School News Reports

It's been more or less a month since my most recent hit-piece on the Student Council and a lot has changed since then. For starters, I got my nails done, I finished watching Breaking Bad for the first time, and - probably more relevant to the story - I was made aware of the leadership change in the council. This was especially interesting to me as, through the use of my SUPER COOL Onrain account @ComplaintsDept, I learnt that some of the councillors themselves felt dissatisfied with the leadership of prior presidents. Believe it or not, the message shown above was sent by one of the members of the Student Council! Talk about friendly-fire, no? I wasn’t able to explore this topic as in-depth as I would have liked as, before I...
( banner credit: kewsoh ♡) Hello beloved Saito Nation… this is a LONG OVERDUE ARTICLE.. due to the treacherous amount of drama I’ve been involved in. . from men wasting my time. . all the way to fake pregnancy scares (oops lol). Let’s get into the juice for today: I believe I've paid my respects to the Spartans based on their return, but now it’s time for me to inform the general public of them stepping TOO far forward. What is your definition of rivalry? Genuinely, let me know in the comments. There’s normally two general definitions: general competition, or playful banter between two or more various parties. When it comes to school rivalry, shouldn’t the line be drawn before legal action is needed? I’ll answer for you, YES. So. ...
Clubs! Clubs are groups of people with common interests, seen at most campuses, Karakura being no exception. Surprisingly, unsurprisingly, most students don't actually belong to a club! In this report, I’ll be covering the different clubs, why you should join a club, and more! Karakura has 12 awesome and unique clubs, and you can join up to three per student! There's tons of reasons one may join a club, the most common being making friends with common interests, or maybe just having something to do! For example, if you like journalism, you may join the journalism club, and have a list of all the other students who like journalism and making reports! Or maybe, you prefer to sit quietly and write. All of this is valid, and you...
I’m going to start off with a question: What’s rule #7 on the school rule board? You don’t know? Of course you don’t. No one does. Because no one cares. ‘No Animals Allowed on School Grounds.’ Now, as much as I try to fight the urge to say “Humans are animals. So, why am I here?” I won’t. I’m kidding, I just did. Many people may say that it makes no sense for this rule to be in place. Animals can't cause harm to the school! But others could argue they some dogs are extremely reckless and could break a lot of school equipment. Why is this rule set in place? Well, obviously it’s so that ducks don’t fly into the school and snails don’t climb in. But, animals can’t read. What do you want the school staff to do? Kill an animal? They can’t...
Katsuhito Saiky - 20th of June, 2023 Recent events such as the rise of the school jocks, the floods that occurred, and even shifts in SLT have resulted in numerous ill changes in my opinion that should be addressed, coming from the point of view of not only a former cheer captain but also as a senior-journalist and a pseudo-council member. Because, honestly Karakura High, have you seen the amount of troubles that have appeared ever since I fell from a position of power? Too many, too many to count, and too many to address. Let us divide the problems of the school today into three: Insufferable Journalists Irritable Faculty Loss of Influential Power Insufferable Journalists Journalists, they’ve become an irritable bunch since my time...
- 15/7/2023 The Bobcat. The symbol of the high school. The mascot represents all of us high school students, but yet he always seems to be absent. A mascot who never seems to be there for the other teams, and is rarely even there for the football team. However, one man is stepping up. A man who is seeing to give the Bobcat title the honor and dignity it truly deserves. Bai Yun. Bai Yun is a 12th grade student who has recently been gaining major attention around the school. He is looking to become the next Bobcat mascot, and judging by an interview with him, it seems many others would agree. Below is an interview with the man himself, and just from this you can see the kind of mascot- and person -he is and will be. KK...

( banner credit: kewsoh ♡) Hello Saito Nation, today we’ll be discussing and congratulating the Spartans on their return to the spotlight most recently. With the new addition of the Male Football Captain, Lucio Perez, it seems that things have begun to take it up a notch just a bit. Starting from the topic of the back and forth rivalry itself, there’s been various interactions of fights, callouts, chants, and even people being crammed into LOCKERS (EVEN CATLOVER314 HERSELF)!!! Let’s start off with the Cheer tryouts not too long ago. . I know I wasn’t the only person that saw all the cheerleaders literally GO AT IT. . talk about cat fights. . Ruiz is SUCH a baddie for the way she took charge like that. . if you guys wanna see another...
REPORT 1 - MARIAN SHINOHARA The Karakura housing crisis. It’s been a problem for years, and it continues being a problem. The group affected most by this? Karakura’s large, and ever-growing student population. Of course, the school provides housing for anyone in a sports team, but what about the students outside of these “prestigious” teams? What about the students that don’t have the ability to participate in these highly physically demanding sports? My name is Marian Shinohara, and I’ve spoken to multiple resilient students - formerly homeless ones, and ones who are still struggling with housing and accommodation. I asked them about their experiences, past or current and about their struggles - especially when it comes to school...
Bobcat Spirit Today at Karakura High, the Bobcat Cheer Team, led by Cheer-Captain Lexy Sparks, gave a wonderful performance in front of the memorial rock, a sight to behold for many students who had yet to watch one of their official routines. Though it was berated by opposing Spartan Cheerleaders, the Bobcats put on a performance worthy of recognition. The crowds erupted in cheer as they sang along to That's My Girl by Fifth Harmony, performing leaps and twirls that teachers and students alike couldn't get enough of. There was a sort of allure to their performance that prevented people from looking away; was it the showy cheer outfit? The flashy pom-poms? The roaring enthusiasm? Whatever the case, the crowd grew larger and larger as...
On 6/27/2023, the intercoms all throughout the school made a quick beeping sound followed by a mysterious voice saying the words: “Just out of curiosity, does anyone have a better coffee machine? Preferably one that doesn’t system update consistently-” throughout the hallways and classrooms, laughter erupted. Many people recorded the situation once they heard the beep. I was sent one of these recordings, and in the background, behind all the laughs, you could hear the voice saying to someone who’s voice we could not hear: “Wha-? I’m speaking to no-one?... Well, there’s probably someone on campus with a better coffee machine! It’s worth a tr- No, I don’t have a complex, I’m just asking for a coffee- '' That's when the P.A. beeped and...
- 20/06/2023 - You should know something has gone too far when I have to step in. In recent times, there have been a lot of accusations and false news reported to you by some of our College Journalists. Much of the information has come from anonymous sources, people too afraid to show themselves purely because they’ve manufactured lies to try and slander the Bobcat name. Well I think it’s time for the Bobcats to push back, you lot aren’t the only ones with a pen and paper. For those curious, my name is Tiffany Takagi, Granddaughter of Vice-Dean Hashirama Takagi. Most people will know me as a Bobcat Cheerleader. To the surprise of many, I am also a Journalist. Which means that all of these little Journalists who think it’s okay to...
As a former councillor and council president, I look at our current council’s and faculty's struggles... and I do not understand them at all; I was ruthless, but regardless, that is not to say that the authorities of the school have not been put between a rock and a hard place as of recent. Karakura High has always been infamous for its, Types of students, ranging from sassy, adored team members, to hated, heinous delinquents who do nothing but terrorise our students and faculty for the fun of it; This report serves to go over the struggles our councillors and faculty face each day, perhaps to make some of you who think they are above the rules for whatever reason feel bad because I don't care about your feelings! Morning...
The hot seat. An informal noun used to refer to the position of a person who carries full responsibility for something, including facing criticism or being answerable for decisions or actions. Also commonly used to refer to the electric chair in North America. However, we are in Japan, so you have nothing to worry about there! In today’s report, we’ve put five KHSCC students in the metaphorical hot seat. We asked them each the same questions and got different answers back. It’s time for… the hot seat. We put five people on the spot to answer our questions. We have Tsugi Jahii (whose hair looks like neapolitan ice cream), a twelfth grader, an avid class-goer, and a french-speaker. Soda Kanno, a caretaker, the son of Mr. Kanno, a man who...
HS Football and Cheer Teams, A Trend of Violence Kingston D. Karicorn Liars. Violent. Wicked. All words one could use to describe the ruthless Bobcat football and cheerleader team. They’ve always been known to have a superiority complex, but recently things have become more unhinged. From shoving people into lockers, to even harassing faculty, they have begun a reign of terror over the school with virtually no push back from higher ups. However, with these acts of brutality they’ve accumulated a long list of victims. Victims who all wish to see justice be brought to these monsters. Below, I have interviewed three people who have been victims of the ruthless bullying from the HS football and cheer team. Many have...
