Hello there Karakura! Today I’ve brought you some saddening news, following recent events, political figure, yakuza, and entrepreneur Mike Akihito has passed in a series of gunshots, explosions, and fire. It is unknown how the family has chosen to respond to their loss, but it seems clear to me that not much of the public actually know this information… hence why I’m writing this report. Let’s get down to the nitty-gritty, what exactly happened here?
Well, from the sources I’ve reached, the weird occurrences started with an unmarked helicopter flying across Karakura’s ocean. Quickly finding itself wrecked on the shore, a cannonball laid not far from the scene. Could it be that someone actually shot down a helicopter with a cannon? Well, it can’t really be said for sure… But there are no direct links to this and the powerplant explosion, it’s just peculiar that they happened within a 20-minute timeframe of each other. It leaves room to speculate, was it Mike Akihito’s Akihito Clan that shot this helicopter down? Potentially their opposing side? It may not be related at all. If you have any information regarding the helicopter, make sure to contact Karakura’s local police force to start an investigation.
Following the events of the helicopter, a large amount of yakuza, mostly likely belonging to the highly-successful and revered organization known as the Yamaguchi-gumi blocked off the powerplant. Subsequent to the ruckus the Yamaguchi-gumi caused, Karakura’s very own significant yakuza organization the Akihito Clan showed up to put a stop to it once and for all. This time though, they were not as peaceful as their reputation predates, staring down the Yamaguchi-gumi who was now brandishing weaponry, some of them revealed weapons of their own, blocking off the entrance with a wall of cars. Citizens tried to push and shove their way in, but none of it worked, it only made the powerplant harder to enter by collapsing the entrance and dropping a pile of rubble over the cars.
A fight ensued after the shouting of threats, yakuza organizations have gang wars all the time, but not like this one. After much punching and kicking, the police found their way into the powerplant, ordering everyone to drop their weaponry and lower themselves to the ground… Everyone but Mike Akihito complied with this order. He stood up to the commissioner, having what seemed like a breakdown. Could it be that there is more to the story than we know? Why did he risk his entire clan, everything he’s built for this city on a public gang conflict? Well, we may never know, following the conflict between the officers and Mike Akihito, Mike ran into a nearby building. After investigating the scene, it can be assumed that this building contained many lethal explosives. While I couldn’t find exactly what went down here, it can be assumed that he used this as leverage, a way to threaten the officers and get them off his back. . . And if that is the truth, he wasn’t playing around, the building eventually exploded and collapsed with him and an officer inside.
Mike Akihito was later announced dead at the Karakura Hospital, the majority of the war participants were arrested under a charge of Gang Affiliation, and there has been seemingly no protest. There are of course some questions. Who will take the mantle of the Akihito Clan’s Patriarch next? How will they choose to publicly respond to the actions of Mike Akihito? Will they even continue to operate in Karakura? Who knows. If you have any information that you’d like to contribute, you can call the reporter hotline below.
