Minoru is often the caretaker of his household, so he usually enjoys taking walks to nearby stores to

- Minoru has undiagnosed ADHD. This often shows up in how he speaks and runs around, usually
being unable to keep his thoughts within his head and annoying those around him. He usually
keeps this at bay by waving his hands or arms around, which confuses people a lot.
- Minoru is noticeably neurodivergent. He has a lot of trouble understanding metaphors or other
flowery language, which leads to him misinterpreting situations and making them awkward or
worse. He also sometimes raises his voice at random times, making people shut him up or think
he's angry or upset. He is also known for being intensely bothered when his daily schedule is
ruined by a random occurrence, which he expresses through panic and frustration.
- Minoru has intense PTSD due to events that happened to him in Karakura. He will scream and freak
out if he is touched without being asked. This will also happen if you call him Min.
- Minoru has really bad eyesight. He has prescription glasses, but he often refuses to use them due
to being teased.

- Minoru's method of handling situations in a peaceful manner sometimes never works if the other
party refuses to cooperate. This is how he gets beaten up sometimes.

to actually hurt them unless the person really got on his nerves.
- Because of Minoru's niceness, he tends to garner a lot of unwanted attention from others. He ends
up being extremely confused (scared even) when people start constantly asking to be with him or

Backstory:
Childhood
Minoru was born in Bordeaux, France, and lived there until he was 10. During that time, he had an extremely
lonely childhood due to being sheltered and neglected by his busy father, who often went on business trips
instead of caring for him. His mother was the only one who cared for him until she eventually passed away
when he was 5. During his mother's final moments, she instructed him,
"Minoru, always look towards the light. Even when things stay dark, they can never stay that way forever.
You're a good kid. Do what you can to help your peers."
His mother's last words to him have set the foundation for an upbeat and responsible child, which allowed
him to take care of himself in his father's absence. Eventually, when he turned 10 years of age, his father told
him that they were moving to Osaka; the place where his mother once lived before marrying and moving to
France. Minoru was absolutely thrilled to know that he was finally going to spend time with his father in a new
change of scenery. Unfortunately, when he started attending school, he didn't earn any friends to call his own
because of his foreign appearance. When all seemed dim, a young Japanese boy his age sat next
to him during his break period.
"Are you wearing no socks? That's so dumb."
"Heeey! They're just different sizes! Of course I'm wearing socks!"
Eventually, the boy introduced himself as Yutaka Tanaka, a name that he was extremely ashamed of. Minoru,
in a flicker of brilliance, decided to nickname him Yuta. This was the start of a long-lasting friendship between
the two boys. They attended classes together, ate together, did plays together, and even hung out at each
other's houses. Those next three years in Osaka were heaven to Minoru, until his father needed to go on another
series of business trips. Deciding that Osaka wasn't a good place to leave his son, he booked a flight to
somewhere much worse; Karakura.
Karakura City
Coincidentally, Yuta followed suit in attending Karakura High, similar to Minoru. At first, Minoru was elated to
see his best friend attend the school with him. However, things began taking turns for the worse when
they learned the reality of their situation. They began getting bullied by upperclassmen as they tried their
hardest to learn the ropes to navigating the school. No matter how politely they asked, many only wanted
to manipulate or fight them. Things got much worse when they were jumped by an upperclassman who
demanded for them to join his fight club. The boys refused profusely to no avail until they saw someone
around the same age as the man walk by.
Begging for help, they managed to get the person's attention and
bought enough time to flee. Their savior followed them into an alley after the ordeal and offered to let them
stay in his apartment overnight to avoid more conflict. Minoru was very eager and agreed, much to Yuta's
hesitance. The apartment seemed normal at first, but many things began to appear off as Yuta kept begging
for Minoru and him to leave. It took Minoru quite a bit during that period to fully understand Yuta's panic
and eventually plotted to escape.
Thankfully, their friend, Iri, visited the apartment out of sheer coincidence
and saved them as they fled. Unfortunately, the man who owned the apartment followed them into the
streets, where he attempted to persuade them to continue their stay. Yuta and Minoru declined profusely
and instead told them that they were going to go look for vacant apartments with the funds they had
saved up.
This unfortunately led to an extremely traumatic experience where the two boys were involved in a shooting
around the apartment complex they were browsing in, hiding from the man as he searched the place. He
eventually gave up and the pair were free to escape the area.

in a flicker of brilliance, decided to nickname him Yuta. This was the start of a long-lasting friendship between
the two boys. They attended classes together, ate together, did plays together, and even hung out at each
other's houses. Those next three years in Osaka were heaven to Minoru, until his father needed to go on another
series of business trips. Deciding that Osaka wasn't a good place to leave his son, he booked a flight to
somewhere much worse; Karakura.
Karakura City
Coincidentally, Yuta followed suit in attending Karakura High, similar to Minoru. At first, Minoru was elated to
see his best friend attend the school with him. However, things began taking turns for the worse when
they learned the reality of their situation. They began getting bullied by upperclassmen as they tried their
hardest to learn the ropes to navigating the school. No matter how politely they asked, many only wanted
to manipulate or fight them. Things got much worse when they were jumped by an upperclassman who
demanded for them to join his fight club. The boys refused profusely to no avail until they saw someone
around the same age as the man walk by.
Begging for help, they managed to get the person's attention and
bought enough time to flee. Their savior followed them into an alley after the ordeal and offered to let them
stay in his apartment overnight to avoid more conflict. Minoru was very eager and agreed, much to Yuta's
hesitance. The apartment seemed normal at first, but many things began to appear off as Yuta kept begging
for Minoru and him to leave. It took Minoru quite a bit during that period to fully understand Yuta's panic
and eventually plotted to escape.
Thankfully, their friend, Iri, visited the apartment out of sheer coincidence
and saved them as they fled. Unfortunately, the man who owned the apartment followed them into the
streets, where he attempted to persuade them to continue their stay. Yuta and Minoru declined profusely
and instead told them that they were going to go look for vacant apartments with the funds they had
saved up.
This unfortunately led to an extremely traumatic experience where the two boys were involved in a shooting
around the apartment complex they were browsing in, hiding from the man as he searched the place. He
eventually gave up and the pair were free to escape the area.

Trivia
- Minoru was first created as a joke character that fits into the stereotypical "charismatic-prince-with-a-dark-side" personality.
As time went on and more hijinks occurred, I figured that I had to start taking the roleplay seriously and started genuinely
developing him as a more realistic character.
- I had two skins planned to be used for Minoru's initial design, but they were both scrapped in favor of his current one.

- Minoru's personality was inspired by an old character I played in a roleplay called Wincrest Valley. His name was
Felix Zielinski, a shy, stuttery, and easily embarrassed 19-year-old boy. Minoru is essentially a more outgoing
version of Felix.
- The first-ever official drawing I made of Minoru was the group selfie picture. Back then, his design wasn't quite
established yet and I wasn't sure what art style I should draw him in. This is why the image might seem a little
funkier than the others made after it.
- Minoru's hair is weirdly difficult to draw, which is why I haven't been doing any art of him as of late.
- Minoru is canonically the oldest of his cousins.
- Minoru used to have a bowl cut when he was younger.
- The only person he would ever heavily curse at or beat up is his best friend, Yuta.
- He has always aspired to become part of the track team, but I am a bit hesitant out-of-character to actually have
him tryout due to personal reasons.
- He wanted to become a psychiatrist but was heavily discouraged by many people with experience in the EMS.
- His backup career prospects involve working at Flora Bust or Koribureku Bakery. For now, he is currently earning as
a freelance portrait artist.
- Funnily enough, he is canonically the only person who earns money through work in his household.
- Minoru's love for sweets originated from his childhood when he was able to visit nearby bakeries once a week
with his caretakers. It was always a rare treat for him; an exciting and joyous one at that.
- During outings as a kid, he grew a habit of picking up flowers from nearby bushes and handing them to strangers,
introducing himself and hoping they stay safe and well. Encouraged by the smiles and respect he received, this carried
on into adulthood where he gives out similar objects of interest while wishing the best for whoever he hands them to.
- Minoru's umbrella is a source of safety for him, which is why he rarely removes it from his hand. He'll begin clutching
it if he feels anxious or threatened. He's also very hesitant to give it to anyone else in the case that it's asked of him.
