General description
Kn1NJ4I.png

Description: POI-013
The mossy caves are a series of interconnected tunnels. With it's most visible feature being that they are covered in moss and vines. However there is more to this area. The tunnels are usually straight, directly leading to the Labyrinth entrance. The tunnels ay diverge sometimes, however they will lead to dead ends.

The tunnels are carved on the stone, which is mostly gray. However, cobble and dirt patches can be spotted on the walls.

As for what is in the caves, these galleries have plentiful of exposed ores, which have found to mainly be hematites and coal. As for the flora, the cave seems to have vines overgrowing in every possible spot, and because of the humidity, a variety of fungi species have made their home out of this POI.

Zones and structure.
Kn1NJ4I.png

The mossy caves structure is quite simple, it extends as a linear tunnel across great lenghts, however there are small zones and areas in which the properties of the gallery vary.

The southernmost section
p4QY74B.png

This area consists of the southernmost section of the cave. It is distinct due to it being carved on plain gray stone, the area has plentiful of ores, and its walls are covered on vines and small patches of moss. As one enters the southernmost section, they will notice how the underpass has constant slopes and the halls are narrow, however, after a few meters the explorer will find themselves inside a wider section of the cave, during which, transit will become more easy.

The cauldron room.
p4QY74B.png

The cauldron room is a small section found in the southernmost section where the cave takes a more spacious shape. Inside the cave one will spot a hanging empty cauldron, characteristic that gives the room its name. The small gallery has small yellow ores on its walls, the mineral from which they come from is unknown. Apart of that, the walls are covered in vines and small moss. Lastly all the place is covered in dried blood stains. The light in the room comes from a small fire underneath the cauldron.

To find the cauldron room, one must be in the southernmost section, near the entrance/exit [001] and look out for a trail of dried blood.

The middlemost section
p4QY74B.png

After passing by the wide hall, one will notice that the walls have some small stone bricks and that the halls, again, narrow. After a few turns, one will find themselves in front of the entrance/exit [002] which leads to the POI-014 (The Labyrinth). Passing by its entrance, one will reach a wall covered in vines. Climing up there leads to the Northenmost section of the Mossy caves.

The Northenmost section
p4QY74B.png

The Northenmost section is slightly different to the previous sections of the underpass. This section in particular shows more cobbled up walls, and the patches of moss are way more bigger, however, mineral ores can still be spotted on the walls. It is also very important to note that the area lacks any light source, meaning this section requires a flashlight or lantern. With all that in mind, exploring the Northenmost section may be more complicated because of the slopes, ups and downs, the tunnel has.

When entering the area from the middle most section, narrower halls are present, after some distance, the cave widens slightly until reaching the end of the Mossy caves

The Abyss
p4QY74B.png

At the end of the Northenmost sections, there is a hole, with four torches situated on each vertex of it. Next to the hole, one can find a sign with its text contents reading as The Abyss. On the opposite side, a skull lays on the ground.

There is a ladder that leads to the ground of the abyss, which is not larger than 5 meters in length. Going down the ladder leads to The Abyss, a pitch black area smaller than the average flat. There are no light sources near the abyss and even then, because of the ultra dark colour, light sources would not be useful in this place. The only way for an explorer to locate themselves in the area is to locate the ladder that leads down the Abyss, thankfully, it is quite easy.

Note: This pictures shows a KUERT agent inside the Abyss in order to give an idea of how dark it is inside compared to the exterior.

Entrances and exits
Kn1NJ4I.png

There are many entrances and exits. Here you will be provided with information on how to navigate to some exits or entrances.
  • Entrance/exit [001] : This entrance is found within the Black Channel. A crack in the dark brick wall exposes an entrance into the POI
  • Entrance/exit [002] : In the middlemost section of the cave, an entrance to POI-014 ( The Labyrinth ) can be entered.

Entities
Kn1NJ4I.png

It is unlikely to find many entities down here.

Non-human entities
p4QY74B.png

The vermin have overtaken this place. The most common are rats, spiders and others. None of them are harmful in any sense.

Human entities
p4QY74B.png

Encountering humans is very unlikely, however if you do they may be one of the following.
  • KUERT members: You can ask us for help exitting the caves.
  • Explorers: they are not harmful, you may ask them for food or help if you want so.
  • Criminals Self explanatory. Simply evade them.

Environmental threats
Kn1NJ4I.png

This area is quite problematic when it comes to exploration. It is reccomended to spend as little time as possible in this POI.
  • Blackout: There are no light sources in the POI but within the cauldron room, a section of the Southernmost section and the entrance to The Abyss. Make sure to bring your own flashlight.
  • No signal: There is no signal in most of the POI. You will have trouble calling for help should something happen.
  • Complex structure: The structure is hard to navigate because it requires going down narrow halls, not losing balance on steep slopes and facing possible dead ends.
History
Kn1NJ4I.png

The story of POI-013 is mostly unknown.
