DESCRIPTION | DESCRIPTION A diminutive figure, standing at 5’1 and weighing 63 kg. Her petite frame suggests a sedentary lifestyle, yet her posture is immaculate, providing her with an air of vitality and health. Teresa has a noticeably pale complexion and is typically covered up with modest clothing or the attire of a religious sister. Her eyes are green while her hair is light brown, with most being kept tucked away behind her veil. She permits some hair to flow down her shoulders instead of perhaps tucking it away within the confines of a more conservative habit. Teresa is never seen with make-up; though her intense skin-care routine is evident and pays dividends. Jarringly, she seems to constantly reek of smoke. Possessing a few material objects, Teresa can often be spotted carrying…

Voice | Teresa’s voice is soothing and eloquent; she speaks with a clear purpose that could give lawyers older than her a run for their money. Her English accent is unmistakable due to her upbringing, and she possesses a vocabulary often replete with innocent literary references that all appear rather rehearsed for every situation. Despite superficially appearing as a hyperfeminine straight-arrow who never has any fun, the reality is she has a tendency to giggle and overall come off as brazen, animated, and dramatically jubilant in the company of friends. Moreover, her usual certain and serene tone is easily displaced by flattery which may render her naught but a stuttering mess. |

Dislikes: The rude and impolitic, senseless violence, materialism, censorship, blasphemy/sacrilege. Favorite Subject: History Her favorite figure from history is Joan of Arc |
Tastes in Music | Prefers hymns or songs with religious themes, but also enjoys songs that could be interpreted in a religious way:
Her Blockify Playlist, however, seems to be an entirely unique beast. It is as embarrassing as it is revealing:

Biography/Background
♱ Birth
On the 4th of April 2005, Teresa Keating entered this world on a bright cold day in Karakura, Japan, as the clocks were striking thirteen. Her birth marked a singular chapter in the tapestry of her family's history. Her father was 35 years old at the time of her birth; a British tourist who had ventured into Karakura and found himself deeply enamored by Teresa's mother, a graceful 80-year-old woman with an impressive property portfolio.Teresa's father had cultivated strong bonds within Karakura's small Catholic community since his arrival, and when Teresa graced the world with her presence, the news spread as though it were some extraordinary revelation. Some in the community facetiously dubbed her birth a ‘miracle’ adding a touch of scandal to their astonishment given the broader Karakura populace was not particularly receptive to brazen claims of miracles.
♱ Early Childhood
The tapestry of Teresa’s upbringing was woven with threads of her dual heritage. Her father, a British expatriate and distinguished Barrister, ensured that she imbibed the essence of her British roots, bestowing upon her a profound appreciation for English literature, music, traditions, and, most notably, jurisprudence. His aspirations for Teresa originally centered around a career in Karakura's legal profession, but it would seem Providence had other plans.A poignant moment in Teresa's life came when she was only 11 summers, and involved the expected passing of her aged mother. The loss was followed by an increase in Church visits. The boost in visitations was the direct result of Teresa’s father who was seeking to mend the void in her heart. His efforts were not in vain: The Church became her sanctuary, and it was amidst its hallowed halls that she crossed paths with religious sisters visiting Karakura as tourists. Their temporary presence seemed to reveal a path Teresa never knew existed; the solace of consecrated life. She never even considered this as an option due to Karakura's demographics.
The pursuit of this path, however, was not seriously considered due to the demands of Teresa’s early homeschooling. Those days emerged as some of the most blissful moments in her life, as she thrived in an environment teeming with erudite mentors.
♱ Teenage Years - Entering Karakura High
At the age of 13, she embarked on her journey into Karakura High. There the stark realities of the world left her disconcerted. The pervasive presence of violence, murmurs of an underground ‘fight club’, and rampant discord at the school caught her all by surprise. These discoveries, coupled with Teresa’s propensity to rectify her teachers at the faintest misstep posed challenges to forging meaningful relationships. Notwithstanding these difficulties, she retained a small circle of friends, most of whom shared her unwavering faith in Christ.A profound transformation took root within Teresa as the years passed by. She would work on her hubris and begin forming meaningful friendships. The echoes of judgment gave way to a newfound humility. Detractors persisted, accusing her of being an overly sanctimonious 'holier-than-thou' fraud. But as her final year of High School commenced, she astonished many by appearing in the attire of a novitiate; eventually donning the complete habit and garb of a religious sister.
“Since I came to this school… a growing feeling kept gnawing away,
something inside me! I wanted to give something that is mine and mine alone.”
Shortly upon beginning her novitiate in the Discipuli Lux Divina sect, it was decided by senior leadership within the sect that ‘the period of her novitiate should be dramatically reduced’ in lieu of her ‘unwavering faith in Christ and obvious propensity to show absolute fidelity to the final vows taken by our religious sisters’.
Teresa’s tone underwent a profound metamorphosis after she took these vows. Where once stood a judgmental snob, there now stood a lone figure: sincere and austere, harboring compassion and an innate understanding that transcended judgment.
♱ Present
This extraordinary transformation continues to captivate many. However, it also unsettles skeptics uncertain whether any internal change has actually occurred; particularly because of her very short novitiate that she is very reluctant to talk about. Teresa is presently committed to living in accordance with the teachings of her faith and building bridges of friendship and solidarity with her peers. She is not alone in this task and has been joined by other sisters in her sect, albeit ones that have not taken final vows as she has.During Teresa's time in the Occult Club, she has spearheaded an investigation into a 'missing statue of the Virgin Mary'. During a remodeling of the Karakura Church interior, an attic, containing a 'second' statue of Mary, distinct from the one out the front of the Church that remains to this day... went missing!
This caused her significant distress due to her tendency to go up into this attic to make prayers for intercession, and due to the sentiment by some from the Archdiocese that there was a 'presence' in this attic. AND SO, a meeting was had, questions were asked ... until eventually, an incident happened.
Though not involved in the incident herself, it was reported by several officers of the KPD and some civilians that they all saw a statue of the Virgin Mary spring to life in the abandoned Masamaru station. Fire was conjured in the vicinity, causing some officers to sustain severe burns.
Teresa immediately interpreted the reports as 'firsthand accounts of miracles' and subscribes to the theory that the 'miracle' is Our Lady of Sorrows interceding on our behalf to protect the people of Karakura from malevolent Yōkai plaguing the station. Though she has absolutely zero evidence for this theory, she points to 'a recent intrusion into the Church by one such Yōkai', that penetrated the walls of the Karakura Church, seized a shrine maiden by the throat, and fled. It is Teresa's ardent belief that the statue springing to life is 'clearly a precaution of miraculous origin' to prevent 'further intrusions' into a sacred space and to 'protect the people of Karakura'.
Incidentally, after this incident, a room was discovered beneath the Karakura Church's lectern, containing a small room with... a second statue of the Virgin Mary. It is unclear where it came from, or how such a heavy object made it down there into such a narrow space: but, since the incident, Teresa has been one of a great many members of the community flocking down into this room to leave written prayers in the stray barrels around the statue:

Under your mantle, we find refuge, O Blessed Mother.
Protect us from the shadows that seek to harm,
and guide us ever closer to the light of your Son.
Help us be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
MEDICAL HISTORY
Teresa is generally healthy, but her medical history as a whole has identifiable patterns:- Sprains and Bruising: Ostensibly from refusing to acquiesce to aggressors, especially when asked to overlook violence against her peers. She has been spotted on more than one occasion fervently praying near scenes of grotesque violence and conflict.
- Drowsiness/Sleep Deprivation/Exhaustion: Teresa seems to have issues sleeping due to her strict routine of prayer which she has to balance with her education and, on top of that, additional education in theology that she feels the need to ‘get ahead on’ as a result of her short novitiate. She has a productive relationship with friends and doctors who often encourage her to remain well-rested and engage in self-care.
PERSONALITY / PERSONAL LIFE
Benevolence and friendliness typify Teresa almost all the time. She actively enjoys meeting strangers and does her best to be as inviting as possible notwithstanding her somewhat alienating appearance and propensity to be rather nosy.
She has an aversion to the bad-mannered, willfully ignorant, and elitist members of society; particularly when they are older than her and ‘should know better’. Teresa dedicates her life to the underprivileged members of Karakura, including the imprisoned, sick, and homeless. She has always treated them with kindness, so the treatment of the young as a scourge and the callousness often shown to strangers “rendered invisible in an instant” appears to her as a grave offense.
Teresa’s private life, by contrast, is one of contemplative prayer and solitude; enriching herself in the mysteries of her Order. Of course, she has regular hobbies like any other teenager; singing, writing, and drawing among others. However, even these sometimes overlap with her religious life. She is an avid reader of the news, but often finds herself providing a healthy amount of insightful critique based on this exercise; with ‘Bible in one hand, and Newspaper in the other’ as is common among religious sisters across numerous Christian denominations.
Teresa's understandable willingness to protect others does often get her into trouble because of her deep naivete and propensity to see the good in everyone:
“Nobody is beyond redemption; what’s important is what we choose to do after such shameful moments of weakness where we forget ourselves”
The ‘trouble’ she is prone to get involved in often results in some degree of physical harm or being judged for involving herself in dangerous situations at all. Teresa vehemently rebukes such critics, each and all, because “surely” those who have been deemed lost by society are not beyond the capacity for love and forgiveness:
“Our sewers are a sanctuary for the lost, but anyone who says they are beyond the reach of love and forgiveness is wrong. Their punishment by Karakura’s courts is one thing, but we should still have faith in them!
Weaknesses/Vices
Spendthrift
Despite taking a vow of poverty, the fact remains: Teresa’s background was inordinately privileged, and her mother’s passing left her with an incredible inheritance. While these facts are technically in the public domain, and often become evident with some of her more extravagant expenses: she is extremely reluctant to talk about it and tries to live a frugal lifestyle. “Who was the Saint that said ‘Put me anywhere on God's green earth, I'll triple my worth’?
Whatever the case, they had the spirit!”
Compliment Fisher
Teresa often finds herself easily flustered and overwhelmed when confronted with flattery or advances from others, causing internal conflict as she strives to maintain the purity of her calling while also mediating her feelings. She simply feels she would be incapable of focusing on her commitment to service were she to allow romantic interests to fetter her mission. To this end, she rarely finds herself unaccompanied or seen dressed in anything other than her religious habit. However, on numerous occasions, she has been known to actively relish compliments.Incapable of Wrong
Teresa rarely takes accountability for her actions, too often falling into the habit of genuinely believing she is incapable of moral error, particularly when involved in arguments. She will often perform mental gymnastics to justify her misbehavior. Reckless Naivete
As a consequence of her upbringing, she adamantly believes in the inherent goodness of people and has an intense desire to nurture the potential for goodness within others, guided by an innocent (but often mistaken and misplaced) belief in their inherent virtue and intentions. This has led her to engage in some actions that, while well-intentioned, have sometimes proven ill-advised. Such instances typically involve her not reporting the misdemeanors, transgressions, and even serious crimes of individuals with the hope she can simply unilaterally help them recognize the error of their ways. She is also prone to ignoring the opinions of even close friends in favor of trusting absolute strangers on principle: ‘It’d be wrong to prejudge others’.
Obsessive Stalking Behaviors
Romantic interests are not entirely foreign to Teresa: she is very human and has been known to develop crushes. Unfortunately, she has invariably elected to stalk and meticulously record her romantic interests to win their hearts. This impulsive behavior has manifested in, inter alia: (1) Following someone already in a relationship back home and leaving ominous messages outside their house (2) Using friends as listening devices to eavesdrop on conversations (3) Using binoculars to get a better view of her romantic targets (4) Using Black Market Services in an attempt to blackmail the partners of those already in a romantic relationship.Aspirations
To continue her work as a religious sister working within the Archdiocese of Karakura: building bridges, being a peacemaker, and leading a contemplative life of prayer, steering clear of earthly temptations that litter Karakura which would detract from living life to the full, as she sees it.Some have suggested she follow in the footsteps of her father and become a lawyer in the future, an idea she has mixed feelings about in lieu of her less-than-friendly online interactions with a former Attorney-General of Karakura. Her views of the prefecture's legal system are quite critical and, ironically, rather unfriendly:
Karakura's legal profession is a laughable parody, a quaint village play compared to the grand opera of British jurisprudence
Relationships
Parents: [REDACTED] †
Romantic Interest: Mei Miura, a fellow member of the Occult Club. The pair are openly fond of one another, but her fixation on him has been observed by others to be a tad excessive.
"Were it not for my prayers, my darling paledrake would assuredly be 10 feet under by now. His soul is my responsibility. No one may interfere, especially that bad-built, bleach-blonde belligerent buffoon, Tori Saiky, who has done great injury to his soul. I do not care what family she is from, she can sue me for defamation all she wants".
Pierre Laurent: A French boy in Teresa's grade who encountered her by pure chance. The pair seemed to 'match each other's crazy', though Chancellor Iwao Akihito observed that Pierre should 'stop letting [her] boss [him] around', evidently finding the relationship to be unhealthy. Pierre's absence led to Teresa simply giving up on the relationship.
Gwayne Aiuchi: Former romantic interest, the pair dated in secret notwithstanding Gwayne's eventual engagement to another whom Teresa actively tormented and stalked. The relationship never blossomed into anything concrete, with Teresa moving on, harboring nothing but resentment for Gwayne.
Marcello Akori: Although no relationship ever did develop between the pair, Teresa did, in confidence, mention that [REDACTED]. The two appear to be on friendly speaking terms.

Friends:
Occult Club: Teresa has expressed interest in membership and makes valiant attempts to attend meetings held by the club. Her first meeting saw her have a supernatural experience. Her interest in the club strikes others as unusual as the Church has, historically, condemned all things occult. Teresa insists her presence is 'necessary' to 'learn more about what we're up against ... our enemies are not of this world!'
- Leo Itsuka: Currently Vice-President of KHS' Student Council. During Teresa's very brief time on the Council, they developed something of a friendship that has grown warmer due to their shared membership in the Occult Club. Teresa finds him 'quite charming' and may have at one stage discreetly taken a hair sample from his chair shortly after a history class in the full view of Valentina Cruz, a member of KHS' Cheer Team.
- Marcello Akori: A member of KHS' Football Team. A dear friend of Teresa. He singlehandedly got her addicted to strawberries and anything strawberry-flavored. The pair have an unusual history and friendship that she, herself, seems very reluctant and almost ashamed to talk about.
- Luca Mackenzie: A fellow 12th grader with a predilection for music and goth fashion. Under her tutelage, he has learned to play certain hymns on his guitar.
- Felix M. Drakos Takada: A boy in her grade with a propensity for violence and information gathering. Teresa has found his skillset and friendship to be 'particularly useful' and the two have a unique and strong friendship, with Felix often going out of his way to help and otherwise protect her, relying on her for advice and counsel.
- Sr. Serafima Komnena: Another Nun who answered the call to consecrated life, and a dear friend of Teresa. Generally well-regarded by Teresa for her immaculate fashion sense and 'mastery' when it comes to knowing her scripture!
- Erik Finster: A senior member of the Occult Club. Teresa values his friendship immensely and considers him 'a great friend of the Church'. She finds his erudition to be 'rare' in Karakura, consequently placing a great deal of value on him.
Teresa writes about her enemies in her diary. Notable entries include:
- Tori Saiky: Teresa engaged in a verbal fight with Tori who tried to 'lure her away' from the Club Room, and performed a profane ritual within it. Part of this ritual required the suffering of Teresa's boyfriend, Mei Miura, and so Tori is seen as singlehandedly responsible. Nobody else in her eyes is more reviled. Teresa has no sympathy for Tori, who explained she had committed the gravest crime possible: she had literally 'sold her soul'. This was accepted at face value.
- Kotaro Hamasaki♱: Deceased. He was regarded as a highly animated young man, formerly in Teresa's grade. A former crush, something she would never openly confess because of his 'clear unfaithfulness... and no, I'm not talking about religion'. Their former friendship was an unusual one, though significant enough to warrant mention by a spirit Teresa encountered during a supernatural experience she had at an occult club meeting. That spirit suggested to Teresa that Mr Hamasaki was not all that he seemed, and was deliberately messing with her emotions. On a fateful day at school, where Teresa *almost* fell victim to a 'swirlie' at the hands of a friend of Kotaro, she began to see him differently. She wrote an entire letter expressing her sorrow, mailing it to him. On the very same day, Mr. Hamasaki took her to Church and abandoned her up high on the crucifix at the back of the Karakura Church, leaving her there: 'A base sociopath. There is something very dark in Mr. Hamasaki, indeed. The Kotaro I once knew has either died or worse, has never been. I will of course pray for him, but his obstinance should not be forgotten. Perhaps I could do my part in making our town a gentler place. I shall meditate on this.' . She quietly celebrated his passing by ordering Pizza. A fact she would never disclose to anyone. She is still learning to forgive him for his transgressions.
- Emma Emerson: 'Her very name is like a dagger to the heart that arouses both sorrow and wrath. Whenever I am reminded of her existence I am in turn reminded of her sick and cruel actions: I have had to seek solace in our lady of sorrows too many times as a direct result of her wickedness. It does not bode well to criticize a person who is rude and shows no respect, for you will only get insults. Correct the wicked, and you will only get hurt: so it is written. I shall not bother to correct such people as this one: I will leave that to...'
- Ezri Akai: 'After the Mayor threw a petition in the bin and started openly swearing at me in public... I've come to the remarkable conclusion that the bozo is UNFIT FOR OFFICE. God may forgive Ezri, but I will not.'
- Goemon Asogi†: [deceased] This obsequious little... little 'UGH'. This actual killjoy, this competitive bootlicker just GRINDS MY GEARS. So like, the MAN SAW a petition be thrown into the bin by his employer and he proceeds to gaslight the entire population on social media saying he 'can't speak' for the Mayor, preaching about the need to just engage in civil dialogue. Like, yeah, okay buddy.
- Iwao Akihito: 'Bro tried to drag my boyfriend away from me and push him in the direction of his miserable arsonist offspring. I will never forgive him for this. He also said I was RUDE and suggested my manners needed work. The man should just stick to getting his head shaved by cheerleaders and appeasing his gold-digger wife who clearly doesn't love him'
