What are your current roles on the server?:
Moxie Sang-eo-Toriyama | Grade 12
Lilly Genet-Valentine | Grade 12

Why are Teachers so important to SchoolRP?:
Teachers in SRP play a very crucial role when it comes down to the main base and reason for playing the game. Teachers are the reason why classes are hosted and how the school functions every weekday when school occurs. Teachers also help the school function and maintain a safe environment for all the students and faculty. Teachers also monitor hallways, classrooms, or anywhere on the school property during school hours. Teachers are also meant to give out detentions to individuals breaking the rules and regulations of the school and handling reports from other students about said rule-breakers. (This differs from school-based rules and actual server-based rules) Most importantly, teachers are responsible for hosting a certain amount of classes each month per their quota while planning lessons and classes depending on their subject. Teachers go up from the ranks as they progress depending on if they have proven themselves to be trustworthy and responsible teachers, this can depend on the amount of classes they host and their general knowledge of being a teacher overall. Teachers are really important mainly because this place is SchoolRP, as said in the name of the server, teachers are a very big factor in keeping a school, well, a school! They are also tasked to simply teach students about their chosen subject according to what they applied for, using lesson plans, field trips, and lectures. As teachers, they can learn or already understand being responsible considering the large number of high schoolers that go around the school every day. Overall, teachers are some of the most important rules suggesting the main base of being in the SchoolRP server as told by the reasons above.

Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you may lose your role?: Yes
Do you agree to undergo teacher training if your application is successful?: Yes

In-Character Section

What's your character's full name?: Moxie Sang-eo-Toriyama
What is your character's nationality?: Japanese-American
What is your preferred subject to teach?: Performing Arts (Drama)

Describe your character:
download (9).png
"Moxie, a 5'6 female of 135 pounds has a natural hair color of brown with some dyed parts blonde. Her style generally consists of basic clothing of sweatpants, a T-shirt, and a brown hoodie. Despite her grumpy and deeper-sounding voice, she has a very kind and respectful heart for those around her."

Moxie typically has the smell of basic roses, her hair is very soft and silky to where she admires her hair sometimes. Her skin also follows a slightly lighter-white kind of color but is also very smooth and nice. This simply proves Moxie takes care of her body and skin as well as her well-being. She has an overall chill and laid-back personality but it doesn't stop her from strictly enforcing rules or tasks onto others if she needs to.

Despite Moxie's slightly challenging past, she aims to maintain her overall respective and responsible attitude toward other students and the people around her. Moxie tends not to talk much when around people she doesn't know but when she gets to know them she's a big chatterbox. Though she didn't seem that intimidating on the outside (nor the inside really), she can still be strict and on-task when she's passionate about completing or dealing with something. Moxie has been very passionate about acting and drama, she aims to express herself through acting and improvisation.

No matter who Moxie is around, whether it be other students, teachers, adults, etc. she has the same personality and view of them as a human being. Moxie has a strong belief in others being able to express themselves and move out of their shell. She aims to push people outside their comfort zone to their liking without pressuring them to do certain things. She knows the appropriate place and time to do things when she is passionate about getting something done and done when asked to. Moxie gives advice based on things that she remembers learning from her mother about things like teaching, acting, and conversations. She isn't afraid to answer questions nor is she afraid to ask them.

Moxie's past has taught her a lot of things, like being patient, responsible with her belongings and people, and knowing what she wants to be in the future. Moxie's future holds a lot for her, and she wishes to progress with this future by becoming an inspiring drama teacher. She has taken drama classes as a student and believes she has done well in those classes. She has participated in tasks and opportunities to act in front of other people and use her improvisation skills to express herself whether it be embarrassing or not.

What is your character's outlook on students and co-workers?:
Moxie has the same outlook on everyone she is around, whether it be her co-workers, students, or people who work or have a residence outside of the school. Her overall outlook on any individual she speaks to is very kind despite her seemingly grumpy outside, and she can converse well with people as long as she knows what she is talking about. Despite her kind attitude towards other people, she is strict in making sure things get done and done appropriately. Even though people have not done the... most responsible things around and at Moxie, no matter what happens she hopes to maintain the same outlook she has on any individual and person she passes by, has a conversation with, or maybe is friends with. She lacks favoritism and views everyone as the same person no matter who it is. Her main goal when she is with other people is to treat them all the same no matter how they treat her.
Moxie has the understanding that not everyone needs to be nice to her, and she doesn't necessarily have to be the nicest to everyone as well. She focuses on being real with one another and stating the truth rather than putting a fictional mask on. All she's looking to do is be able to simply exist with those around her even if they don't have to speak or be in cahoots. She comes home at the end of the day without the silent judging of the other students or faculty after a school day or just hanging out around the city.

What is your character's motivation for teaching?:
Moxie's motivation for becoming a Drama Teacher stems from her mother's past teaching experience as a Physical Education teacher. Her mother used to teach her about teaching classes and handling students in general whether it be in or out of classes. Moxie grew up with being able to see and know people with a variety of personalities which helped her know how to act certain characters or attitudes. Moxie is very passionate about being able to help others move out of their shell and express who they are in the world of drama and what it offers. Moxie was taught by her mother certain techniques for teaching and helping other people learn.
Moxie knows how big the school can get, following how chaotic it can be at times, with students breaking the rules, getting in fights, etc. She hopes to help the school maintain a safe environment for all the students and faculty. Like any other normal person, Moxie does have her own life outside of school and she uses the money from her job or other occupations to pay for her residency and any other health or required needs to live. Becoming a teacher allows Moxie to gain the opportunity to know other students and make interactions that help her grow mentally. She wants to be able to teach students about her passion and understanding of drama and acting in words that they can understand. Seeing how those of younger generations of her own still may have developing brains, she is willing to teach them more about creativity and coming out of that comfort zone and pressuring them to do the things they want to do.
Moxie looks to do more than simple lectures and lesson plans. She hopes to create that environment around other people that makes them feel belonged and are willing to do things as they wish. Moxie is very outgoing and loud (not literally) about the things she is passionate about, but she is looking for other people to be passionate about what they want to do. Regardless of what other people want to do, Moxie is willing to express her knowledge about drama to the people around her whether they are passionate about it themselves or not, simply just to give them the understanding of being themselves or going major and doing improvisation and acting themselves.

Roleplay Scenarios

A student in class is struggling to understand the content, what would your character do?:
Moxie would approach the individual maintaining her kind and strict personality. She would ask the individual about what they're stuck on. Once they state it, Moxie would look at what they may be stuck or need assistance on and explain what she knows to the students to help them learn more about what they are stuck on. She would explain to the students in words that they can understand and comprehend to move on further with the content. Moxie is a very patient and understanding person, meaning that no matter how stuck the student is, she is willing to help them in any way possible until they can understand and master the content. Moxie will use visuals, explanations, or simple short lectures that the student can understand to help them learn more about the content they are stuck on. Moxie will also use the assistance of videos or other visuals or even students who can help the confused student know more about the subject and the stuff they are learning. No matter how long it takes, Moxie wants to ensure that the student is gaining knowledge about the content they are stuck on until they are no longer stuck on it and can move on with the content and the subject.

A student is continuously being disruptive in class, talking out of turn, and making jokes with classmates. What would your character do?:
Even though Moxie is overall pretty laid-back and chill with her students, she is strict and sometimes intimidating when people decide to be inappropriate and disruptive in her classroom. If she spots another student being disruptive, whether it be talking with other students, walking around the class and not taking a seat, or talking and yelling out of hand, she will leave them off with a simple warning first. This will go along the lines of, "Hey, [NAME], quit talking, please." This can depend on the student's offenses. If it's simple minor offenses like the things stated above, then they will be let off with a verbal warning. If they continue such offenses or similar offenses, they will be removed from the class and potentially detention if they decide to continue one way or the other. If the student's offenses are major or big, (this can be from breaking multiple school rules inside the classroom, throwing stuff around, yelling, or overall things they know they're not supposed to do) they will be dealt with by being removed from the classroom and given a detention if they continue with said offenses one way or the other without verbal warning. There are multiple types of disruptions if the student is starting to take things out of hand, like arguing with students without reason or causing drama (in the wrong type of way) in class, Moxie would prevent the student from going any further with their actions and immediately issue them with a potential detention. If they continue their behavior, SLT may be contacted depending on the offenses. (this may also depend on what grade they are and if they are new to the server or not. If they are new to the server, I will give them an explanation of the appropriate things to do in class through LOOC or DMs if necessary to ensure they are following the server rules)

Provide at least 2 interactive class ideas related to your preferred subject:
1. Self-Character Development Improvisation
The lesson primarily focuses on developing fictional but realistic characters of the student's choosing. The lesson allows students to learn more about developing their character and expressing certain personalities through acting and improvisation acts. Students will be taught the art of being able to act in different attitudes and personalities using a completely fictional character to their liking as long as it's human, realistic, and appropriate. The lesson plans and the unit will also focus on being able to develop these characters over time rather than finalizing them as soon as they are created. Students will use these characters to act in improvisation scenes and small games. They will be tasked and graded on whether they used their time to develop these characters wisely and appropriately and if they were able to participate during the lesson one way or the other. Sometimes, these lessons will just be for learning and fun without a grade, but rather to help students only feel pressured to come out of their shells without being required to do it for a grade.

2. Basic Act Planning & Scripts
This lesson will focus on students being able to act according to a script or guide rather than improvising. The lesson will only be based on small acts and scripts and memorization. In graded assignments and tasks, students are not being graded or reviewed on their memory but rather on their ability to act according to the script and understand what they are doing over time. Students may be put in pairs or groups during these lessons and act out a scene to help them act with one another and to help them bond and exist together as individuals and people. Students will not be forced or excessively pressured to do lessons like this, but it allows them to understand drama and scripts, where to be on a stage, and how to express themselves through personalities they may not have been through or experienced before. Students may be tasked to look over scripts and plan what they are going to do before actually going up onto the stage and performing it. These lessons may also sometimes focus on students writing down an assignment to do in class about their knowledge and what they have been taught in drama and act planning.

3. The Task of Participation
As told in the lesson's general idea, the lesson primarily focuses on simple participation in the lessons. Students will typically be graded based on their participation in class if they are willing to do things considering the class they have joined. This may depend on whether they cooperate according to the instructions and try to do something rather than doing nothing all period. This will not normally be stated as an assignment to the students to make them feel pressured to do it for a grade. It is a simple method to allow students to participate in games and acting lessons during class without being pressured into doing it for a grade.

The general idea of lessons like these is to make interactions with students and the teacher herself, allowing more bonding and education based on performing and doing art as they wish and to their best liking. Sometimes these lessons will NOT be graded but a lot of the time they will still be graded based on cooperation and class participation.
