Describe your activity on the server:
I'm online far more often in the afternoon when SchoolRP is much more active for about 8 to 10 hours, typically focused on caretaker quota, but this can decrease or increase in the case that I have something scheduled for later that week. However, aside from that alone I like to believe that I can be rather accessible when it comes down to activeness and if someone's needed for additional help. With Caretaker quota it would mean that my alternate account is more active than my other one but I would like to change that in the case I get in by alternating between both when needed for each or even to interact with those that I otherwise often would not. I would make a timetable to show how available I can be but due to how scattered my sleep schedule is or occupied with aiding my mother or even another game. I don't think that would be too useful to include.

What is your motivation for applying?:
Like before I mentioned above that I have a lot of available time that I do not have much to fill with because of the fact I am unable to find work. Which leaves me here! I have been in the KPD before and loved each second that I was able to do work both OOCly and ICly, with the utmost dedication that I could even muster throughout the time I was there. (11 Months), even now when on the outside and with close attention while I watch others do what I was passionate about that dedication never seems to leave. It's what has motivated me even more to send out a new application, even if that has been in each wave. There was something thrilling that I found about being able to do something positive somewhere, despite that somewhere being over a fictional game and career with endless fictional characters, that have been customised to fit their personalities. Of course, like all there is stress that can come with it. But to be honest that's supposed to happen, when something feels correct or even where something feels happy, stress will come with it. Police Work is something that has heavily interested me both before, during and after I left the Emergency Faction. I've ventured out to look a new experiences but often find myself drawn back and wanting to return. Not only this, but the people within and the teamwork that's so finely detailed into fictional people are something that I don't feel can be found anywhere else or in another faction for that fact.

What knowledge do you have of Police Work?
I have noticed how much of a difference there is in the KPD since I was there but even with that I like to think that I have the luck to be a bit more knowledgeable on certain information about Police Work that most could be, whether that be from an officer or criminal (even Detective) view and experience. I've been fortunate enough to be able to participate in both aspects and gather a decent collective of how things should work. As well I can recall a lot of the information that I learned both while I was a cadet and even more when I became a Detective.

Why is Police important to SchoolRP?
In my own opinion. It is absolutely a necessity to have law enforcement such as the KPD. Without them Karakura would have an increase in crime rate and criminals would have more of an overtake than the average civilian does now. Unfortunately, it's something that would allow more and more criminals to live without that constant state of fear and consequences, but then keep their own civilians with that never ending feel. It's a mechanic that adds more balance than it would do with chaos! EMS would be flooded within minutes even more than now if KPD wasn't around to offer additional assistance with wounded patients, there would be an increased danger to their work. A bear call takes one minute to turn south and while that doesn't mean EMS cannot handle them. It means there's extra protection for them in the case of someone being rescued from the Forest or another hard to reach location. It would be far, far too dangerous for them to venture out on their own. Not jsut this but KPD have a rather wild involvement within the server, included in most events and have some of their own.

Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are needed to attend or you will be punished?
I acknowledge this and will make sure I am available to attend training in the case that I am online.

Describe your character; how they look, what makes them unique?
body.png

A far older, poised woman with a short stature. It should not be something that others let make them fool, though; she maintains a well maintained amount of athleticism. Akari can be rather reserved, or even a neutral demeanour that’s often on show, mixed with blatant exhaustion that often etched into her visage. Her eyes shone with greyish-blue tones that were once radiant with determination but had now become weary with recent times. A once soothing, mellow tone was now rigged, a prominent scar on her neck indicating the cause of a nightmare. Something unique would be the visible claw mark that tainted her left cheek (which is a close resemblance to the one Yoru from Chainsaw man has.) yet fails to ruin the utter remnants of elegance.

How does your character act in a professional/casual situation?
Professional & Casual
Schwarz can be someone who's stern in a more professional situation but that can depend on what the situation is revolved around. If it were a situation than needed to be handed as a law enforcement officer would then Akari could do that but a situation that doesn't seem like an opinion would be needed then she would remain hidden behind a voice that would've often spoken out with an opinion before, but now it can be noticed with someone who's far more settled in a shadow than the woman who lied behind a familiar eye. To be more observational was safer than to be someone with a more meaningful opinion. To Akari this behaviour was not a weakness, but a familiar feeling to protect. That continued the wonder whether it was or was not a weakness. Perhaps it was, but it was a weakness that became comfortable. There's not much of a difference between Akari in a casual situation other than the fact that she can be far more aware and fixated on those around, even more when alone or with relatives.

What is their outlook on the idea of co-workers & teamwork?
It was a reward! A conversation that was .. Which was unfortunately not the case for Schwarz.
She's fine with the small talk and an occasional joke between co-workers but a full blown conversation about their home life or something that seemed not too important was Akari's absolute worst nightmare. Of course, that does outlook alone with conversations does not come between teamwork. In fact Akari is a firm believer that teamwork increases work efficiency and allows overall work quality to be improved. It can allow that feeling for the work space to feel like a safer environment without the need to check around too often for someone that could attempt to attack or even sneak behind with a weapon, because more often than not another officer would be in the middle of that. Whether their focus is on Akari or not her focus is on them to ensure their protected and safe with their well-being and behaviour. This does not mean that all duties would need someone else to be there. It would become suffocating for them both if that were the case, handling a report or even a solo patrol in the chance that the EM level is low enough can be done. It would just be preferred to have someone else for her own peace of mind.

What's your character's backstory?
Akari Hangai, Hamamoto, now known as Akari Schwarz, was born in early July of 1999 to her mother and father in Karakura, Japan. They were located in the well-off area of town and sat with comfortable earnings, they cared for Akari by teaching her basic life needs until the age of nine when their business went downhill and they hit a time of bankruptcy and decided it would be better off to kick her out so they were able to live a stable and comfortable life on their own without the means of having to care and cost for a child.

During her state of homelessness, the youngling taught herself how to light bulbs, trim garden bushes, plant seeds, water them, and was able to learn how to repair door handles and reattach doors to their hinges after learning all of these tasks down to a T. Akari had managed to pick up various small jobs around Karakura for a little bit of extra money so she would be able to afford basic essentials such as toiletries and food necessities. She wasn't entirely bothered about taking on safe or dangerous jobs, as long as she was being careful about it and was able to properly get the job done. Further in her time of homelessness after being stuck continuously outside for four years at the age of thirteen, she was introduced to Lora Schwarz, partner to founder Kuro Schwarz. Akari and Lora had become incredibly close to one another after a few months of building their relationship with one another similar to a mother-daughter relationship and Lora had decided to have a talk with her husband in regards to adopting Akari as their own, thankfully he agreed and Akari took up the Schwarz last name.

Two years later at the age of fifteen after hearing them converse with one another in two different languages that she wasn't able to understand being German and Spanish, two common languages she had heard the most in that household. Akari had finally built up the courage to ask about the two languages and hopefully be taught them. It wasn't long before they all began collectively teaching her focusing on the German language since that's the language they spoke the most with one another. And, although she experienced trouble with the grammar rules, declinations and articles with a large amount of time and patience from both sides with help from Yonio and most specifically Kuro, who was born in Germany, textbooks and online lessons. She was able to have basic conversations with them which was suited and a comfortable fit for her. Additionally, a year later at sixteen Akari had finally decided she wanted to learn the Spanish language too and Yonio was more than willing to assist her, using textbooks, online classes and assistance from her teachers. She was able to speak the language at the same level as she was German, basic. Once turning eighteen two years later she would later decide to become far more fluent in the German language. Her passion allowed her to spend an enlarged amount of time focusing on common words that would often slip up on. Thankfully, she had the help of various school faculty workers who helped her learn the language, most specifically its expressions and rules.

Meanwhile living with the couple she was fortunate enough to meet Yonio Schwarz who she quickly formed a larger bond with the male, who was her uncle at the time. He had later through an agreement between Kuro, Lora and himself decided it would be better for him to adopt her rather than them two, due to their closer bond and how hands on he was with raising her. It wasn't long before their father-daughter relationship had become far more official and they were able to grow closer with one another and build a closer bond while they were building their relationship. It was noted to Yonio that Akari hadn't attended a school's environment and severely lacked basic learning knowledge, deciding to enrol her in Karakura High so she was able to increase her education as well as being able to help her considering he was a Tutor at the time of her enrolment. It took a few months for Akari to get comfortable in the school setting after being enrolled but she was soon able to settle in, often spending most of her time either alone or hanging around her father at the tutoring room since at the time she was cautious yet about meeting new people. Yonio had introduced her to a few students that commonly had conversations with him while he was waiting for students that required assistance with specific subjects that he specialised in, luckily Akari had formed a neutral relationship with those various students and was able to comfortably wander around with them. It wasn't until her school days took a larger turn for the worst and she had been the unfortunate victim of a group of girls. This group of girls had a specific disliking to Akari for a reason she never found out, often calling her names throughout the halls. Though, she was quick to inform Yonio of the events happening and they were dealt with accordingly by himself and this hadn't stopped them and they continued to pester her throughout the following few months, but Akari was perfectly able to ignore them and adjust her pure focus on getting better in the topics she was most passionate about, as well as having tutoring sessions from her father if she ever were to need a little bit of extra help and thankfully with the assistance of her newly close family and teachers she was able to catch up quite quickly by flying through various subjects she incredibly favoured such as Mathematics, Science, History and Physical Education.

Eventually, she managed to brush through high school and had finally made her way into Karakura’s College at the age of nineteen, her aunt Lora had suggested that it was a good idea to start thinking about a career for herself in the future and despite struggling with what career she wanted Akari searched for the assistance of Yonio and peers at school. It took approximately three weeks for her to finally decide on what she wanted to do with herself in the future but she got there and at last she had decided that she wanted to apply for Karakura’s Police Department from a young age Akari had always been helping people whether that have been a way of building money she still enjoyed the rewards of being a good citizen. She would only apply once she had gone through all the necessary training and gained the correct degrees in college. Whilst in college Akari took the time to focus on getting a degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology and Psychology alongside this she took the time to continue with her learning on the German language and a year later at the age of twenty Akari was able to fluently speak the language in its proper glory. During the following months whilst finishing college Akari became far more friendly with her cousin Sakura, daughter of Kuro and Lora and a friend of Sakura’s by the name Shian. It was evident to those who paid attention to the trio that they had an extremely close bond with one another, as well that they went almost everywhere with one another. This was until Akari decided to take up a part time job as a Mechanic School, although these three subjects were hard to manage on top of working a part-time job at a local Mechanic shop but she was able to get through and often utilised the skills she had taught herself at a young age. It wasn't long before Akari had finally finished college graduating with a Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, criminology and psychology.

Nearing the age of twenty-one Akari had close conversations with her relatives about how she wished to move forward and eventually decided to continue her desire of becoming a police officer with support from her close family she travelled out of Karakura to Fuchu, Tokyo purchasing herself an apartment close by to Fuchu’s Metropolitan Police Academy soon after settling herself in with basic necessities required for her apartment such as furniture, toiletries and food. A week into staying she had begun to enrol herself into the police academy, she studied at the police department and underwent two practical training sessions for a total of two years. Despite minor struggles approaching such as failing to complete a few of the training techniques throughout her two years there, encouragement from her close family had motivated her to continue trying and eventually managed to get a swift hang of what she was supposed to do and was accepted into Fuchu’s Metropolitan Police Department. After completing her time in the police academy within those two years and reaching the age of twenty-two she decided to stay for two more years working sixteen-hour shifts in a spread out pattern of days of the week. Akari had settled down for the next two years, though unfortunately for those four years of being out of Karakura Akari had missed out on a key part of young adulthood, failing to allow her father to experience the opportunity to see her grow this had mildly struck her and after a few months of hitting the age of twenty-five in December of 2023 she had decided to return to Karakura, where she had applied for the Caretaker position at Karakura's high school for approximately three months before quitting gaining the chance to reunite with now known as Yeager Schwarz noting that he had received a job at Karakura's Police Department after her return it had motivated her further to finally apply to Karakura's Police Department

Akari was accepted into the force sometime after this application was made and continued with thorough enjoyment to work in the force, even with this a little while after deciding to make the move to the detective division which was completed. She worked for nearly a full year before a wound was inflicted that concerned her life safety, which was expected but not as soon. She left and dabbled in some classified work for a few months before the eventual choice to become a caretaker once more was an option. Akari worked there for a few weeks now but often has wanted to return to her favourite line of work! Making the choice to send out a second application to Karakura's Police Department.

General Knowledge

Can you legally own a pocket knife in Karakura?
“No. That would be an idiotic choice to make on their own behalf. It's considered to be a felonious crime and can come with some extreme legal consequences to them and their record when someone is caught while in ownership of an item like that."

Name 5 medical items that do NOT require a prescription
"There are countless medications that do not require someone to have a document to confirm the legality. I've made a chart with a few of the medications and/or medical equipment with their respective prices and the amount that can be purchased at a time."

Medication
Price
Unbranded Bandage
¥1,000 | 5
Paracetamol
¥1,500 | 3
Cough Syrup
¥6,000 | 2
Multivitamins
¥3,500 | 5
Hearing Aid
¥7,000 | 1

If you see your co-workers physically abusing an inmate, what should you do?
“I would make a call over the radio for further assistance and then move in to separate the officer and inmate from one another with the colleague who came to help out. After that I would check across the inmate for visible injuries, then call for medical assistance before I move the inmate to the station's medical bay. While both are having their respective treatments I will head down to the camera room and review the officers body camera as well as CCTV in the area to figure out what happened. When that's been collected I would make a report to someone in command for it to be dealt with if the officer was the one to cause the altercation.”

What should you do if you see your co-worker being assaulted?
“Oh! Well. My answer can vary depending on situational context."
"In this situation it would mean that my co-worker is alone and surrounded. I would make the assumption that the wounded co-worker is unable to hit their immediate danger call and make movement to hit my own for them and have a paramedic or two nearby to collect them once suspects are handled. But I wouldn't be too immediate to intervene with their attack because those criminals could decide to turn the attack on me or the hospital workers and leave us unable to share information across the radio to our colleagues. To move in and intervene without additional aid is rather idiotic, that's the exact reason to take my own safety into account so the officer can be saved, to create a more than reasonable distance between myself and them, but in a way that I can see the wounded officer while back-up prepares to head over to offer assistance. When they've arrived we would all move in as a collective and immobilize the suspects with our stun blasters and tranquilisers in order to allow medical professionals to move in."
"With the second situation. To be honest this one is one that we could handle on our own in the case that we are not outnumbered, the suspects would be stunned and arrested without hopeful fuss. But if we were unable to, I would have made the smarter choice to hit our immediate danger button once more while we move to somewhere safer so our co-workers can head over to assist us. Whenever they have arrived we would follow procedure to either wall or stun them and then arrest them, while the other officers leave to handle the cells. After this the co-worker and I that were attacked would seek medical attention to rule out potential injuries.”

What do you do if you find out that your co-worker is corrupt and is helping criminal organizations?
“.. Corruption? I can think about one sad but memorable experience to answer this. In a career like this it's disheartening to learn that someone who's supposed to be trusted could wear the badge and throw it all down the drain to cause harm to their career and colleagues. Luckily, I am level headed enough to know that I cannot allow feelings or relationships to come between how I handle this. I would have a private conversation with someone in the chain of command about the concern that's been made, whether there's evidence or not, following with a statement if that much was needed. No matter what. It holds importance to make someone aware. On the hand that evidence was seen and the body camera I have captured that then it would be shown to who I tell then left for them to investigate. In the end it shouldn't be handled in a different manner whether someone believes that officer could do it or not. It could be speculation but it could be truthful.”

How would you react to a criminal trying to bribe you?
“It's rather unfortunate to see that someone feels the need to do this. Of course, I would have no hesitation to decline their offer and let them know that it's a fineable offence to bribe an officer or even law enforcement in general. Though! It's common for a criminal to make a counter offer which would end in a fine, as unfortunate as it is, I do not believe a second warning would suffice. A bribery fine is ¥25,000, neither is it worth the consequences that could follow if I were to take that offer.”
