General description
Description: We, The K.U.E.R.T., are a group of urban explorers of karakura. We list information about the places we explore, groups we meet and stories of other citizens. We also offer help to explorers who are lost and guide them.
History
The beggining (27/12/2022-30/01/2023)
The KUERT starts with Daniel Minaya. He had always been interested in Urban exploration but never went too deep into that hobby.
One day Daniel Minaya was walking through the streers of Karakura. Then he run into an abandoned warehouse. He went inside and enjoyed very much exploring and finding the weird aspects of the place. He soon had the idea of documenting this place. Daniel Minaya calls this new project "KUERT". The purpose of it is to document the places of Karakura.
The first document published by KUERT was POI-001 and was posted on 27/12/202. The POI-001 is written on google documents and shared through his personal onrain. A few days later, he creates the Onrain KUERT account.
The descent (30/01/2023- 20/03/2023)
One of the defining advancemnts of KUERT during this time was the the first KUERT website, it was run on Google sites. The documents were now accessible through one centralised website, this significantly improved the experience of navigating through the data.
The other important events are first descents into sewers. It was in the sewage system where most of the lost and anomalous places could be found, however the underground was said to be dangerous and the explorations were very superficial to avoid dangers. After days of research and work, the descents was provent to be fruitful and the documents on POI-002 and POI-003 were published.
Daniel Minaya kept himself away from documenting on GOI's as the most plausible groups to documents were gangs. However documenting on gangs did not feel safe, this was the reason why the POI list is so long but GOI list didn't grow during half a year.
The first contacts (20/03/2023-30/5/2023)
Up until now KUERT had been an non-interacting group due to it's isolation policy. Essentially, this meant that KUERT avoided contacts with groups systematically. During mid of March, several groups showed interest in exploring the sewers and contacted KUERT with the proposal of exchanging information and even collaborating at explorations. Those interactions made Daniel reconsider the isolation policy. This lead to the removal of the isolation policy in (24/04/2023), and collaborations started.
Following this change, KUERT started the first recruitment in (26/03/2023). In the end the new ambition for a big team to work along failed and no team explorations were ever carried out.
The second website for KUERT is published in (09/04/2023). However the engine for the site was more private than google websites and it let KUERT have the privacy they needed for certain documents like WIP documents.
In the subject of exploration, Daniel Minaya starts having a high command on moving through sewers, not loosing the sense of direction and keeping and eye out on possible dangers. KUERT has explored by now the 75% of important locations of the sewers.
In Zaragoza (Spain), KUERT collaborators started the foundation of the ZUERT.
Internationalization and professionality (30/5/2023-1/9/2023)
This era starts with a significant decrease in content and document publishing.The reasons behind this is the ZUERT. In (22/06/2023) Daniel flies back to Spain for almost a month to oversee the new ZUERT project. A month later, Daniel is back at Karakura and content for KUERT resumes. New POI's such as POI-006 and POI-007 are published. Not only that but KUERT also starts the first descents to sewers to help lost people and explorers.
This period of time also came with more group interaction. KUERT meets new groups and contacts, allying themselves to gain further knowledge of the GOI world.
At this moment, KUERT has gained high amounts of professionality, they had explored almost every part of the sewers (90%), and began aiding explorers as a part of their job. The zenith of this professionality came the KUERT offical suit, made specifically to make the exploring experience easier. The only thing that KUERT lacked was people. Adding more agents was a hard task, because managing them required more responsability from the team. But KUERT needed agents to explore, to make theories and to rescue people. This resulted in a new recruitment and acceptance of those required responsabilities that came with it. To grant protection to their agents they added masks to the KUERT suit to protect agents identity, prepared communication systems, insurance...
The zenith and ending of an era (1/9/2023 - 30/10/2023)
After a long month of preparation and hardwork, Daniel Minaya was ready to handle having people under his care. Hence a small group of less than five people was formed throughout the first days of september. Of course this meant that the rules and operations systems for KUERT had to become tangible, this led to the creation and sistematization of rules and directives.
In the mid september the GOI list has it's long awaited debut with the GOI-002 and GOI-003.
During this period KUERT has experienced a process of neutrality to the underworld and KPD to ensure the protection of the new members of the team. This is known as the 'neutrality policy'.
In October of 2023. The Paranormal Entity Incident took place. In the face of such situation KUERT focused completly on resseraching those mysterious entities and stopped operating at sewers temporarly. Many discoveries about the paranormal were discovered but nothing to stop the rise on the anomalous activity. In the middle of the situation Daniel Minaya had to leave Karakura defenetly as his student exchange ended. Leaving the Paranormal investigation unfinished. A council member took the position of the main head of the KUERT and Daniel was reassigned to be the face and ambasser of KUERT and the lead of the ZUERT.
KUERT under Ms K1 management (4/12/2023 - 18/1/2024)
During a month, everything was silent. Only the new council member, Ms K1, came into the light during the first days of december. KUERT was now back on track.
At Spain, ZUERT, was renamed SUERT. To include the whole country instead of just a region.
The first meassures Ms K1 took, were to widen the number of agents and to start the rescue inciative. An iniciative to find and rescue lost people at the sewers. The idea was that Onrain users would DM the KUERT onrain account asking to rescue a certain inidividual. After giving essential data KUERT would inniciate a support operation focused on the extraction of the missing individual in the hopes of finding them. However this iniciative was a complete failiure as no requests were recieved.
The recent activity of KUERT attracted certain groups, who, sought to exchange intel or to collaborate in operations. These positive interactions led to the documents of GOI-004 and GOI-005.
KUERT was now a year old. However the happiness of achieving a year of work would not last for long.
The office vulnerability (18/1/2024- 2/2/2024)
The office was the computer that sustained the KUERT and SUERT communications system, websites and private documents. This computer was located at Spain, where the Admin took care of it. It was considered to have a good degree of cybersecurity. Key word "considered". During the coding of the website, the programers forgot to add protection against code injections in the search bar. This problem had gone unnoticed until it was too late.
The office was injected with certain code that forced a download in a dangerous website. This download was mainly a malware that encrypted the data of the victims and required a payment in order to recover said data, it also destroyed back ups in order to stop people from bypassing the virus. As mentioned before, the malware started to do it's work, however, thanks to the very sharp-eyed person who handled and controled the office, the virus was stopped at halfway of it's work.
Sadly, a big damaged had already been done. The communications systems were offline and completly dismantled and the documents were half encrypted. The office admin carried the computer to a computer repairing service and luckily they said there was a chance to recover most part of the data. KUERT and SUERT had already taken a big hit, the website was offline and they couldn't communicate anymore.
As a consequence, no more operations were carried out, as agents could not communicate anymore. The KUERT was forced to be temporarly disbanded and no one in the team could do anything to stop it. However some the hunger brings intelect to light, in this era of incommunication a new potential system flourished with the promise of helping communications through unsafe communications channel.
In the morning of (30/1/2024) the computer repairing service contacted the Admin claiming they had fixed it. However most of the work was yet to be completed. The Admin tried to restore all communications but the system was completly broken. The pages had to be manually re-formatted and the files where in locations they shouldn't be. After two days of hard work in (2/2/2024), the Admin had the front page of KUERT and SUERT online, but most of the documents are not uploaded in the present day. The communications are still being worked on but it will be a long process.
Hope (2/2/2024 - now)
KUERT has fallen to it's lowest. It has never been so damaged and vulnerable. Yet we are still around. We know what is to have the worst of our days and to be completly lost. That is why we help people in the sewers and rescue them if necessary. We don't know what is gonna happen but the situation defenetly does not look like it is worsening. I wonder what is awaiting us in the future.
Workers and group structure
The identity of the agents is generally a secret to keep them safe from the dangers of the underworld. The group structure is more public, however KUERT is currently under re-estructuration and so it doesn't have a defined worker hierarchy at the moment.
Services
KUERT offers a general set of services to anyone who visits their page or Onrain profile. The KUERT website services are based on giving information to the viewer about Urban exploration and Karakura itself. The onrain profile is more focused on providing support to people. Theses are the services that KUERT currently provides
- Information: KUERT offers a lot of information of value to explorers. Where are certain places located or what groups can help them. Most of this information is obtained at the KUERT site, however KUERT does answer questions at their onrain DMs.
- Rescue: Through onrain, an account can request KUERT to search for lost individuals. This initiative started in december, sadly this service has never been provided and it's efficiency is unknown.
Whenever KUERT starts an operation, this means go to places of interest for Urban explorators it is for three possible main reasons.
- Exploration Operation: These operations are about exploring new areas, finding faster ways of moving, training new teamates.
- Research: In these types of operations the group tries to find as much information about a topic. They examine POI's and investigate GOI's to make documents.
- Support: The support operations are about: approvisioning the sewers so that explorers can have food down there, helping lost people and guiding explorers.
Trivia
- KUERT was originally inspired by the M.E.G. and the SCP foundation. Both fictional, completly and undoubtedly non-existent in our world...
- SUERT work experience is very different to the KUERT. There are more POI's in rural areas and the sewers are not an easy place to explore. The groups are more friendly and there aren't as many gangs as in Karakura.
- During the (27/12/2023) the KUERT page became unusable because of it being covered in texts and gifs wishing KUERT a happy birthday. This will repeat every KUERT birthday.
