this faction work incredibly hard to create a space that is fun for everyone. I would argue that this faction is one of the harder ones to be in, especially due to the isolation being in it brings, and yet the reward given is as bottom-of-the-barrel as it could possibly be.

TLDR for those in a rush: Increase shrine faction pay from ¥100k to ¥200k because it is deeply unfair against us to be paid naff whilst caretakers who do the exact same thing, but actually less than us, just in a different location get paid more than double.

How will this benefit the server and community?:
This would improve motivation both to join and stay in shrine, as well as make the hard work of the shrine staff feel rewarded. The current pay is not enough to be sustainable in SRP's current economy, this would make it more playable for shrine staff.

+1, with shrine quota being changed to 10 daily logs minimum and 15 daily logs maximum, I think it is only fair that the pay is a little bit higher (especially for max quota requiring someone to log on for an hour a day for half a month). I also just believe this would put shrine closer to the other factions pay, cause in this economy 100k might get you 2 items… ;-;

After considering some of the things Shrine members go through and how imbalanced their faction looks when compared to the rest. I do feel like THE MINIMUM SRP shall do to compensate is give you guys a raise. I feel it is totally unacceptable that you and the lead are forced to spend your own money to cover the imbalance. No one should be held responsible for these things, and the fact that you guys are doing this makes me feel there is a degree of unfair treatment that needs to be addressed ASAP.

Based on what I've gathered from the Shrine faction as well, as a suggestion, you could consider permitting Shrine workers to edit their rooms + a possible expansion to their dorms. As far as I know, the property is quite literally the whole mountain, so if you guys could aim in that direction, I feel like the hit to the salary would be reduced.

In the case of comparing it to other factions, without trying to find loopholes or biased opinions, everyone with common sense would agree that Shrine, in particular, is one of the hardest-working and least represented factions in this server. I have my bias toward the government faction, as I always do, but I cannot ignore the feeling of neglect toward this faction in particular. I personally love it because you guys were the ONLY faction able to 'fix' my character when he felt lost.

On a side note.... Either we lower the paycheck for EVERYONE, or see who the hell is paying ridiculous amounts of money for stuff that should be x10 cheaper. Some people are contributing to breaking the server's economy, and we can already see the consequences not only ICly but also in the RECENT suggestions. Literally ALMOST EVERY SINGLE SUGGESTION last month was related to how unbalanced the economy is.......

+1 - I want to state before I provide my reasoning that I am inherently biased and would benefit from this suggestion because I am in shrine. However, given my knowledge regarding how the faction has molded over the years (being I was previously in shrine from August 2022-May 2024 and was as of Novemeber 2025 reaccepted into the faction), some insight might further explain the reasoning above.

The shrine, in the beginnings of the faction, was a very relaxed, non-quota intensive faction. It was mostly about lore, and quota was as simple as RPing for an hour and getting a minimum of 5 logs per month. This was the expectation for most of the time I was in shrine the first time around, and the faction as a whole was far less integrated into the server. While shrine has gained notable presence in the playerbase since then, it is still overall neglected in a handful of areas. To combat this (of course this is my assumption, I can't speak for our lead), a lot of implementations and offerings for rituals were developed. To my pleasant surprise upon being accepted in 2025 once more.

Shrine is far more involved than it was in previous years, but the pay has not changed since its founding. At current, we're looking at extending the minimum as Otaku noted above (from 5 to 10). Each log requires three different tasks be done (interaction with a player, and several detailrp actions). Furthermore, most shrine workers do far more than the minimum for the log (going upwards of six).

With all this being said, and as someone who has been around for a majority of the major changes, I would like it to be understood shrine has changed to become far more involved and intensive than in years past. Thank you for reading <3

honestly If you where to increase the pay for the Shrine faction, it would see a lot more people applying. Plus it's also a good way to encourage people to immerse themselves to the Shrine's lore. So it's a win win on both ends.

Knowing the mess I alone can cause for Koi is reason enough to up the pay. As well, with many services they offer being FREE!! And very fun (I loved the Jichinsai performed for my property) i think its only fair. As well, while it isn't the main suggestion I agreed with what you're saying about it being demotivating if the faction as a whole isn't acknowledged much, I'd love to see more events involving Shrine!! albeit I haven't particularly searched for them so it's possible I've missed them!

TLDR: The shrine offers a ton of roleplay potential for people and members from personal experience put in so much effort, give them a pay boost!

Puhlease, show the shrine some love and increase their pay. Arguably one of the more involved factions on the server, actively requiring player interaction to reach their quotas and often requiring detailed actions as part of their quota and pay system (I believe it is 'hospitality') whereas it is very realistically possible for employees to log on at low hours and farm their quota with considerably less effort and earn double if not triple the amount for what I personally see as infinitely less work, though that perception DOES change based on the employee position, but I digress.

The notion of the shrine faction being neglected is one that is shared by people outside of the shrine as well, or at least shared by myself. I've watched events get posted and lauded as the 'first of its kind' whilst the shrine has already performed such events in the past, not to mention the utter lack of events involving the shrine, which I do not know the reasoning for, whether it be internal or external. While active practitioners of Shinto range around 3% of the Japanese population, 70 to 80 percent of the Japanese population participate in Shinto celebrations and this is not reflected by any means with the Shrine on SRP. While yes, this is up to player engagement, the fact of the matter is they simply aren't even provided the option.

Regardless of the reasoning for their pay being so low, enjoyability within the faction should be something that is prioritised and feeling as if your efforts are being rewarded, acknowledged, and seen with adequate pay helps stave off burnout and promote activity within the faction.

If anything, put the shrine faction pay on par with employee faction, any increase is a welcome one, but they deserve more than is being asked for, in my eyes.
