What experiences do you have with Roleplay?:

In Past I have played in the following RPGs where I interacted with people on roleplay based engagement: Twin Saga, Dragonica, Aura Kingdom, Guild Wars 2, Genshin Impact.
I officially joined on SRP around 2022. I have had various testing of terminology and community wise base. Around mid-June was a time when I got into detailed roleplay and began making my own character lore. I personally never enjoyed gang play, thus I started making friendly roleplay engagement, went to romance roleplay, family roleplay, basic sparring content, jock RP, cooking RP, aiding RP.. In short, I devised all basics to make entertaining and funny roleplay creating quality time for people and myself.

Whenever I roleplay I try to focus on my character and rational wise actioning, which wouldn't break reality code. At times due to SRP rules realistic roleplay doesn't always turn out, thus some questioning moments appear, but regardless I stay to enjoy time on server and engage with friendly people I meet.

Evaluating SRP as game community, I won't say it is ideal - just like in life there is nothing perfect, game always has opportunities and ways to grow. The server is promising and as recent client I am satisfied with delivered atmosphere of the play. While I have time I will do what I can to make worthwhile roleplay and maybe come up with suggestions for the server.

If you seek the level of my current detailing feel free to message me on discord and I will provide relative examples of actioning and emoting, related with EMS.

Example: (please keep in mind, questions are based on real-life question methods I was thought to)
[…]

Yamaro: While waiting for the kettle.. Dr Kurose sat comfortably in his office chair, adjusting the soft lighting to create a warming and inviting atmosphere. He’d be carrying a folder with a list of files in it. Opening and taking XXXX YYYY’s patient's file, familiarizing himself with their history and concerns. As he’d stop by certain file parts he’d look up. With a smile on his face, he’d move slightly in angle facing the patient. “Yes dear, I see. Do you mind if put our day’s session on recording? We can compare it to later ones to see progress, as some stages may involve similar practice.” He’d wait for them to respond..

[…]

[!]Kettle boiling would tick sound *BEEP* letting people know it is ready for serve[!]

Yamaro: “Excellent! And don’t worry let me know we can stop at any point, your say controls the process” Opening a wooden box on the table, Dr Kurose took out the medical recorder, testing the process. "3, 2, 1.. [!]he’d say the formal introduction part[!] all right it is working, dear why don’t you tell me about the progress from last session you had or any marks that made a change? If it was the same could you still remind me of what you have been up to through last week." He’d said it calmly smiling, as he stood up walking over to the patient. Kurose would kneel down and hold the hand of patients taking a look at them. He’d noticed the patient's nervousness and offered a reassuring smile to ease their anxiety. “Don’t rush, take your time dear. You said you want to overcome your weakness, so let’s do it slowly step by step. You are not obliged to force the answers, do it as you calm down.” He’d stood up gone to the drawer next to where the patient sat, took out a plushie bunny with the patient’s label on it and handed it to them, he’d then walked over to the counter with the kettle and their prepared cups with hot chocolate powder. He’d take the kettle from the heating tray and pour water slowly into the cup, at the same time, listening to patient.

[…]

Yamaro: "Thank you for telling me about your previous week’s experience. As of it we can establish rapport on…” he introduced the topic, picking up covered from spillage cups and placing it down on the table. "Please feel free to remove the lid whenever I poured in the Soi milk as asked for. In any case, we have the next hour to focus on you and your well-being regarding the mentioned incident and the relation causing the trauma to it..."

[…]

Yamaro: Dr. Kurose would close the file and open his note, ensuring focus as he listened to the patient he’d write down outlined sentences he would be aware at current. Sitting across from the patient, maintaining an open posture that conveyed their genuine interest in their story. He’d began by asking a few light, ice-breaking questions “Alright so how do you think this affected [!]…[!]small talk aimed to build rapport and help the patient feel more at ease.

[…]

Yamaro: Once they engaged in conversation, Dr. Kurose actively listened to the patient's concerns, nodding thoughtfully and making eye contact to show their undivided attention. He allowed the patient to express themselves freely, he’d sit down own beanie relaxing and creating a manner of safe space for their emotions to be acknowledged and validated. As heard of story told, he'd express a commentary question "I see, would you say that is something that raises your stimuli to be aware of it and work around it?"

[…]

Yamaro: With empathy and understanding, Dr. Kurose asked open-ended questions, gently exploring the patient's experiences and emotions. “[!] … [!]” He paraphrased their words to ensure she had an accurate understanding of their story. "It sounds like you've been going through a lot lately. How have these challenges been affecting you?" he inquired, own tone gently and compassionate.

[…]

Yamaro: Dr. Kurose maintained a non-judgmental stance, emphasizing role of which was to support and guide rather than criticize or blame. He’d reassured the patient that seeking help was a courageous step towards their well-being and that she was there to provide a collaborative and confidential environment. Slowly moving lips getting more interested in the case. “I see.. and how would you say this reflected on the terms of your social skills?”

[…]

Yamaro: As the patient shared their thoughts and feelings, Dr. Greene made sure to summarize and validate their experiences periodically. "I appreciate you sharing this with me. It takes strength to open up about such personal matters," he said, acknowledging their bravery and fostering a sense of trust.

[…]

Yamaro: “… [!] Towards the end of the interview, Dr. Kurose addressed the patient's expectations, discussing the evaluation process and potential treatment options. He would have explained that they would work together to find the best approach tailored to the patient's unique needs [!] ..." Dr Kurose would stop the recorder, shutting down own notes and giving the patient genuine gesture glance "Your input is crucial in determining the next steps. We will create a treatment plan that aligns with your goals and preferences," he assured the patient, encouraging their active participation in their growth journey.

What is your motivation for applying?

From community side, I am very keen towards EMS roleplay and observed it for long time now and would love to try it myself. I have versed and passed through EMS internship. One of the basic reasons I want to apply is that creating a character who could be a role model to their duty, with dramatic past and honest about their wish to 'help' others in the field they specialize best. This type of perspective in character I'd like to devise & something that is interesting to me. After long consideration the EMS role is one I would like to accomplish with the gameplay locus: delivering exciting and engagement promoting content for players, alleviating personal character lore and building a content of  joy and vibe for others. And so there multiple parts I come across when describing my desired role.

For me roleplay is something I can get out of reality and release daily stress. Being a part of faction would benefit me as a client who is interested in game-phase growth of SRP.

Which role are you applying for?

Psychiatrist

What Knowledge do you have of Hospital Work:

EMS Psychiatry role

In the serious world of Karakura EMS, psychiatrists play a crucial role in providing specialized care to citizens (children and adults) suffering from mental health issues and individual cases/relationships. Within a hospital setting, their expertise and training are indispensable in addressing the unique needs of individuals experiencing psychological needs and those that are vitally open to distress.

First and foremost, psychiatrists of EMS in hospitals are responsible for diagnosing and monitoring disorders faced within the field. They utilize their extensive knowledge of psychology and psychiatry to assess patients, conduct thorough evaluations, and identify the underlying causes of their symptoms (alternatively engaging other faction bodies if 'patients' have both physical and mental cases, however, in the server it is minimized to not flood the play). Through careful observation and assessment, psychiatrists can accurately diagnose conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder, among others (aka confirming OOC information with players about what they expect their characters to go through). This diagnostic process is critical as it forms the basis for developing appropriate treatment plans whiting speech therapy which is mainly used method in EMS, not mentioning the mediational drugs.

Once an appointment diagnosis is established, psychiatrists collaborate with EMS professionals (and OOC facts stated on character) to develop comprehensive treatment plans for their patients. These plans often involve a combination of medication, psychotherapy and conversational engagement between Clinician and patient. For instance, psychiatrists closely monitor the effects of prescribed medications, adjusting prescriptions as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes and minimize side effects for Karakuran patients. They also provide guidance and support to patients and their families (if it involves family rp matters), educating them about the condition, treatment options, and coping strategies if it is needed.

Psychiatrists in hospitals also play a vital role in crisis intervention. They are skilled in managing acute psychiatric emergencies, such as patrols, going around city streets and ensuring town-hosted venues do not result in incidents, or providing first aid when patrols collide in incident town. In emergency departments, psychiatrists are often called upon to conduct urgent assessments and determine the appropriate course of action. Their expertise helps ensure the safety and well-being of patients during critical moments. Nevertheless, as clinicians they are given a first aid box and are obliged to help when it is needed, ensuring surgeons make it in time to save patients. Additionally, EMS are provided with self-defense tools incase they get attacked by gang members.

Furthermore, psychiatrists contribute to the multidisciplinary teams within hospitals. They collaborate with School work events giving students overview of what they are, train interns from college, make events related with nurses and medical base staff, sometimes involved in assisting KPD in deception ****ysis of caught suspects (though it is factual in certain parts of the world, never saw it happen on SRP for a psychiatrist to interrogate someone for lying or smt, but would be cool addition). By sharing their insights and expertise, psychiatrists help create a comprehensive approach that addresses both the physical and mental health needs of patients. Such a skillset delivers the efficacy of mental clinician's work.

In addition to their direct patient care responsibilities, psychiatrists in hospitals also engage in research and teaching own coworkers. Many psychiatrists are actively involved in conducting clinical trials and studies to advance the understanding of mental health disorders and develop new treatment modalities in EMS field of newbies. They also serve as mentors and educators, guiding and supervising medics, residents in the goal to create trustworthy generation of psychiatrists.

In conclusion, the role of a psychiatrist in a hospital setting is multifaceted and indispensable. They diagnose mental health disorders, develop comprehensive treatment plans, provide crisis intervention, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to teaching. Their credo to safe people through word and psychiatric approaches is inspired to make a better community.

OOCLY I have wide knowledge and legal training in CBT, so I can arrange game-based and ethical examples of written documentation using google.docs for each patient my character will work with, to make fun and engaging content. I do feel passionate about writing and I don't mind spending overtime for game to practice skills I will need once I graduate my degree in university. Even if it will be minimized to game level, I believe it would be helpful game for brainstorming. I am also motivated to learn all that SRP factions will provide me with in roleplay terms to see how acting and game art can present.

EMS Hierarchy

[!] Important note - all clinical staff that hold medical license and verification as working staff are allowed to provide first aid (aka Dr ABC – Danger, Response, Airway, Breathing, Circulation) to patients, emergency occurrence and maintain patients life until surgeons or specialists for the needed case arrive. [!]

1) Hospital director

The hospital director is the top role of the clinical staff circle, they have the power to manage every department and permitting and create new rules in place for the financial, medical and social benefits of the institute. Like the CEO of the big company, Directors are the ones to progress most applications, sort the staff, if needed promote, fire or consult them with the given role. They also manage the financial status of the clinic, sending out paychecks and following working ethics in place, so that no EMS staff would slack or break rules.

2) Clinical Manager
Clinical manager can be held as the right hand of Hospital Director or one that assists with formalities. A clinical manager maintains clinical curriculum for all administrative duties of all departments. They are the ones to sort out green employees and introduce them with the facility and help with training, making records of clinic operations and queries that are essential to the facility, manage the budget and sorting payments if the director is away due to crucial reasons, reviewing the pharmacy and making notes on treatments if original ones are opened with flaws, they also maintain social/professional bonds with staff to see if any changes are needed for the hospital.

3) EMS department Clinical Leads (Doctor Lead, Psychiatrist Lead & Paramedic Lead)
Clinical leads separate into different departments and each is responsible for it - currently EMS has 3 lead positions that are Paramedic Lead, Doctor Lead and Psychiatrist Lead. They maintain and look after their department progression, deal with important cases, they also are due to train the interns and new employees if there are no entrusted staff to deal with the matter. They are responsible to deal with the department legal matters if any issues appear, if it is needed they must report it to Clinical manager or send it directly to director if they are working on the day of the occurred situation that can effect facilities status and reputation.

4) EMS department Clinical Heads (Doctor Head, Psychiatrist Head & Paramedic Head)
The head of a department is 2nd higher department lead below the department leads - currently EMS has 3 different head positions according to departments Paramedic Head, Doctor Head and Psychiatrist Head. They are ones to deal with main trainee and intern training, scoring, progression (they are also ones to make the program for interns, presenting them with evaluation scheme and needed materials) and being hive workers with loads of managing cases in department. They are granted permission to deal with legalities if clinical leads are away.

5) EMS department Attending Clinical Staff (Doctors, Psychiatrists & Paramedics)
Attending Clinical staff are below the head of departments and they are higher than working staff - like all departments there are 3 role factions of attending clinical staff Attending Paramedics, Attending Doctors & Attending Psychiatrists. Attending clinical staff are not obliged to deal with legal cases or lawsuits as they do not hold hierarchy status for it as all following roles below them. If assigned, they can do training for the new recruits and keep record on their progression, they can manage their department but they don't have much power. Unlike higher hierarchy roles there are multiple attending clinical staff in each fraction.

6) EMS department Residential/Recruit Clinical Staff (Doctors, Psychiatrists & Paramedics)
Clinical Staff of EMS are common worker bees of the hive, they don't manage department and only focus on patients that are alleviated with their department. There are 3 basic roles in each department - Paramedics, Doctors and Psychiatrists. All of them are allowed to prescribe medications to patients if the case is related with their license, for instance, surgeon can't prescribe a patient psychiatric medications but can prescribe basic meds that don't require expertise prescription. All of these staff are staring point to progress into department's higher role which is Attending Clinical Staff.
  • Psychiatrists -  Licensed Professionals who observe and maintain safety of individual's mental health. Performing sessions where patient chooses to do one to one or group therapies with the psychiatrist, psychiatrist is one to listen to patient's mental change, asking them questions in medical interview format and prescribe needed treatment plans, activities for their recovery. They are ones that regulate that patients don't result in self-harm or any cognitive and behavioral change that would ruin their mental condition. They consult patients with and no mental disabilities exposing them to treatment and checking how they progress on leading more fulfilling, productive and satisfying lives. Important noter, psychiatrists cannot consult their family members in work as it is against ethics conduct. Psychiatrists range from fields of Clinical Medicine, Psychotherapy, Psychology, Psychiatry, General Therapies such as Speech, Speech applied with medications and Speech comorbid with homework progression.
7) Trainees and Interns
This role is lowest in the hierarchy branch. Each department has trainees and interns and they are ones to progress with training and get overseed by higher-ups of department ensuring they are eligible to progress as official workers of department. They must attend trainings and get evaluated on their work. After giving period of training Trainees are entitled to progress as official staff members in their department. If interns pass their given period of training with success, after passing college, they have higher chances to be considered for EMS position they have done training on, as it will be kept in records.

How do EMS staff get promoted?

In normal circumstances all hospital staff begin their career in medical institution from very ground - as Trainees. They have to pass their overseer's program getting qualified as working staff. Overtime, if one is showing great progress in career, getting good reputation and liaising their duties outstandingly they are allowed to be promoted to role of Attending staff (thus, if they have slots in the role or an upper member steps down from role/gets demoted), just like following roles until Lead position of the fraction, this could be also called a progression scheme.

All departments have progression scheme, that is administrated by higher-ups and commenced with final answer of Hospital Director. The hypothesized promotion of role scheme would look like:

Trainee (Resident) Doctor ➤ Attending Doctor ➤ Head Doctor ➤ Doctor Lead
Trainee (Resident) Psychiatrist ➤ Attending Psychiatrist ➤ Head Psychiatrist ➤ Psychiatrist Lead
Trainee (Recruit) Paramedic ➤ Attending Paramedic ➤ Head Paramedic ➤ Psychiatrist Paramedic

SECTION 3: CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE

Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique?

Yamaro has angular, hazel eyes; greenish in the first part, and a deeper hazel in the second part. He has dyed snow blue and marine blue hair [He dyes it periodically, yet he keeps the bluish tones] that reaches his shoulders. His bangs cut across his forehead and hang just over his eyebrows. On occasion, he sometimes puts his hair up in a small ponytail. He's got a small build but somehow still muscular. Several characters remark him as good-looking and handsome, standing strong with feminine manor. Due to his family bloodline his skin is smoother pale.
Yamaro is a kind, straightforward, optimistic, yet shy male who desires to be a stronger individual that is not hesitant and ensures that his social circle (friends, family, lover, work, household) would be always bright and welcoming. While staying positive on daily basis Yama can be depicted rather cool-headed and highly intellectual character when situations become serious or he leads rather detailed chats about life sharing his knowledge and experiences with the listener.

Yamaro's Old BIO (+relatively voiding some of the relationships of still existing characters that he dated as it is cannon rule, but still having similar idea of what character is like.)

Not many would guess, but despite painful past and failed trust that Yamaro put in unreturned, despite mistakes he made on his own, he does not break positivity and continues striving for satisfying life with one that he determined life. Regardless of how great or nasty people are he remains mindful knowing that people are neither good nor bad. It is just chaotic story he is writing by making each step in life. He wouldn't show hatred, unless someone who he trusted a lot would end up using him for bad means. Thus, a incredible patience is pumping inside figure.

At the current Yamaro brought his Canonical roots and decided to become a leader of newly formed Kagenouta Clan, Clan of Art & Philosophy. As a clan leader he enhances his leadership skills in lavishing traditions and philosophy of old clan of Geisha culture, Yamaro grows independence in people. Using his academic skills and combining it with cultural perspectives he obtained unmatched diversity in delving to people mind. If needed he would check on pharmacy stock that is related with psychiatric department and inform higher-ups if anything is missing. In work he would always maintain friendly, but professional relationship.

Whenever off working hours, Yamaro would take time walking around park, quietly reading novels in restaurants or his apartment. He would go out with his acquaintances and be a an elder brother figure to citizens that desperately need friends. Unless it is needed he wouldn't show people he is sad or depressed, instead he would attend EMS like every citizens and request a therapy off-working hours, to ensure he is mentally capable working with people. And as some stereotype people into group of leaders, followers - Yama would be someone who would remain as right hand of person and observe the happening, involving himself only if it is required.
