Previous bans:

I have no bans on SRP! My warn history I believe is only 2 warns [To my knowledge] and I hope to keep it this way.

Describe your activity on the server:

When I first joined this server back in January of 2022 I started out slow like most, Roaming around with close IRL friends as we tried figuring out how the server works and functions, alongside the community itself. After being very lucky with applications, I managed to create a solid and continuously growing friendship group who I make the most memorable moments with. Although my timezone creates barriers with alot of my friends, I've had no issues with staying up till sunrise, and would say I'm a dedicated player. My average time spent on a regular day of SRP would be an estimated 6-9 hours - sometimes even more.

What is your timezone?:

BST/GMT - England

What experiences do you have with roleplay?:

I have been a member of the community since the very beginning of 2022, January. I’ve been involved in a lot, both within CriminalRP, GangRP, MedicalRP and now more recently KPD RP. My first experience with roleplay was actually the former verified Yakuza, Akihito where I eventually ranked up to Soldier and began creating a name for my main character; Skylar T. Tsu! After this I then tried my hand at GangRP, getting involved in a large gang war between Kaku Kai and Bonten where I got to get a first hand experience with how events work on the server as well as it being such a large scale event, the planning process was very intricate and a valuable lesson learned.

After this I had actually become an EMS Surgeon, working my way through training and up to the rank of Attending, following through other tasks such as BMDA, Bounty Hunter and as of most recently; KPD. With this long listed example of work I’ve catered for, My experience on roleplay is well attuned and I hope to continue developing my knowledge even further.

What is your motivation for applying?

To be honest, I miss the faction a lot. It’s something I once heavily focused on as a lover of helping people regardless of circumstance, and It was such unique work that I hadn’t got to work with before that made me immediately fall in love with the job. As a first-aid trained individual, the work I get to learn through EMS greatly helped further my knowledge and I even got to implement my training for real life experiences.

I’ve also noticed just how much work has been put into the faction since I was last a member of it. The effort that has been placed on display is one hard to notice and for that admiration, I'd love to see it flourish even further and I'm happy to say that with such amazing faculty members, It's a warm community to come back too.

Which role are you applying for?
( Doctor, or Psychiatrist):

I will be applying for Surgeon work, Though with the new update this also implies Doctor duties too.

What knowledge do you have of Hospital Work?

Far too much! As I have previously mentioned, I was once an Attending Surgeon as of last year and still hold dearly my EMS notes and training guides. I loved being able to not only help out the community as a whole, but the short time I spent getting to train new coming members to the faculty was truly a heart-warming experience that I wish to eventually relive one day.

However, I’d love to go into some further detail on what it is I know about the faculty, As I am sure many things have changed!

Broken Nose
Hook up IV by finding an available vein. + same with hooking up a Universal O- blood bag. Connect the Heart Rate monitor to the patient’s finger. Once this has been done, Place the Anaesthetic mask over the patient’s airway, asking them mentally to count down from 10, until they become unconscious, then remove the mask. Apply gauze to the patient’s nose area using tweezers, then carefully re-align their nose back into place, bandaging the patient's nose up properly, then waiting for them to regain consciousness.

O
O
O

X-Ray procedure

Take the patient to an X-Ray room, making sure everyone is wearing a lead vest, then after turning the machine to the suspected break area, turning the light off, then retreating to the back room, turning on the machine and asking the patient to /it if it's broken. If the patient has a broken bone, begin to prepare the fibreglass by activating it with water, asking the patient what colour they would like if conscious, then prepare the patient for the cast, by gently wrapping it in cotton cloth, being careful not to injure them, then applying the layers of dyed fibreglass. Once dried, offer pain meds/ crutches!

O
O
O

Missing Limbs

If a patient is missing a limb, begin by inspecting how the cut was made, if the cut was done wonkily, not properly – perform an amputation of the remainder to make a clean cut and then disinfect the wound to prevent any infections. Remove any dead tissue or excess bone with a scalpel and a bone saw. Then close the wound by cleaning, stitching and applying anti-scarring cream and bandage it all up.

PATIENT RIGHTS

- You cannot force a patient into treatment, nor can a friend or family member of said patient. A patient has to consent towards going under any procedure or treatment.

These are just some of the more commonly used step by step instructions on injuries that come in and out of the hospital, along with our very important ‘Must Know’ patient rights!
Something to try to focus on, or rather that I will try to focus on just as before - Is getting as much detail and information on a patient's injuries or needs as possible. This leads to detailed actions and more accurate medical takes on situations! For newer players, This does mean having patience whilst they learn new commands or rules for the server but I’ve always loved teaching new members of the community and hope to further this through EMS work.

Outside of this knowledge of course, We then have each job role.

DIRECTOR:

Has overall responsibility for the operational and clinical management of the hospital. Lead of the overall performance of the hospital including financial sustainability, the emergency medical services, hospital departments, blood banks, clinical teaching services and overall overseeing the entire hospital.

CLINICAL MANAGER:

A clinical manager maintains responsibility for all administrative aspects of a clinical facility. Daily, you might be responsible for onboarding new employees, training existing employees, auditing clinic operations, establishing a budget, reviewing treatment plans, or communicating with executives.

CLINICAL LEAD:

The Clinical Leads manage the nursing and healthcare teams, providing support, development and leadership. Ensuring that care plans are regularly reviewed and updated is an essential part of the role along with practical, clinical care.

Doctors

The same as a a regular surgeon, helping the injured and ill. they are basically the doctor in charge. The difference between attending and residency is a residency surgeon has yet to complete training! They focus on surgeries, scans, x-rays and making sure patients are fit and healthy to leave.
A doctor is tasked with interacting with patients, diagnosing medical problems and successfully treating illness or injury for specifics. However, They can not prescribe a patient with medication. However, these job roles have since been merged and now all sets of duties are everyone's responsibility.

ATTENDING PSYCHIATRIST + PSYCHIATRIST:

Psychiatrists treat people suffering from mental health problems, including depression, anxiety, addiction and personality disorders. They can also offer help and guidance to help clients cope with bereavement, marital or family problems.
PARAMEDICS

A brand new addition to the EMS faction, Paramedics are able to keep calm under stressful and heavy topic situations for catastrophic events, severe casualties and are usually first responders to any 110 call where an individual may be hurt with no way to the hospital themselves.

CLINICAL LEADS:
Just like for most large factions, There are Clinical leads to each category. One for surgeons, one for psychiatrists and another for doctors. As a higher position they are tasked with making sure the members of their faculty are well trained and organised, and have a good understanding about code and ethics.

Do you acknowledge that you’re subject to being demoted at any given time if accepted?

Of course, I will be fully accepting of any demotion given to me for valid reasons.

Do you acknowledge that by applying for this role, you agree to be 100% dedicated to the Hospital Staff role?

I will always give 100% attention to each and every faction I become a part of.

Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are expected to attend or you will be punished?

Yes!

Do you acknowledge that you are NOT to take things OOCly when dealing with training & situations?

I understand this, And will keep it noted for when training and such starts.

The Umbra to her world: The Summary.

Skylar Tachibana Rose was born on July 14th, along with her other two siblings. She had a brother, Kei Rose Tachibana and her sister, Aoife Tachibana Rose. They lived in a small county town in Ireland, named Dundalk, In their family's home brewery as it was known to the public. But there were many things that seemed off about the place, a strange glooming aura that oozed off the industrial-like factory that they called ‘home’. Many of the public residences nearby would often claim to hear loud screams, often a trail of red leading to the door that would be gone by the next morning.. She was born to a difficult life, to parents who neglected, and eventually abused the kids. The mother, Aoki Tachibana, was a half-Japanese half-Russian woman, and the father, Patrick Rose, an Irish man. Her father was a leader of an Irish Mafia, known as “The Rose '', a brutal organisation that had a well built guard of fear from just the mere name. The kids would have to stick together and learn from one another. Skylar, being the oldest of the siblings, was forced to learn a lot of the more violent side of the family's true works. From the age of 6, she was fully trained in knife throwing, fundamentals of boxing and some small kick manoeuvres. By the time her brother Kei turned 10, he had passed his home-schooling on business orders. Her sister Aoife, She was the most neglected. Her family saw no use for her and it was a rare opportunity that the triplets got to see one another. As they grew older, they would constantly hear deals from her father. Many of these under-the-table deals were heard by Skylar, who then took the knowledge of them and self taught herself the Gaelic language. Due to being targeted for the more heavy hitting tasks, Skylar had pestered her mother to teach her basic first aid so that those she injures can be treated on sight. This all changed when she turned 13. Her father discovered his wife was apart of a Russian mafia, a spy, who was trying to take down “The Rose.'' In his fit of rage, he killed one of the triplets, Skylar’s sister, by decapitating her with the family Fire-Axe.

Skylar and her brother had just come down to the office after hearing screams from her mother just prior. Once they burst through the door, two of her father’s henchmen grabbed them, tying them to chairs, and had the members of his mafia slice their bodies repeatedly with the same Fire- Axe that was used for her sister's neck, just lifelessly lying in front of them. Once the slashing had paused, the same two men brought over metal clamps, placing them on each of the two siblings's eyes. Her mother, Aoki had been pretty badly beaten up and was struggling to stand up on her own. You see, to the people who did know the real truth about the rose’s, all knew who was killed or dealt by them. Their trademark was stamping a hot iron onto the skin of their victims, the shape of a rose. So in good old fashioned Rose style, her father grabbed the gasoline and began to pour it over Aoki, setting her alight. The kids were forced to watch this happen, having their eyes clamped open. The slashings continued. The Fire-Axe never dug into their skin deep enough, just leaving scattered scars across their bodies. Skylar took the opportunity, kicking back with force on her chair, having one of the Fire-Axe cut the rope that bound her. She took the Fire-axe and freed her brother, but at this moment, her father splashed acid at her, scarring her face horribly.

She would run the Fire-axe through him, ending his miserable life, and freeing the family from the abuse. Skylar would flee to Korea, while her brother went to Russia. After moving to Korea, she would get a personal trainer, who taught her how to fight. More specifically, jiu-jitsu and kickboxing. She would also learn how to speak Korean from this man, who she grew close to. It would take her 4 years of constant relearning how to speak, from reading, writing, listening, and learning but eventually she grasped the language, even gaining the odd compliment from the natives. Up in the mountains of Geumjeongsan around Busan, Her and Myeonha had gone through vigorous training day in and day out. He taught her further intel on how to approach people, how to mask emotions, and even how to treat deeper wounds. Not a day went by during the time she spent in Korea where she didnt think about her brother. He was the only one she had left. But he was out in Russia, training with the natives there just as she had been doing. Eventually, Skylar left Korea after her trainer passed away of illness, and took herself to the streets of Japan. An old traveler had asked in broken English if she spoke Japanese. She would admit, it was very little, but with it in mind he told her to head to Karakura. A strange cryptic message as she began to walk away. . .

“I hope you do more good than damage.”

{only a small rough version of the original backstory. The og one is over 10k words . . .}

More about her childhood:

Skylar and Kei's bedroom was cruel. Deep underground in the basement of the brewery/family home was a bricked off section where laid out torn blankets and a pillow propped up by rocks displayed on the damp and rustic floor. The room was completely jet black with blue mould crusted into the corners. Skylar's sister, Aoife, was always falling ill due to the living conditions. When Skylar and Kei split ways to different parts of the world, Skylar met a blacksmith up in the mountains, the same man who taught her almost everything she knew from emotional control, her current day fight style and craftsmanship. Skylar grew a strong passion for designing and creating her own weapons, though much preferred fighting by hand. She loved the whole process, from moulding, wiring, polishing and much more.

Kei and Skylar's dynamic is rather strange. The two have grown so comfortable around one another that it's hard to decipher anything with them. They both know of each-others capabilities, downsides, flaws etc. It almost seems like they have a 6th sense when it comes to understanding the deeper meaning behind their words or actions.

SECTION 2: MEDICAL HISTORY
What is your character’s medical speciality? Why did they choose this focus?
(Ensure this is appropriate to the position you have chosen)

Looking through Skylar’s training specialising with blades, her surgery work on skin is always coming out on top. With her own scars and such, Skylar has honed her skills in creating stitch like patterns that will reduce scar tissue and scarring on the skin as minimal as possible. On Top of this, with this woman’s keen eye, she is able to tell what weapon exactly was used on the skin and body by just a few seconds of glancing, taking things into account such as:

Wound size.

Carve shape.

Angle of wound.

Discoloration on the skin.

Blood splatter patterns.

With this knowledge, she can then use her years of medical experience both out on the quite literal fields and in the classroom to safely stitch up any puncture wound accordingly.

Furthermore, Skylar’s knowledge on Neurosurgery is vastly detailed. Typically, most know this as your standard brain surgery, However Skylar’s area is the entire nervous system. Why it shuts down, how it can be damaged and much more. She hasn’t limited herself to just brain surgeries, but has extended her research on spinal chords, spinal columns and the peripheral nerves that are within the whole body. Due to her own injuries, Skylar has taken it upon herself to educate fully on the matter of why our nerves don’t repair themselves when traumatic damage occurs on the skin, and how to treat this. She uses techniques such as:

O
O
O

Direct nerve repair:

Suturing or sewing the nerve ends together. Glueing the nerve ends together with a special type of glue.

Stereotactic Surgery:
using cannula or electrodes to locate small brain structures. By using an MRI scan to locate the exact area, Skylar can precisely pinpoint safe paths for brain tumours.

Although Skylar is fully capable of all of these to an impressive standard, her most precise and clear understanding regarding everything is:

TRAUMA SURGERY.

Not surprising to say the least, but Skylar’s knowledge on traumatic injuries and how to treat them goes far and beyond the textbook…almost to a rather concerning detail.

This involves things such as gunshot wounds, stabbings, puncture wounds, bone breaks or injuries created due to forceful impact on the body. With her knife- I mean, Scalpel skills, No one needs to worry about their treatment under her surgery lights.

What medical residencies did your character take after medical school?

After Skylar had graduated from medical school, it was actually her professor who had referred her to a neurology residency which is where she furthered her research in the large and ever growing topic of neurology and neurosurgery.

Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?

Skylar’s twin brother, former attending surgeon for Karakura’s finest hospital, had moved out to a different hospital in Kyoto. Here, Skylar was offered some intern work where she trained hard to work herself up to an emergency response specialist alongside getting to sit in on highly respected neurosurgeons for 4 years.

Has your character completed any additional schooling?

She has not, outside of medical school.

SECTION 3: CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE
Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique?

General Appearance

She had a lean and muscular build, standing at 6'3. Skylar had thick, beach waved hair that seemed uncut for decades, waving down to her lower back in a deep blood-fire red. She had piercing cerulean blue eyes that seemed chilled, each time you made eye contact with her felt like a threat. Her forehead would be covered in a large acidic scar along with 2 deep carvings. One was a noticeable ‘X’ on her left shoulder, and it would seem the familiar Akihito Pin logo would be across her back, carved in poorly and harshly. The rest of her body would be covered in what appeared to be slash- like scars, as well as a small scar running on a slight diagonal on her right cheek. For tattoos, she had a full sleeve of a Irezumi sleeve on her right arm, a full thigh of rose petals connecting one another, a single black band on her bicep and a dagger on her right calf that would be matching with her twin brother, Kei. Her face seemed to rarely move or falter from a blank and unreadable expression, she spoke with a light Irish accent that was rather deep for a woman. It was a soothing voice. She smelled like coconut and Lavender. she would be missing her left pinkie, the scar on the remaining stub looking fully healed and rather old looking. Skylar also would have a tongue piercing; a black metallic ball stud placed in the centre as well as a singular eyebrow piercing.

Personality:

"I have been told I care too much. I would describe myself as a work first person, blunt and. . .well I'm not sure what else."

Skylar is a woman of very many layers. Predominantly to most she is a well rounded, level headed and blunt woman of a serious nature. She often pushes herself off as stern, cold and overall emotionless. To those who know her more than that, she is extremely hard working, never seeming to catch a break. She has a very strong work attitude and her lack of pop culture knowledge often leads her to being the jokester of a group, despite it not being her intention. To close friends and family she is incredibly strong minded and caring, always looking out for anyone and everyone around her no matter what side they are on. She has a big soft spot for animals and young children. Though she very very rarely smiles, she always does her best in repaying those who help her out. Though she does her best to help, Skylar's line of work and inability to not follow orders often gets in the way of her social life, creating a barrier for her mentally that stops the opportunity to get close with people. She despises the wealthy, often hiding her own wealth so as not to categorise among-st them.

Voice.

Skylar’s voice has always been rather low, slow talking and melodic. She doesn’t like to waste time using words in sentences that she doesn’t believe are necessary which often pins her as rude or too blunt. Due to her past places of residencies, Skylar’s Japanese is sometimes mixed with hints of an Irish accent or Korean pronunciation, as she herself is Irish, and grew up in Busan, Korea predominatly.

How does your character act on and off duty?

Almost the exact same, Skylar is a very sought out member of the public, having eyes on her at all times; both good and bad. Since first joining the Akihito clan business, Skylar’s reputation has remained pristine and crisp, being a woman of high standards and respect. She does not surround herself with ‘pointless’ friendships and trains hard throughout her free time to keep up with both her physique and mindset.

Does your character function better on their own or with others?

Skylar Tsu has always hated being surrounded by too many people, and will often limit herself to who she lets work alongside her. But despite her distaste for working with others, she isn’t naive enough to believe she can achieve everything on her own and will force herself to work alongside others if she deems it necessary. Ninety percent of the time, she will choose to work alone if she can help it. Possibly a side of her extremely high trust issues, or fearing getting too close to people; Regardless, this is how she has always been.

What plans does your character have for the future?

Skylar’s long line of work experience seems to be growing further and further. She plans to continue developing her skills as a Neuro and Trauma surgeon, hopefully aiming for a high level promotion once her work and training is viewed by the director. Skylar once this to be her last job for awhile, being finally fed up of being an errand worker for nearly two decades of her life. Having owned her own club, Skylar has decided the position of management was much more to her liking, rather than taking orders, and hopes to prove herself worthy of that title here in Karakura’s hospital.

How is your character perceived by others? How does it contrast with their perception of themselves?

[This information was gathered ICLY and from close friends/workers.]

T.H: “Skylar has built up her reputation from both her standing within the community and the amount of various roles she’s acquired over the years of living here. She has incredible ties and relations with many powerful positions and her hard work is clearly on display for those who have known her a long time. She can be somewhat intimidating but once you scoot past those eyes of hers, You realise she’s not…too bad.”

M. O’S.: "Skylar? She is the first person I could see as a mentor. When I first moved here and made a.. wrong turn in life.. She was there to teach me how to protect myself. Hell- She even did it while growing a life inside of her! Tell me that isn't amazing. She is one of the strongest people I know, physically and mentally. I respect her with all of my being. I doubt I'd be the first person she calls for help, but I would be the first to drop anything and go to her if she ever asked."

K.T "MAMA! She is super strong and powerful and beautiful! She is the best mother in the world! Like, I bet she could beat up your mom too- anyways! She taught me everything I know! I wish she would let me eat more cake, but I guess buying it with her money secretly works too.. I DIDN'T SAY THAT! I love my mama. She's my hero!"

K.E: “Ah..Miss Tsu. Well When we first met she was, rather intimidating looking, cold too. You can tell she has many walls up to hold people back- safe distance so to say. I was lucky to be able to get over the walls for a short period of time and meet a woman with a much more complex personality.

S.K: “Strong willed, She builds up a rough outer shell to protect herself because she fears letting people in because they'll end up hurting her and when that time comes she shuts down, She can barely stand to look into their eyes so she forces herself to alter her memory but at times it becomes futile, She finds it difficult to believe in those once again afterwards, She's gone through wars and all of that and solidified an image of being a tough soldier who will work themselves to the bone and tries ignoring her emotions, She fears witnessing one she tried to protect so hard wind up dead because of her own 'weakness' and inability to sacrifice herself for them, She'll do anything to protect her family.

J.S.T: “At times hard to befriend/get to know her, scary at times, but when you do get to know her and befriend her, she's kind, empathetic, helpful. As Shoji said, strong willed, goes to great lengths protecting those who are close to her. At times doesn't take care of herself when she needs to do so, hardworking and tactical too.

[These are honorable mentions from close friends who have known her since almost joining SRP.]

Skylar's Perspective:

"To truthfully perceive myself.. I can only comment on the things always brought up. Ambitious, hard working. I often find myself unable to step out of that constant work mode and save time for others in my life. I'll always place my family first, always did. My children are what keep me grounded and I intend to do my best to keep this that way. As for the rest...well, Find out yourself. "
