Describe your activity on the server:
If I remember correctly, I joined SRP in early 2021 and joined the Council in May of that year, until I left in mid-2023 due to my studies, in early 2025, I returned to SRP and tried to join the shrine for the first time, but unfortunately I failed. I chose another faction (the government faction) to continue honing my RP experience, and now I think I'm ready to apply again.
Compared to others, I have a lot of RP experience, and I always had some traces in the community a few years ago (The same has been true for the past few months). I believe that I can do it again.
I can be online for 2 hours every day. If I have nothing else to do, I can be online for 4 hours on Saturdays and Sundays.
I'll be quite busy until the end of December (due to studies), but next spring until September I'll have a lot of time to dedicate to SRP.
If the application is approved, I will have both the Judge and Maiden tags, and I believe I am capable of handling both positions.

The following is the playtime of my two accounts:

There may be others, but I probably won't find them.

What position are you applying for (Maiden or Priest)?
Maiden

What is your motivation for applying?
Let me first tell you the reason for OOC:
It all started when I accidentally came to the shrine. At that time, the shrine was brand new and many things had changed. I became very interested in it. Then I began to frequently talk to the shrine staff. I thought they were mysterious and interesting, and I wanted to get to know them better.
Even though I have joined the server for 4 years, I think there are still many things I don’t know about this server, and the shrine happens to be the most mysterious place in the whole Karakura (I think so), so I had the idea of joining the shrine.
At the beginning of this year, I had already considered whether I should apply, but suddenly one day, I found that the school faction had an intern, and I was surprised to find that there was a shrine to choose from, so I chose to apply without hesitation. Unlike most people, the shrine was my first choice.
After completing my internship, I tried applying to the shrine faction, but I was not approved. I chose to continue to gain more experience in other factions, so I applied to the government faction and was approved. In the past six months, I have completed my monthly quota, made more friends, and of course, gained more experience. Now I think I am qualified to apply to the shrine faction again.
Another reason is that I think the Maiden uniforms are really cute (I'm sure you think so too), they are in cute places wearing cute clothes and doing cute things, I really yearn for it, I have only seen shrines in Japanese animation, this gives me a sense of mystery, I instinctively feel curious, I want to join and experience it.
Here is an anecdote. About 3 years ago, I naively found the shrine leader and asked if I could wear the Maiden uniform. I got a negative answer. And now, I want to really wear it.
As for the IC reason:
Meiqi is a character I created 4 years ago. I used her from Grade 12 - College PHD, and + Judge. This is the character I invested the most in. I used her to participate in clubs, Council, and host activities, this also includes sitting in court as a judge leading the entire trial. I feel that it was all worthwhile, and now I want to continue her story (and experience more) through her.. In the history of the entire SRP server, I left a mark in the corner. She and I have experienced many things together: friends, family, enemies; reluctance, confusion, contradictions; happiness, excitement, passion; sadness, pity, and crying.
I wrote the whole story for her, having gone through all of the above, I intend to continue this story, and my next stop is to join the shrine faction.
What I can guarantee is that I hope and I can stay in the Shrine Faction for a long time and continue to play the character I have invested the most energy in for four years.

What do you currently know about Shintoism? Are you willing to learn more about it?
I just finished a month-long intern, and to be honest, before that, I had never heard of the deeper knowledge of Shintoism, but now I know:
These are what I learned at Intern:
Creation:
When the world was already created, the heavens and the earth was created.
Earth is soup, the potential of life.
First two Kami, Izanami (Female) and Izanagi Instructed to shape the world.
Giant spear can shape the world, stood on bridge between heave and earth, created land with spear.
Descended to land to further pursue goals.
Conducted the first marriage ritual, circle around a sacred pillar
First child lack of bones do to male speaking first. Second made the islands of japan, repeat, made more life, created kami after.
Ritual would end, kami of fire born from her eye, killed the wife, male killed the fire kami, created volcanoes
Yomi, under world, went to yomi to find his wife. She ate the food in yomi you are bound to yomi for eating.
Angered her, chased him from the yomi, he escaped, trapped her, went to cleanse himself.
Yomi is of impurity, and decay.
Cleansing is called Misogi, as he washed his face, his left eye gave birth to Amatersasu (sun), his right gave birth to Tsukuyomi (Moon), nose gave birth to Susanoo (seas, and storms).
Kami:
Izanami (first female)
Izanagi (first male)
Amatersasu (rules the heavens, most worshiped, labeled her brother as evil for killing Uke.)
Tsukuyomi (The Kami of the moon, male, hate each other now, Amatersasu ghosted him, killed Uke.)
Susanoo (Kami of the sea and storms, Hates Amaterasu, casted out for attempting to prank her, killed her maidens with a horse, world got plunged into darkness, leared her out with the kami of the dawn kakura dance, deeply hates what he did, attempts to redeem himself, found a crying family, daughter is dead, orochi serpent would eat their daughter, sake to drink for serpent, once drunk he cut the snake’s heads off, used sword from the snake to make peace, married the daughter)
Kinds of Kami:
Kotoamastukami (heavenly kami):
Created before the heave, first gods. Made universe
Kamiyo-Nanayo(seven generations):
First two kami, created all the others.

Of course, I also learned what a Maiden should do: How to pray and do offerings, how to use temizuya, bowing, how to do a tea ceremony, and finally, how to always be respectful and humble.

These are from DaDankk23, thanks to DaDankk23 for teaching me these in Intern

I also know a little about the shrine faction. I have participated in activities related to the shrine:
The annual New Years Festival: which features fortune slips, fireworks, and of course, a kagura dance. They also sell items and support the shrine's usual activities, such as Tarot cards and Ema.
Weddings: I know that shrines can perform weddings, but I'm sorry that I've never been to a wedding performed by a shrine. I don't know how Shinto weddings are performed, but I would be happy to learn.
(Joe here on March 15th, I just witnessed a wedding that was performed by Evelin R. Löwe-Asōgi, I learned some, but not much, so I'm interested in learning more.)
Funerals: Shrines can also host funerals. I was fortunate enough to see this once during my internship, but I was not impressed by it and I hope I can study it again.
I read the lore about the shrine on the forum that the building was built in 744 and was originally Buddhist, but unfortunately, the building was burned down twice and rebuilt, slowly converting to a Shinto place.
The shrine is made up of five identities, namely: Misue, who is the leader of the entire shrine. Guji, who is the leader of the Priest. Naishoten, who is the leader of the Maiden. There are also ordinary members: Priest and Maiden.

I know some important rules of the shrine:
Respect the shrine and do not climb buildings or go onto their roofs.
There is no GangRP, and fighting outside the dojo is prohibited.
No yelling.
Cleanse self with a temizuya before entering the shrine and bow to the important large torii gate.

Of course, I am sure there is still a lot I have not learned, and I will be happy to learn things about the Shrine that I do not know.

Backstory
Fantasy elements warning!
Meiqi is the eldest daughter of the Ling family. She is optimistic, outgoing, lively, smart, kind, creative, optimistic and impulsive, and adventurous. Her academic performance is poor, and she often compares her grades with her classmate Shi Xiaolong. Because of her poor grades, she was held back in her sister Meixue's class. Despite this, she showed extraordinary talent in painting.
"Shirley, please, teach me, I want to be a fairy!"
In the ensuing confrontation between good and evil, Meiqi showed her courage and tenacity, and eventually defeated the dark forces together with her partners.
After that, she continued to go on adventures with her companions, during which she learned how to dance, how to play the violin, and grew up.

"What? Shirley, are you leaving? No, please don't leave me."
Perhaps, the fantasy story ends here. Although she learned Chinese Kung Fu before graduating from junior high school, she never practiced it in actual combat.
"This is Karakura?" she exclaimed to her sister Meixue
This corrupt city is full of crime and she wants to make a difference, just to try a little, so she joins the Karakura High School Student Council and tries to help everyone in a gentle way.
"No, it's not safe. Listen to me, don't go!"
But it was no use. Her colleague, another Councillor, resolutely went to the police station to report the case. This was the last time she saw him.
"No, this is not true, this corrupt city!"
Perhaps, at that moment, Meiqi really grew up, understood a lot of things, and saw through a lot of things.
Meiqi felt confused. From then on, she no longer cared about the affairs of this city. She believed that this was a corrupt city and thinking too much about it would only increase her sadness.
She locked herself in a cage called school and academics, She chose to forget everything and concentrate on studying. And still want to practice their own justice in school. After more than a year, she finally gave up. She found that she could not change this society or this school. This school was no different from the corrupt city, full of criminals and gangsters.
It was over for now. She gave up. She quit the Council and spent her last few years at school focusing on academics. When she came to her senses, she was already a PhD.
"It's incredible. When I was a kid, I was at the bottom of the exam and was held back." She said self-deprecatingly.
"PhD of Law, Bachelor of Psychology, what's the point? I'm no longer myself."
Yes, Meiqi lost herself. She felt that she was no longer the same person. She became humble, introverted, and natural.
"Sister, what's wrong with you?"
Meiqi's sister's words brought her back to reality when she was confused.
"Yes, what's wrong with me?"
She understood that she still had someone to protect, her sister. Her friend had been taken away from her, and she would not let anyone take away her sister, or take away anything from anyone.
I need to pull myself together, this is my last attempt to rid this city of evil!
She came to the government hoping to become a judge.

The above is the story of Meiqi before she joined the government faction as a judge. Now, let's continue.
Meiqi joined the government faction with fervent enthusiasm. Her official photo in her judge's robes seemed to glare defiantly ahead. She began to witness the darkest side of the city, a series of shocking cases appearing on her desk. While filled with resentment, she also pondered her profession…
"Am I here to punish criminals? Or to protect the human rights of civilians and ensure absolute fairness? But how many criminals will I miss?"
She was caught in a dilemma, lost and confused. Nothing seemed to improve the situation. She could only rely on her professional ethics. She handled many cases with the presumption of innocence. Whether they were truly criminals was highly probable, but she couldn't convict them. Meanwhile, she saw no change in the city; her individual efforts were far from sufficient.
After this, she began to feel lost. Many cases remained unresolved, merely routine tasks like issuing marriage certificates and confirming adoptions. She questioned whether she truly belonged in this profession. She didn't know, perhaps no one else did.
One day, she couldn't take it anymore. She went to the hospital and knocked on the door of a psychiatrist.
"Studying too much law will make people ruthless and eventually lose their humanity, and I feel like I'm stepping into that."
Yes, she felt she wasn't herself anymore, once again, only this time more severely. It was as if another part of her, devoid of humanity, viewing the world solely through the cold framework of laws and rules, had taken over her body, not just at work, but also in her daily life.

"After the operatic scenes unfolding in court, everyone would eventually pass by her, gradually moving away, leaving only Meiqi sitting alone on the high platform, weeping. With that, the filth of her life would be washed away."

"The black judge's robe, bathed in sunlight behind her, seemed to mock everything. She stood up, took her gavel, and stepped down from the judge's platform, slowly walking into the darkness."

The story that follows may show you another person, a completely purified, pure person, silently doing her work in the quietest place in the city.

CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE / SITUATIONS

How does your character act around shrine grounds? How do they interact with guests and other staff?

Normally, she will try to find something to do, such as clearing snow from the shrine in winter, working in the fields, or using a broom to clean the ground. (Or any other duties that Maiden needs to complete.)
When she has nothing to do, Meiqi will sit quietly, perhaps drinking tea, reading a book, writing a paper, or using her phone or computer.
When there are guests, Meiqi will be very friendly. She will be happy to guide the guests, such as doing Ema, performing Omikuji, or making tea and talking for the guests. She will be humble from beginning to end.
When her former colleagues and friends come to visit, she warmly welcomes them, chats with them, and offers and listens to their advice, after all, she was indeed a judge with a doctorate in law.
When she is with her colleagues, she tends to be quiet. She is very happy to make friends. If another shrine member wants to chat with her, she will smile back and be happy to continue.
She may be too humble. She will be respectful to everyone.
This is in stark contrast to her past. The judge who bullied everyone in the court has disappeared. Her eyes have softened, her soul has become pure, and she takes humility as her mission. Perhaps it can be said that the former Meiqi is dead, and only the Meiqi who serves Kami is left.
In general, she is tired of violence and quarrels, she wants a peaceful life, she doesn't want to get involved in things that don't concern her, she thinks it will only bring her trouble, so when facing guests, she basically only does what is within her duties. She thinks the shrine is her home, and other shrine members are her family, she will be friendly and try her best to maintain the cleanliness of this home and the relationship between family members.

You see a guest jumping around the roofs of the building and overall disrespecting shrine grounds, how would your character handle it?
In the past, she would have used her authority to try to stop all of this. Now that she has abandoned everything, she will treat people in a gentler way.
"No, Kami will be angry, Kami is watching everything, please stop what you are doing."
If this doesn't work, she will give up driving away the rude person alone and try to find other shrine members. If other shrine members happen to be away, then she will have to step forward and try to ask the rude person to leave.
"Please leave, you will be punished by Kami."
Meiqi honestly didn't want to get involved in this matter, because a person who climbed up the rooftop was definitely not an honest person or someone who was easy to talk to. She didn't want to cause trouble for herself, but this was her duty, and she also wanted to protect Kami's territory and her own home. In the end, her duty overcame her desire to avoid trouble, and she would try to dissuade him, but it would be difficult for her to be tough in the process of dissuading.
Finally, she will take a deep breath, as if she has found the person she was not herself many years ago, and scold this visitor who disrespects Kami:
"I won't say it a second time. I'm warning you in the name of the shrine's Maiden: leave this area before the Kami unleash their divine punishment."
She secretly used her phone to call the police

Why does your character want to become a shrine maiden/priest? What do they wish to achieve?
Meiqi saw the essence of this city, a corrupt city with no cure. She had tried to change something, but it was useless. She watched her friend walk towards danger and death. She felt unwilling and puzzled at first. Why did it become like this?
She joined the government faction as a judge, making a last-ditch effort to change the city, but she gained nothing but an empty, inhuman version of herself.
"After the operatic scenes unfolding in court, everyone would eventually pass by her, gradually moving away, leaving only Meiqi sitting alone on the high platform, weeping. With that, the filth of her life would be washed away."
After all, she let it go. Maybe it was all arranged by nature, so let it go. Now, she just wants to live a peaceful life.
"Maybe that's where I should go."
She wanted to live a peaceful life and didn't want to be disturbed. She had decided not to care about anything in this corrupt city. She found this isolated shrine to live and look at the city from the perspective of a bystander. She was tired of this corrupt city. She wanted to change something, but reality beat her beliefs again and again. She gave up. Now she just wanted to live a peaceful life.
Meiqi did not believe in Shintoism before, but her ideals were shattered again and again, causing her to fall into confusion and want to forget everything. After a dozen days of intern at the shrine, she believe that she was a member of Shintoism and that the purpose of her life was to serve Kami. In the end, she succeeded.
Her final dance on the courtroom stage came to an end; she bowed to the empty audience.
"The black judge's robe, bathed in sunlight behind her, seemed to mock everything. She stood up, took her givel, and stepped down from the judge's platform, slowly walking into the darkness."
The story that follows may show you another person, a completely purified, pure person, silently doing her work in the quietest place in the city.
She believed that the first 28 years of her life had been arranged for practice, and now she would return to her true purpose of life and live a secluded life and serving the Kami in the shrine.

This may be the best ending.

What are the core values of your character? (OPTIONAL - MORE INFO IN FAQ)
Meiqi used to be cheerful and outgoing, and was sometimes mistaken for a boy. She believed that justice would come soon, and she tried to practice the justice in her heart. She wanted to change some things, but she failed. She began to be unwilling and puzzled, and then reflected.
These feelings translated into anger, and she became a judge to change society and punish criminals.
Finally, she gave up. Maybe she really couldn't change some things, so let it go.
She became humble, introverted, and natural. She believed that these things were arranged by nature, and she would not try to change them again, but she only had one person to protect, and that's Meixue, Meiqi's sister.
But some things will not change. She is always an honest, conservative, and moral person.
And now, she will be given a responsibility, and she will continue to move forward in the shrine with this responsibility, for a peaceful life, to find the truth of life, and to observe this corrupt city.
Meiqi did not believe in Shintoism before, but her ideals were shattered again and again, causing her to fall into confusion and want to forget everything. Later, her psychology changed because of this change. Meiqi is a bachelor of psychology. She knew what the consequences would be if she continued, but she chose not to adjust herself too much. She restrained herself and kept the bottom line (such as not committing crimes), and let the rest develop.
Her experience as a judge accelerated this process; her soul was reborn, pure and innocent, and she almost forgot everything, starting her new life anew.
Finally, her cognition changed. She believed that she was a member of Shintoism and that the purpose of her life was to serve Kami. In the end, she succeeded.

Additional Information
If I successfully join the Shrine, I'm requesting that my 45 Education Credits be put into my Alternate, or that I be given a College B Role in my Alternate. I don't want my months of effort to collect Education Credits to go to waste, and the Shrine Role will take over my Primary.

I'm sorry, I don't have those pretty pictures to decorate my application. I'm not good at making pictures; I think I'm good at writing stories.
In addition, I know that this application is very similar to my previous application, since they are both written by me and are for the same role. I do not think this is plagiarism because they are both written by Joe, which is me.
Finally, thank you very much for reading this application!
