How about we make a separate ping for the tryouts? its annoying when i get pinged in the academics discord cus i think there's an event, but it turns out its a tryouts ping. Make a reaction role, where you get the tryouts ping role.

How will this benefit the server and community?:
Less ping for people who are not interested in Tryouts.

I have suggested this before (as told above) and it has been denied. At this point mute the server or just get pinged because it doesn't even ping that often.

tryouts don't happen that often, it being the academics discord you should be expected to be pinged for things that are academic related

Honestly I only think that a role section should be made, one for tryouts, one for announcements and one for updates. Honestly having the notifications are needed if your in sports/council so I don't support less notifications but roles making it so you an limit it
