Which timezone are you in?
My current timezone is BST, which remains this time until we swap over to the winter season, which then I’ll be in the GMT timezone.
List your current and past IC/OOC faction applications:
Describe your activity on the server:
My Activity on the server has always been the same, always on most days and when I’m on inactivity, I’m not online at all. Obviously my activity is subject to change once I've acquired my job, but that wouldn’t affect too much considering I am a continuously active member of the community, being online every day for at least 7+ hours with breaks in between. I’ve been playing the server since mid 2018 with unstable activity until 2020, which is when my activity started to peak. Until 2024 when I was brought onto the Staff team, I continued to remain online from around 1pm GMT to around 1am GMT, with breaks included or IRL situations getting in the way. Regardless of that, my activity has always continued to peak, regardless of the situation.

What is your motivation for applying?:
My motivation started when I first applied for KPD and got in the first time. I had enjoyed my time there, experiencing each rank and scenario that happened, experiencing all the different unique roleplay situations. Although I had to leave due to some issues outside of SRP, my passion for KPD remained. I tried different factions but I did not enjoy them as much as I enjoyed the KPD faction, this continued my motivation to want to re-apply again after about a year of not being in the faction, though I did get denied a few times, this again, did not demotivate me from wanting to rejoin. I want to be able to rejoin and work with the players and community that makes working in a faction fun and a passion, even if it’s completely different from when I first was a part of it. Immersing myself into different roleplay scenarios, a switch of scenery and being a part of something that brings joy, wanting to be a part of something both ICly and OOCly.
What knowledge do you have of Police Work?
My knowledge of police work has remained the same since I was in the faction back in 2024, I am on the understanding that a few things if not a lot of things have changed since my departure which is why my knowledge may not be up to date, regardless. I will be willing to learn the newer things of KPD. The current knowledge is things everyone knows but also things I obtained from being within the faction prior. Some of this knowledge I have shared, while the other aspect I do not fully remember and will dedicate my time to re-learn those parts of police work.

⤷ Karakura Police Department is split into two different divisions with their sub-rankings. We firstly have the main division which contains the starting Rank up until the Captain rank. Then we have a Detective Division which you can be promoted to after passing your exams starting at Detective Constable and ending with DSI (Detective Superintendent).
Main Division
⤷ Cadet - This is the trainee rank, everyone who gets into the force starts here for two weeks training and exams. ‘Freshly’ out of Police Academy.
⤷ Patrol Officer ⤷ Corporal ⤷ Sergeant ⤷ Lieutenant ⤷ Captain
Detective Division
⤷ Detective Constable ⤷ Detective Sergeant ⤷ Detective Inspector ⤷ Detective Chief Inspector ⤷ Detective Superintendent
Overall, the Faction has their main boss, the commissioner rank. Everyone will always start as the main division, but every so often the DSI will announce Detective slots, meaning you can go from a Main Division to Detective role. The Main and Detective Division are the same but different in their own ways, this can vary from their duties and responsibilities to their ranking and uniform.
───────────────────
Equipment
Within KPD, they have equipment to assist them with their day-to-day duties, some being extremely vital for them to complete the things they need to do. They also have different equipment that can be acquired per ranking, such as SGT+ get access to a Tranquilizer but below they do not. Sometimes there are other pieces of equipment that may be only used in a situation where everyone within KPD may be in danger. Of course, over the years the equipment has changed and developed into something better and more suitable for the officers or detectives of the department! Without the equipment that they have, they would be at a disadvantage against the Criminals on the streets, it keeps them safe and protects them from harm.
KPD Duties:
Each officer has duties within the KPD whether you are an Officer or Detective. Both roles do some of the same duties while they also have their separate duties, but in general, they work together to keep the city safe, ranging from watching CCTV, assisting with questions, arresting and just patrolling in general. Some of these points are below.
───────────────────
⤷ Arresting of Criminals (Misdenomor or Felony)
⤷ Taking reports; This could vary from small situations to in-depth situations where Detectives may need to take over.
⤷ Patrolling; Keeping the streets safe of any criminal organization or crimes taking place.
⤷ Interrogation; Detectives would interrogate individuals after an arrest to figure truth from lies in order to charge them.
⤷ Responding to Calls; Dealing with extreme calls involving weapons, hostage taking, kidnapping, Bear attacks, etc.
⤷ Providing Assistance; Giving people advice on parols, on calls or at the front desk from bailing to helping direct them.
⤷ Raiding Properties; Once a report and warrant has come in, raiding properties for any illegal weapons or dangerous individuals. Could be a hostage situation or simply someone storing dangerous weapons.
⤷ Court; Every so often, KPD will assist the government with court cases, that usually means transport of the inmate or being a witness on the stand. Sometimes even they are a part of the case because they are being sued by someone.
Criminal Charges
Along the side of KPD duties, during the arrest section, there are different types of arrest that can happen, along with fines and warnings too. There is a Misdemeanour conviction and then there is Felony convictions. The differences between the two are similar but vastly different. Each crime has a sub-category, Major, Government, Normal, etc. Though most of the crimes committed daily are usually in the Normal or Assault & Battery Category. There are a lot more sub-categories, but these are the ‘common’ ones.
───────────────────
⤷ Misdemeanours are usually ‘minor’ crimes, crimes that would be on your record, but not enough to warrant super concern, unless it was repetitive. Some of these crimes can be; Assault, Theft, Obstruction of Justice, Evasion, Trespassing, etc. Some of these crimes may not be considered as ‘criminal’ but still a record stain, not stopping you from getting employed or anything.
⤷ Felonies are often more advanced crimes, ones that will ruin someone's record for potential job hiring, or anything that would require a clean record. These charges are more common, but more exclusive to people who actively commit crimes on the day-to-day, willingly. Once you obtain that felony to your record, you are no longer allowed access to ballistic masks or Metal bats and equivalent. The charges you can obtain that will result in a felony charge are; Murder (Attempted or not), Animal Abuse, Evasion with a Vehicle, Possession of illegal weaponry, Kidnapping, Assault on a Government Official, Assault with deadly weapon, etc.
Why is Police important to SchoolRP?
KPD is a chain of importance to the SchoolRP community, both IC and OOC, not only does it give each faction that stability it needs to balance out the differences, it also gives people opportunities to have those different roleplay scenarios. The town is full of different sections; employed, unemployed, criminal or innocent. KPD is like the bridge between everything, balancing out things. KPD wipes the crime off the streets, but also helps assist people which doesn’t always have to be crime related, it could be directions, advice, etc. Another thing to note, without the police, crime would sweep the streets and civilians would start feeling unsafe and unable to voice their concerns, EMS would start being overwhelmed with the injuries from crime and the government may start to collapse. In Summery, KPD are needed to keep the streets clean of any criminal activity, keeping civilians clear of and safe from any danger or situations.
Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are needed to attend or you will be punished?
Yes, I completely acknowledge if training is held while I am online, I am required to attend. If I do not attend I risk punishment of being striked or removed from my position within the faction.

Equipment | Brief Description |
Radio | A communication device between KPD, EMS and Town. On top of this, Officers will use certain signals to communicate with others, to prevent using up time and getting to the situation faster! An example of one they would use is 10-20, this asks for their location. |
Body Camera | Used for evidence and keeping others safe as well as a way to locate an officer if they’ve been injured/kidnapped. |
Stun Blaster | A temporary stun method to ‘neutralise’ the threat so an officer can detain/arrest without harm. |
Baton | Used in situations where Stun Blaster cannot be used, such as Water, Transporting of Prisoner, Prison visits, etc. |
Riot Shield | Keeps the officer safe from any attacks in front and on the side during hostage/kidnapping situations or even crowd control. |
Crowbar | Assists the officers by opening doors/windows they cannot open with their bare hands, usually used in situations of a raid. |
Handcuffs | Used to help detain an individual before transporting to a cell. |
Tranqulizer | A longer-term neutralizer, used to neutralise more dangerous threats or animals. |
Pepper Spray | Used to keep the Officers safe if they need to escape a situation or as a warning to leave the area. |
Car Spikes | To stop illegal racing or evasion in a vehicle. |
Cruisers/Motorbikes | Used to drive to scenes, or transport. Cars/Bikes are important for movement. |
Riot Helmet/Gas Mask | Riot Helmets are used to conceal identity when in a riot situation or a property raid, Gas Masks do the same but are often used for situations that need a gas mask, for example; a fire has broken out. |

What's your character's full name?:
Alvira Waltz
How old is your character (if accepted)?:
They are currently 25 and will continue to be 25 upon acceptance!
What are your character's gender and pronouns?:
Alvira's gender is female and she follows her/her pronouns but also doesn’t mind them/them.
Please select your highest academic role at the time of writing this application:
(Grade-12/Bachelors/Masters/PhD):
Bachelor of Medicine
Bachelor in Law and Justice
Masters in Criminology
What languages does your character know besides Japanese?:
Alvira knows German and JSL. German being her native tongue and one she will often speak in.
Describe your character; how they look, what makes them unique?
Alvira is rather unique to look at in general, upon glancing at them, you’ll notice their hair first which is often described as Neapolitan ice-cream, why? Well, her hair is brown, blonde and pink which is often the three colours required to make that. Her hair is naturally brown and blonde, due to a condition affecting the pigmentation in her hair, she only added the pink dye to make it more fun in her eyes. As you approach closer, you’ll also notice her eyes are two different colours, heterochromia. One eye is blue and the other is green. This makes her face a unique sight to look at. Alvira has a slim build, she isn’t bulky or muscular, but she isn’t petite either, standing at the height of 5 '4 which is just below average height for her. Another thing that you’d notice when glancing at her, she was smothered in freckles, head to toe, she often would describe them as glitter that is forever there.
Her personality also sparks uniqueness as well, as the only child of her parents, she isn’t as energetic and outgoing as most, she's more closed off and preserved to herself, giving off that shy nature people may question.
How does your character act in a professional/casual situation?
⤷ In a profe
ssional situation, Alvira’s attitude is completely different to a casual situation. Almost like a personality switch, when she's actively working and on duty in any job setting, she is still preserved to herself but she will actively talk and communicate with everyone, she's responsive, communicative, and easy-going. She isn’t the type to cuss, which if a situation involves her cussing, that’s her at her limit which is near-impossible for such a bubbly personality. This often only applies on duty, on the rare occasion, off duty.
⤷ In a casual situation, it’s still pretty similar to a professional situation but you get less words out of her, she's more closed off and often speaking in her native tongue around herself or others. However, she would perk up if she heard someone else speaking German, bringing herself out of her shell a lot more. She will still be responsive, communicative and easy-going,but she also tends to be in her own little world sometimes if she's in a relaxed/casual environment. This can apply on and off duty.
What is their outlook on the idea of co-workers & teamwork?
Alvira loves her co-workers and teamwork, while she may not seem like the social type, she is rather bubbly once out of her shell, always talking and engaging in conversation. Co-workers become family to her, a team she can rely on when she's in danger or when she needs a piece of advice, even if it’s over something mild and small. She can trust that they’ll be there when she needs them, in her low moments and her proud moments. She’s also their cheerleader, she’ll always cheer them on from a distance or right in front of them, it’s a bond she enjoys. Teamwork is something else for her, it’s a way to know things will be done perfectly, no pressure would be put on just one person, everyone comes together and makes it possible for something to be done. If there's no teamwork, there's no protecting the city from crime.
What's your character's backstory?
★ This is a summary of the original backstory, the original one is more indepth ★
★629 words★
Alvira Waltz, the only child to her parents on the 30th March, 2000. The young child was born in the middle of Freiburg, a small town called Denzilngen, in a small cottage. The way she came into the world was calm and content, but the way she grew up the first few years of her life was pure chaos, unfortunately for her, the town wasn’t always so peaceful, a lot of things would happen and her parents would refuse to allow her out alone, she was watched 24/7 like she was a rare gem to them. Afterall, she was rare in some way, Alvira was born with an eye condition called Heterochromia, this didn’t affect her condition but it did affect how she was brought up. Her parents were protective since everyone wanted to look at her due to her unique eyes, something she grew up to hate, the idea of attention all over her became something she avoided, becoming her own person in her own world.
As time went on, Alvira started to notice how unsafe her town was, she wasn’t in the rich and pretty part of Denzlingen, her family got lucky with the cottage and they cherish that with everything, but the moment you step out and down the road, it was chaos and fire. Nothing was pretty, nothing was safe, even the police avoided the area because it was just unsafe for everyone around. As a result, her parents decided to homeschool her for the first few years of her school life, until she hit the age for college, that’s when she decided to fight for her education and convinced her parents to let her to go to a different area for college, they agreed under some conditions. Alvira used this time to process everything and work hard, though she did struggle a lot, she wasn’t the most intelligent person in her class; she struggled being away from her parents and the attention with no support. She eventually finished college, and moved on to bigger and better things.
As she reached 21, she decided to enroll into a paramedic course at University, which she wanted to do due to the fact she enjoyed helping and keeping people safe. However, a few weeks into the course, she dropped out. She was overwhelmed and felt as if she wasn’t doing enough. This is when she decided to take a few months break to relax and re-evaluate how she wanted to move forward; on top of returning back home and settling back in. By the time she was 22, her parents approached her with a potential opportunity for her, A university had opened applications for some degrees that could lead her both into medical or policing, Waltz decided to take this as a sign and went forward with it, moving out of her home once more and putting all her time and effort into the work. She did fall behind, she did struggle, and she wasn’t perfect, but at the end of the day, she did something she felt like she had a passion for, a connection. She cared about people, she cared about protecting them, assisting them and doing what she could to make them happy, even if it was outside of her comfort zone.
A few years did eventually pass on and she was 25, time flew by for her, but her parents? It felt like an eternity watching their child grow up into something they didn’t expect her to be, she graduated with bachelors and masters, taking her adventure elsewhere. In her eyes, failure happened a lot, but success helped her even more, leading her to being more confident in herself, but the hate for attention still remained. Her next adventure remained a mystery, but her current adventure remained as she focused on the person she has become, that shy, bubbly but loving personality, one that wanted to keep everyone safe and protected from things out of her control, that why she chose her degrees, that’s why she chose her career path.

Her next adventure remained a mystery, but her current adventure remained as she focused on the person she has become, that shy, bubbly but loving personality, one that wanted to keep everyone safe and protected from things out of her control, that why she chose her degrees, that’s why she chose her career path.
Can you legally own a pocket knife in Karakura?
“You cannot legally own a pocket knife in Karakura, there is no scenario that allows a civilian to carry one. If they are caught with a pocket knife, they will be arrested on the spot and charged with possession of illegal weaponry, even if they protest against it. It’s a felony charge.”
Name 5 medical items that do NOT require a prescription
“There are a few items that do not require a prescription, those items are; Wooden Cane, Eyepatch, Paracetamol, Aspirin, and Bandaids. There are a few more items but those are the first five that I thought of on the top of my head.”
If you see your co-workers physically abusing an inmate, what should you do?
“Our job is about protecting and keeping everyone in the city safe, it is our duty, something we swore in to do. If I saw my co-worker doing such an offense while being an officer, I’d ensure my body camera is switched on, even double checking for evidence purposes before quickly radioing for a higher-up. I would not fully interfere myself into the situation but would attempt to speak to my co-worker about stepping away from the inmate, keeping the environment as calm and steady as possible, one wrong move could result in further harm to the inmate or co-worker in question. Once the Higher-up has arrived and is dealing with my co-worker, I would then get an extra officer to assist me with the injured Inmate to the Medical ward, calling EMS to come and treat the Inmate.”
What should you do if you see your co-worker being assaulted?
“Officers safety always comes first, no matter the situation. If we are out-numbered, we cannot do anything. I would scan the area to make sure there isn’t any other potential threats before making a Radio call and Broadcast for backup, once backup has arrived, we would the interfere with the situation, making sure my co-worker has gotten away and treated as soon as possible and the perpetrator would be detained and arrested for the assault of an officer, a felony charge.”
What do you do if you find out that your co-worker is corrupt and is helping criminal organizations?
“My co-worker is corrupt and working for a criminal organization? Well that’s a situation I don’t want to be in, regardless, I would not involve myself at all. It could put not only my position at risk, but my safety too. If I have any evidence, the evidence would be taken to my higher-up, likely being the Captain or Commissioner to prevent too much word getting out about the situation. Even myself, I wouldn’t be telling anyone because it could potentially ruin any pending investigation going on that officer/detective at the time.”
How would you react to a criminal trying to bribe you?
“Well, a criminal trying to bribe me seems like a likely situation when their friend is potentially being arrested for a crime. I would give them a gentle reminder that bribery is against the law and will result in a fine. If they proceed to continue trying to bribe me, they would be fined or even detained for community service. The worst case scenario would result in an arrest, making their situation worse than it was at the start.”
