NA, Im a good Noodle
Describe your activity on the server:
Very active. I come online almost daily to talk/roleplay with friends and to participate in events. On my main account, I run one of the new shops called Kintsugi which as of recently I’ve been very active in trying to open daily if possible. If I’m not doing anything much with my shop character, I’m on my alt actively roleplaying with others; there’s never really a reason for not to find something to do to keep me entertained on the server. For about 4 to 5 months, I ran the garden club before passing it off to become a shop owner and a shrine maiden. I enjoyed being a shrine maiden for roughly 2 months before I missed having an account in school and dropped from that but staying as a shine volunteer on my main! I love being interactive on the server and love taking the opportunity to do so!

What is your motivation for applying?:
My biggest motivation would be I want to practice my writing. I’m a pretty detailrper as it is but there's zero harm in trying to better it. Joining the school journalists would bring me an opportunity to find ways to write more outside of the typical roleplay actions. Writing is one of my favorite hobbies along with reading and being able to be on this team would give me the drive I’m looking for to work on my writing while also being interactive with the server itself.
What knowledge do you have of journalist Work?
The job of the journalist/reporter is to research and deliver the news typically in a written format such as magazines, newspapers, and online articles! Its their job to find the “dirt” or just the truth behind the story so others don’t have too and can still be caught up on the “in and now”. This news can NOT derive from the truth hence why they do their research and talk around to find it! The TLDR version of that would simply be they investigate the reporting on current events and report/update the public on the findings.
Why are Reporters important to SchoolRP?
To help keep players on the same page. If an event was missed, especially little minor ones; they have the opportunity to read the articles the journalist posts and be ICLY caught up with the events and to help their characters be able to be a part of the roleplay more. They can find ICLY knowledge of events and findings around the school written by the school journalists; the school aspect of the server being so important as it is schoolrp. It helps keep everyone on the same page and find the truth behind each story! It can be used to help better a roleplay experience!

[CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE]
Tell us about your character, how do they look, what makes them unique? What are they like on and off the job? Outlook on their co-workers? Plans for the future?:
Usako is the eldest daughter of two citizens of Karakura, this town is something she was born and raised to know. She grew up really into Japanese rebellion fashion such as gyaru and decoden styles which is why in later years, and years of begging, she was able to bleach her hair. She is a native japanese woman who found love in blogging after getting her first smartphone. Usako recently entered college to get a degree in Cultural Studies but when she found out about the journalist club decided to give her years of blogging a shot at something new. She’s always loved sticking her nose where it didn’t belong when her ears picked up on something, along that she loved doing “detective work” to find out the hidden truth. Usako usually plays nice with others until a hostile environment takes place. Depending on the situation, she would try her best to solve the issue but sometimes it's better to just walk away. As far as a future career goes, Usako always wanted to travel and study the world around her, hence her degree being in Culture. She wants to be able to write about living in different areas around the world and educate others around her on the ways people around the world live and how they differ.
BACKSTORY:
Born in Japan, Usako was the first born to two young parents. From a young age, she found a hobby in video games when her father brought her home an original DS for her birthday. She loved that thing, playing nintendogs for hours on end. From there her hobbies branched out, saving for each top of the line game and system as much as she could, even making deals of how if she keeps her grades up they’ll help her fund it. She’d save her money from chores and even jobs for neighbors year round to be able to afford her addiction. By the age of 10, she was able to afford her first PC, thanks to some help from her parents. Aside from her gaming habit, Usako grew up very close to her city; she loved spending time at the local beach and even going to work with her parents when the time permitted. She was a hard working student but this came from a drive of being seen as not enough to her family. She grew up practicing Shintoism with her family, visiting the shrine on holidays and for important events to pray to the local god.
As Usako aged, she was blessed with two younger sisters whom she really fell in love with. Though sisters being sisters, they did have their bickering as time went on but at the end of the day, Usako tried her best to keep them close to her heart; family is the key to everything. Sooner or later, she enrolled in Karakura High School and it was around this time she began blogging on social media such as instagram and twitter; opening up a small door of love to learning about other cultures but this wasn’t a door Usako wouldn't see until later. Usako kept her grades up while trying her best to manage her social life which for a short while ended with her locking herself in doors most of the day to play video games. This would have been the start of her teenage rebellion; she found a love or even an admiration for Western rebellious fashion and local Gyaru fashion. It wasn’t until her last year of high school her parents allowed her to bleach her hair blonde.
Applying for college was the first moment Usako decided to look into the little door she opened years ago when deciding to enter for Cultural Studies. She was happily accepted into the college with flying colors, making not only herself but her parents extremely proud of her. Usako ended up catching wind of the Journalist Club from doing her classic listening in on others conversations when she shouldn’t be and decided to take her blogging to a new level and try something new for the world of Karakura to read.
