List your current and past IC/OOC faction applications:

What is your motivation for applying?:
Previously I was a professor for culinary but I decided it was time for a change, I wanted to try something very new, something I have never done before and apply for KPD. I like the thought of bringing criminals to justice and making the town a more calm and more peaceful place ICly. My character is a peaceful person and he doesn't like the fact that Karakura is full of many dangerous criminals, he wants to be able to stop that and protect his town.

What knowledge do you have of Police Work?
Mugshots
Mugshots are to be taken of prisoners to log information, it is also shown publicly so everyone can see it and are made aware of the criminal. Mugshots are to keep a record of the criminal, the information used will be their IGN, RP name and why they were arrested.

Patrols
Patrolling is when multiple police officers look around the town, searching for any criminal activity, such as J-Walking, Weaponary, Violence, etc. When patrolling at times searches will happen, if townsfolk have items such as weapons, masks that hide their identity, or have been accused of criminal activity.

Raids
Raids happen when a person is accused of having illegal items such as underage drinking, weapons, stolen items, kidnapping and other illegal things. A group of multiple officers will be made to wear riot gear, involving a shield, they would break into the accused person's house, if anyone was in there they would have to be cuffed if they have any illegal items, or they would be sent out the house for questioning whilst officers were searching the house.

CCTV
CCTV is used to catch any form of criminal activity, such as gang meets, attacks, or any form of illegal activity. If a person is accused of any of these things, a cop is obligated to watch the CCTV for any sort of proof, they will keep an eye for any sort of identification, such as unique features like clothing, tattoos, etc.

The Equipment

Taser

A taser is used to apprehend a person disagreeing with instructions or trying to cause violence after being tased a cop will hold down the criminal to cuff them until further actions happen such as an arrest.

Radio
Radios are used to communicate with fellow officers and EMS, they can be used to inform of an incident involving a harmed person or they can be to request backup in a criminal situation. There is something called a Code-0, in short, it is a panic button, it can be used to quickly request backup if you could be harmed.

Handcuffs
Handcuffs are used to arrest a criminal they are locked onto the criminal's wrist, and then they will be escorted to a prison cell, to then soon be questioned on the current incident. They can also be used to temporarily keep the criminal from causing any mischief.

Baton
A baton is much like a bat, it is used to knock out [KO] a criminal, they have a 2-block range, which is smaller than a regular bat, this is the only item that is able to be mugged from a police officer.

Uniform
All KPD members are acquired to wear a uniform, this is to show they are an officer on duty. Some officers will wear different uniforms depending on the police rank.

Glock-17
This item is only given to higher-ranked officers, it is used to shoot criminals to slow them down or to shoot them down.

Why is Police important to SchoolRP?
Police are important to Karakura due to the fact they protect and serve the city. They keep criminals away and they protect anyone at all costs. They confiscate dangerous or illegal items from people and they search anyone who is experiencing any risky or dangerous behaviour or actions.

BACKSTORY (100+ words)

Childhood

Aoi was born in a small town in England/Britain with his Mother, Father. Aoi was born female, originally named Bailee. Aoi was a very slow learner and struggled to learn basic child skills due to the neglect of his parents. He had parents who were alcoholics and almost always abused drugs, they were always high or drunk, so Aoi did not form a strong bond with either one of his parents, causing him to grow into his teenage years without a friend, developing a fear of growing attached to people and a fear of abandonment.

Pre-Teen Years
Aoi grew up to be an antisocial, shy and timid teen, as he reached the age of 15, he realised he was not like most girls his age. Over time Aoi came across a book that taught him about the LGBTQIA+ Community, and this made him come to the realisation he was Transgender. On that day he spoke to his parents about it, but little did he know, they were strongly against it, this caused Aoi's parents to lash out at him, resulting in strong emotional and physical abuse. Locking him in his room at night, sometimes leaving him there for days without any food. They would sometimes even burn him with cigarettes and throw alcohol bottles at him, then leave him there to die without a care in the world.

As years passed, Kumiko, Aoi's friend he had met during school, grew a strong concern for Aoi. She confronted Aoi's parents about it, lashing out at them and telling them that they should be more accepting. This led to Kumiko also being physically assaulted for disagreeing with Aoi's parents' opinions and beliefs. It was the time they both finally had enough, Kumiko explained to Aoi she had no family, her parents who adopted her at the time were no good, so she ran away from home, she had nothing else to lose and neither did Aoi anymore so they got up and packed their things and ran away as their parents slept, moving away far to Japan. Kumiko and Aoi were homeless for a few months, eventually being taken in by the Quinn family. Both of them were quite traumatized and grew strong attachment and abandonment PTSD due to both of their families practically disowning them. Over time they were both diagnosed with BPD/Borderline Personality Disorder.

What should you do if you see your co-worker being assaulted?
I would quickly contact for backup on my radio, and if I can possible I would tase the criminal assaulting the co-worker, apprehending them until other cops would show up.

What do you do if you find out that your co-worker is corrupt and is helping criminal organizations?
I would try to find ICly proof, providing it to a higher-up, and informing them of the actions the co-worker is doing.

How would you react to a criminal trying to bribe you?
I would take no notice, continuing to act as professionally as possible, ignoring any sort of bribery thrown my way, I would stick to my task which was taking down the criminal and finding out the evidence I need for the situation.

DENIED
After having carefully reviewed your applications, the higher-up team
has decided to unfortunately deny your application to join our faction.

We appreciate your efforts and your motivation to join our faction, but
we have made this decision based on the following reason(s)

COMPETITION
-
Due to the vast amount of applicants that try their best to get into the
faction, we sometimes have to deny good applicants because there are
others that have been deemed as better choices, whether it's due to
server reputation or due to the detail that was put to their application.

REPUTATION
- A decisive factor that influences our decision is server reputation. We tend
to pick players who have been in the server for a while, and that have a
relatively clean history. We suggest applying for other factions / community
teams to improve how other players see you and boost your chances at
becoming part of our faction!
