What's the title of your suggestion?: Make a better system for KPD and EMS

What's your suggestion?:
So I was thinking if it was possible to upgrade the system in Karakura, so basically whenever a player wants to create a new character they have to fill out an in game form, so basically you put the name, then the surname(s), [not for new players] then you get to chose the age. Then the system brings you into another page where it asks for the front, left, back and right side of the base with no outfits on. Then at the bottom a description so {example : Leonardo Kiochi has a scar in his forehead, two tattoos, one on his back, a massive dragon and one on his chest, a heart. His skin was tanned and his eyes grey, his hair was blond.}.

This system would 1 make SRP more realistic + when someone reports someone to KPD they wouldn't have to </me describes Leonardo Kiochi> they would do </me describes someone with tanned skin, grey eyes and blond hair. The top if a tattoo would be seen on his back> so then KPD would enter on this system those details and names would be pulled up, so it would bring reality to detainment, so say that there Leonardo Kiochi and Hugo Kiochi who have those descriptions then KPD would detain them and interrogate them. Or an EMS worker who brings for an example a dead body that has no idea, well they run the body's prints and Leonardo Kiochi's name would pop up, boom the Jon Doe has a name and identity.

I know this would be hard to code / integrate into SRP.

How will this benefit the server and community?:
Well I think that thanks to this system it would bring an extra level if realism into the game and would add a whole new level to detainment/interrogations. I honestly don't know how many people KPD interrogate but I doubt that it's alot, and if it is alot then most characters would stay quiet and possibly be releaser. I might be wrong but that's my intake!

Extremely complicated system that's too niche.

Reporting someone by detailing what they know of them makes no sense. Remember, we do this as a faculty member as well. This would render teachers and polices unable to act immediately upon a situation, because suddenly they don't know who actually being reported, and it would just make delinquent/criminal have a better time than, well, everyone else.

Many players do not engage in CrimeRP, they just wanna be here on SRP and hang out with friends. Making them going through such thing, whenever they create a new character is such a pain when it's supposed to be SCHOOLRP. Also people with multiple characters would not have a fun time going through this. What's more, the benefit you gave out only applies to criminal. Most players aren't criminals, and they don't wanna involve KPD.

Making SRP more realistic sometimes does not equal to making it better.

Hi, Deputy Mayor and BMD(KA Autos Director) here, there are several flaws in the way that you want it to be changed. At the end of the day, it just realistically will not work, since you are a professor, lets put you in the shoes of this new system.

Imagine someone gets attacked on school grounds where CCTV can't really reach, and a student comes up to you and describes a 'tan person with blond hair and blue eyes', how are you supposed to narrow it down among the hundreds of students with that same description? Same goes for what you are suggesting that the Emergency Services and/or Crime Community to adopt and take on.

Making a character the way you want is actually limiting the freedom that SRP players have when it comes to character creation. It is simply not fair for any of the parties involved. We have to remember that this is ROLEPLAY of a modern day, if you gave a description to the police in real life about a criminal, they won't be able to do much besides look for people who have a similar look you asked for. And even then, they might not even find the person that you described.

And the whole 'scanning the fingerprints to see who it is', yeah that is already a thing in-character that is in the database. When you get an ID from the government or booked into the jail, your prints are taken and are placed with a name, so you are already in the system. All EMS do to find out who a Joe/Jane Doe is - is to take their prints, blood, or test any part of their body for DNA to find them.

When suggesting plugins that give police or government factions more tools for forensics, identification, or investigations (such as setting RP names, character descriptions, or tracking past actions) it's important to weigh the benefits for those specific roles against the added effort required from the broader playerbase.

Don't get me wrong; logging detailed character descriptions in a database to later query them would technically boost realism and be genuinely useful for factions like KPD or EMS. However, they would come at the cost of burdening regular players, especially those with multiple characters. Requiring everyone to go through extra steps just to make this "niche" functionality for a few factions risks making the system feel tedious or unfeasible for everyday use.

To sum it all up, the trade-off just isn't worth it for the server as a whole.

Thank you for your suggestion! After discussing this with the team we have decided to decline it.
