Describe your activity on the server:
I have been within the community for more than a year, and seven months now, and throughout that time I have slowly garnered a some-what reputable name to myself in regards to my skin-making services, or my art. Although, I do not say this to flaunt my reputation, but as evidence of my activity within the server, as I have been progressively contributing to the community with my skills consistently for over a year, or however you wish to interpret it.
I wish to continue this endeavor with creating skins, and art for people, however, it can conflict with my availability, on top of real-life events going around me, although I am confident that I have enough time to squeeze in the responsibility of a shopkeeper. In addition to this, I have recently graduated two months ago, in which I have a lot more free time for the game, and I do plan to spend the rest of my leisure time on the server. And, my day-to-day activity can spike from two to five hours a day, or even more even on weekdays or weekends.

Shop Information
What shop are you applying for?:
I am applying for Shizukesa, or any other available establishment under the restaurant & bar category. However, upon acceptance, I’d like to change the name to Seikatsu (生活) in which translates to ‘livelihood’ which pairs well with the shop’s theme, and purpose as a Karaoke Bar that promotes living freely, and enjoying life to its fullest through song, being surrounded by those who you care about, and venting out your frustrations through the melodic use of your voice, may that be angelic or hellish.
Here in Seikatsu, we don’t judge!
Why do you want to become a Shopkeeper?:
Being a Shopkeeper has been a beginning dream of mine when I first set foot within the SRP; not because of the earnings you’d gain, or the profits you make, but due to the ideas that constantly plagued my mind like an on-going stream, a flood that continues to overflow. Being a Shopkeeper in itself is a creative challenge, and a challenge I am willing to tackle. Over the course of months, if not nearly a year, I have been trying to test the waters, building a sturdy ark before sailing through the tides; I have been trying my best to think out of the box but still preserve functionality to my idealistic creativity which in itself is a huge conflict that I have been trying to maintain. And through that, one must ensure that the ark does not sink when the strong waves hit, and soon follow the currents to rocky rivers.
I personally enjoy brainstorming ideas whenever I can, not for my own benefit but in hopes for the enjoyment of others. All I want is to see people smile, a proof to the testimony of my efforts, for weeks I have been facing the storms head-on; with my attempts to create something good, something unique, something stands out all-while maintaining a proper structure, a strong foundation in hopes that my ark does not sink. The role of a Shopkeeper has been a strong endeavor, a passion that I’ve seeked for so long, it means a lot to me, just as much as I have put in the time, and the effort in creating this shop-concept, this idea that I tried my best to ensure it’ll come true. A creation that I have long since treated as my own.
I hope this best describes why it means a lot to me to take upon this role as a shopkeeper.
All I ever wanted is to watch my ark sail from the docks, and begin its journey.
What do you plan to do with your shop, and what makes it unique?:
“VENT YOUR FRUSTRATIONS OUT THROUGH SINGING! SCREAM WITH THAT REVERB! AHHHHHHHH!”
A KARAOKE BAR!
The premise of the shop itself is to implement a very popular establishment that has been going on within Japan for decades now, and that is a Karaoke Bar! Karaoke has been very famous ever since the date of its creation within Japan, and grew to become strongly rooted to the country’s culture. It is the most favored go-to past time for most of the population! A great place to let loose with friends, families and even co-workers!
A Karaoke Bar in itself can be a challenge to make, however, Seikatsu contains a carefully thought out system that aims for more roleplay interaction with music. Our top priority is the enjoyment of others, and ensuring that everyone is well-indulgent with our services.
WHAT DO WE SERVE? AND WHAT ARE THE CONTENTS OF THE STORE?
The Menu;
Such as most Karaoke Bars; we primarily serve Japanese dishes and snacks that are affordable and friendly for most budgets, sometimes we have meals varying from different cultures as exclusive specials, alongside non-alcoholic beverages for everyone, and all ages to enjoy. And, it isn’t a bar without our main runner-up! Alcohol; a long range of it, with a large variety ranging from alcoholic blends, to whiskey bottles. You name it! Though in the possible future, I’d plan to get custom slots for exclusive, and unique poured-glass style drinks rather than plain bottes, to add more onto the authenticity, and immersion of a bar. As well as custom-microphones that people can freely purchase purely for aesthetics.
Does this mean the bar is ID entry only? Nope! The Karaoke Bar is open for all to enjoy! After all, Karaoke and singing should never be limited. Although, if the customers would like to purchase alcohol, they must provide an ID as proof that they are of legal drinking age.
Private Karaoke Booths; (Ground Floor/First Floor)
A plethora of private sound-proof rooms would be dominating one whole entire floor. Of course, it isn’t a Karaoke bar without a booth to sing to your heart’s content without the entire world’s judgment. And to have a lot of reservations, the rooms are quite small and can squeeze in a good five to seven people per private booth. To use these booths will cost 5,000 yen for 15 (OOC) minutes, and another 5,000 yen for an extension of the same amount of time. Each room contains a TV to display the lyrics, a couch surrounding the table, and enough space to breakdance! Destroy that dance floor!
Hold on, hold on, how can you even gain privacy in-game if the chat gets flooded so easily? How do these private rooms work? Well that’s simple! Since, the rooms are supposedly ‘sound-proof’, with all four walls being heavily padded in-character. The guests MUST use /itc and /mec for their actions and dialogue even if they’re being ‘loud’, or ‘yelling’ to their heart’s content, nobody should be able to hear them as long as they are within these sound-proof rooms. (This will be explained immediately, upon entrance to every guest.)
But wouldn't next-door neighbors still hear us despite the use of /itc or /mec? Nope! With the range of /itc and /mec being three blocks in radius. Every room will have one block gap in-between the walls to avoid being heard by nearby rooms. That should count as a total of three blocks wide, which will be enough for privacy, and not see any other player’s /itc or /mec actions other than yourself, and the people occupying your room.
This does require a larger layout or space for a lot more room to build, however I believe the location for Shizukesa, or any Shop-District shop location will be sufficient enough for this endeavor.
The Music Playlists;
The people within these booths will be given a notebook of playlists that has been chosen by the store-owner (me), the co-owner and the managers to ensure that the music options are deemed appropriate, and aligns with SRP rules. This also helps people to choose an immediate song from our lists of options. However, the guests are free to request a custom song (at a cost of 5,000 yen for 3 songs) of their choice as long as it doesn't break SRP rules and regulations, which will be quickly reviewed before playing it.
Where will the songs be played? All songs will be played via the website - w2g/watch2gether, and will be handled by our employees. It is mandatory that our trusted employees will be the hosts of the w2g to avoid any inappropriate songs being played. Each one of them will be assigned to a booth to keep track of, and play music for.
What if the song options are bad? Well! We’ll be having a little dropper set at the front, for you to freely write down a list of songs you’d like to be added into our playlist, and the store management will review it thoroughly. We are also going to have a dedicated channel within the shop’s discord server for you to request your songs! Our ears are open to the community, and we’d like to keep up with the trends! And we want to include what the masses would like to listen to. For the full enjoyment of our guests.
Main Lounge; (Upper/Second Floor)
The Booths are full? Well wait here, in the meantime, enjoy yourself with the food, and drinks.
The Main Lounge is a public dining area for those that would like to wait for any open booths and be served with food or have something to do. Or, would just like to come and indulge themselves with our menu! And, have the freedom to socialize and walk around however you wish. There would be a jukebox that would be playing music (via w2g/watch2gether) so that people can continue listening!
Here, we have an array of dining areas, a corner bar, and in an isolated area is a small stage for the mini-games, or to use for guests to entertain others. An important note, the stage will only open near closing-hours or mid-way through our opening to respect the people downstairs that are still in the booth and limit any disturbances that could sour one’s experience.
What’s the point of /mec and /itc in private booths when you’re going to have a main lounge where people chat and flood anyway? The point of sound-proof rooms is for damage control, if we don’t restrict people with /mec and /itc then it’d be very, very, very hard to keep track of chat AT ALL. With a plethora of people actioning out singing, or spamming the lyrics all at once. But, with the main lounge, we don’t expect a handful of people to sing nor spam chat with any lyrics at all!
But what if we want total quiet and peace? The Main Lounge is expected to be closed for the public for 20-45 minutes at the beginning of the shop’s opening. So that those who came early for the booths expecting total privacy can have that momentary peace to themselves.
MIni-games!
Singing Showdown
Bored, and want to challenge people to a singing showdown? Well you’re just at the right place!
Here in Seikatsu, you are free to challenge your friends, or the store staff! From waiters, to managers or even the shop-owner! You’ll be taken to the stage, and will have to pay a fee of 5,000 yen, however if you lose, you’ll have to pay an additional 3,000 yen.
The mini-game itself will contain a simple system, with a set of rules for you to follow, or.. You have the option to detail-out your actions instead if that is your preferred cup of tea. There will be different game-modes to compensate for flexibility, and you can even challenge them to a dance battle!
Both players MUST agree to the showdown, as the loser will get a pie to the face, or has to wear an embarrassing outfit from accessories to a full-on attire such a Hello Kitty onesie, to a maid outfit, cat ears or a fish hat, and so forth! Of course, these outfits will remain appropriate for everyone to wear. And people have every right to refuse the challenge. In addition, the winner gets a chance to gain a prized coupon, a discount, or a special item!
Sing-along to the top!
Upon the entry fee of 7,000 yen, people are free to enter the stage. Upon usage, they will be given a playlists of songs to choose from, and from there they will be given a set of rules, and instructions on how the game will function. Their objective is to get as many points as possible, and the guest must sing along to the music like Karaoke, depending on how many points they’ve gained, they will be given a surprise prize. Not the best at singing? Worry-not, we also have dancing alternatives as well, with a slightly different way to play the game!
Detail Roleplay-Version
Respectfully, to those that love to roleplay, and write, we have a separate mode, where their character’s actions will be judged by three store staff-members, although we don’t purely judge by writing but for the description of the performance. Though, we do appreciate some detail to further emphasize one’s talent in which they’ll gain more points, to avoid encouraging lazy writing like ‘She sang really good like Beyonce!’ And each judge will have to write a fair, and reasonable critique for the guest’s singing. If they have gained a sensible amount of points they will gain a prize!
Score Board!
In each month, we will have a list of people that have dedicated their time for these mini-games. All of their points that they have earned within that month will be merged, and their names will be displayed in a leaderboard by the front entrance, and beside the stage. They will also gain an honorary gift from the shop, as well as a title that they will be addressed as by our store staff for a whole month to pay respects for their efforts and dedication.
How will this work?
I would leave it to people’s interpretation of how they would like to enjoy roleplaying out singing, and going along with music. Some would like to detail-rp it, some would rather type out the lyrics word by word alongside the song, or test their luck through rolls. It’s absolutely up to the guest how they would like to enjoy themselves which is the fun part!
Although, we do provide a simple and constructive system as an option for people to choose if they’d like to use it or not!
How many employees do you plan to have?:
[1/1] The Shop Owner (ZackTimeKiller)
The Shop Owner takes full responsibility and accountability for how the store is run, and ensures the integrity of Seikatsu. Being a Shop-owner holds the burden of responsibility, and leadership in assuring that the Karaoke Bar maintains afloat.
[0/1] Owner Associate
Otherwise known as the co-owner of the shop. They assist in keeping-track of Seikatsu’s progress, the management and help the Karaoke Bar improve with fun ideas, or for an overall better experience alongside the Shop-Owner.
[0/2] Managers
Hence the name, they manage the bar, and assists in overseeing, and supervising both departments; waiters and bartenders. They ensure that everything is going accordingly well within Seikatsu, and that everyone is doing their job correctly. They keep-track of the employees, and if things go wrong, they report to the Owner Associate, or the Shop-Owner.
[0/14] Waitress/Waiters
The upfront runners that ensure that makes the Karaoke Bar run, their responsibility lies with their swift-duty to seat people, serve them food and assign them in booths, as well as creating w2gethers for their assigned rooms, and make sure the music is playing thoroughly for their assigned guests.
[0/7] Bartenders
The bartenders duties will remain within the bar, and their job is to serve people alcohol. Although, we encourage our bartenders to be social-people, so instead of sitting around and staring at a wall, they are free to talk, and entertain the guest as long as they are doing their job.
What are the main aesthetics?
A primarily rock-punk theme with some elements derived from steampunk. The palette will be overall dark, mixed with neon reds. With wall graffiti as the main decor, alongside a plethora of vinyls, posters and paintings relating to the theme! With some inspiration from steampunk, there will be iron pillars, with metal pipes, and a ton of rusted lanterns hanging across the ceiling, and so forth!
Our uniforms will also be heavily inspired by punk-rock. With our waiters/waitresses sporting leather jackets with a distinct patch-work that would help identify them. For our bartenders, it’d be a bit more formal; black button-up shirt with a red vest with distinct patchwork on the sleeve.
Note; The Images are used as a reference for the overall aesthetic, they are not representing any part of the building. Purely just its concept, and color palette to give you a rough idea of what I am aiming for.
