Describe your activity on the server:
My activity on srp has remained rather constant for a very long time. As I’ve stated in a few of my other applications, I have been in the community for quite some time and I hope to remain in it for a long time to come. As of right now I am in college however on summer break, entering my last semester this upcoming fall. I do work as a server at a restaurant so my hours fluctuate and are not very constant. With that being said I am online whenever I am not at work or at volleyball practice which I attend Wednesdays at 8pm-11pm. Below is the most accurate time chart I can give of my activity and when to expect me on the server.

Monday
Tuesday
Wednesday
Thursday
Friday
Saturday
Sunday
4pm - 4am
I usually work at 11 am on mondays and typically am out around 4 or 5. Then I am free for the rest of the day
All day long
I do not have classes or work on tuesdays, so I am free the entire day.
7am -8pm, 11:30pm - 7am
I have volleyball at 8pm and get out at 11:30pm, otherwise im free until then and anytime after then.
All day long
I do not have classes or work on tuesdays, so I am free the entire day.
I usually work morning but occasionally work all day so this will have to be played by ear

Are you aware that inactivity can result in removal from the council?:
Yes I am well aware that inactivity can result in my removal from the action, I acknowledge this rule.

What is the student council and what do they do?:
The student council is an accumulation of an entire community, mixed with students, teachers, and parents that all come together as a whole to give support and make improvements on a schools community. The main goal of a student council is to provide a platform in a way, or a voice where all the core members can have a say in the main decision making process that helps with guiding the school in the correct direction for it's development and success.

Usually, a school's council consists of a more diverse group of people, such as students from different grades, school faculty members, and even administrators within the school. In some cases this can also include members from the Parent Teacher Association or PTA for short, as well as others who are extremely committed to the well-being of the school. Even though most Student Council jobs can change depending on the school, they do share similarities in their responsibilities. The primary ones are listed below.

Creating and updating school policies
The Student Council takes part in coming up with polices and guidelines as well as going over current ones to make sure they are up to date and upheld. This can vary from expectations on behavior to disciplinary actions, or even the steps taken into hiring new faculty members. All of it plays a very key role in how the school operates to make sure it flows as smoothly as possible.

Finding financial resources
Working closely with school leaders. In this I mean to speak of how the council actively seeks out many different types of funding opportunities for new initiatives or different improvements, such as updated technology, sports equipment, or music and art programs.

Fostering Community involvement
The council also helps strengthen ties between the school and any even wider community outside the school by planning and organizing public meetings, open forums, and other events that encourage engagement and feedback from a wider audience than solely the student and faculty body itself.

Promoting Student Wellness
The council collaborates with staff and the administration team to recognize and address issues affecting student health and wellbeing. These issues could include but are not limited to.
  • Mental Health
  • Anti-Bullying Measures
  • Academic support systems

Promoting student voice and leadership
The student council also holds the responsibility of ensuring that the entire student body feels like they have a say in school decisions. I say this to say because it's extremely important that the student body has the ability to form, and speak about their thoughts when it comes to decisions made for the school, considering that it directly affects their lives. With that being said, some students are elected as representatives in the council and these students in specific play major roles when it comes to important discussions when it comes to said hypothetical changes.

With all of that being said, I believe the School Council is a very important aspect when it comes to making sure a school's environment has a positive and safe atmosphere. With the teamwork of Administration, faculty and the students, the council can make extremely helpful and meaningful progress that can play a crucial role in making sure that everyone has a voice that is heard, and understood when it comes to shaping the way the school will develop.

What motivated you to apply for council? (e.g. Interests, friends, etc.):
I have been a part of the school faculty team many times in the past. I’ve always been drawn back to the community for a desire to not only better my own roleplay experience but better it for those around me. Whether it be me coming up with different types of lesson plans as a teacher, to planning more thought out field trips for my students, or even simply being a nurse and making good IC and OOC connections with my peers. I have an insatiable desire to work on a team and share my ideas as well as hear others' ideas in hopes that we can collaborate and make a well rounded experience for everyone. I believe I have a very good set of problem solving skills and I am a very good listener as well, which I feel makes me a very easy person to work with.
Are you aware that you’ll be having to use your creativity and teamwork ethic within the student council? (e.g. Coming up and helping with events):
Yes I acknowledge this and I will put as much effort as I possibly can to working on different event ideas as well as with my fellow councilors to make a good experience for everyone.
Can you list the roles in the council along with other roles that might be important to the council?:

President
- Represent the student body of the school
- Responsible for coordinating interviews and give out tasks.
- Supervises the function of the elected students

Vice President
- Represents the student body of the school district
- Coordinates the works of committees
- Takes action to take the role of the president if not applicable

Councilors
-Responsible for tending to the student body
-Works with faculty and student body to keep a safe environment for everyone

While students gather for a school assembly, one student behaves disruptively, causing a disturbance. How would you manage the situation to restore order effectively while minimizing any additional disruptions to the assembly?

Youmei straightens the edge of her sleeve before she speaks, her voice quiet but unmistakably firm – the kind that silences noise rather than competes with it

“First, I would not raise my voice. Noise cannot quiet noise. I would move closer to the student, make my presence known – sometimes a calm gaze says far more than authority shouted across a room. If they choose to continue, I would ask them softly but clearly to step outside with me for a short moment. Not to punish, but to breathe, to understand why they felt the need to make such a spectacle.”

“Once outside, I would allow them to voice their opinions. People act out when they are unseen, as it is within our nature as people to wish to be understood. Listening can dissolve the chaos rather than reprimand. Afterwards, I would remind them that the assembly we take part of is a shared space – a collective moment for all – and that their actions affect everyone present.”

Her tone lowers, almost like a faint whisper meant for herself.

“Peace must begin from one still point. I would be that point”

A faint pause.

“One spark in the crowd, hush follows where calm steps tread–storm turns into rain.”

A student refuses to take their mask off after you’ve brought up detention and they’ve run away! What do you do?
Youmei’s eyes narrow faintly – not in anger, but contemplation. Her tone carries an eerie calm, like moonlight over still water.

“I would not give chase. A councilor who makes the choice to run after a student only becomes part of the chaos. Instead, I would note the direction they went and notify other faculty members immediately – safety comes before confrontation. Once the situation settles I would approach them later, quietly without a watchful gaze.”

She folds her hands neatly before continuing

“I would remind them of the rule we follow, explaining why they exist – that masks can cause confusion, even fear in the more timid hearts, when others cannot see who they are. Although, I would also listen. Sometimes, people cling to the forbidden because it feels like the only thing they can control. Understanding that is the first step toward resolving it properly.

Her voice softens, carrying that ghostly lilt again;

“Faces must be seen, yet shadows beg not to fade–I will light them slowly.”

A teacher observes concerning behavior from a student, including the creation of disturbing artwork and verbal threats toward peers. How would you collaborate with the teacher to evaluate the situation and intervene appropriately to address potential safety concerns?
Youmei’s expression doesn’t shift much–only her eyes begin to soften, like candlelight dimming at the mention of something fragile.

“I would take the teacher's concern with a silent seriousness. The first step is to report this to other faculty, and then take a quiet moment to gather an understanding, not alarm. I would ask the teacher for specific examples – what kind of artwork, what words were used, and in what tone. Context matters in all things, peaceful and chaotic. Oftentimes, pain disguises itself as violence in art.”

She folds her hands over one another, calm and deliberate

“Together, we would document what we know and bring it to SLT if necessary. The student’s safety and the safety of others comes first. But beyond that, I would advocate for empathy – for giving the student space to speak, and explain what their tongue prevents them from explaining.”

Her gaze lowers slightly, voice faint as if speaking to unseen things

“Monsters drawn in ink are not always meant to harm; on occasion, they are meant to keep harm away.”
A breath passes, followed by a soft set of haunting words.

“Ink bleeds on paper, cries no one wishes to listen–still, I will listen.”

A group of students asks for your permission to stage a protest on school grounds. Would you allow them to protest? If so, how do you ensure that the protest does not disrupt the school environment while upholding their freedom of expression?
Youmei’s tone remains composed, but her eyes glint faintly with thought – like she sees the balance between fire and calm written in the air

“Yes. I would allow it – but only through proper channels. The echoes of human desire should not be silenced; they should be guided, carried through the wind as the song of ambition, not the rage of a storm that leaves wreckage in its wake. I would first meet with the students to understand why they wish to protest – what truth they feel unheard about. Once that understanding is made, I would assist them in submitting a formal proposal to the administration for approval.”

She moves her hand in a small, circular motion, as if outlining invisible order.

“The time would fall, to set clear boundaries, time, location, and behavior. The protest must not interfere with spaces in which others learn, or target specific people. It is to remain peaceful – a statement, not a storm. I would let a reminder linger within the air that their message carries more power when expressed with respect. Anger burns quickly, but calm conviction endures.”

Her voice lowers to a whisper, half prayer, half warning;

“Voices rise like wind, but even wind must bow once–the flame learns to breathe.”

A teacher/receptionist has told you that you are doing something that goes against what you were trained by your higher-ups. How would you react to this?
Youmei pauses before answering – not defensive, not nervous, simply… still. Her gaze lowers slightly, the kind of humility that doesn’t bend but listens

“I would give thanks, in acknowledging my mistakes. Sometimes we as people are too deep in our own rhythm to notice when we’ve stepped off the beat. I’d promptly take responsibility for my misstep, and apologize; then ask them to explain what it was I did that went against training, giving my full attention before replying. There is no shame in correction – only in refusing to learn.”

Her fingers lace together on the desk as she continues softly

“After hearing the song their explanations sang to my ears, I would clarify the expectations with my higher-ups or review the guidelines myself to ensure I’m acting within the lines set. Upon making an error, I would correct it immediately and ensure history would not be repeated.

Then, almost to herself, she murmurs;

“When walls correct wind, I bow, and learn their silence–calm rebuilds the path.”

Please provide at least one detailed event that the council can use as a future event to showcase your creativity! (Must be 300 words or more for one event):

“...I have a proposal.”

She pauses, eyes unfocused, voice soft but resonant like a distant bell

“The living… are noisy. We laugh, we cry, we forget. But the quiet ones–the ones beneath our feet, behind our mirrors–they remember everything.”

Folding her hands neatly in front of her, an unblinking unreadable expression on her face

“I would like to hold an event called The Veiled Festival. It will take place at dusk, when the air begins to blur the lines between light and shadow. Each student will wear a veil, or half mask–nothing extravagant. Something that was made from their own hands. The purpose is simple: For one night, no one will know who is living… and who has simply joined us to visit.”

Her head tilts ever so slightly, as if listening to something distant

“There will be lanterns. Not for wishes–but for confession. Each flame will carry its own whisper, its own secret, its own regret written and folded inside. When the warm lights below rise into the darkening sky, it takes a little weight from the soul that wrote it, returning the struggle of the living to the place it came, ensuring we may find a little more peace as we continue to walk among this realm.”

Her voice grew quieter, steadier

“There will be a procession. No words. Only candlelight, and the sound of footsteps. Each person will walk through the courtyard–one long line of glowing breath within the whistles of the night. In that silence, you may feel them walking with you. If you do… do not look back.”

Closing her eyes, smiling faintly

“And, for those who need to speak what cannot be heard by the ears of the living–there will be a room. A small, dark place. A mirror and a candle inside. You may enter alone and whisper a message to someone who has already gone. To converse with the souls that have passed on, in a way that does not pry them from their rest, but instead give them one final story as they lie their heads for eternal peace.”

Her tone dips, almost reverent

“We honor the unseen, by seeing without our eyes. Be still… and they come.”

When her eyes opened again, they glint faintly in the light

“It is not a festival for fear. It is a night of respect. The living will bow their heads, and the dead will know… they were not forgotten.”

How would you describe your personality?:
“...My personality?”

Tilting her head as though the word itself feels strange on her tongue
“I suppose you could say I am… still. Like water that hasn’t been stirred for years. Most mistake it for calmness, but still water hides depth. Sometimes, rot.”

Her gaze drifting somewhere distant

“I do not like to speak unless I must. Words are small things–they carry too much when said carelessly. I prefer silence. It sings the truth in far more gentle ways.”

A small almost imperceptible smile touches her lips

“I do not enjoy violence. But when spirits whisper too loud, or fear grips the living, I… act. It is not passion. It is duty. I move because I must.”

Her tone softens into a near whisper

“I care. People tend to believe the opposite. They see me and think I am cold, as though I was not born human but carved from stone as a statue to forever be still in emotionless silence. But I only keep my distance because emotions cling like wet cloth. Once they touch me. They never quite leave.”

Her eyes lower, and she murmurs a short haiku–half to herself

“Still pond reflects all–but touch it, and the truth fades. I stay… undisturbed.”

She looks up again, her voice returning to its usual eerie calm

“So yes… if I must define it – I am patient. Quiet. Too curious for comfort too most. And a little too close to things most pretend not to see.

What separates you from other applicants seeking your position?:
“...What separates me from others?”

Her eyes lower for a moment, thoughtful as though weighing her own worth in silence before speaking

“I do not seek this position for praise, or to be seen. I seek to listen.”

She folds her hands neatly on the table, her tone calm but heavy with intent

“Most people lead by speaking loudly. I lead by hearing what goes unsaid. – The hesitations, the fears, the quiet needs others overlook. I have learned that silence reveals more than noise ever could.”

A soft pause – she almost smiles

“I am not guided by pride or impatience. I do not rush my decisions. I wait, I observe, I understand. It may seem slow… but the things that are built carefully, do not crumble.”

Her voice softens, but her eyes sharpen with eerie clarity

“Others chase light. I watch the shadows instead – they tell clearer truths.”

She sits back, serene

“What separates me is that I do not fear what others avoid – the quiet, the unseen, the uncomfortable. That is where real guidance lives.”

Why do you want this position?:
Youmei’s eyes blink slowly, perhaps for the first time throughout this interview. Her voice soft, but deliberate – every word chosen like it carries weight

“I do not wish for control. Or recognition. What I want… is balance.”

Her fingers trace the edges of the desk, as if drawing unseen lines

“There is always noise in a school – laughter, arguments, the small chaos of the living. But beneath it all, there's something far quieter. The tired overlooked ones. The ones who speak softly, and are drowned out by the raging oceans of noise.”

Her gaze sharpened, distant, like she’s seeing both worlds at once

“I want to be a bridge for them. To make space for quiet voices to exist – not as whispers, but as truths.”

A moment passes – she breathes out slowly, then murmurs in her own haunting rhythm

“A candle in wind – burns low, unseen, yet still warm. I guard that small flame.”

Her eyes lift again, steady and calm

“I want this position not to lead from above… but to keep balance among those who forget what silence can teach.”

What interests you the most about student council?:
Tilting her head slightly, her voice quiet but unwavering – like the hums of wind through paper screens

“It is the way small choices can ripple. A meeting, a decision, a single rule – and suddenly the entire school feels its weight.”

Her gaze drifts for a moment, as though she can already see those invisible ripples spreading outward

“I find that fascinating. How unseen patterns beneath everyday order can have such an effect. The way harmony can exist only when someone tends to both worlds, of the light and dark.”

Bringing her hands down, folding them in her lap neatly

“I want to understand how a place breathes – how people move within it, what they need but don’t think to ask for. Student council is where that heartbeat can be heard most clearly, if one is willing to listen.”

Her voice lowered once more into something like a whisper, carried by the wind across still water

“Voices in the hall, footsteps echo, never heard – I listen for them.”

What could you contribute to make the school a safe and fun environment?:
“...Safe and fun,”

She repeats the words softly, as though testing how they sound together. A small, distant smile curved at the corners of her lips

“Most people think safety comes from rules, and fun from noise. However I believe both are born from understanding.”

Her voice was gentle, but her eyes held that quiet intensity – like she’s peering through the question itself

“When people feel unseen, they grow restless. When they are afraid, they hide their true selves. If I can make even one person feel as though they are noticed by hundreds – quietly, sincerely – they will feel safe enough to breathe, to laugh, to exist without masks.”

A small pause, as though choosing her next words with care

“I would bring calm where there is chaos. I would listen when others talk over. I would help create small spaces where students can simply be who they wish to be without fear of judgement or being drowned out by those who wish to snuff their light. Fun can bloom there as well, the kind that is not forced but the kind that grows naturally when people feel at peace.”

Her tone softened, almost like a lullaby

“Even ghosts can smile, when the living laugh with care, light spreads quietly.”

Returning her gaze to the interviewer

“I would contribute peace – the quiet kind that lets joy feel safe enough to stay”
