Out-Of-Character Information
What is your Minecraft username?:
NotBaekkie (Alt)
How old are you?:
I am currently 15 years of age.
Do you have any previous bans?:
Yes, two.
  1. Metagame, using OOC info ICly. I did this when I first joined to not lose my character and I didn’t think about the consequences of my actions and got banned for it.
  2. This one was actually a mistake on Im6’s part, I had to go in the middle of roleplay to help my dad do yard work outside and as I was the only one home at the time, I had to help him. His old age makes it harder for him to work outside for long periods of time and he would have been mad if I declined, and Im6 banned me for having to go but unbanned me an hour later. I’m pretty sure I don’t have anymore, but if I do I forgot about them, sorry.
What Country are you from?:
The United States.

Do you have Discord (if so, what is your discord username?):
Yes, Courtney#1699.

Do you understand that most answers are found in the roleplay documents?:
Yes, I do understand that most, if not all answers are found in the roleplay documents.

Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you will be demoted?:
I do acknowledge that if I am inactive, I will be demoted without a proper reason sent in with an inactivity request.

Do you understand that all classroom activity must be documented on the "Teacher Roster" thread?:
I do understand that all classroom activity must be documented on the “Teacher Roster” thread as I have been a teacher before.

Describe your activity on the server & on the forums?:
I would say that I’m pretty active on all of my accounts on the server, except for recently because I’ve had exams and I’ve needed to study for them and make them my priority. On the forums, I’m not technically active, technical wise, but I always check the forums and go through my notification feed.

Trivia
What is your motivation for becoming a teacher?:
Well, I have a lot of reasons for becoming a teacher, but I’ll only list a few of those reasons. The last time I applied, I enjoyed the experience and overall it was a fun time, I would like to experience this again and become a role model to the students ICly. The enjoyment coming from standing in front of students “eagerly” awaiting your lesson to be taught, and participating in your lessons always pushes me to apply for a teacher, again. Not to forget that I would learn things as well through this journey, more about art, how students work and operate, how to be a positive influence in students lives, how to get them ready for college, prepping them and teaching them with the best of my ability, etc. You get me.

Do you have any experience in Roleplaying?:
I honestly have a lot of experience in Roleplaying, especially on SchoolRP. I started roleplaying when I was around 12 years of age, around 2016 to be specific. It started off with one Minecraft server, and I eventually moved onto discord due to their being more ability for detail, then finally back to Minecraft, earning a lot of different ways to roleplay out different situations. On SchoolRP specifically, I’ve worked as a co-owner for Happy Pills, as Security at 11/7 at one point, currently a worker at Jamill’s Retail Emporium, as a Lunchtime Monitor, as an Office Manager, as a History Teacher, and as a Police Officer.

Have you read the Faculty Handbook?:
Yes, I have read the Faculty Handbook multiple times, until it got deleted and replaced. Since I applied for History Teacher previously, I was required to do so and read through it. I have read through the threads that replaced it multiple times as of now and am fully aware of what is on both of them, and what is trying to be conveyed to the reader.

What are the classroom logs and why is it important?:
Classroom logs are what a teacher uses to document what classes they have been having, and how many classes they have been teaching, and is mostly used for the teachers’ boss, or bosses, to make sure they are teaching the students to the best of their ability and aren’t inactive. These can also be used to make sure the teachers are doing their job properly and efficiently.

You want to start a school field trip; how do you do that?:
If I want to start a school field trip, I would go through different requirements than the last time I applied, firstly starting out by filling out an OOC application and an IC application, listing the date of the trip, destination, date of request, my (teacher, hopefully) name, the maximum number of students attending, leaving time, returning time, student fee, the equipment needed and the purpose of the trip. This can either be sent through DMs or on the thread appointed for “School Field Trips”.

As a teacher, what are the strict rules when being in a class?:
As a teacher, my strict rules when being in a class are listed below:
1) Get to class on time, if you arrive late there may be punishments.
2) Be sure to listen to teachers and other employees inside my classroom.
3) Take notes, some of the information said may be used on other assignments/quizzes and/or tests.
4) Be sure to participate in class, and the discussions/lessons.
5) Refrain from talking to friends/classmates during lectures and discussions.
6) Always bring the required materials to my class, unless said otherwise.
7) Do not verbally abuse, harass, or annoy teachers and school employees in my classroom. Always respect them.
8) Ask for help if needed, I will always assist you.
9) No food and/or drinks.
10) No use of electronics during lectures.

Summarize your previous RP experience's (both in general and on SchoolRP):
As said before, I have been roleplaying for a couple of years before I found SchoolRP, and have had lots of different experiences on SchoolRP, police officer, co-owner of a store, manager of a store, history teacher, lunchtime monitor, and office manager as of recent. I have a lot of experience in many different areas of roleplays.

Describe the ranking system of teachers:
- HD:

In charge of the newer teachers and the newer QTLs, planning all of the lessons for the subject that they are assigned to be in charge of, also training the newer teachers and showing them how to do things, and getting them used to the way the high school works. “HD” means “Head of Department”, meaning it is the highest rank out there.
- QTLs:
QTLs’ is the second highest teaching rank and are practically in the middle of the ranking system, decided on what they’re able to do without permission. They are able to do classes whenever they want during their assigned period times (decided in the teacher's lounge) without permission as they are qualified, however, discussing with other teachers is still required, as to what period you are taking, etc. QTLs stands for Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills.
- NQT:
The lowest rank out there in the ranking system for teachers in Karakura, it stands for “Newly Qualified Teacher”. A must is for NQTs to get lesson plans from the Head of Department, and need permission to teach a class. Normally they watch over classes and take notes of how a higher teacher, teaches. They also have to discuss what they plan on doing in the teacher's lounge with the other teachers to get permission and plans lined up with their lessons.

Teacher Knowledge
Present to us your knowledge about Teachers in-game and out-of-game, what purpose do teachers serve. What salary do they get? Include a paragraph about the way teachers teach, what they do in their spare time in general.
Teachers serve multiple purposes and those are to attend to students’ feelings, experiences, and needs; in more detail, teachers have to consider pupils needs and wishes now and in the future, reflect on what might be good for all, and to plan their interventions accordingly. Teaching involves creating an inviting environment and engaging with others so they understand the topic at hand. Teachers have to develop a certain focus in their lessons, they should always be clear about what they’re teaching and trying to get their students to understand their lessons, if a student can’t understand the teacher's lessons then something needs to be changed. Normally teachers get a pay around $58,170. The way teachers teach is in a respectable manner, they often take things slow for the kids that don’t understand what the teacher tries to convey and should be as helpful as possible, helping anyone with an issue they’re dealing with inside and outside of the classroom. They should also act extremely mature yet showing a caring side so the teacher will be respected and this will make everyone in the classroom want to follow the designated rules set by the teacher, so they get his/her approval. What teachers do in their spare time is often related to their jobs! They’ll often conjure up lesson plans and worksheets for the students to do, quizzes to see how much they’ve learned so far, answer keys for the worksheets and quizzes, thinking about ways to get their students respect and multiple ways to give them the most knowledge in a short period of time, making it the most effective, and figuring out ways to let them remember the information he/her goes over in the class; overall a lot of the time they’re working on lesson plans or figuring out ways to help the school out and make it fun for the students going there. This goes for in-game and out-of-game, besides the pay they get, it needs to be changed to yen if talking about in-game.

Why are teachers important to a SchoolRP server?:
Teachers are important to a SchoolRP server because teachers keep the school system in check, and give the students their education, after all, SchoolRP is about school and school can’t be considered school without teachers. If teachers weren’t in SchoolRP, the server would be boring for the students that love attending school and their experience would be ruined without all of the teachers to keep the students in line and discipline them. The students would also get no lessons/lectures, would be bored (for the ones that actually like attending the school), and are needed for the selected school, or schools to function properly and make SchoolRP, well, SchoolRP.

What lesson planning system does the school work on?:
The lesson planning system the school works on is “MoSCo”, which means Must have, should have, could have.

Character Knowledge
Tell us everything you know about the character you will be playing in a few paragraphs. How does he look like? What makes him unique and different? What is his outlook on Students? What about the other teachers? What is his personality like? What is his plan for the future?:
My character has light, straight brown hair and has sharper facial features than most women have, yet they’re still soft. She normally wears cute, yet simple outfits that still fit in professional and acceptable categories for her job. She regards people with a smile on her face but normally is a rather quiet female. What makes her unique and different is the way she goes about things, unlike most, she remains calm and waits until the student or person is done rambling, and then lectures them on what they did was wrong, and overall is a calm and collected person. She won’t lash out, instead, she just waits for the right moment to put her input in, give the correct punishments, etc. depending on the situation. Her outlook on students is simple, they all have issues going on no matter how simple, and they tend to lash out and she understands that, so she will try to get to the bottom of it. She cares about every student and doesn’t want anyone to remain sad when in her presence, she’ll do anything she can to make the students feel happy, and welcomed. She respects the other teachers and doesn’t say much to them, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t like being around them, she is just a quiet person. After all, in her mind, every person deserves respect, and she’ll be the one to give it. Her personality is kind of confusing, she puts on a front that is all sweet and caring, but in reality, she isn't as sweet as one may think, which isn’t a bad thing. She is still sweet, but she has a bit of a temper and normally controls it during her job. She is pretty selfless. Her plan for the future is simple, work at the school until her last days as she enjoys teaching, and will always keep doing that, until the day she dies.

Scenarios
You find a gang of delinquents in the hallway cursing and swearing, what do you do?:

I would walk up to the group calmly, asking them why their behavior is like this and if they continue to curse and swear, I would simply give them a detention and if they don’t attend, a suspension. After that, and when they attend the detention, I would get to the bottom of their behavior and make sure everything is okay at home, no abuse is happening, and everything is okay, as kids tend to lash out when something is upsetting them. Once that is over and done with, I’ll be sure to lecture them on why that behavior is wrong and that they shouldn’t do it again, and then let them leave.

No one in your class is listening to a word you say, what do you do?:
If no one in my class is listening to a word I say, I would slam my hand down onto the table or a notebook onto the board to make a loud noise, effectively distracting them from what they were doing and scaring them into looking at the source of the noise, and then I would lecture them as to why paying attention in class is important, and that this behavior is unacceptable. After that, I would give them an assignment that is more challenging than the one I was going to give previously as a punishment for refusing to pay attention and instead

When in the teacher's lounge, how does your character act?:
My teacher acts serious and only speaks when spoken to. She keeps to herself and often works on anything needing to be done, and isn’t chatty, like most of the other teachers are. She has a sense of respect for them and at least acknowledges them and answers what they ask, simply being a woman of few words.

Provide at least 5 detailed /me's of your character inside a classroom:
/me
The female glares at the disobedient students, picking up one o the notebooks on her desk and slamming it onto the board behind her, smirking as this makes all the students eyes snap to her with scared looks.
/me Picking up a stack of papers reading ‘Assignment’ with the assignment listed below, she walks between the rows and puts one of the papers on each students desk, then walking back up to her desk, scanning the desks to make sure everyone got a paper.
/me Picking out a few select materials and setting them out on her desk, she calls one student up at a time to retrieve their supplies, a small smile on her face as she does.
/me With a glare, she walks over to the disobedient student's desk and as they’re turned around, slamming her hand down onto the desk and looking down at them, uttering one, quiet word, “Detention”, then walking back to her desk as if nothing happened.
/me She clears her throat, slapping her palm onto her desk and surveying the students, beginning her lecture with a smile on her face, in her true element.

Backstory
Arisha has had a tough upbringing, even from when she was born. She was rarely attended to when she was crying out for her mother, due to her father being an alcoholic and getting ‘aggressive’ to say the least. Eventually, a babysitter was hired to take care of her as her mother physically could not. Around the age of 3-4 when she started talking, her father’s anger issues only increased, and whenever she would talk without his permission, she would be slapped, kicked, punched, etc. This taught her not to talk unless spoken to or given permission, which carried out through her adult years and remained there. She would often have a passion for ‘teaching her animals’, where she set them up at a table and went over what she learned new from her tutor that day, and she obviously had a passion for teaching, in her earlier years. Her father just got worse as time goes on, eventually finding out what she did with her stuffed animals and beating her black and blue, and obviously, she was bedridden and decided to stop doing that, to avoid being punished. Around the age of 11, it turns out one of her mother's relatives found out her father was beating both of them and called the police immediately. The police force stormed the house, found her mother first, who had bruises all over her face and then found poor little Arisha crying in the corner, curled up in a ball, begging for her mother. Of course, they bundled her up in a blanket and calmed her down while her mother was being checked out in the ambulance they brought with them. Eventually, the duo was placed into a “safe-house” of sorts, while her father was arrested and wouldn’t see the light of day again, as her mother was on the edge of her life when she was found. Of course, she went back to teaching the other kids in that “safe-house” of hers, which was actually an orphanage, what she knew, but never speaking unless spoken to or they asked. At the age of 15, she realized she wanted to be an art teacher and had a passion for it too. So, she set out and planned out everything for her to become a teacher, nothing really worth noting going on in her life at this time, except that she volunteered at the orphanage she lived in for a long time, teaching them all she knew, properly, about art, and making their little days be brighter and happier, practically filling in for the parents they are missing, then she attended college to become an Art teacher, getting a degree for it and browsing job listings. She found one in Japan, Karakura to be exact, where she took a year off to learn Japanese and then applied. Waiting impatiently, she went up to her mom about it who gave her a hug and reassured her that she would get accepted. Truth be told, she did get accepted around a month later, and she flew her and her mom to Karakura, where she got welcomed, got her job at the age of 25, and is living happily there now. Her past doesn’t bother her as much as it should because she is happy and with her mom, and everything, in the end, got settled. There is never a situation that won’t be settled, it just takes time and patience. In the end, the wait is worth it.
