Why are Teachers so important to SchoolRP?:
They are a vital part of SchoolRP , as they allow the server to have the functionality of " School Roleplay " . They connect with students, teach real lessons and make roleplays fun. Teachers create a more authentic learning environment and give students the chance to participate in fun, meaningful and engaging group roleplaying activities.
Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you may lose your role?: Yes
Do you agree to undergo teacher training if your application is successful?: Yes
What is your motivation for becoming a Teacher?: I chose to be a teacher on SchoolRP because I have a passion for history and I find joy in sharing knowledge with others. I have always had an interest in history and all that we can learn from the past, events, cultures and people. I want to integrate that interest into my roleplay by teaching fun and educational lessons for students.
Another reason why I want to be a teacher is I want to participate in teacher roleplay. I think being a teacher would allow me to have more interaction with students, to create realistic classroom scenarios, to be involved in the school climate. I love to create lessons, answer students questions and make classes fun to attend.
I also would like to be able to run classes at GMT friendly times. Many classes are held late at night, which can be a problem for European players who want to participate regularly. I hope to run classes at more suitable times to create more opportunities for students in European timezones to do teacher roleplay.

What is your character's age?: He is 18 years old.

Describe your character:
Matthias Earl Holloway is a tall, muscular man with a thick beard and dark hair. Despite his rough exterior from his prior employment as a lumberjack, he is an extremely compassionate and empathetic individual.
In general, Matthias is a kind, laid-back individual who likes to assist others and get along with others. When someone needs assistance or has an issue, he is patient and ready to listen. He doesn't, however, let others walk all over him. Matthias doesn't hesitate to intervene and deal with impolite or misbehaving individuals.
He likes learning about the past and wants to tell people all that he learns. He has loved learning about history since forever now and that is the one reason why he likes this job that he would like to do. He hopes to sometime, create classes with kids where students have fun and learn in the process.
Overall, Matthias simply hopes to make life around him better for everyone.
He wants to have students enjoy their time in schools, gives kids bright future and his class something that every student would want to come and attend and attend again.
Roleplay Scenarios
A student in class is struggling to understand the content, what would your character do?:
If a student wasn’t really understanding the material, Matthias is patient and would stop and simplify or restate the point in different ways. He is always willing to try and simplify down a point or explain it using an example that may or may not fall more readily on the ears of an individual. He would encourage students to speak and ask questions, never shame-faced.
Matthias recognizes that everyone learns at a different rate. The one thing that is consistent is that students would be given a chance to understand the concept they were talking about during class, that nothing moved to quick that a student couldn’t keep up.
A student is continuously being disruptive in class, talking out of turn, and making jokes with classmates. What would your character do?:
Should the student be an ongoing distraction, answering inappropriately, or laughing and joking with classmates then Matthias's initial approach would be a calm word to the child. Whilst he does recognize that the child can enjoy themselves and laugh, he knows it is not appropriate at this point during the class, hence why they should pay attention.
If the behavior continued again after being told, Matthias would respond in a harsher tone and reiterate that the student was distracting everyone and impeding the others learning. The student would be offered another chance to amend their behavior before anything further would be done. Matthias is a laid back character, but recognizes that to teach means establishing boundaries.
Provide at least 2 interactive class ideas related to your preferred subject:
1: Steam Engine Trial
The class will be asked to read and discuss how steam engines had impact in industry and in travel. I will present a hypothetical situation whereby they would have to use a steam engine, and detail what would have happened in the Industrial Revolution without steam engines.
2: Dinosaur fight
I would produce an incredible lesson on dinosaurs by allocating certain students certain dinosaurs for them to debate against each other to find out which one would win in a fight against the other ones, and students will have to have knowledge of different dinosaurs in which they were taught such as strength, size, speed and naturally possessed ability in which they should use it when debating why the dinosaur they were allocated will win the fight, which I think will be a vigorous, and educational lesson on prehistoric creatures.
