What position are you applying for?:
Gonvernor

What is your motivation for applying?:
After leaving the student council, I took a long break from video games. After months, I’ve returned to playing games again and would like to return to the roleplaying community and join a faction I've been interested in since it was introduced a few years ago. The role is a great fit for my roleplaying style; my characters' personalities have been on the more mature side, and I enjoy roleplaying serious scenarios. The job of governors is fun; their basic responsibilities are something I would enjoy, along with the RP and events they take part in. I look forward to participating in a different faction than the faculty or school-related ones. I have also reviewed the history and official lore related to the government faction and found it very interesting, which gave me the final push to apply this time around.

Do you have an understanding of Karakura’s laws & Constitutional rights?:
Yes, I’ve reviewed them many times for IC situations and have a good grasp of them from applying for the roles of Judge, Lawyer, and KPD officer in the past.

What are your goals for being in the Government Faction?
I would like to interact with citizens and get them more involved with the government faction, teaching them more about it, while also learning more about it myself. As of now, players usually only interact with government workers to get IDs and the new certificates. I will come up with ideas to increase interactions for government workers and mini events related to the government, in-character, and to give the citizens a say in-character. I also enjoy creating pieces of media for storytelling, such as the one posted at the end of this application, so I will likely create more while in this role to help make things more interesting and entertaining. I’ve created other short audio content like it in the past for a delinquent gang I was a part of a few months ago on a different account.



In your own words, describe the different roles of the Government Faction:
Mayor
The leader of the faction held by a staff member, the mayor, is the highest position in Karakura’s government; they oversee the government as a whole.

Deputy-mayor
The second-highest position of authority under the mayor, their primary job is to assist the mayor with their duties and take action in case of the mayor's absence or in a state of emergency.

Governor HD
The most qualified and usually the most experienced governor holds a higher position among the rest; they take part in the cabinet while still carrying the same basic responsibilities as other governors.

Governor
Their basic responsibility revolves around maintaining public order, such as approving and officiating paperwork, running inspections in public business, and noting citizen feedback.

Judge HD
The head of the most respected position in the law takes part in the cabinet while performing usual responsibilities as a judge.

Judge
The main focus of a judge is serving justice according to the law and constitution through fair public trials, maintaining order, and reviewing cases.

Lawyer HD
The head of Karakura Lawyers takes part in the cabinet; their primary role remains the same as the rest, while holding a higher position.

Lawyer
They are the bridge between the people and the law; they're responsible for consulting and assisting their clients, whether individuals or businesses, during court cases. There are 2 positions a lawyer can take:

-General attorney:
Those who defend the people with their best understanding of the law.

-Prosecutor:
Those who represent the government to enforce the law that has been broken.

The newest role added to the town discord is not an in-game role that can be acquired; it is a role given to 2 of the discord server’s bots, used for sending notifications and messages to certain faction members. It is still new, so more purposes may be given.

I was a member of the student government as a part of the college student council in Karakura Community College.

I'm a Japanese citizen, but I was born in Mexico.

Criminal record:
No criminal record, never even got detention when I was in school, just hosted it.

What makes you a good candidate for this job?:
Before I decided to move to Japan and become a citizen, I did a lot of research on different towns, and Karakura is by far the most interesting. I am familiar with the history of this town and its government, especially with the public's opinions about it. I have witnessed a lot of it, such as the Herrington Popovich trial and its aftermath. The main island may not see this town as of importance, especially with the complicated political status between us, but I believe it can become better. I will form a stronger bond between the government and its citizens by creating a better public image, and with a focus on resource management and extraction, this island can become one of the greatest cities in the prefecture. Our government has been isolated from the mainland for many years; the position we have to govern ourselves is an advantage that we have. My goal is to gain the trust of our citizens and no longer depend on the mainland. The island is a living organism; I understand how this machine works; we can become a more self-sustainable island and increase order.
With me as a governor, we have a chance to progress and become a major city in Japan like never before!

As I mentioned, I enjoy creating short audios for my characters and events. I have a speech made by the character to help showcase who they are. I think it is very fitting for the occasion and recent events on SRP.
