Why are Teachers so important to SchoolRP?:
Teachers are important to SRP due to being one of the major interaction points for the majority of the player base. Teachers, especially when I used to be faculty in the past, were a place people could go to do a sort of guided roleplay experience, which is really helpful for new players who may not feel comfortable going out and trying to roleplay on their own. Not only that, but they help to keep some form of order in the school due to their job which is to prevent fights and hand out detentions when needed as well as do damage control during events and rallies. Over all, teachers are very important to the SRP system as they are one of the main groups that you first meet when joining the server and are usually the main starting points for many peoples first roleplay experience inside of the school.

Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you may lose your role?: Yes
Do you agree to undergo teacher training if your application is successful?: Yes

Out Of Character (1).png
What's your character's full name?: Kaiza Ōnitake
What is your character's nationality?: Japanese
What is your preferred subject to teach?: English

Describe your character:
Kaiza is a 29-year-old male who stands at a modest 5'8 and has black hair curls around his face and neck, shielding pale skin from sunlight or any other lights buildings like to throw his way. The strands curling in a shape around his face are often an annoyance to the poor male hair clips having become his best friend. His hair is mostly tied up into a small ponytail with a red ribbon resting against the nape of his neck to keep the strands at bay after all. He’s not one for enjoying the feeling of the hair on his neck or the feeling of it against his collarbones, but alas, sometimes he must just deal with it. Blue eyes shine with curiosity and follow, never really stilling, always wanting to see to watch, not wanting to miss anything he can. He wants to learn what to experience, so he watches, observes, and listens.

He dresses modestly, never one to really show off his form, and instead shows his preference for the loose hang of clothes rather than the hug of tight fabric that causes his body to itch and a buzz to settle beneath his skin comfort over fashion, sticking to the soft fabric of jumpers and jackets, loose dress pants, and boots, then anything else. Though even if he's not one for fashion, he does his best to make his outfits consistent, putting in efforts to accessories with simple jewellery and changing out his earrings to match the aesthetic of his outfits.

He's more of a supporting person than anything, only stern when he really needs to be. He doesn't like putting other people down or making them feel bad for making mistakes, but alas, sometimes you just need to be stern with someone to get your point across; even so, he'd never really call himself unique. The word simply doesn't fit him as a person; he's just who he is, and unique isn't the word that works for him, and it never has some may think he is, but he would never agree. He can never really sit still, either with a leg bouncing or his hands drumming against the surfaces around him, creating non-existent beats as he waits for something to happen. He never stills and doesn't like the restless energy buzzing below his skin when he has to be still and look presentable.

His plans are simple: he wants to teach; he wants to be able to help people learn and enjoy their time at school. He strives to watch people understand to see the information finally click and for them to enjoy what they are doing to see the creativity work through people. He wants to make an area where people are free to express their opinions and debate freely, and teaching will give him the ability to do that. However, he’s also family-oriented; he wants to be able to provide for his siblings and family to give them opportunities he didn’t get to have.

What is your character's outlook on students and co-workers?:
Kaiza's outlook on students is mostly positive. He does his best to make himself up and, supportive, as he knows how stressful school can be for certain students, and he doesn't want to add to the stress of that, he wants to be someone they can go to talk about their issues and problems, so he can help them the best they can to make their time at school a more enjoyable time he. wants them to be able to have fun after all they're just kids however he knows what teens can be like he knows they can be snarky and ill-mannered, but he doesn't snap he simply reminds them that acting like that will only end with them getting in trouble he tries to get them to talk about why they're acting like that and if he can do anything to help them out but over all his outlook is positive.

As for his co-workers, he sees it as mutual respect. He will be civil with them as long as they are civil with him, but even if they aren't, he will do his best to make sure the situation doesn't become hostile. After all, he wants a peaceful working environment, as peaceful as working in a school can get. He sees the relationship between himself and his co-workers as something beneficial, a bond he can rely on if needed, something he can use when a situation gets out of hand and he needs someone there to come help him, and vice versa, he wants his co-workers to know he will be there for them if needed no matter what because he understands how stressful the job can be.

What is your character's motivation for teaching?:
Kaiza was originally a tutor for college classes, staying behind and being set up with people to help and assist them with well classes. He specialised in English out of everything he tutored; it was what he enjoyed to teach and what he found he taught the best, not that he struggled to get people to understand, but more so, he didn't have as much fun teaching the other subjects; it was a drag. Once he found his passion to teach, he decided to throw all of his energy and time into getting his degree and eventually getting a part-time job as a substitute teacher before finally working his way up to having his own classroom and classes to watch over and make sure they understood what he was going through. Not only that, though he wants to be able to provide for his family, his motive is to have a steady job so he can help his siblings and father buy and enjoy things they haven't before.

Roleplay Scenarios

A student in class is struggling to understand the content, what would your character do?:
He'd finish explaining the task to the class, Allowing a few moments of silence to wash over the classroom before making his way around the room checking over students' shoulders to see how they were getting on, as well as making sure that they didn't have any questions that they were too shy to ask, when one of his students did end up flagging him down due to the fact they weren't quite understanding the content of the lesson he'd take a moment to explain the topic again slower with less fancy words and let them work alone for a few minutes most likely circling the room again however he would move back to the student and check in, if they were still struggling he'd bring over his own notebook and either give examples or explain once more while jotting down notes.

A student is continuously being disruptive in class, talking out of turn, and making jokes with classmates. What would your character do?:
Kaiza would pause the lesson, reminding the class that, while he understands listening to him drawl on about what they are doing today, his boring that they would do best to be quiet and listen so they can get set off to work faster once that was done he'd turn back to the board and continue on with his lesson however is the behaviour continued he'd set the class off to work the best they can before pulling the student to the side reminding them of how they are supposed to behave in a classroom that acting that way is not only distracting him but most likely the rest of the class he can understand if the student is bored however it doesn't warrant that type of behaviour and that they need to do their best to focus, so the class can run smoothly once he had done that he'd set them back off to start their work if it progressed he'd warn that he will kick them out of the lesson if they aren't going to actually do what was planned and if needed kick them out so he can carry on with his lesson with minimal distractions.

Provide at least 2 interactive class ideas related to your preferred subject:
The first class would be simple in nature; he would split the class up into three or four groups and give each of them a different genre, for example, horror, fantasy, and so on and so forth. Once each group had a genre, he'd allow each one to come up with a different writing prompt. Allowing them to talk and work for about 20 minutes before going to each group, he'd take the prompt each group had made and write it up on the board before handing them out to a different group. Once that was done, each student would be tasked with writing their own short story with said prompt. He'd allow them to work for 20 minutes once more before giving them the option to come up to the front and share said story so the groups could see what people interpreted from their prompt. There would be a few simple rules for the short stories; the story could not be more than 450 words due to the fact he wanted them to be shared with the class. The stories must be written by yourself; no asking for help, no yelling; don't want to distract other people, and after everything, the best three short stories get reward stickers/tokens.

For the next class, it would be a simple one-word story. Kaiza would start by writing a prompt. up on the board before turning back to the class explaining how they were going to move from person to person and each time they were only allowed to add one word to the story, once the explanation was done. He'd start from one side of the class and move around to the next student allowing them to add to the story once they had done a full wrap of the class he'd show the story they made having been writing it down as the go if the class was happy with the story they'd go on and make a new one however if they weren't, he'd ask exactly what the class wasn't happy about before giving them a chance to pick a place to start from again in hopes of making a new one. Some of the rules would be the same, no yelling, no helping other people come up with words, no bad words, everyone will get a turn you just need to be patient. The ones who interact the most will also be given reward stickers/tokens.
