What's the title of your suggestion?: Volleyball - Single Participant

What's your suggestion?:
Let players practice alone on the volleyball courts!!! Serves are a crucial part of volleyball and having to learn them takes time. Having an opponent adds pressure and results in less time you can spend actually refining them. Additionally, being dependant on having someone available in general is something not everyone can count on. Make it so that a single player is all that's required to have the ball appear. This would also mean that both players have to step off the court to pause the game!

I have noticed this has been suggested in the past; having it so the volleyball courts will be active and all while only one person is on it - and I've seen it's also been rejected. But that was three years ago back when they were not looking to add it at the time. So! Have times changed? We can talk about that now.

How will this benefit the server and community?:
First of all, it goes without saying that being able to practice solo with hitting spikes would be beneficial to people looking to learn without the pressure of having someone present on the court with them (or relying on someone to be present in GENERAL).

But, a sleeper part of this suggestion comes from those plentiful moments where one player slightly steps off the court while trying to catch a shot and the entire plugin halts, with a point not being assigned to either player.

This is remedied by most players by forfeiting a point if they step off, but it's still something that's just - kind of silly. If it's a competitive match or a 3v3, it can be called out if it's abused - but for casual play and the likes, being able to actually slightly step out of bounds to catch those REALLY annoying shots that are on the VERY edge of the boundary line would be extremely helpful to most, I'm sure!

ball wouldn't poof in this situation unless all 3 players on 1 side all step off at the same time which is unlikely.

the problem of people stepping off in 1v1s isnt really super annoying or relevant, and like you mentioned; remedied with simple sportsmanship.

if you want to practice serves, the best way will always be to do it with a friend/opponent. a human opponent will teach you to serve WELL, not flashy. if you have a partner to play against you'll learn to serve "correctly" a lot faster. speaking from experience. if you really want to practice serves or spikes "by yourself" you can either invest in an alt account which many people already have or by asking someone near the courts if they want to help you. who knows, maybe they can give you some feedback too!

gonna be a -1 from me though
