I get on around nighttime for me due to college in the morning, I am mostly active on Thursdays Fridays and Saturdays which are my free days. if we are talking about actual activity, I walk around and do nothing on my main account that's why I am applying for this job, to have more things to do on the server. my alt is for attending classes and events and trying out HS teams. and when I am not active is it probably because I am studying or extremely tired.

What experiences do you have with roleplay?:
I started roleplaying on Minecraft in 2014-2015 on other servers before I joined SRP, it was usually horror or city related roleplays back then. My experience with SRP started in 2020, I was involved with FamilyRP, BusinessRP, GangRP, RomanceRP, and JobRP.

I was involved in Family RP when I started joining families, I joined around 3 families by adoption and 2 families by marriage. Business RP where I joined SRP organizations as a tailor, I joined 2-3 tailor servers, and 1 of them is an icly tailor business. Gang RP, I joined 2-3 gangs and one crime family with a little bit of experience with combat detail RP, this phase didn’t last long due to most of the gangs I join disbanding. I was involved in Romance RP in both a high school and adult way, this also included detail RP, marriage, and divorce.

On February 2022 I got accepted as a professor and taught sociology and drama for 5 months before quitting, getting this role really exposed me to a new way of roleplaying such as hosting classes, hosting detention, and having interesting conflicts between the faculty and my character.

What is your motivation for applying?
Ever since I quit professor I have had nothing to do on the server on my main account, I get on, walk around for a bit then log off, I chose to apply for the EMS faction, in particular, psychiatrist because I am really interested in psychology and I have been studying it for some time now, I think applying for this role will give me the motivation to get on more and interact with more people on the server whether it is oocly or icly, patient or staff, also this would be a new roleplay experience for me since I have not worked in the hospital before.

This will also make SRP more interesting for me since working in a hospital will be way more different than a staff member in a school, the school system and the hospital system are not the same on the server and in real life. Also, I feel like hospital staff members avoid trouble way more easily than school staff members such as people who fail RP and they have a much easier schedule which is flexible, they get to work whenever they want but fulfill a certain amount of quotas, not so sure if that’s how it works though.

Which role are you applying for?
(Surgeon, Doctor, or Psychiatrist):

Psychiatrist

What knowledge do you have of Hospital Work?
Hospital Directors:

Hospital directors are like the managers and programmers for the hospital, in some rare cases they have the ability to create new surgical procedures, ****yze other workers' activity, and make sure they are doing their job correctly, making sure the patients are receiving good quality care. These people represent the hospital so their reputation is extremely important, they manage the hiring, training, promotion, and firing of staff.

They improve the hospital’s health care system to be more flexible for patients and hospital workers and also develop new policies to provide safety for the workers and patients. Hospital directors must have good leadership skills, communication skills, decision-making skills, and problem-solving skills.

Doctors:
Doctors, also known as M.D which stands for Medical Doctor are responsible for check-ups, diagnosis, and sometimes small surgical procedures, they consult with the patient and the caregivers to inform them about the symptoms and the future health plan they placed down, their main goal is to treat injuries and illnesses. Depending on the doctor’s specialty, their responsibilities are different, for example, an ophthalmologist is responsible for treating patients’ eyes, but in SRP, all doctors are responsible for all patients’ illnesses.

Doctors also prescribe patients with medicine which are included in the health plan they organized to fit the patient’s symptoms, they also help in emergency rooms and surgery rooms for extra assistance for a surgeon.

Surgeons:
Surgeons are commonly responsible for major surgical procedures, they can identify a condition by using ex-rays and many other medical scanners, and they are assisted by nurses and other doctors during surgery most of the time. Their job is the riskiest and most dangerous due to the chances of losing a patient.

Psychiatrists:
Psychiatrists’ main goal is to help patients mentally and in some cases physically, they focus on preventing psychological issues, and identifying what a patient may have by talking and listening to them in therapy sessions that they hold frequently. After a few therapy sessions are held, psychiatrists have enough information to diagnose the patient, and after that, they discuss the treatment plan that is tailored for the patient. They offer non-medical assistance and in some extreme cases, they offer medicine to relieve the patient. Some of them offer brain scans to determine if they have any neuropsychological abnormalities such as schizophrenia, depression, or bipolar disorder.

Do you acknowledge that you’re subject to being demoted at any given time if accepted?
Yes, I do understand

Do you acknowledge that by applying for this role, you agree to be 100% dedicated to the Hospital Staff role?
Yes, I have no problems with that

Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are expected to attend or you will be punished?
Yes, makes sense

Do you acknowledge that you are NOT to take things OOCly when dealing with training & situations?
Yes, I understand

Backstory (100+ Words)

Childhood
When Kaito was 10 years old, his father was fired from his job for harassing coworkers and laziness. This father took out his anger on Kaito's mother, hitting her and yelling about the most absurd things you can imagine while inebriated from his night outs. Kaito really admired this father and was upset that this family had changed so much as a result of one mistake his dad made.

On the day of his 13th birthday, three years later, his parents got a divorce, and Kaito's mother moved out to live with his grandma (her mom) in Japan. At the time, Kaito was already dealing with bullying at school because he liked boys and girls, and since his mom was the only one who accepted him, her departure meant that he would be left with his violent, homophobic father alone. Before he left for school, his father would taunt him, and after he got home from school, they would argue. On occasion, but not often, he would hit him. Kaito's father constantly brought women over and made a lot of noise, making it impossible for Kaito to fall asleep at night.

Teenhood
Kaito turns 16 after 3 years have passed. Around the time Kaito turned 14, his father began hitting him; as a result, Kaito would spend the night at his best friend's house to get away from him. Since middle school, Kaito and Ju-won have been close friends. Ju-won is well aware of Kaito's family issues; the only thing he was unaware of was Kaito's sexual orientation because he didn't want to tell him. Ju-Won was a great friend to Kaito, supportive, funny, and kind.

When Ju-Won's parents learned about Kaito's bullying and family issues, they decided they didn't want Ju-Won to hang out with him any longer. As a result, Ju-Won stopped hanging out with Kaito, leaving Kaito alone once more. Kaito called his grandpa and begged him to move in with him because he was sick of living with his dad and couldn't take it any longer.

He never saw his mother, father, or Ju-Won again as he tried to move on and forget about them. He lived with his grandfather until he reached 18 and then traveled to Japan to live alone.

Adulthood
A year later, he began college, which was very stressful for him because he was in a foreign country with people he didn't know and had to consider his future and career. Kaito, as we all know, is not talented in anything, so he looked through all the possible majors and only one of them caught his attention: "Sociology and Psychology." He thought it would be an enjoyable subject so he applied for it, and he didn't have many difficulties studying it because it was very easy for him. After receiving excellent grades four years later and feeling pleased with himself for once, he enrolled in TESL classes to improve his teaching abilities to become a teacher.

When he was 23 years old, Kaito began working as a sociology teacher for high school students in an international school in Tokyo. He remained there for about 8 years before receiving a call from a nurse informing him that his grandfather was ill. Kaito returned to Karakura to care for his relative, but when his grandpa passed away, he was devastated and unable to return to Tokyo, so he applied to become a professor at Karakura College at the age of 33.

A couple years later, he quit his professor job to rest, this job made him so drained that he stayed unemployed for a few months, he used that time to pick up on his drawing and painting hobbies he had when he was younger, he adopted more kids around that time and had a few part time jobs. He then remembered his old goals of becoming a psychiatrist and began to study again to improve his knowledge of psychology to apply as a psychiatrist.

SECTION 2: MEDICAL HISTORY

What is your character’s medical speciality? Why did they choose this focus?
(Ensure this is appropriate to the position you have chosen)

Clinical Psychology and Educational Psychology

Kaito has always been interested in studying human behavior and actions since he was a child, he always wanted to know why his family treated him so horribly and why he was bullied in school, he knew many people suffered from the same events as him and wanted to know the effects of these situations. He first started studying clinical psychology which is more related to behavioral and mental disorders, as he got into it more he realized that the smallest things done to a child can lead to permanent problems as they get older, and he can see the world around him were very unaware of the way it can affect people’s lives forever, this was in his college years, he took psychology in college to be able to help people suffering from the same situations he was put in and other severe situations that can ruin someone’s mental health. Psychology also helps him interact with people better as they learn the personality traits and attitudes of others, this was good for Kaito because he was not so good at making friends in the past.

As he finished college he got into educational psychology more, which is studying how people learn and gain knowledge, he studied this to make it easier to become a teacher in the future as teachers also help children with their mental health in a way. He wasn’t certified to become a psychiatrist yet so he thought the best option in his time was to become a professor and teach other people psychology to prevent trauma and behavioral problems in the future.

He has not yet worked at a hospital, he only worked as a teacher and professor

Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?
He was trained in the hospital in the fourth year of college in an internship, other than that, no work experience in medical positions.

Has your character completed any additional schooling?
Yes he has

SECTION 3: CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE

Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique?

Kaito is a half-Korean, half-Japanese male in his thirties, he stands at 6 feet tall with a thin but well-built body, and he has naturally black hair and dark green eyes that compliment his pale skin. His expression is always very calm and relaxed, he has a bit of a sleepy look most of the time but it is just his resting face. When talking to him he has a soft smile on his face and rarely looks upset or angry, he has a very friendly aura and speaks in a deep calming tone.

What makes him unique is his personality, he can be extremely kind at times, even to people who do not deserve it, he is a people pleaser as he sees this as a good way of making people like him but sadly it does not always turn out this way, it is one of his bad habits. It takes him a while to snap at people, his boundaries are very limited, and he has no forgiveness for people who crossed these boundaries.

How does your character act on and off duty?
On Duty

Kaito would leave the same kind expression while carrying out his duties at the hospital, before starting he would greet his co-workers first. He would be found either in the break room trying to collect himself, or at the front desk waiting for patients in need of help in any way, this is the way it would work if he didn’t make friends at his job, if he did know some of his co-workers, he would ask them if they needed any help with anything before starting his own work. He is less talkative than observant so he would communicate less with his co-workers than with his patients. Kaito would treat everyone in a formal way, whether they were younger or older than him, he would call his co-workers by their surname or family name no matter the age.

When a patient is in need of his help, he would kindly ask them if they came for a diagnosis or therapy, and after that, he would escort them to his workplace where he would perform his sessions. He would try his best to make the patient comfortable, such as by asking fun questions or reassuring them. After the patient is in a good state of comfort, he would start with the important guidelines of the session such as “everything said in this room will stay in this room”. He would remain to have a calm expression no matter what the patient is talking about but listening for important details related to his work. After the session is over he would send the patient off with a soft smile and tell them they can come back anytime.

Off Duty
Kaito does not have much to do outside of work, he is most likely in his apartment resting or sleeping or at the beach on a stroll, when his kids are in town, he would hang out with them for a bit before they leave again. Kaito barely talks to his friends or relatives, the only communication he has is with his children. Other than interactions, he really enjoys cooking and painting, these are the only two hobbies he is focused on at the moment, he would either cook for himself or his kids and sometimes he would cook something for his friends and gives it to them when they are in town. The lighthouse is also a place where he goes to clear his mind. He also really likes drinking, if he is alone and bored he is going to most likely drink until he is passed out.

Does your character function better on their own or with others?
Kaito functions better on his own, he was never comfortable with working or being bossed around by other people, but if he needs to he will. Working alone helps him not worry about other people’s judgment and helps him think and organize his thoughts better. The only times he worked in a group were in college and high school.

What plans does your character have for the future?
Helping people was always his future goal, whether it was mandatory for his job or for personal reasons. Seeing people struggle really bothers him so he does anything he can to help them, such as adopting abandoned children or helping the poor in any way. Having a job that helps people constantly was a goal he had since he was a kid.

He also plans to make his family bigger in the future whether it is merging with another family or adopting more children.

How is your character perceived by others? How does it contrast with their perception of themself?
Kaito is perceived as this chill and relaxed guy, nothing seems to bother him that much and also comes off as flirty from time to time but with a lot of self-control, when someone is disrespecting him, he still treats them with kindness. He always looks tired and sickly to others, some of his previous children perceived him as an alcoholic from the amounts of times he was drunk around them.

However, Kaito perceives himself differently, he has many things bothering him and is not always relaxed inside, he tries to make his life easier and not show the people in front of him how he truly feels to avoid any questions or worries. He also does not see himself as a flirty person, he is just too caring at times or too well-mannered, which people are not used to. He also thinks he does not drink that much and his children were overacting.
