APPLICATION INFORMATION
What position are you applying for?:
Judge.
What is your motivation for applying?:
I've wanted Val to pursue a legal career for a long time. He's a character I’m genuinely invested in, and I’d love the chance to fully explore his journey. I know my reputation might not have been the best last time around, so I've put real effort into turning that around, spending more time RP'ing with the faction.
Joining the faction would be a huge boost, both for me and for what I can offer to the server. Val’s background makes him a perfect fit as a government official, and I think his story only gets more interesting with the setbacks he's faced. I want to connect his past rejections into his lore, where he returns to Karakura with a sense of purpose and something to prove.
I’m really eager to experience this roleplay fully, and I hope my commitment has shown that I’m ready for the spot.
Do you have an understanding of Karakura’s laws & Constitutional rights?:
I do
Are there any goals for you or your character with this role?:
Yes, I want Valor to be an easy go-to person, who is always available for a case. He has surprisingly neutral views due to him being born to a family of assasins, even though he is not a criminal himself. He is not corruptable however he makes his own decisions after seeing a ton of evidence.
In your own words, describe what the position you’re applying for does within the government:
There are a few core responsibilities that I have observed a judge handles in the government -
Signing off on adoption papers,
Approving restraining orders,
Issuing warrants,
Overseeing cases, and, of course, making fair judgments.
In their spare time Judges also take on various front-desk duties as a government employee like -
Processing new IDs,
handling marriage registrations, or
even organizing funeral proceedings for gravestones.
But from what I’ve seen personally, the role probably goes beyond the typical understanding of what roleplaying should be.
Do you acknowledge that upon being accepted you can be subject to removal at any given time?:
Yes
Do you understand that you’re expected to be dedicated to your position upon being accepted?:
Yes
Are you aware that any display of OOC bias toward anyone on the job will result in punishment?:
YES
Have you read & agreed to follow the Government Faction rules?:
YES
Are you able to attend weekly meetings & events?:
Yes!
IN CHARACTER SECTION
*One year later, Valor Andreas walked into the room, this time with a hint more gravitas in his demeanor, he wore a sharp business suit now complemented by a lapel pin showing his allegiance to the justice system in Korea. The air around him carried the same confidence but with a deeper, unspoken seriousness. He handed the interviewer a new business card, subtly embossed with a gold emblem, and sat with a composed ease.*
Full name
Valor Andreas, but feel free to keep it to “Val.”
*he'd have an easy smile as he took a seat*
Preferred title (Mr., Mrs., etc.):
Mr.
Current age:
28, but I’m sure I’m still passing for 25.
*He smiled with a self-assured chuckle.*
Date of birth:
7th October, Dont worry about the year. You already know my age! I am what they call a wise vintage!
*he'd give a playful wink*
Gender:
He/him, male for now. But hey, life’s full of unexpected twists and turns, so who knows?
*he'd chuckle*
Academic Degree:
I’m a South Korean-bar-certified lawyer. Ask me how the Korean legal system differs from the Karakura sometime—fascinating stuff.
*he followed that with an easy smile*
Major(s):
Criminal Justice, Political Science, Criminal Psychology, and Mass Communication.
*He'd pause and then chuckle as he said*
All the essentials for knowing the law, the people, and getting them to understand the stakes.
Minor(s):
Social Psychology and Philosophy.
*He gave a little shrug, as he spoke next his tone was playfully humble but with a sense of hard-earned wisdom.*
Keeps me grounded when I’m deciding if it’s “the law” or “the people” who need justice most on any given day.
Work experience:
Two years of life-shaping experience as an intern in Korea’s High Court. I came here to interview to be a lawyer, but was rejected, so I worked for a year in Seoul’s legal labyrinth.
I’ve assisted in courtroom logistics, interviewed witnesses, and become a known entity among Seoul’s defense and prosecution teams.
It wasn’t easy to trade Seoul’s skyline for Karakura’s gritty charm, but this is home. And I’m more prepared for it now than ever.
*he seemed at ease as he said the name of Karakura, almost as if he truly thought of the place as home*
Nationality & born location:
I'm of Spanish Descent, but i've been in South Korea all my life.
Fluent languages (Underline your native):
Korean, Russian, Japanese and JSL. Accessibility is a part of effective justice, so communication is key.
Criminal record:
Not a criminal, never have been,
*he seemed to be easing into the chair as he spoke, keeping his tone conversational*
What makes you a good candidate for this job?
*he paused for a moment, thinking before speaking with a serious expression but an easy smile*
Let me put it like this—I’m here because Karakura’s justice system doesn’t need a judge who just knows the law...
*he paused for dramatic effect*
it NEEDS someone who understands this city, its people, and the delicate balance between order and chaos.
*he'd pull out his hand listening down his 5 reasons with each finger*
I am neutral but relentless.
I don’t bend to sympathy or prejudice. As a judge, I’d be uncompromising in my dedication to law and impartiality.
My moral code aligns with the law.
Where others see moral dilemmas, I see legal principles to uphold. Justice is my only bias.
I know Karakura’s heartbeat.
From the seedy underbelly to the hopeful families, I’ve seen it all here, and I know that sometimes, justice isn’t black and white. But it’s always necessary.
I listen.
While my confidence may seem unyielding, I’m highly approachable. I want defendants, victims, and attorneys to feel they can speak freely, knowing that I’m here to listen, not to judge prematurely.
And yes, I still have the degrees and skills.
My education and courtroom experience aren’t just titles—they’re tools I know how to wield...
*he'd pause with a serious emphasis on the last bit*
especially here in Karakura.
*He leaned forward, his gaze steady.*
Look, if you appoint me, you won’t just get a sharp mind and a legal scholar, you’ll get someone who lives, breathes, and understands the nuanced justice that Karakura demands. My confidence has grown in the last year, tempered with a respect for the responsibility I’m seeking. I’m ready to serve.
*He rose, nodding respectfully, his expression a mixture of professionalism and warmth before stepping out*
