I literally said to make a space for them on the bio, bc we only have gender

As stated before, by others. . The character you're interacting with, wouldn't automatically know your character's pronouns, just like in real life you have to ask and then start using them correctly.
If you want to add them to your biography, go ahead and add it with the 'Gender' part, it would make sense to add that there if you are a lazy person like many...

And even in some applications if your character uses special pronouns [ ze/zem, ext ] you would be able to put them in the 'gender' portion if it doesn't already ask for your character's pronouns.
