Previous bans:

I’ve actually never been banned, and I do not plan on getting banned ever!

Describe your activity on the server:

I’ve recently picked up on my activity, I tend to try to be on SRP way more often. Due to it being summer break for me, I’ll finally be able to gain more activity, meaning that I can be on everyday for long amounts of time. I still do nowadays try to get on SRP for 2 - 4 hours a day, if not more. Even though it is summer break for me, I might still tend to be busy, which will most likely be the weekends, but on weekdays I should be completely free, which helps me gain more activity over time. I mostly am on from 5 pm - 12 am over weekdays.

Which timezone are you in?

EST - Eastern Standard Time

What is your motivation for applying?:

I have once been in KPD myself and had greatly enjoyed the faction. I took much time to myself to take a break from KPD until applying again, I let myself gain more activity on SRP and open myself up again. I finally hit the point where I feel ready to come back to a faction like this. I of course miss the people that I was with in the faction and feel as it's one of the great factors of why I want to come back. I do also simply want to come back due to KPD being one of my favorite factions. I also want to really better myself with my activity and I feel as coming back to KPD would completely help me with this. I’ve been waiting for a while to complete another application for KPD but I feel as if this one has been my best. I've tried my best to show how much care I have for this faction because trust me, I really adore and care for a faction like KPD. KPD has brought me a lot of joy and I simply want to witness that joy again as this faction is so very fun. A lot of people in the faction currently are people I had once been close with and or I know decently well. The higher-ups are also one of the reasons why I’m applying once again, since they are very kind to any wave that has come in. I felt very respected when I was in KPD even if I was a lower rank, everyone was very kind to each other and I really respect that of KPD.

What knowledge do you have of Police Work?

From when I was in KPD this is what I remember

POLICE EQUIPMENT

Baton -
This is something police are allowed to carry on them at all, they’re only allowed to use the baton in serious situations and if they're being attacked. They add two ko points once used against someone but at any point they're used people are allowed to mug it off of the officer.

Taser -
A taser is a stun gun that is allowed to be used when the threat is serious, such as in training, you will be taught that if the person is four blocks away from you and is threatening you, you will have to warn them three times and if they don’t listen you will be allowed to tase them, but you do have a action for your tasing. If the person is running up to you with a weapon you are allowed to tase them at any point since they are a clear threat, you will not have to action for this.

Handcuffs -
This is how you're allowed to arrest someone of course, you mostly have to action with these but while actioning the person is allowed to roll against it. If they don’t react for a decent amount of time you are allowed to jail them.

Radio -
This is KPD’s main way of communicating to each other while out in public or even inside of the station. These are usually allowed to be used at any point unless you are surrounded, this is where you have to action to use it.
Breathalyzer -
This is used to check if a person has been using alcohol or not, this is actually very useful as it can be used on underage people to check if they have been drinking. Even though it's a very useful item, you still have to action to use it on someone.

Pepper Spray -
The rules for tasers are the same for pepper spray, but you mostly use this to stop someone from attacking you, this will blind them but will most likely put their actions to a stop.

Luminol Spray -
This is a spray that is used to find any unseen blood on an object. For example, masks! Masks could be covered in blood but very unseen, this spray will make that blood more noticable and with that you would possibly be allowed to arrest the person.

First-Aid Kit -
KPD officers each have first aid kits, but they are itemrped. Most of the time KPD will only use first aid kits for more serious situations but it's very rare to see KPD do that since we have EMS.

Body-Cam -
This is something an officer has on them at all points, this is so things can be recorded and reported back to the station, but they’re very useful when it comes to CCTV. Another police officer can watch over what their co-worker does and report crimes back to the co-worker on duty.

POLICE DUTIES / INFO USAGE

Front Desk Work -
You earn quotas from this but mostly if you are found at the front desk you are handling people who come into the station to report something, bail someone, get safety on yourself, and ETC. If you are handling the front desk you have to search someone if they have reported something (this is because sometimes questioning is needed!) or if they have setted off the metal detector. Mostly the work that goes on at the front desk is just listening to what people have to bring in or watching what is going on outside.

Patrols -
You also can earn quotas from going on patrols! When it comes to patrols it matters on what rank you are in KPD. If you are a cadet you are not allowed to go out patrols unless a higher up offers to take you out on a patrol. If you are a patrol officer it matters on the danger level of the city, yes you may still go out but you might need to bring someone else along (usually you have to go out with other people!) Patrols are mostly used to find out if there’s any crime going on that isn’t being reported, this is mostly aimed towards anywhere in the city. Mostly KPD is seen only patrolling plaza but they actually go around the whole town doing a check, if there’s nothing going on they will report back to the station and possibly be allowed to go out later.

CCTV -
This is used to look for any crimes going on or to back up other officers. Most of the time any officer is allowed to go on CCTV at any time but there has to be a reason. If you are using CCTV to find criminal activity that has been reported you have to at least know where the crime was, but if you do see something on CCTV and it wasn’t reported you are to report it to other officers and go on patrol to see what is going on. If you are using it for other purposes as for example your co-workers go on a patrol and you want to make sure they’re safe you are allowed to do this but everything has to be reported on the radio so it wouldn’t count as meta gaming. Whatever proof they have on CCTV they’re allowed to use, so, if they also randomly go onto CCTV and catch someone doing something they would be allowed to go on patrol to check it out.

Medical usage -
KPD are allowed to always use medical gear if it is very dear to be used, if they have someone who is injured but it isn’t anything too bad they are allowed to use whatever they have in their medkit but they do have to take the person into the hospital still. This also relates to using it on their co-workers but it is very rare as they just get EMS.

Arrests -
The Police are able to arrest people for good reasons. Most common arrests around Karakura are for fines. The most common fines that are arrested for drinking underage. Trespassing is another thing you may be fined and arrested for. Now the big things you could be arrested for are such things as Murder, Being a part of a gang, Weapons, and Running from Police ( Meaning as in you are trying to escape ). As a Police officer you can give a criminal a bail to their arrest, someone will have to pay the bail to get the criminal out. Now, if the bail is not able to be paid the following criminal will have to wait their time. Time in jail can be many months icly, many days icly, or even possibly the criminal could be in jail with no bail at all. If someone has a bail you are able to see it on the discord server with the public arrest logs.

City Danger Level -
This is something KPD has to keep track of every once and awhile. This helps KPD members know what is going on within the city and how many people are allowed to go out on a patrol. City danger level is just there to remind KPD what crimes are happening such as gangs, it helps them know if gangs are still at their highest.

Inmate Care -
This is something that happens when officers have free time and are able to Roleplay with the inmate. Inmate care consists of taking the inmate to either the roof or the courtyard to give them the ability to exercise and stay fit, taking the inmate to the cafeteria to be fed to stay healthy and overseeing community services when a citizen does not have the ability to pay off a fine given by a KPD officer.

Inmate Visitation -
Relatives and friends of the inmate are allowed to visit said inmate, with the approval of the arresting officer. Approval can be obtained from ICLY or OOCLY methods. Once approval from the arresting officer has been obtained you should call another officer to assist you with the visitation. You will take the visitor to the visitors side of the room while your partner will bring the inmate to the inmate’s side of the visitor’s room after the inmate is cuffed at their cell. The inmate will then be cuffed to the chair to prevent said inmate from fighting back or escaping from police custody. Both officers are required to have their batons out at all times during the whole visitation period, in case they need to defend themselves. The rules for the visitation are not to be broken, if broken the visitation will be forcefully cut short. Visitations cannot last for more than 20 ICLY minutes, no foreign languages are allowed when speaking to the inmate and no sort of violent behavior will be permitted in the visitation room. When the visitation is over the civilian will be escorted out to the lobby and the inmate will be uncuffed from the chair and will be led back to their cell.

Restraining Orders -
This is a task that will be given to officers. A restraining order will be given in the event that someone has been verbally or physically assaulted. In order to proceed with filing a restraining order, the officer must follow the first steps of filing a report, clear the civilian, guide them to the interrogation room and follow the restraining order format. Once the format has been filled and you have obtained IC evidence of the assault, you are to sign the Restraining Order and hand two copies of the Restraining Order to both parties of the Restraining Order, and then keep the original document to yourself.

Interrogations -
Interrogations are mostly used for questioning people. There has to be a reasoning of why the person is being questioned! The person could simply be reporting a crime that they’ve seen or it could be a person who committed a crime. There's a process when it comes to interrogations though, first you will have to give the person a seat and then cuff them to it. That seat has to be far awhile from the door so the person can’t escape at any point, and then you will have a recording device so you can catch what they say and use it for later reasons. You can’t reveal anything to the person who is being questioned though, it could possibly throw their questions off.

Protective Custody -
This is where someone can order protection on themself from KPD, this person will be watched over by KPD. This means you will not be allowed to log onto the character for 7 days so that character can avoid any perms that are against them. To gain protective custody you will have to tell KPD about the reason why you are being attacked and you will have to give evidence to prove what they’re doing against your character. You can use past reports, IC videos, or CCTV or even more if you have other proof. Of course like every other duty there's rules behind it, like you’re allowed to put someone under protective custody for these reasons

1 - They’re being threatened with weapons
2 - Attempted murder and or they have anything major done to them
3 - Kidnapping and or Attempted Kidnapping
4 - Someone is trying to act on a bounty and it's very clear to the eye

Warrants -
This is something KPD has to gain for them to be allowed to raid a home. This is where they have gained law approved access into a home, this is mostly done when the owner of the home has been suspected to carry weapons on them or have them hidden somewhere.

POLICE RANKS

[ Higher Rankings ]

Commissioner -
This is the highest role in KPD. The Commissioner is the lead of KPD and runs most of the KPD. The commissioner is there to make sure that the lower roles are taken under control and that they are learning. The commissioner also helps plan ideas with the rest of the roles. They also are in control with future events, raids, applications, and much more.

Police Captain -
This is the second highest role in KPD. A Police Captain does almost the same amount of work as a Commissioner but still follows under the Commissioner’s leads.

Police Detective Superintendent -
This is the third highest role in KPD. As a Detective Superintendent you are to plan out ideas or just take a hold of the KPD if the Captain or Commissioner is not around at the time being. They act out in different ways than the Captain and Commissioner but are in some way the same type of work. They are supposed to also make sure that the detective division is safe and sound.

Police Detective Chief Inspector -
This is the fourth highest role in KPD. They are supposed to be a role model and keep some control over the division. They do work the same as the Police Detective Superintendent but with less power over it.

Police Detective Constable -
The Police Detective Constable is the lowest Detective rank within the Karakura Police Department but they are seen doing complex work regardless of their low rank. They investigate in Knife crimes, Assaults, reports of Domestic Abuse and Burglary but they also get a chance to investigate in bigger crimes then that.

Police Lieutenant -
The Police Lieutenant is a helpful role for the Karakura Police Department and is also very much needed just like the Police Sergeant and the Police Corporal. One of the main jobs is to help the lower ranks but also oversee them and plan different activities for the Department and run their divisions. There also are a limited number of slots available for the role but they also have gained a high respect with the rank. Within the rank of Lieutenant you are a higher up of the normal division of KPD.

Police Sergeant -
A Police Sergeant helps guide the lower ranks when they are on their duties. Most of the time they help with training the low ranks. This rank in the police Department is most useful when it comes to helping lower ranks. Police Sergeants make sure that the lower ranks are keeping track of what they're supposed to do for the day.

Police Corporal -
The Police Corporal is an important role to the Karakura Police Department as their job is to train the Cadets and show them their work whilst also doing more important work such as checking in on Patrol Officers to see if everything is fine. They are also assigned higher tasks as they have a high enough role to be trusted with the work they do.

The roles below can either move onto the main path in KPD or go into the detective path after training and completing the stage of being a patrol officer.

[ Lower Rankings ]

Patrol Officers -
This the second lowest rank, you receive this rank after you’ve completed all of your training as a Cadet. At this point you start to be allowed to go on patrols on your own or with a partner. If you do want to go on a patrol you will have to know the danger level of the city! If the danger level is too high you’re not allowed to go on your own.

Police Cadet -
This is the lowest rank and the beginning rank. This is where you get trained the most. You are allowed to go on patrols but need to be with a higher up. You get trained by higher ups and mostly stay inside of the KPD. You’re only allowed to leave if you were told to do so or that you are going out for training.

Why is Police important to SchoolRP?

Police are important to SchoolRP due to people who build up gangs to go against the town. SRP is still very much known for their gangRP. So, with that coming in, there's still lots of criminals who are still out running in Karakura. Also, lots of events involve KPD being a part of it. If KPD wouldn’t be a thing most events wouldn’t be allowed to be held. Mostly KPD also keeps the town on high alert if something is going on. They’re there to protect the town from criminals and if they weren’t more crimes would rise in the town. KPD also brings lots of lore towards schoolrp and also is the reason why most people can enjoy gangRP because it still gives them risks and rules to follow.

Do you acknowledge that you're subject to being demoted if accepted at any given time?

Yes I acknowledge this and will be very dedicated to this role if I was accepted.

Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are needed to attend or you will be punished?

Yes I acknowledge this and completely understand.

Describe your character; how they look, what makes them unique?

Guk Seon-u a very bright young male, his eyes would be very large due to how he is very concerned about his surroundings, his hair would be a bright orange while his skin would be very pale. He seemed very upbringing and very prepared for anything, he usually brings much joy to his workplace but becomes very quiet whenever something becomes serious. He makes sure to not bring any attention to him when the moment is not a moment for attention. He knows how to calm someone down quickly in a serious situation and tries his best to keep everyone in a good shape. He’s very confident in most things he does so most of the time he doesn’t let anything stop him from doing the things that he’s supposed to do.

How does your character act in a professional/casual situation?

He starts to try to make everything more serious and tries to even take himself seriously. He wants everything to be in shape and right in case something is to happen. If something ends up causing a problem he tries to quickly end this problem and check up on others to make sure they’re doing alright. If he’s in a simple situation where he’s simply speaking to someone he might try to make jokes with them and keep them in a good mood so they can continue on with the day well.

What is their outlook on the idea of co-workers & teamwork?

Guk has a very good outlook on the idea of co-workers, he loves to work with other people and he adores taking care of people he gets close to over time. With his co-workers he tries his best to make everyone decently like him and make it clear that they can always come to him for help or just anything. He treats his co-workers as family and will do anything to protect them.

Do you see yourself as a leader or a follower? Why?

“I can see myself as both, I can take control of certain situations while other situations I try to follow along with orders being told. I try my best to lead people into good paths but I always end up following other people in my path. That is why I say I can be both a leader and a follower. A leader shouldn’t always be looked for though! Since leaders could be difficult to understand but same with being a follower! Followers can be hard to deal with at the same time. I still generally find myself being both due to me being easy to understand at some points and other times I don’t seem easy to understand but some people still look up to me.”

BACKSTORY (100+ words)

Guk Seon-u originally Guk Lim, he was born on December 19th, 1998. His mother gave birth to him and his twin sister in Seoul, South Korea. His father didn’t really stick around once the twins were born since he didn’t have much care for a family at the time being. While Guk’s father was busy studying to be a future police officer, Guk was left learning how to live without a father figure. While he was a child Guk didn’t mind not having his father much since he had time to bond with his sister and mother, but over time he wanted to know who his father was.

At the age of 10 Guk started to find out more about his father; he was an officer?! Guk was so very interested in police work after finding out his father was a police officer, he simply wanted to get closer to his father by police work. He started to wonder more about the police and watched documentaries on police work. After some time Guk began to lose all interest in finding a way to meet his father. This led him into studying for many other things and getting better at school since his mother really wanted him to have good grades in everything.

As he hit his teenage years he found out about a program that was really famous in his school. He looked into it more and found out that this program is for future police fields of work. He decided that maybe he will take a chance at something he liked and another chance at finding his father. After some time he finished the program and was offered an internship but this internship was in Japan, which he did not live in. So, he decided to find a college in Japan that he found well for himself. He then realized if he wanted to move to Japan he would have to obviously learn Japanese. So, for a few years Guk took time to find out how to speak Japanese. yes, it took him some time but at least he ended up fluent! He then got himself and his sister and went to Japan, which he landed in Karakura, meaning he started to attend the college that Karakura had!

During his college years he had started his internship which was shocking news, it didn’t last long since he was a quick learner and they didn’t need him for much longer. He then took this as a sign to start focusing on his studies which he took time to start studying the laws that were in Karakura. After some time he realized that a man in Karakura had the same last name as him and looked very much like him; Guk then realized that the man had been his father. His father at the time being was a police officer for KPD. Guk took this as a time to start getting along with his father, with whom the two got along quite well. Guk’s father started to help Guk learn more behind the police force which after some time it helped Guk a lot. After some time Guk tried to find more internships so he could have more of a chance if he did try to get into the force. With luck he got more internships. After doing so Guk took time to look more into his studies before he decided what he wanted to do.

During his current years he has decided to apply for Karakura and is hoping for a reply.

SECTION 2: GENERAL KNOWLEDGE

Can you legally own a pocket knife in Karakura?

No you can not legally own a pocket knife this is due to them being illegal in Karakura. If you are found with this weapon you will be arrested for minor illegal weaponry.

Name 5 medical items that do NOT require a prescription

Eyepatch
Cane
Cough Syrup
Paracetomal
Lactulose

If you see your co-workers physically abusing an inmate, what should you do?

“If I were to see my co-worker doing so I would stop my co-worker and remind them that we are not allowed to do that. If my co-worker continues I will report it to a higher up and then proceed to check on the inmate to see if they’re okay. I will also make sure if the inmate is in any type of pain that they receive medical health, even if they’re a criminal they still deserve to be taken care of. Even if they weren’t continuing to attack the inmate I would still report it to higher-ups since we’re not allowed to do any harm towards inmates. ”

What should you do if you see your co-worker being assaulted?

“I would try my best to break off the person who assaulted them, if I am able to I will then check on the co-worker and see if they’re physically okay and able to take themselves back to a higher up or another co-worker. After doing that I will arrest the person who had assaulted my co-worker. If I fail to break off the assaulter I will try to get help for me and my co-worker. If we don’t get help I will still try to stop the assaulter. Once I stop them I will arrest them and report the actions to higher ups. ”

What do you do if you find out that your co-worker is corrupt and is helping criminal organizations?

“I will try to get as much proof as I possibly can to show that they’re corrupt. I will make sure that all proof is caught on my body cam, after doing so I will take the proof I have to my higher ups meaning to report my co-worker. If I do not have enough proof I will find a way to get the proof that I need so I can show my higher ups. I will find ways to even know how they’re helping a criminal organization! I don’t support the force helping criminal organizations. ”

How would you react to a criminal trying to bribe you?

“I would simply make sure that they know I am a KPD officer by showing my badge and that I will not be taking such bribes. If they continue to try to bribe me I will fine them due to the simple fact you cannot bribe the force.”
