General description
Description: The POI-002 is a small jail, which is not in use anymore. The structure is built on gray stone bricks, and metal doors. One can see the structure is old because of the cracks and moss on the walls. There aren’t many light sources in the POI-002. Any exception to the description will be specified in the zone section.
Zones and structure.
The Catacombs jail is not a big complex, its size does not surpass an apartment's. However, for its reduced area, the catacomb's jail is filled with so many secrets.
The hall
The function of the hall is to connect the entrances, exits, management zone, cells and the burner. The hall is made of the already named stone bricks. The cells are at one side of the hall, at the opposite is a wood door that leads back in the sewers. The hall does connect to one more room, the management room. At the opposite side there is another exit leading to the sewers.

The cells
There are three cells. They go from 015 to 017. All cells have a few things in common. They are 3(x),5(z),3(y). The cells have a metal door with a lever located on the outside. The cell's materials pretty deteriorated. The only accommodation the inmate would have is a toilet and a broken water pipe underneath. One may use said pipe to escape from any cell. It is also worth mentioning that going through the hole covered by the poster on cell 017 will lead to POI-003.
| Cell-015 In Cell-015 there does not seem to be many things. Only the already mentioned wide water pipe, and the toilet.
|
|
| Cell-016 In Cell-016 there is a wide floor mat, which is speculated to have been used for sleeping purposes. There is also the standard furniture.
|
|
| Cell-017 This cell's walls are all covered in markings and scriptures. There is also a small worn out poster from an unknown model. Behind that poster one may find a tunnel leading to POI-003

The management room
| This room was mainly used to store guards' objects. Like handbooks with inmate information and storage equipment. Sadly none of these objects are found here. The management room is connected to the burner. This "burner" is a small instance made of steel and a pool of fused material. The door, which is made of metal, can only be opened from outside, in conclusion don’t enter the burner. ■ ■ ■ ■ |

Entrances and exits
Exiting the Catacombs jail is as easy as leaving. Here are the entrances which are worth mentioning.
- Entrance/Exit (1): There is a door in the hall which is located at the opposite wall to the cells. Going through this door used to get you to the sewers. However, now it leads to a dead end room that has a stream of water and whose walls are covered in vines. Going through the hole under the stream leads to a small closed channel that eventually opens up to a sewer passage. This entrance/exit is not recommended at all, due to the water quality and because of how complicated it can be to swim through such a small space.
- Entrance/Exit (2): Going the opposite way to the management room will lead to sewers. Going through here requires walking through sewage waters, which is not very ideal.
- Entrance/Exit (3): Diving into the wells connected to the toilet and swimming your way through the big pipes will get you to the sewers. Only attempt this if you have really good swimming skills and you have no other way to leave, because remember, sewage water is no joke.
- Entrance/Exit(4): In Cell-017, going through the hole behind the poster will lead to a long tunnel, which ends up in POI-003 (Masamaru station), to be specific, it leads to small hole under the railways underneath the platform.
Entities
There are a high number of non-human entities overall. You probably won't encounter any humans.
Non-human entities
Many vermin have this place as their home. Rats, ****roaches, spiders etc. They won’t hurt you so you will be fine. In the cell walls there is moho, don’t breathe its vapors as it can numb you. Algae is present in the cell and toilet so you shouldn’t drink its water unless it's your last resource.
Human entities
Encountering humans is extremely strange down here. Here are some of the people you can find here.
- Explorers: Just like any other traveler they probably won’t hurt you. You can ask them for resources and food, even to get you out of the place. If someone gets stuck in the cells, please let them free.
- KUERT members: We come down here to make sure no one has been trapped in the cells. If so, we will proceed to free them, provide them with resources and guide them out of the sewers.
- Criminals: Very unusual, but possible. Many criminals will come to do away with corpses, don't be around when that happens.
- Guards: They are not around anymore and the information we have about them is practically none. It’s unknown what they did in this structure but chances are that they have committed worse crimes than the notable gangs of karakura. Maybe they have left this place and hidden elsewhere to continue with their crimes, they could have even put aside the wicked manner of trapping people inside underground prisons.
Environmental threats
This place is significantly safe. There aren't any major environmental threats. The most dangerous thing that could happen is that you get trapped in a cell or the burner.
History
The place's history, like many others, is unknown. However, a few registered incidents have taken place in these Catacombs.
Theorised creation
It is scary to think of a place in the sewers dedicated to the imprisonment of people, even eerier when it comes to wondering how it came to exist in the first place. The place was likely operative for a long time and it has not been identified the date of its creation. We know the Karakura government was already interested in building a sewer system after the 1860's. So if we assume they were built after or along the sewers, the date of its creation is within the range of 1860's to 2000's. However we still are left with a wide margin, which is unsatisfactory.
The first mention of it's existence and the P-12:IN-01 (XX/03/2022)
The first mention of the place's existence happened in a newspaper regarding the Masamaru metro station. At some point the POI-002's existence is mentioned and the place itself is described. The report also explains the Paranormal incident, P-12:IN-01, in which the Paranormal P-12 (The Prisoner) hurts one individual of a group of kids who went down to do urban exploration.
Current day (XX/03/2022 - now)
Due to some changes in the basement of the houses located over the POI, during 2026. The E/E(1) changed. The door used to lead to other sewer passages, nowadays, it leads to a small channel underneath.
