What is your motivation for applying?:
My motivation for applying is as follows;
The last time I applied I had a really fun time, and honestly, I wish I didn’t resign. Even though there were toxicity, the memories and the situations where they got your adrenaline pumping- I miss that. I miss the friends I made, and I want to be back on the team. Those were the most fun times I’ve ever had on SchoolRP, and the best role I believe there is. Working your way up the ranks is the best because you feel as if you have accomplished something. I want to feel that again and help to stop crime as I used to, back before I resigned. I feel that resigning because of S.A.T. being gone was stupid and petty of me, and I wish I never did.
Do you understand Japanese Laws and Basic Conduct?:
Yes, of course. Due to being an officer previously, I remember almost everything if not everything that we were supposed to do and arrest people for, etc.
What knowledge do you have of police work?:
I have to say that I genuinely have a lot of knowledge of police work, as stated before, and about the fiftieth time in this application, since I used to be a police officer, I still remember most if not all of what I was taught. I know how to search people, how to crowd control, how to arrest someone, what the jail command is, laws of Japan and how to go about them, how to roster the arrests, how to fine people after giving them a warning, how to deal with armed people (whether it be with weapons or riot gear), how to deal with large crowds of “unruly” people, much like crowd control, how to cover someone when they’re searching someone, how to search someone if surrounded by a crowd, what to do if patrolling alone (which shouldn’t be done unless dire), how to do manhunts and corner a person if they’re running by running into a different direction, how to search in certain areas such as T-R-E. Safe to say that I remember so much from when I was a police officer, and that information hasn’t left.
What are the Police ranks?:
Normal Division (highest to lowest):
- Commissioner:
The person that runs everything, they are in charge of the force and must ensure that everyone is doing their jobs correctly and that everything is running efficiently. They supply the other officers with anything they may need, whether it be equipment or training. The most important officer and must be protected at all times.
- Captain:
They are the second most important job. The Commissioner’s right-hand man, the most trusted by them to do their job efficiently. They are, in the end, the one who tests the cadets and can ensure they pass their test. Also testing them before they take their test.
- Head-Lieutenant:
They have been appointed the role after deemed the most suitable of it out of all other lieutenants and basically have the same permissions, except able to give equipment as the Captain and Commissioner can as well. They are respected and their word goes.
- Vice-Head Lieutenant:
Much like the Head-Lieutenant, they are most suitable for their role and deserve it entirely. The Head-Lieutenants right-hand man and they work with the higher roles listed above. They also focus on the force in general and how good the force operates as a whole.
- Lieutenant:
They are now trusted with a Glock and are higher-ups in the force. They are to be respected and act mature, as their role requires them to be. They are able to oversee training if need be and are responsible for most things in the force, including the cadet waves.
- Sergeant:
They are a commanding officer and able to give orders and oversee training cadets, and correct corporals on anything they did wrong. They are to be respected and considered as a higher-up, even if they only have tasers, they are still highly skilled in their job.
- Corporal:
Corporals train cadets and aren’t a commanding officer, yet have a crucial role in the force. They are in charge of the cadets and making sure they pass, which is a big responsibility placed onto their shoulders. They are skilled in their role, and what they do.
- Patrol Officer:
Patrol Officers are newly promoted cadets after they pass their test, and finally, are able to patrol and take other cadets on patrol. They are allowed to go out alone, yet it is not advised to.
- Cadet:
Cadets are brought into the force with no knowledge of what is ahead of them besides their experience in schools, and mostly have to do front-desk and sit there, bored, for endless hours until ready to take the cadet test. But they are still a crucial part of the force, as everyone started out as a cadet at one point. Even the commissioner.
Investigative Division (highest to lowest):
- Head Investigator:
They are in charge of everything and essentially equivalent to a vice-head lieutenant to a head lieutenant. They run everything and ensure the investigator trainees are physically and mentally able to be an investigator.
- Investigator:
Essentially an officer that finds out information for the force, a required division of the police force, of any police force really. They are the ones that passed their written test and proved their worth as an investigator. Equivalent to a Lieutenant.
- Trainee Investigator:
Deemed suitable to be an investigator and in the stage where their actions define who they become and if they get promoted to a normal Investigator or not. They do not get Glocks, however, are equivalent to a corporal/sergeant, and are to be respected.
Why are Police important to SchoolRP?:
Police are important to SchoolRP because police are needed in everyday lives, even if people don’t know it, and it was hectic before when there were hardly any police officers and none were active. People died and got killed in public and the assailant never got in trouble, and without police, this would be the case again. GangRP would have no limits and cops are needed to enforce laws, no matter what kind of server it is. Also, truancy. Students would be in and out of school whenever they pleased and commit crimes that they wouldn’t have been able to do before.
Do you acknowledge that you're subject to being demoted if accepted at any given time?:
I do, as shown before with other people's experiences in the force, when I was an officer, it's clear that you may be demoted for any reason, at any given time no matter the circumstances.
In-Character (IC) Section
CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE
Tell us about your character, how he looks.
Lyric is a rather attractive female, having small, bright and sparkling eyes that are a plain color, a dark blue with thick eyelashes framing her eyes. Her eyebrows are arched, bushy, and light, matching her light hair color. Her skin is creamy white, having no imperfections (acne, beauty marks, acne scars, etc.) whatsoever, except for a scar on her shoulder, covered up by her clothing. Her face has sharp features, giving her a somewhat intimidating look. Her nose is dainty and her lips are full. She has shoulder-length, tousled and messy hair from running her hands through it often and is colored a dirty-blonde which is not her natural hair color, her natural hair color is a jet-black, a few shades lighter from having to bleach it for blonde. She is above average height for a girl, being 5’6”. She has small and delicate hands with manicured nails. Her build is a mesomorph, mixed with her curves, it gives her a muscular, yet feminine look all at the same time.
What makes him unique?:
What makes Lyric unique is how she acts and handles things, when most people buckle under stress she won’t, instead of getting overwhelmed and letting the tiniest things upset her, she will remain calm on the outside and continue to handle things the way she always does, no matter the situation. Her calm, composed attitude tends to frighten many because they intentionally try to stress her out or make her angry, yet it never succeeds and her calmness tends to help her in practically any situation. Another thing making her unique is that she always regards someone with a kind voice, and expression, giving the right amount of patience into any situation she is put in. Her plans for the future are simple, staying in the Police Department as long as possible, until the day she takes her final breath, all of her time will be spent dedicated to the force, no matter the circumstance, as they say, “remain loyal till the very end.''
What he's like on and off the job?:
When she is on the job, she keeps her serious, calm persona up and does not let anything tear her down, on the inside she does but on the outside, her serious persona is always up. Not wanting anyone to mistake her as weak due to her gender, and being in the police force, she practically forces herself to be what every cadet aspires to be in the future as a police officer, just as a cadet for her. When she is off the job or upstairs in the Police Departments designated building, that’s a different story, she is somewhat childish, yet still mature, and easy to get along with, a smile always on her features normally, reciting stories, telling jokes, etc. all to keep the Police Department entertained, and to keep herself entertained too, just more laid back and easy-going, not being so hard on herself when surrounded by people that will not take her normal side as a weakness.
Outlook on his co-workers? Plans for the future?:
With that being said, she loves talking to her co-workers and working with them, no matter their ranking as everyone is the same in her eyes, (co-worker wise), even if they are a higher ranking she does not fear them or hold herself back, just being herself around them, yet still respecting them and keeping her boundaries when necessary. She plans to work in the police force until she cannot anymore, and eventually have a balance between family life and work life. She wants to have a family and a loving husband eventually, but knows that there must be a balance between both, and being a police officer, that can be difficult sometimes. But she’s ready for it.
BACKSTORY
Childhood:
Lyric grew up in a strict yet loving family household, where nothing bad ever happened to her. As a toddler, she played with toys as any kid would do but always got involved more with boy related toys instead of barbie dolls and doll-houses for said dolls. She wasn’t exactly a girly girl, yet she did love to spend time with her mother and do things only a mother could do. Around when she was four, her father fell sick. It was pneumonia, and with him being in and out of hospitals, plus her older brother by two years, her mom had to get two jobs to support both while paying for his hospital costs.
At the age of seven, Lyric’s father passed away and her mother spiraled into a depression, where later she and her brother, Alto, were taken away by Child Protection Services as their mother was unfit to take care of them. This caused Lyric to want to be like them when she aged, where she saves people's lives and make them better.
Adolescents:
Lyric and Alto were in and out of foster homes until they both graduated high-school and were taken in by a previous foster family. They never heard from their real mom and were unaware of her condition. Still, are. Lyric went to college to become a police officer, and Alto went to college to become a surgeon. Both wanted to be in the legal part of Karakura, where they were born and raised, even if they aren’t Japanese they still lived there their whole life. Lyric distanced herself from everyone as she went through college, including her foster family and Alto, her beloved brother. But she couldn’t bear to lose another. She graduated and eventually applied for a position in the Karakura Police Department, eagerly awaiting a response on her application after graduating from both college and Law School, with experience under her belt, she's sure to get accepted, but you never know. Anxiously awaiting a response at the age of 26, she decides to pass her time by writing.
