Describe your activity on the server:
After taking a break from SRP to focus on school, I returned in August last year. Since then, my activity has been similar to the time I used to play back in 2020-2022. Prior to my rejoining, I had been heavily engaged in both the school and EMS faction. I have been captain of a team twice, and have also been a psychiatrist; these roles allowed me to learn more about detailRP and how to easily engage with other players, meeting them wherever they may be. Since rejoining I have been on both bobcat and spartan cheer which has helped me grow both my writing and my character. These days I spend my time developing my character, writing lore, and coming up with good plotlines for my friends' enjoyment. I’m looking for another outlet to meet new people and diversify my roleplay outside of the sports faction that I’ve been in for so long!

(Note: I will be inactive from 10/14-10/20, taking care of my mother who just had surgery.)

List your accounts and roles on this server:
rslyn - Adult, College B, College M, Highschool 12

Are you aware that inactivity can result in removal from the council?:
Yes, I am aware that inactivity may result in removal.

TRIVIA QUESTIONS

What is the student council and what do they do?:
The student council maintains order over the school and its respective students. Their purpose is to act as guard rails, keeping students in line so that their futures remain intact. The council’s duties vary from monitoring students around campus, to de-escalating situations that may be dire. You can normally find them stepping into the shoes of faculty and patrolling the school, ensuring a safe environment.

What motivated you to apply for council? (e.g. Interests, friends, etc.):
Having been involved in the sports faction for so long, I am looking for a change where I can still open myself up to new roleplay experiences outside of jockrp. Unsure of which route to pick, one of my friends suggested that council would be a perfect fit for both myself and my character. The various new opportunities for roleplay that the council offers excite me. Lastly, I have planned many events during my time as both captain, and on the build team; it was something I thoroughly enjoyed and it excites me that I will have more opportunities to do so on council. Also, I am applying with my friends which is also a big reason!

Are you aware that you’ll be having to use your creativity and teamwork ethic within the student council? (e.g. Coming up and helping with events):
I absolutely understand the importance of creativity and teamwork on the student council. Having been a player on the server since December of 2020, I have taken part in many school events. With that said, I’ve learned a lot about what players feel are lacking, especially the sports faction. During my time as co- captain for bobcat cheer, I planned many events for both my team and others. This, in combination with my other experiences on community teams has helped me learn the ins and outs of teamwork in relation to events.

Can you list the roles in the council along with other roles that might be important to the council?:

President: The role of the president for both high school and college is very important. They oversee the rest of their respective council, maintaining order in a polite and respectable manner. Presidents are eye-catchers who maintain the balance, even over those in the council who share that job with the normal students.
Vice-President: The vice-presidents are similar to that of a co-captain. They offer support to the president in their pursuits of leadership. In times of need they may need to step into a higher position in order to handle situations in the absence of the president.
Councilor: Under both the president and vice-president, these members make up the rest of the student council. Their job is creating a safe environment for students while keeping an eye out for rule breaking and unacceptable behaviour.

IC SECTION
SCENARIOS

While students gather for a school assembly, one student behaves disruptively, /causing a disturbance. How would you manage the situation to restore order effectively while minimizing any additional disruptions to the assembly?

“I always try to assume the best intent from people, but assemblies can get rowdy pretty quick. I’d first assess the situation at hand and what I need to do in order to de-escalate whatever is happening.” Thinking back, the young woman couldn’t remember the last assembly she had attended, only how loud it was. “They can be overstimulating, so I’d start with a verbal warning to stop.” What a drag. “If they don’t listen I’d pull them aside and figure out what the problem is. If it involves other people I will pull them too, however I’d make sure to not escalate it in order to keep peace for the assembly.” Is there ever peace at an assembly to begin with? “Anywho! If push comes to shove, I’ll offer them detention since they’ve already gotten their warning.” Pondering what else could be done, a question slipped from her tongue. “Has anyone thought of having a security officer here?”

A student refuses to take their mask off after you’ve brought up detention and they’ve run away! What do you do?

“Well I’m not risking a broken heel for a mere simple chase. . that would be insanity.” Repoza only risked such if she was running from people, not after. Avoidants, right? “I’d tell the other councilors to keep an eye out for a student running around in a mask, just so that it’s on their radar.” A brief pause, as she pondered whether or not that was a good answer. “I mean, if I saw the student before they took off the mask? They’d get an intercom to come down to the office. Which- nobody likes the feeling of that.” War flashbacks played like a reel through her mind for a moment. “I can’t count the number of times that my heart has sunk hearing my name or my old team called down there.”

A teacher observes concerning behavior from a student, including the creation of disturbing artwork and verbal threats toward peers. How would you collaborate with the teacher to evaluate the situation and intervene appropriately to address potential safety concerns?

“Disturbing artwork. . verbal threats? Must be a bobcat.” A brief side eye was given to the camera.. Breaking the fourth wall? “First, I’d go check with the teacher to see what they need from me. I mean, some teachers can handle situations by themselves and some need backup from time to time.. No?” The young woman’s brows narrowed for a moment. “Once we’ve gotten clarity on the situation, I would tell the student that they are on thin ice.” After all, reality checks are a specialty of hers. “A lot of people have low IQ, so. . is that too mean to say? Wait, just scrap that.” Clearing her throat, the young woman clarified. “There are just some people that struggle with critical thinking. If there’s a safety concern then it may take a few more people to be involved, though I’d make sure that they know they’re talking to adults. . scary!”

A group of students asks for your permission to stage a protest on school grounds. Would you allow them to protest? If so, how do you ensure that the protest does not disrupt the school environment while upholding their freedom of expression?

“Am I talking to Cindy Wong? No? Got it. Well, in that case… Not that it would matter if it was Cindy anyways. .” Surely she wasn’t biased, right? It’s not her fault that Wong can rally. “I would gather all possible information regarding the topic of the protest, taking note of subject, time, place, mediums.. all of it. From there I will explain the importance of maintaining peace and quiet, so no yelling. . . and explain that if it does happen to escalate, it may fall on the said student.” A look she’d be sure to make clear that student or group does not want. “Anywho! If it was serious enough, I would run it by SLT and see if they have any insights depending on how big the event may be.”

A teacher/receptionist has told you that you are doing something that goes against what you were trained by your higher-ups. How would you react to this?
“I mean, I don’t believe that anyone likes being told that they’re doing something wrong. . especially when you’re so good at everything else.” Was it ego speaking? Perhaps.. “However. . I’d make sure to take their words as constructive criticism rather than a judgement.” Being in sports for so long, the young woman's skin was thick enough to handle them regardless. “I’d explain that I was trained a different way or was under a different assumption. I won’t be offended or anything, I’d just use the conversation to do better in the future. Easy!”

Please provide at least one detailed event that the council can use as a future event to showcase your creativity! (Must be 300 words or more for one event):

Teams Trivia Night

The student council would host an exciting Trivia Night featuring questions about Karakura’s history, school rules, past tournament details and dates, former captains, and even SLT members' favorite colors, clubs lore—just to name a few topics! Students will have plenty of notice to prepare, with hints and freebie questions shared in advance to help them study. Each question would carry a point value, and teams will compete to hit the buzzer (determined by rolling the highest number) within a set time limit.

To keep the event organized, participants would register with their teams - whether they’re Bobcats or Spartans. After registering, teams would face off in a friendly yet competitive atmosphere. Points would be tallied per team, with a Bobcat winner and a Spartan winner crowned based on the total amount of points. However, the ultimate rivalry heats up when the total points of all Bobcat and Spartan teams are combined to determine the true overall victor. What better way to fuel some school spirit and healthy competition?

Team names and colors would also be allotted to each team. This would offer a fun topic for teams to discuss in regard to their name and color. If a team is not able to dress to impress(in their respective color), an outfit will be provided if asked. This just adds one more fun little element to make the event truly memorable for the jocks. Team bonding is extremely important around this time of year when people begin to struggle with motivation, so I believe this would bring everyone together.

This event would allow for the students on team to interact with other people outside of the jock scene. The questions that would be put out in advance requires the students to reach out to club-members, SLT, faculty, maidens, police, and doctors. It would almost act as an “information” scavenger hunt. This opportunity would allow for them to branch out from their typical interactions and involve them in other places in town. Not only would this be great representation for the school, but it would also boost morale in the students as they work together with their teams to win the trophy(?). Additionally, this builds the bonds of bobcat/spartan teams in the sense of sharing information in order to win the real prize.

The idea of broadcasting this event piques my interest. I fear that having spectators would make it extremely hard to understand what is happening with all the extra voices, however, I think that other students being able to watch could be fun. I’m unsure if it is allowed, but back in the day there were commentators for tournaments and I think that something like that could be great!

This event could be adapted to fit more students than just the sports teams as it has lots of flex.

Kyoto Garden Dance Mystery - The Missing Scroll

Event Flow

Arrival and Welcome

Guests will enter through a bamboo archway lit with floating lanterns, greeted by calming flute music. They will receive a personalized "investigator's notebook" containing the event backstory, rules, and space to write down clues. As people arrive, soft traditional music lets peers mingle and dance under a canopy of lanterns while students gather. There will be a mocktail bar serving drinks and traditional food for students. Once enough students have gathered, the host will gather everyone near the stage to welcome everybody and take an SLT’s offering of the ‘ceremonial Sake’ (not to be drunk). A few moments later they will announce the theft of a sacred scroll. Moments later, the "keeper of the scroll" is dramatically discovered lifeless (a staged scene played by a participant or volunteer). Students will then be instructed to search the school for clues to solve both the murder and the scroll's theft.

Roles and Characters

The Host: Ring leader and instructor of events/students. (???)
The Keeper of the Scroll: Victim whose murder sparks the investigation.(???)
The Thief: Stole the scroll but did not kill the keeper. (???)
The Murderer: Killed the keeper and tried to frame the thief. (???)
Red Herrings: Other characters with motives (e.g., a co-worker, vice-principal, teammate). (???)

The Mystery

These clues will be scattered across multiple different parts of the school. Normally dances are contained to the gym, but in this case students will have to roam the entire school grounds in order to find answers. (Council members will be present for /its if needed)

The pond outside of the gym: Students must delicately retrieve an origami lotus floating in the water. Inside is a cryptic message offering a location(green house) hint.

HINT:
Captivating in its bright glow
It shines through each translucent wall
Giving life to fauna of all kinds
Where the light meets glass to grow
There, is where you will find answers

The green house: Once students have found the first clue they will find themselves at the green house. It is there that they will find two things: One, a traditional haiku. Two, a clue to who “murdered” the keeper.

HAIKU:
Where power is held
In rooms that hold dark secrets
Your answer is there

CLUE:
An identifiable piece of clothing, hair, etc. of whoever the “murderer” volunteer is.

3.Donny Ark’s Office: There are mysterious red footprints (large enough to be a grown man) leading in and out of Ark’s office. The footprints are inconsistent with the "prime suspect" (a red herring), leading students to question their assumptions. However, the real clue is a note on the desk.

NOTE:
Your answer is on one of the lanterns.

4. Track field: Participants will search amongst the MANY floating lanterns in an attempt to find the correct note that reads:

NOTE:
The final piece lies where spirits meet. The sacred bottle holds the key.

5. The gym: The students will have to remember the ceremonial Sake bottle held by the host in order to find the answer. They will find her standing at the stage, where she remained, waiting. When they ask her for the bottle, she will hand it to them. Inside, a note, revealing the thieves identity.

From there - Students must use the evidence they collected (e.g., footprints, haikus, hidden notes) to deduce the answers: The thief stole the scroll for its power but did not commit the murder, The murderer is someone who wanted to frame the thief for their own motives (e.g., revenge, jealousy). After a certain amount of time the host will dramatically reveal the thief and murderer to everyone, explaining how the clues led to their identities. Winners (the person/group that solved both parts of the mystery first or most accurately) receive prizes!

Prizes

Best Detective: For solving both the theft and the murder.
Best Costume: For the guest with the most creative or authentic Japanese-inspired outfit.
Participation Awards: Small keepsakes like lanterns or traditional items.

Then, the dance will resume with celebratory music under the lantern-lit garden. There are many opportunities for students to explore booths that offer photos, serve food, etc. Additionally, it may be neat for the cheer team to perform a Shibu (fan dance) as the event is heavily rooted in Japan's cultures. Having a dance that integrates both culture and lore is a gap that I see and I think that this event would allow for a bridge to cover that disparity.

Personal Information
(in character)

Name:
Ella Repoza

Gender:
Female

Age:
19

Phone number:
(030)-799-1042

How would you describe your personality?:

“My personality. .” Gears turned as the long list of names she’s been labelled fell before her. “Headstrong, stubborn. . a leader. I mean I've been described by many different things before, being a jock in the past and all.” Fleeting, a sigh escaped her as she continued. “To the people I care about? Kind, loyal, honest- most of the time at least. I believe that I put my everything into whatever endeavor I am pursuing, strong-willed.” Repoza’s eye’s flickered for a moment as she pondered... Was it just for dramatic effect? “Ya’ know, being in the sports scene for so long meant that there wasn’t really a way to avoid my personality as both the good and bad were always topics of conversations. I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’m not just one of the cheerleaders whose heads are up in the clouds- or wasn’t! People assume that all cheerleaders fit the stereotype- which. . . some do, however the people that know me are aware I never fit into that category.” Stifling a laugh, thoughts traversed her mind before she looked up with a beaming smile. “To me? I believe that my name carries its status for a reason. When people need something fixed, they can consider it handled.”

Appearance/attire (Please provide a picture):

What separates you from other applicants seeking your position?:

“Honestly? I have the backbone for it.” Confidence radiated from her as she cleared her throat. “It takes thick skin to be able to resolve issues, especially when they involve teams who can cause some of the biggest scenes. That being said.. I used to be involved. .” A brief pause as she wondered how important it would be to admit that she still is. “Involved in those scenes, fights and everything else. I have a unique perspective in the sense that I’ve been both a bobcat and spartan cheerleader.” A warm smile swept across her features as she thought about such. “We got into worlds of trouble, and for that reason I know just what jocks and even delinquents want to hear from a councilor. It’s all in the approach, ya’ know?” They know. . . “Also. . I have connections everywhere so the likelihood that I am handling a situation with people I know is pretty high. That being said, I can easily diffuse the situation in a way that isn’t just someone randomly telling you to stop, ya’ know?” Manipulative? Well, she’d never admit that if it were!

Why do you want this position?:

“To prove something. I’ve been a cheerleader for so long that people still associate me with that. I held a leadership role as co-captain when I was on bobcat cheer, however people still haven’t seen my full ability to lead.” A few instances came to mind, though she kept those to herself as she continued. “This position allows me to see the other side of the school that I’ve only ever seen from afar. In truth, the majority of the fights I see are between students who are struggling and have more important things going on than winning or losing a tournament.” Repoza’s pointer fell to her chin, deep in thought. “I guess I want to help them, ya’ know? Be someone that they can count on if they have a problem? The school is a lot bigger than just teams and I want to be more involved with that side that doesn’t get talked about as much.”

What interests you the most about student council?:

“Maintaining order. I can’t stay in college forever.” A momentary laugh escaped her as the irony of those words sunk in. “I’m currently studying law so that when I graduate I can become a lawyer. Having the opportunity to join the student council would allow me to not only add to my resume but gain the experience that would be required for that job.” Well a girl can dream, right? “I mean.. My backup is joining the KPD. . so!!” Hands clasped together as she took on a 100 yard stare. “There’s that.” Facing her fear of the KPD? Not the ideal option.

What could you contribute to make the school a safe and fun environment?:

“I mean, how much time do you have?” A dry laugh filled the space for a moment before she continued. “No but really, I have the patience of a saint- which? Not a lot of people can say, ya’ know? I’ve also been around long enough to know the ins and outs of this school, so any situation I can handle easily. If not? I have connections with quite a bit of faculty if a situation reaches out of my hands- but don’t worry. I don’t see that happening!” Repoza’s hands fell to the table as a smile radiated from her features.
