THE MECHANIC ⚙️ Conquête Territoriale, France 2013

A series of ruthless, and brutal fights and showdowns had broken out for the sake of a territorial conflict between the Marché Noir de Lyon and the criminal organization known as the Gladiateur Cauchemars. Regretfully, in this instance of the Lyon Black Market, a branch of the FBM itself, the G.C. organization collaborated with the law enforcement and the government to destroy the entirety of the French Black Market’s complete enterprise; viewing the Cauchemars as nothing less than vigilantes or anti heroes that worked alongside the government in a likely case scenario. However, the Cauchemars were the first to catch onto the Marché Noir de Lyon, one of the less experienced branches of the F.B.M. Working alongside the Cauchemars and the governmental power of the French State was the Villeneuve family, a family of Aristocrats that were shot down and targeted on more than one occasion by the French Black Market.

On the opposition, the French Black Market launched a series of assaults in order to bolster its Lyon operation. The Lapointe family, a family of patricians who opposed the Villeneuves directly, were included in these operations. They functioned as a clan, a group, a family, an organization, and as an expedition that hid their illicit activities by subtly aiding the government indirectly whilst disguising their illegal conducts under charitable foundations that served as money laundering operations. Because of the Lapointe Clan's involvement, which stretches back to the French Renaissance, the organization's legacy has been passed down to each and every generation, ensuring that the heritage of the family would not come to a subtle end.

ESCAPADE LYON ⚙ 2020

The French Black Market had grown weary of the Cauchemars' conduct after the first seven years of consistent warfare. This culminated in an important meeting between the inner circle of the French Black Market, the Lyon Black Market, and Marseille's branch, which was one of the most populous areas of the nation and had the most competent and experienced people to fight right back against both Cauchemars and the government as a whole. This integral meeting had the inclusion of the Lapointe family, alongside almost all of the Black Market’s associates within this plan.

All things must come to an end, though, and one of the black market associates was nothing more than a Gladiateur Cauchemars insider. Long after winning the trust, and faith of the Marseille Black Market, the location of this crucial meeting was compromised while being kept a secret from both the French Black Market and the Lapointe Family. Fortunately, the Cauchemars, who were recognised as a criminal organization involved in illegal activities, were unable to participate in part in the conference or help the authorities break it down and apprehend everyone present.

Adhering to the scheme provided by the Cauchemar insider, the government deployed the National Gendarmerie Intervention Group (GIGN) to completely close down the illegal conference and apprehend everyone in the area of that conference. Such a path led to a sewage system with a closed-off, restricted entry that connected to a completely other entrance. The plan that was shown showed how this entryway connected to a hallway. In light of this, the National Gendarmerie Intervention Group moved, concentrating the majority of their workforce in Lyon.

Considering how carefully thought out the French Black Market was, this hallway housed a stairway that led to an inadequate, abandoned warehouse that was the Lyon Black Market's hideout. Still, stable explosives that detonated at the touch of a button were concealed in this same location. Has this much preparation been done to prevent the Cauchemars or the GIGN from trying to disrupt the conference? No, this was done to suppress the Lyon Black Market or the Lapointe family in the event that disputes emerged inside this enormous criminal organization or if territorial opposition erupted among Lyon's Black Market.

There was a subtle murmur in the far distance, and then the convoy of armed vehicles arrived at the sewage hallway location. The insider had given them the go-ahead while claiming to text their family members. They stood in concealment while the meeting carried on, much as the National Gendarmerie Intervention Group had been in this same hallway. An inner circle that consisted of the Lyon and Marseille branches, the Associates, the Cauchemar Insider, and the inner roots of the French Black Market. They were all in one place, a chance that may be snatched at any time. The unidentified French Black Market Leaders, Lyon's Branch Leader, and Marseille's Branch, which operated democratically in relation to the other two, were among the most respected and feared people present at this conference. As for the inclusion of the Lapointe family was the entire family, but only three reputable individuals; Seraphine, Aropur, and Malgier who had only recently turned eighteen.

The inner circle of the French Black Market started rambling across the long table, followed by the enterprises of Lyon and Marseille, before the conference came to a silent stalemate. There was a fairly huge warehouse, a horrible silence, and suddenly there was an explosion that opened the warehouse's undisclosed entrance. Regretfully, the Lapointe family, the Associates, and the Black Market had not expected this. These misfortunes were, however, short-lived because they were heavily armed and able to oppose the National Gendarmerie Intervention Group. Maybe the government ought to have monitored their arsenal and weapons and enlisted the Cauchemars in the operation itself. Along with the rest of the clan, a number of people were intended to be evacuated, including the three reputable Lapointe members. However, as bullets ricochet off both sides, there was a back and forth between the Associates and the inner sanctum of the Black Market. There was a sudden shift in the plan and uncounted yelling when the leader of the French Black Market was struck by a high-ranking Intervention Group member. Along with Malgier, Asopur, and Seraphine, the wounded leader was evacuated, and his safety was guaranteed by the Black Market and the Associates. Sadly, Seraphine and Asopur were overtaken by the Cauchemar insider at that very moment.

Incident de Lyon, France; MECHANIC ⚙️ 2020

With no other option, all of the Lapointe family—aside from Malgier Lapointe—had been captured. Despite their best efforts, the Associates were unable to launch a counterattack due to a lack of ammunition. The Black Market Dealers from Marseille and Lyon, as well as the French, had all been wounded or apprehended by the Intervention Group. Only two people had fled at this intense and heart-pounding moment: Malgier Lapointe, and the leader of the Black Market's enterprise, the one who carried the responsibilities of the organization as a whole. The Cauchemar insider was still pursuing them even after they had fled the warehouse. This significantly slowed them down as the Cauchemar insider was catching up to both reputable individuals, since Malgier Lapointe was now the one carrying the Black Market leader the entire way. Malgier, a man taught by the most experienced and criminally associated in the region. The man who was responsible for uniting the Black Market enterprise, Surana, was now in a dire situation.

Surana understood at that same moment that the Cauchemars and the French Government had taken control of his entire organization, the same enterprise that had been handed down to him through generations of diligent work. At the same moment as Malgier was applying pressure to Surana's wound, his mask began to fall off and he was bleeding profusely. Regretfully, there came a moment when the Cauchemar Insider—an Italian named Lukas Esposito, who was employed by the Marseille Branch as a Black Market Associate—had finally caught up. Since the two evacuates were presumably in a worse predicament than the Italian assailant, all three of them were panting. As for the Italian, Lukas had a visible smirk on his face— accommodated by the night sky and the subtle yet distant sounds of consistent sirens that vibrated throughout the vicinity of the area. Malgier, with the only energy that Surana had, rushed to the side of a commercial building as the Black Market leader fell to the ground; handing Malgier two things, a capsule with a red button on top, and a MAS-49. He was given the green light to press the red button before it was too late.

AN AUDIBLE EXPLOSION.

It was then that Malgier understood the capsule's mission: to set off the explosives within the warehouse. The entire warehouse collapsed as a result, killing perhaps as many as one hundred people, including the leaders of the French Black Market, the squadrons and expeditions of the National Gendarmerie Intervention Group, the Lyon Black Market, the Associates, the Marseille Black Market, and the entire Lapointe family heritage. It was all gone, entirely gone at this very moment, all because of his adrenaline-induced decisions. But the last living Lapointe heir would not allow his demise to end. Devastated by the loss of his family, he could not bear the thought that he might yet succumb at the hands of the Cauchemar insider. Taking the MAS-49, he gripped it firmly and maneuvered around the commercial building with tact. The last Black Market leader of the French region, Surana, was murdered by Lukas Esposito after a sudden shot ricocheted someplace on the opposite side of the building. He was sweating profusely as his steps were subtle and stealthy, moving around the commercial building as he depended on his delicate sense of hearing to figure out where Lukas Esposito was. He had nothing else to fear besides that man who placed the entire black market organization to crumbs.

AN AUDIBLE BULLET SHOT THAT RICOCHETED THROUGHOUT THE COMMERCIAL BUILDING.

There was a thud and a man went down. Who was it that had done it? Malgier Lapointe or Lukas Esposito? It could be said that the pasta was split in half, indicating Lukas Esposito’s demise. This, in governmental records, was pronounced the end of the French Black Market— All of its branches, and the Lapointe family, stipulating a victory for the Gladiateur Cauchemars, and the French Government. For the record, the Lapointe family’s assets had been confiscated by the government. Any and all relatives to the Lapointe family were detained or arrested, effective immediately. However, Malgier Lapointe never showed up on their records, and is now presumed deceased on governmental documents. However, another male going by the name of Matsuo Shigeo had appeared off the grid.

Malgier Lapointe? None other than the Mechanic, such an intense event filled with many emotions could only be the reason behind the construction of a character with such complexity. Was this the end of the Mechanic’s enterprise in France? Not quite yet.
