this is why we are enemies, iris.
I think this also contributes to the factor that we have more "western" characters. The vast majority of this server is either from Europe or the United States, so it's either roleplaying "poorly" with a Japanese character or roleplaying good with a non-japanese char. It doesn't change my POV, but I think is worth to be noted.

Most-likely my views have been stated several times, But SRP's current region of being placed in a disconnected Japanese island is a wonderful setting, It's been built up and expanded upon over years of Lore team members ideas and concepts which allowed the lore to evolve around Karakura with-out feeling as sudden or abrupt, Not to mention the evolution of SRP's builds, I believe it would be difficult and stressful to go from a Westernized Japanese town with throwbacks to previous periods of Japan, to a standard city located in America, Karakura also has lore explaining exactly how and why Karakura is as Westernized as it is today thanks to the wonderful lore team's creations, And In doing so if a change from Japan to America was made, Many Items, Characters, Character lore, Builds, and even Factions such as the Shintoist Shinsei Seinaru Monastery would have to be scrapped to fit into an American setting.

Karakura already has massive amount of lore and buildings reminiscent of traditional Japanese tradition. Changing it to America would mean to change EVERYTHING.
