Why are Teachers so important to SchoolRP?:
The role of ‘Teacher’ has a very large impact on the server, not only serving as the foundation of the server, but as a foundation to the realism found inside the roleplay, they engage and influence characters, educating them on new topics, and increasing the students' knowledge. Teachers serve a vital importance by presenting themselves as a role-model to students, holding themselves respectfully as to lead by example. They serve to educate a new generation, and prepare them for the outside world. They not only educate them in the classroom, but prepare them to face difficult challenges they may stumble upon in the world. Teachers play a very important part of a students life, perhaps as the one person they can look to for good advice, or someone they can depend on to always have an open ear, or maybe even as someone they can trust will always have their back. Students look to teachers not only to educate, but serve as guidance. It is an educator's responsibility to ensure each student is handled in a way that best suits them, whether that be hands on, visual, or audial. Teachers may use different methods to try and connect with the way a student learns, helping them individually, or watching them progress from a distance, but not letting them struggle! Teachers can engage with students in many ways, but everyone has their own way of learning. Teachers also must help develop crucial building blocks in a students life, skills they may not be able to obtain past their adolescence, such as projects, which help build team working skills, or through individual assignments to help encourage individualism. Teachers serve to help students become strong citizens later on.

Just like in game, teachers serve an extremely vital role in a students life, as mentioned before they not only educate them on new knowledge, but prepare them for challenges and the real world. They teach not only the subject they are in, but discipline, order, empathy, team work skills, and more. They help each student explore, and learn more about themselves as an individual, and that important knowledge they obtain in the time being, helps them make better crucial decisions in the future, such as career choice, hobbies, or other important choices. Teachers help prepare students for life outside of the classroom setting by exposing them to a small fraction of the environment through controlled education settings. This helps students explore the world safely outside.

In-Character Section

What's your character's full name?: Anoi Keepur
What is your character's nationality?: Greek
What is your preferred subject to teach?: English

Describe your character:
My character Anoi Keepur, is a 5 '4 Woman, is about 159 lbs. She has a mesomorphic body type. She wears deep red lipstick and has pretty sky blue eyes, to match the golden sunset hair that cascades down her back and shoulders like a waterfall, she has creamy bangs to compliment her eyes like clouds, and her face is speckled with freckles. She has a pearly white smile and is extremely endearing. She speaks softly, but clearly, and her voice is almost angelic. She stands confidently, and is cheerful. She always seems enlightened, and peppy, and is always trying to encourage improvement and confidence. She leads life by example, and seems a lot like a mother figure. She is not quick to anger, and always tends to maintain a professional attitude, some may call her a workaholic. She is a well loved individual by many people in Karakura. She is outspoken, and an advocate for a better community. She always does everything in her power to make tomorrow a better place for everyone. She is self-sacrificial, and humble. She sees the best in everyone and everything around her and always tries to find the potential in everyone she meets. She is a firm believer that everyone deserves a second chance, and that everyone just needs a shoulder to lean on. She is a refreshing warm embrace to conversate with, and is always open-minded. She’s creative, confident, and some-what of a perfectionist. She’d stop at nothing to ensure what she was doing was just right.

What is your character's outlook on students and co-workers?:
Being a very motherly person, Anoi sees her students as if they were her children/family. She loves each and every one of them equally, and wants to seem them all flourish, she always makes sure she is giving them all encouragement, and engaging with them positively, she wants to ensure she builds connection with her students to help them better understand and maintain a positive connection with education, to embrace it rather than to despise it. She always avoids being quick to anger, understanding that the students have situations in their own lives she may not understand. She believes that she can guide them to be a better person overall, academically, or whatever they are struggling in. She believes that by encouraging positive reinforcement, she can help them build a trusting relationship with her, and always know she’d be of assistance when they need it.

As well as with her co-workers, she sees them as family, and doesn't like to see drama, or disputes happening between them, she wants everyone to be happy, and she sees the best in all of them, even when they don't see it in themselves. She is always there as a helping hand, and is willing to be by their side when they need it the most. Being someone they can go to for advice, or as an ear to talk to. She knows life can be stressful, but also knows no one should face it alone.

What is your character's motivation for teaching?:
Anoi wants to rejoin the Faculty Staff as an English teacher, she believes that every student has a creative side, and that each of them just needs a little help to express it. She believes it is crucial that students have the right help to allow them to express themselves, she believes the best way to do that is through writing. She wants to encourage students to explore new capabilities through words, perhaps find new interests that they hadn’t once known they had. Secondly, English is a complex language, that with the right educator can be taught comprehensively, teaching language in a way that students are able to comprehend it can be tricky, however, Anoi believes that through creative and engaging learning she can help each student enjoy learning how to formulate in depth sentence structures, or create stories, or poetry. As well as, being able to recognize and break-down context clues to understand unknown words.

Lastly, she wants to become a teacher to reconnect with children. Her fondness for educating a younger generation has always been a flame inside her heart. She is passionate about education and has sought to teach the world new ways, and new ideas. She believes that teachers have always played a crucial part in every developing child's life, and she’d give anything to be able to give back to them what she received at their age. Guidance, reliability, honesty, and above all else, knowledge on important life skills.

Roleplay Scenarios

A student in class is struggling to understand the content, what would your character do?:
Lets say the current student is struggling to write their essay on a previously read passage. Anoi would step over to the students desk, whilst the other students worked on their assignments, keeping an open ear of course. She'd pull over a seat and would assist them in understanding how to firstly develop the introduction statement, giving them examples such as; "From the passage I and my class read I can infer that..." or "When we read the passage "To Kill a Mockingbird." I felt for __, when they..." as a way to help them formulate ideas for the topic at hand.

If they are having further trouble with the body paragraph, Anoi would help with giving the student by suggesting that they re-look over the text, encouraging the skill of retaining information from the text. This would help the student develop retention of information, to help them with future assignments. Anoi would always attempt to address the issue at hand in a way that is going to pertain to the subject, whilst also educating the student in a way that is going to develop a crucial skill that may assist them in future similar problems. As well as working with the student to build a trust that she is always able to lend a helping thought, or hand in most situations. This may also help the student feel more comfortable in asking for help later down the road, some students develop 'learned helplessness' and tend to keep to themselves with struggling. So it's always good to work through the problem with the student, rather than giving the answer, or a quick solution.

Lastly, if the student was struggling to think about what to write, she might try to help refresh their memory by giving subtle context clues. Such as, "What do you think the author was trying to describe when..." or "How would you describe..." to try and get thoughts flowing, so that the student doesn't feel stranded.

A student is continuously being disruptive in class, talking out of turn, and making jokes with classmates. What would your character do?:
Anoi would remain calm and collective, she understands that the English may be a subject most students find 'boring' or 'uninteresting.' She'd softly walk over to the student and would ask the student to please remain quite during lecture time. Ensuring the student they would have their designated time to exert their energy and excitement after the class, or during a group assignment. After this, Anoi would return to her current lecture. If the student were to continue afterwards, she would continue teaching on her way over to the student, before pausing the teaching momentarily. She would instruct the student that if they can not maintain a quite and calm demeanor that they will be moved to her side desk, where students who are being disruptive will go to work silently on an apology essay for interrupting the class. At this point if the student continues acting up, Anoi would give them one final chance, telling them that if they do not stop being disruptive, they will receive detention, and will be removed from the class.

After this point, if the student continues on being interruptive of the class, by talking and not behaving. They will be handed a detention slip, and removed from the class. From which point Anoi will continue teaching the students who are being well behaved in her classroom, and that are engaged in the lesson at hand.

Provide at least 2 interactive class ideas related to your preferred subject:
Interactive Idea #1 :

Anoi would review the passage "Romeo and Juliet" with the class. They would spend a week or two studying the passage. Before assigning the class a group project. The project would be to research the passage of a character and then act out the character when they present. The instructions for the assignment would be for the students to create a team name, to choose a moment in the passage, to select characters from that moment, write a summary of who the character is, what role they play in the story, and why the student chose that character. They will then rehearse the scenario they chose with their partners before presenting, no more than five minutes each group to present. After the instructions were given, The students would receive a physical copy in case they forgot, or misunderstood the verbal instructions. The group would work on their assignments outside of the classroom, and or at the very end of class with allotted time. When presenting they will stand at the front of the class and will describe their character, what their role in the story is, and why they chose the character. After each member of the group is done presenting their character of choice, they will then work as a group to play out their chosen scene. After all groups are done presenting Miss Keepur will hold an anonymous vote, and whoever was decided as the best group will receive a reward the next class-period. She will make it clear that groups can not vote for themselves.

Interactive Idea #2 :

Anoi would write up short-story prompts the previous day before class. Putting them in a hat, she would walk around giving students the random prompt drawn from the hat. The students would then be instructed to write a short-story of a minimum of 200 words using that prompt as a base for the story. She would allow the students to work on their prompt for the remainder of the class, and the period after that. At the end of the day after the students given time to work on their short story, she would ask the students if any of them would like to present their story to the class. Allowing each student the chance to share what they came up with for their story. After this, she would then assign a project corresponding to each students prompt. The project would be as followed, the students will get one poster board, they will then be assigned with illustrating a book cover for their short story, and on the back, creating a short summary of their book. They will be given the rest of the period to work on their project, and however long until the next class. During the Next class the students will be asked to present their poster boards, and whomever is voted the best poster will be given a reward. All the students will have the option to hang their poster in the classroom, or take it home afterwards.
