Just like everyone else, I do have a life outside of the server. However, this isn’t to say I am not active! I use a majority of my free time online. SRP has always been something I am passionate about, given that I have been a longtime player.
At this moment in my life, I am working on moving out! (HOORAYY!!) As exciting as that is for me, all great things come with time and patience, so this will not be something I have to worry about taking up too much of my time right now.
My current schedule starts in the afternoons, as I am a super big night owl. Oops. This means you will usually see me around 3-4pm EST.
Naturally, if anything were to come up in my life where I am certain I will not be able to dedicate time towards reaching quota or so on, I will use the inactivity channel as required.

Why do you want to become a Shopkeeper?:
This would not be my first time working as a shopkeeper if I were accepted. In the past, I owned a shop called Shizukesa! It was an Asian bistro, more on the classy side of things. However, during that time, I wasn’t able to keep the player base intrigued with what I had to offer in terms of items. Now, this wasn’t to say that I didn’t enjoy my time in this role; in fact, I had made many happy memories and met many amazing people. Toward the end of it all, I had grown a bit burnt out and unmotivated due to my inability to bring in new items and keep others interested. As of right now, I have the ability to get the items I want for my shop and pursue a path I wished to take all that time ago.
There is much more to it than that, though. I have come to understand that what most people in the community wish for is a way for their characters to express themselves freely in terms of appearance! Piercing set customs have been a popular item for years now, but there isn’t always the perfect set to match your character the way you probably wished it would. Either the colors clash with your character's skin tone or hair color, or they lack the things that would match their aesthetic. This is something I have noticed not only in others but in myself as well. I also understand that not everyone has the funds or ability to purchase custom items within the server, which can make it all the more frustrating to find something for your character to wear that actually suits them. I want to be able to fix that! I am aware that there is currently a piercing parlor within the shop roster, owned by a friend of mine. However, whilst he leans more toward the ‘edgier’ side of things, I wish to lean more toward the ‘classy’ or ‘casual’ side. I will refrain from spoiling too much here, so I hope you will understand what I am talking about further into my application!

I mentioned it briefly in my response above, but I wish to run a high-end jewelry store. I want it to feel as though you are walking into a very, very expensive place, surrounded by very beautiful pieces of jewelry. From earrings to watches to traditional hairpins. These items will be listed in more detail the further you look into my application, of course.
Now, what makes it unique? Well, there are many things I would love to do with my shop! First, starting with things you are able to go about In Character.
- Custom Jewelry: The ability to ICly go to my shopkeeper or workers and roleplay either ordering custom-made pieces or making them themselves to make it feel all the more special.
I cannot speak for everyone, but when it comes to jewelry, I put a LOT of thought into it. I try to make sure every piece has significance to my character. This will allow others to do the same, whether for their own character, their character's friends, or their character's love interest. I mean, who wouldn’t want a custom engagement ring, am I right?
After the process is complete, I intend to have fully written documentation of the jewelry made as well. The items listed in the document are an invoice, a gemological certificate, an appraisal document, a design rendering, and a warranty. It may seem like something a bit over the top, but that is my goal! I want it to feel as legitimate as possible to really immerse people in their roleplay.

Invoice - The foundational document detailing the exact metal, gold karat, ring size, and carat/clarity of the stones, as well as the price paid. So basically a super fancy receipt!
Gemological Certificate - This is an official document issued by a gemological laboratory that details a stone’s exact physical and optical characteristics, authenticity, and quality, serving as a ‘fingerprint’ for the diamonds or gemstones used in the piece of jewelry.
Appraisal Document - An officially written report prepared by a certified appraiser that verifies the identity, material quality, and monetary value of a piece of jewelry. It is used for the item's insurance coverage, estate planning, or resale! Along with this, a jewelry appraiser can help evaluate the authenticity, era, and financial value of family heirlooms for insurance, legal, or resale purposes.

- Zhēn ài Rings (Darry Ring): If you are unfamiliar with what a Darry Ring is, it is an ID-verified jewelry brand that requires buyers to sign a ‘True Love Agreement,’ meaning a person can only ever purchase a SINGLE engagement ring for one recipient in their entire lifetime. The name of your partner will forever be bound to yours in their system. I think this idea is SO INTERESTING and would LOVE to implement it in game. Not only do I think it can spice up your roleplay, but I also just think it could be funny..! Naturally, I would call it something else, so I came up with the name ‘Zhēn ài Ring’. Zhēn ài, which translates to ‘true love’ or ‘to cherish/treasure’.

Whilst I do want my shop's main theme to remain centered on Japanese and Chinese jewelry, I eventually plan to offer an assortment of jewelry from around the world, representing many different countries and cultures!

Silver tresses cascaded down her back, swaying just above her ankles with each careful step. Her eyes, faded in color, were framed by long silver lashes. She was soft-spoken, her voice just barely above a whisper, her tone almost always lacking emotion. The majority of the time, you’d catch her with her head in the clouds, envisioning herself anywhere other than where she stood.
