──────⊹⊱✫⊰⊹──────
IGN (In-Game Name):
I have three accounts! wzsi, wmsi, and wusizi.
I will be applying on wusizi.

What is your discord name & tag?:
@wzsi - There is no tag due to the new update!

Previous bans:
None.

Describe your activity on the server:
If you were to ask me, I’d say that my activity is a nine out of ten. While I could be on maybe an hour more a day, I definitely still love to devote some of my time to my life outside of SRP. The hours that I currently get on may vary as it is currently the summer holidays, but I will list them on my normal schedule and my vacation one! I am available to get online starting from eight to nine am currently, and I go to sleep at around ten pm. This is a thirteen-hour window in which I am fully available to get online and be active, aside from any events I may have going on. When I am in college, I’ll be active around those hours, usually 2 - 4 pm three days a week. Though school is a major priority of mine and I want to maintain my activity while keeping my participation and grades high, I can assure you that this will not falter my activity. If anything, it’ll give me something to look forward to as it’ll be a change from the usual college work!

What is your timezone?:
BST, British Summer Time.

What experiences do you have with roleplay?:
SchoolRP tends to have a different, unique style of roleplay. I have been playing since late 2019, and I do believe I have mastered this. Indubitably, the style of roleplay on the server is ever-changing though to my understanding I have a firm grip on this and I do not doubt my roleplay skills. Before 2023 I had never had any major roles within the server, I was always your average grade-twelve student. Not even in college. Though, recently, I have decided to expand my horizons with not only roleplay but helping myself build confidence to get things I want out of this too. I joined the high school female basketball team this year, at the end of January. I stayed on the team for two months, and I made it onto the Bobcats event team and got promoted to co-captain. From here, I helped planning in events and practices while fully stepping up as co-captain. I eventually decided to leave the team as it got uninteresting, and my motivation for the plugin was at an all-time low.

After leaving, I decided to apply for journalism. While I didn’t publish an actual report during my time there, I did many interviews in preparation for future reports. I greatly enjoyed this roleplay, and honestly, I am considering applying for the role of reporter. This aside, after I left journalism I decided to apply for shopkeeper and, to my surprise, I got it! I suppose I am one to doubt myself, as I never thought in a million years I would get the place. But here I am, roleplaying as a fifty-year-old shopkeeper. This was my first time in an adult role, but I can assure you I am now well-adjusted to the style of roleplay. While it doesn’t differ much, it is far more mature and I do enjoy this. It makes me feel like all of the roleplay you participate in is SeriousRP, no swirlies or anything now! Jokes aside, this has been great so far and I hope it will continue to be. After my latest endeavour at the restaurant has settled down, I decided to try out for the high school basketball team once more, and I made it. I stayed on this for around two or three weeks, soon leaving as I am aspiring to make it onto another team! Cheer, perhaps. This leads me to this application, my EMS application and the present day.

What is your motivation for applying?
I have a genuine desire to work as an EMS. This, among many others, is my strongest motivation to attain this role. The roleplaying style of a doctor consists mostly of DetailRP and SeriousRP situations. Personally, this fits my RP style perfectly as it is what I enjoy partaking in most. I have ample experience in writing, actively taking part in, and orchestrating this style of roleplay within a multitude of different situations. As a writer, it is my job to write presentable and proper work for others and this is what I do. I spend most of my time outside of school writing or reading, in hopes of further developing my vocabulary and the way that I write. Taking all of this practice and development into account, I’d say that writing is one of my main and most focused hobbies.

Alongside my love and enjoyment for DetailRP, other aspects of the job also interest me. Research is something that you are expected to do frequently, and in-depth. You indubitably cannot treat someone if you are unaware of what you’re treating. I greatly enjoy exploring new topics and learning about them in detail. To do this regularly would not only expand my knowledge and help quench my thirst for it, but it would also fascinate me greatly; Guaranteeing that this job would have my utmost attention and priority.

Which role are you applying for?

I am applying to be a doctor.

What knowledge do you have of Hospital Work?

-

ROLES -

While there are many roles in a hospital, I will name the ones that I consider the ‘main’ ones. I will write a short summary for each.
Resident
A medical student that has graduated, and now works under supervision in a hospital setting with specialised training.
Physician
While also known as a medical doctor (MD), a physician’s main role is to treat patients by diagnosing their condition and appropriately treating them outside of surgery. While a physician is a general term for a doctor who has earned a degree, they may also have a specialism in a multitude of different fields.
Nurse
To be a ‘nurse’ is a very general term, typically meaning a qualified nurse who has earned a degree in nursing. A nurse's role is to care for patients who are unable to do it themselves. While in the game, the role of a nurse is carried out by the doctor, the duties stay the same.
Surgeon
A surgeon is a doctor that is qualified to operate on patients. They have the same qualifications as a physician typically, but they have gone on to specialise in surgery and receive extra training to do so.
Psychiatrist
A psychiatrist is a doctor who diagnoses and assists in treating psychological problems. A psychiatrist's job is to identify whether a problem is psychological or physiological among other things such as prescribing medications, offering therapies, and treating mental ailments with a combination of the above or different techniques.
Senior
A senior doctor is a doctor that has been working for the hospital for a far longer time. With the role of being a senior comes more trust and responsibilities. They will be a higher-up to doctors.
Attending
An attending from any department is ‘higher-up’ than an average doctor in the hospital’s hierarchy, and typically the one in charge of training the residents while still overseeing that department.
Clinical Lead
A ‘clinical lead’ is typically the overseer of a department. All of the departments in a hospital, such as psychiatry, surgery, or doctors, will have a clinical lead to oversee and ensure that patients are getting the highest standard of care as is their job.
Director
While there are different specialisms and types of directors, the type I will be talking about today is simply a ‘ Medical Director’. If we are talking of the word in its most fundamental form, a director’s role is to oversee the entire hospital and report to their superiors such as board members like the Chief Executive.

DUTIES
Doctors, psychiatrists, and surgeons all have varying duties and a wide range of things specific to their roles. Here, I will be going through them and describing why they are this way.

DOCTOR-SPECIFICCheckups, general healthcare, diagnosing and treating ailments.
SURGEON-SPECIFICPerforming surgery and procedures.
PSYCHIATRIST-SPECIFICTherapy, diagnosing psychological problems, prescribing psychological medications.
CLINICAL-LEAD-SPECIFICLeads the department, overseeing all of the doctors within it.
DIRECTOR-SPECIFICWork in the background, mainly keeping everything running smoothly like a well-oiled machine. Including training higher-ups.

LOGGING
An essential part of any functioning hospital is the act of logging treatments and patients. If a patient is off the record, all sorts of mistakes are able to occur, therefore logging prevents the re-treatment or incorrect treatment of patients. At Karakura Hospital, there are internal and public logs. The public ones are the MEDICAL LOGS and LEGALITY DOCUMENT. Internally, I have yet to learn of those logs! But I do hope to learn about them.

Do you acknowledge that you’re subject to being demoted at any given time if accepted?
Yes, I fully accept this.

Do you acknowledge that by applying for this role, you agree to be 100% dedicated to the Hospital Staff role?
I do. I will give this role my utmost attentive care and dedication.

Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are expected to attend or you will be punished?
This is completely understandable and well within reason. I acknowledge this fully.

Do you acknowledge that you are NOT to take things OOCly when dealing with training & situations?
While I’d assume this is a given for most, it might not come as easily to some. I fully acknowledge and accept this, and promise never to do it.

Backstory (100+ Words)

Early life
Growing up, Florence was a happy child. Constantly showered in love and affection, she’s everything you could ever hope for in a daughter. At around three, young Florence soon came to a realisation that medicine is what she wanted to pursue. Of course, as any child would, she always loved playing ‘Nurse’ with her friends at kindergarten. Though, this was above average. Whether it was a sc****d knee, or something a little more serious you could guarantee that Florence would be there to help in any way possible. All of her teachers always described her as ‘Our little helper!’ or, ‘A golden child.’ This means that she was a model student. Quiet, speaking when spoken to, the works. Even when going to the doctors, she had always shown great interest in all of the equipment used; Why they used it, how they used it, all of that. She was a kind doctor’s ideal patient, a well-behaved curious kid! One that many a doctor was happy to treat, though not that she needed it often. The only time Florence can really recall going to the hospital and not the doctor as a kid is when she dislocated her knee. Ouuuuch, yeah that was a tough one! She spent a few hours in there and went home right as rain. Though, not that she’d have left without talking the poor doctor and nurses ears off! She wasn’t silly, after all. It was around the same time she dislocated her knee as she first got enrolled in Sunday school. At four years old, her parents thought the time was right to put her in a few extracurricular activities. These are Sunday school, obviously, and a couple of sports. Volleyball and dodgeball were her all-time favourites through her years of rotation. Eventually, she aged out of Sunday school though not before she learnt to speak Latin from her pastor, Mateo.

Adolescent years
All things considered, Florence was a relatively easygoing teen. Despite the typical high school drama, she was a very eyes-down pupil and always on top of her studies. Teachers once more loved her as she was the one student who was never reminded of homework, to go to detention, to do their work or anything besides to explain to her peers. Obeying her teachers in such a manner eventually paid off, as she graduated valedictorian; To the displeasure of many. Florence was not particularly well-liked in school, and some could even describe her as lonely. Because of her natural helping nature, she indubitably made a few mistakes that cost her vital social points. Not that she’d ever admit it to anyone, but Florence was the kid who asked about homework that the teacher had seemingly forgotten, among other things.

Despite the social hardships Florence faced throughout her high school years, she still graduated at the top of all her courses and extra-curricular activities and made her way to be valedictorian. Comfortably at this point in her life, she decided to further her studies and move to medical school.

Adult years
Upon graduation, Florence now enrolled herself in a PhD course in emergency medicine. This took six years to complete and was a difficult journey in Florence’s life. Years of late nights, early mornings, and general lack of sleep certainly wore down her mental health, and her impecunious situation surely did not help. Seeing as she needed to progress in her journey to becoming a doctor, Florence enrolled herself in an internal medicine residency. While tough, she powered through and wound up completing the entire residency in three years. Now, at age twenty-nine, Florence felt as though she needed even more experience to feel ready to apply for a permanent position. This easily put down to her over-achieving nature, though. Considering this, she decided to enrol in another residency, this time in emergency medicine. While still in the States, she completed this residency with flying colours. Another three-year course was all she needed to feel comfortable, and eventually leave the nest.

While deciding to leave Lousiana was a massive turning point in her life, Florence felt as though she would not be able to progress further than she already did, had she not moved away. Ultimately, she landed on Karakura. A homely, bustling city that was coincidentally openly looking for doctors. Considering this perfect, she gave it her best shot and applied, and that leads us to the present day.

What is your character’s medical speciality? Why did they choose this focus?
Florence’s medical speciality is Emergency Medicine. At the age of eighteen, soon after completing high school, she enrolled in a PhD course in emergency medicine. This course, while lengthy and tough, took her six years to complete, leading her to graduate at the age of twenty-four. Though her focus is now on emergency medicine, her love for helping people in this nature stems from her childhood. Even when she was a little kid she wanted to help people; Especially those in crisis. Seeing people in need hurt Florence, and wishing she could do something seemed pointless. Thus, she took it upon herself to try her very best to become a doctor specialising in Emergency Medicine. Helping those in crisis, or in need of urgent care is one of her greatest pleasures in life and she wakes up every day happy to have accomplished her life-long goal.

What medical residencies did your character take after medical school?
After completing her time at medical school, Florence moved on to complete two residencies. One in Emergency Medicine, and another in Internal Medicine. Her first one in Emergency Medicine was almost like a dream come true. It was as if all she had worked for the past twenty-four years wasn’t for nothing. While she was grateful to be offered this position, she definitely accepted how hard work it would be. Being a doctor resident in the emergency department is no easy task, and that is where she was placed. Upon completion of this long, hardy course she decided against becoming a doctor at that hospital and instead, she moved on to Internal Medicine. This additional residency took her another three years to complete. So, from the age of twenty-seven to thirty she spent most of her life studying, working, or sleeping. It was a non-stop cycle for Florence which, indubitably, did take a toll on her mental and physical health. Upon realising this toll, she decided that would be her last residency. Bringing her to the present day, in Karakura.

Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?
Alongside her two residencies and PhD in emergency medicine, Florence is no stranger to the work environment of a hospital. In her youth, she greatly enjoyed volunteering within the hospital such as in the restaurant/cafeteria. She worked as a waitress in the cafeteria as a weekend job and learnt a lot about the hospital itself through the doctors there. Though, this was way back in Louisiana when she was sixteen to eighteen!

Has your character completed any additional schooling?
Yes! Florence went to Sunday school, as is common practice in Louisiana. While it is understood that this is typically religious education, this is still a great aid to the person that she is today.

──────⊹⊱✫⊰⊹──────

Describe your character; how do they look, and what makes them unique?
Kind, compassionate, positive and even bubbly are all words that come to mind when thinking of Florence. Though, I do believe the word that resonates with her most is empathetic. Florence has spent her entire life empathising with people and putting herself in her shoes. Helping them is her greatest pleasure in life and even the reason she became a doctor. To ask what makes her unique is asking to find a needle in a haystack. While Florence may seem like your average boring religious country girl, she certainly is far from it. Her determination, deep emotional connection with others, and comforting warmth are all things that set her aside from the rest. To work twelve years for one job took an infinite amount of determination and stamina, but she pulled through! With flying colours, at that. The fact that she has had to prove herself so many times without a single complaint or groan is incredible and undoubtedly unique. All of the other students rising up with her either got a job, dropped out, or were terminated from the program. To have come this far, and still have that eagerness to learn is like no other, and proves that Florence is ready to be part of a team. Your team.

If we are discussing her looks, Florence is a 5’5” (165cm) female, with a slightly endomorphic build. Lustrous honey-blonde hair sits below her shoulders, waving down her upper back. If you happen to look at the right moment, you’ll see her blonde highlights glistening in the sun as they soak up its warmth. Perhaps this is where she got it from. Her sun-kissed skin is decorated by brown freckles that splotch all over her face, perfectly complementing her virescent, light eyes. Moving down her body, you’ll notice that her skin is perfectly unblemished. She has no tattoos, piercings, or even scars; Aside from one, on her right hand. The tiny cicatrix is diagonally pointed, and perfectly formed. It was almost as if it was created using some sort of tool. A surgeon’s tool, perhaps. As we focus on her clothes, you’ll notice that she typically only wears white or lighter colours, to help compliment her skin tone while maintaining her warm aura. This is her own personal choice, as she feels it makes her look softer, more approachable.

An image of her current appearance in-game:

download (19).png

How does your character act on and off duty?
On duty, Florence is witty. Keeping her smarts with her at all times, no matter the situation, she’ll often be the first to react within a room. While this never fully leaves you, it certainly lingers with her regardless if she is at home or simply on a walk. Some call it a blessing, some call it a curse. Who’ll know what she thinks, aside from herself? On shift, she is closed off. Not that this is a bad thing, it's mainly for her own protection and to protect her patients. Who knows what type of sensitive information can get spilt during idle chit-chat, and her entire career is not worth a five-minute conversation. At least, that's how she sees it. Her closed-off manner and face-reacting nature aside, Florence is friendly while maintaining a normal work-life social balance. She is the type of nurse kids would ask for, that the elderly page or even the typical gangsters come to visit. Perhaps that is for her looks, but she’ll treat them the same without thinking twice about it. Being professional is important to her, so while still maintaining her friendly relationships she does ensure they stay strictly professional and border nothing even close to ‘friends’.

Outside of work, Florence is as you’d expect! A kind, humorous extrovert with a love for socialising. When she’s not with her girlfriends down at the local book club, she’s most likely either at home or meeting a dear friend at a family-owned cafe. Maintaining strong bonds with friends is vital to her, and her friends are what help to support her lucky-go-happy lifestyle. Not to say that without her social circle, Florence would be nothing. That’d be exaggerating, but she definitely would not be the happy person that she is today. She finds it easy to make friends, her charming mein and laughable empathy greatly assisting with this.

Does your character function better on their own or with others?
As much as I’d love to say on her own, Florence is one for the people. Whether it just be sitting in silence working, or actively in conversation with others Florence definitely just needs that little bit of background noise and level of comfort to help her work far more efficiently.
What plans does your character have for the future?
If we’re being honest? She doesn’t know. First, it was to finish high school. Then, it was to finish med school. To finish her residency, and her other one, then to finish moving to Karakura… Her plans have always been to finish what she’s doing, then decide. For now, it's worked perfectly but perhaps this is a field she needs to revisit; Soon.

How do others perceive your character? How does it contrast with their perception of themself?
Others who do not know Florence will typically see her as a bland timid overachiever. Though she may look like this on the outside, to never judge a book by its cover definitely applies here, as once you get to know her that could not be farther from the truth! Once you actually got to know her, you’d realise she’s a lovely person. Sweet, caring, and above all humble. Florence will not recognise a single one of her achievements, passing them all off as ‘something you have to do’. While this could be a good thing, it can also turn sour. Quickly, at that. Despite this, Florence is widely loved; Always has been! Her social nature makes her easy to get along with, contributing to her large number of acquaintances.

If we’re talking about how Florence sees herself, it’ll be vastly different. She views herself as an average woman who worked for what she got. While that much is true, she still worked a considerable amount more than others and went to extreme lengths to secure the position that she is in today.

Thank you for taking the time to apply, however, we have decided to deny this application due to the following reasons:

We highly recommend you try to apply again next wave!
