General description
Blackbar.png
Found in the border of Karakura and the Itsboyoshi forest. The Itsboyoshi remnants are a cluster of structures. This POI is found in the Itsbyoshi trail, an small section of the big Itsbyoshi forest found at the East of Karakura.

The remnants seem to had been property of the feudal families which ruled Karakura in long past times. Not only do historic documents corroborate this but also it's classical structure, which has a traditional strutural style.

Zones and structure.
Blackbar.png
There Itsboyoshi remnants are a middle sized structure. It's zones are distributed vertically. It's most accessible area is found in the superior while as one goes deeper into the caves they become harder to explore.

The cabin
Graybar.png
Following the Itsboyoshi trail one can find the cabin. The cabin is an detered small structure, it only has one room. The walls are white and have traditional fenced windows. The floor is made of deteriorated and rotten spruce wood. The floor is has collapsed into an small cavity beneath the cabin and the ceiling is also completly gone. There are no ruins of the wall that should be facing the mountain, but a yin-yang symbol carved deep in the stone with a radius of 2 meters.

The foundations
Graybar.png
Going down into the cavity found underneath the cabin. One can find the foundations of the structure in the small hole. The section is purely mountain stone, especifically gray stone and dripstone, as there is a lot of water found in the close area. There are a few spikes at the bottom along the wood pilars that barely hold the structure up. One can also find an skull and some weird carvings. There is a hole in the side of the wall which leads to the entrance of a cave.

The entrance to the cavern
Graybar.png
This small section of the cavern is dark and requires a flashlight to navigate from now on. The most notable thing of the area is that the cave holds a natural pool of frigid water. Icicles are found all around the place and the air is cutting and cold. The stony walls are covered in crystals and various minerals. A tunnel can be easily spotted at the right of the entrance to this zone. The tunnel leads to the depths of the cave.

The depths of the cavern
Graybar.png
The walls of this part of the cave are stony gray and have some minerals and the air is eeriely cold, the temperature seems to be anomalously low. At this point the cavern becomes mostly vertical, this section of the cave has the stunning total height of 15 meters. Thanks to some stairs carved in the stone one can find their way down, however some of them are wet and might be slipery, enter at your own risk. At the bottom weird markings in the walls can be found along a hole that can be used to enter the cave.

Entrances and exits
Blackbar.png
There are a few entrances and exits.
  • Entrance/exit 1: One can leave the cabin very easily. If you are in the base you will have to do a bit of parkour to get to the cabin and leave.
  • Entrance 2: Entrance: An small tunnel can be found near the path that leads to POI-008. Going through this small tunnel will leave you in the bottom of the cave.

Entities
Blackbar.png
Finding entities here is weird but not impossible as this place is found on a remarkably touristic spot.

Non-human entities
Graybar.png
  • Animals: They normally stay away from the POI-008. Even though the forest is full of them.
  • Ghosts: They only appear at night time. They used to be more common during the October Incident, in the present, thier activity has decreased.

Human entities
Graybar.png
Encountering humans is very common. The Itsboyoshi trail is a touristical hotspot and as part of the trail, POI-008 is also a concurred place by many people.
  • Senderists: Citizens who want to do exercise like walking and climing, you will find them during the day.
  • KUERT members: You can ask us for help to leave this place.
  • Explorers: They are not harmful, you may ask them for food or help if you want so.

Environmental threats
Blackbar.png
This place is extremly dangerous given three factors for this categorization
  • Structure innestability: Some places are falling apart. The caves seem to be stable but the cabin might not be. If the cabin were to collapse
  • Blackout: There is no light in the cave system, traversing through here requieres lightsources. Carry some flashlights when entering here.
  • Internet access: There is not signal in the POI-008.
  • Flood dangers: During monsoons, the bottom of the cave may flood completly.

History
Blackbar.png
The creation of the Itsbyoshi remnants is still a piece of information yet to be discovered.

Trivia

Notable
These remnants from the past dictate the location of the Mechanic's first victim, Moriko Kudo, a senior psychiatrist (or former, per se) of Karakura Hospital. Very fun fact.
