Describe your activity on the server:
Currently I spend my time equally between three of my accounts. My first account which I'm most known for is atkoi. On this account, I'd been in multiple sports teams and a captain for a few. I've had my fair share of roleplay experiences as many different characters. One big point towards my activity was during the time I was a server builder for SRP. I was on daily, always doing something and helping out where I could. As it is currently, I still keep that average time of activity per day, just spread throughout my other accounts. My alternative account, Hitokuijinshu, is on the high school football team. I keep up activity and partake in our teams practices, pranks, and hangouts for the sake of activity and roleplay experience. The other account, hauntedbats, is the one I applied to priest as. This account had also been in the hospital faction prior and my activity alongside my participation in what I was tasked with had helped me work my way up to head surgeon before I ultimately left. As much as I love EMS and plan on returning one day, I think KPD is a new faction I'd like to participate in for experience and character development.
If accepted, I'd be able to be on much later than what I typically see KPD staying on for.

What is your motivation for applying?:
I have applied two separate times in the past. The first time I'd been denied due to Ryan not quite knowing who I was at the time (or so I was told), and the second time I'd been denied due to the faction needing players from other timezones for a more evenly-distributed set of online officers for all hours.
My motivation for applying has stayed true since the last time I applied, focusing on wanting the full experience on the server with different factions and what makes them tick. Plenty of my friends have been in the faction and with the lore I've created for many of my characters, I've chosen one who I feel would fit perfectly as an officer if I'm given the opportunity.

What knowledge do you have of Police Work?
Generally speaking, officers are employed to serve and care for the community. Starting off as cadets and working their way up the ranks, officers are given different tasks and opportunities with each promotion. Being active is a priority for this faction because 110 is always being dialed for assistance in emergencies and non-emergency related incidents. On the server, from what I've experienced on the outside when interacting with officers in EMS, there is a lot expected of them. KPD can patrol the streets and stop in at different locations to make sure nothing's going on (i.e. the hospital, forest, plaza) and they're able to arrest, detain, question, imprison inmates, and accept bail. There's always something going on and plenty to take care of. Depending on your rank in the faction, you're given a police car or bike, a glock (If you're higher up) and a different uniforms to wear. If you are a detective, you have a bit more freedom with what you do, to my understanding. The KPD has several different types of equipment meant for different ranks as previously mentioned.

When you're first accepted into the faction, you're a cadet in the Main Division. As a cadet, you're unable to go on patrols on your own without a trained officer. Once you've passed your training and exams, you move up to being a patrol officer. Here, you can go on patrols with another officer (Unless the KPD is at an emergency level where you're prohibited from leaving OR going out alone/ in small groups). A step above that is a corporal, then you continue to sergeant and lieutenant. I believe lieutenant followed by captain are two of the HU roles beneath the Commissioner. The Detective division starts off with the detective inspector, then leads into the Detective Chief Inspector, and Superintendent who are all higher-ups beneath the Commissioner.

With each rank, of course, comes equipment. Starting off, every cadet is given a few things.
Pepper spray, which EMS also use in order to blind disorderly individuals. If the individual is wearing a gas mask, the pepper spray does not effect them.
Baton, which is a newer item that has been added (I believe). Acting as a normal baton, this melee weapon is useful for hitting someone without the use of lethal force. It has the same stats as a metal bat.
Radio, which is also owned by EMS although the model is different. The radio is useful for communicating on two different channels. You have your factions channel, or you can use the global channel to radio others outside of your faction if you need information or assistance.
Breathalyzer, which EMS also happen to have. The breathalyzer is useful for figuring out the drunk percentage of an individual who appears to be under the influence.
Handcuffs, which are fairly self explanatory. You can clasp these around someone's wrist to detain them.
Gas mask, which EMS happens to also use. This is good for concealing your identity if the situation calls for it and you aren't in riot gear. It's also useful when going into a situation where biohazards may be present.
Luminol spray, which is used on weapons and masks to see if any blood may be present (even if it was cleaned, it will leave residue unless properly removed with hydrogen peroxide)
First-Aid kit, something EMS also carry. This item is useful for on the go medical care if you arrive on scene and a victim is in need of it. It contains the basic care items including gauze to staunch bleeding, adding +5 minutes to any bleed-out timer.
Taser, which is a ranged weapon used to incapacitate individuals from a distance. You do have to manually aim in order to set it off, and if a hit is successful then the target is stunned.
Riot shield, a useful item in the event of an emergency. I haven't seen these used much, although to my understanding they are used mostly in defense situations, blocking from the front and sides to ensure the officer is safe.
Body camera, the body camera is good for grabbing evidence automatically. It's capable of being broken.

Other items specific to different ranks include,
Police car/police bike to get around, they have their own sirens which can be toggled.
Crowbar, which is good for opening doors and containers as needed
Tranquilizer, useful for knocking a target unconscious (Including bears..)

Why is Police important to SchoolRP?
Due to the influx of gangs and criminals, there's a rise in perms being given out and acted on. KPD can investigate a scene, confront a suspect OR victim, and decide where to go from there. You're able to care for the community and protect them to the best of your abilities, taking down violent criminals and putting a stop (to an extent) to gangs running amuck in Karakura. They go hand-in-hand with EMS and their duties. Where EMS tend to focus on caring for the aftermath, KPD focus on putting a stop to the situation while it's in motion.

Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are needed to attend or you will be punished?
I acknowledge and understand that I am required to attend training while it's held if I'm online.

What languages does your character know besides Japanese?:
JSL, Swedish and Jin

Describe your character; how they look, what makes them unique?
1696028761915.pngRoland is a Swedish individual standing at an even 5'10. He has long dark brown hair with some gray strands, usually pulled back in a ponytail. From years of working in the police department back in Sweden, he appears to be older than what he really is. Crows feet wrinkle the corners of his eyes, his cheeks seemingly a little gaunt. He has 'salt and pepper' stubble along his jaw. There's a single scar that is barely visible across the left side of his neck, just over his carotid artery.

How does your character act in a professional/casual situation?
Due to his past experiences, he's fairly strict in both a professional and casual setting. He isn't one who likes to mess around, preferring to watch others idly on the side and get extra work done if given the opportunity. He dislikes butting into conversations or partaking in them unless it's absolutely necessary, and strays away from any gossip he hears in the workplace. He's the perfect candidate for someone to talk to about their problems without worrying about him telling anyone else simply because he will tune them out.

What is their outlook on the idea of co-workers & teamwork?
He's completely fine with teamwork as long as that is all it is. Disliking getting close to others emotionally, Roland is an individual who focuses on the task at hand and will reprimand others if they get off track. If he's needed and available, he'll be happy to step in, although if a coworker were to, say, ask him out to an event for a drink or a dance, he would decline. Co-workers are exactly that in his eyes. A worker you cooperate with to get something done, a peer who you work with to obtain the same goal.

What's your character's backstory?
Roland was born in a small town in Sweden. Having moved between cities throughout his childhood, he never felt a sense of belonging anywhere and eventually grew to enjoy the solitude that surrounded him in each new home. His mother was missing from the picture from a young age, his father the only parent who'd stuck around and cared for him. Throughout his adolescent years and up into college he'd made few friends and focused majorly on getting into the local police department. He had no special goals other than taking care of what needed to be done. His father had helped to push him in the direction, promising him he'd have a comfortable life if he made it onto the force. Studying and eventually being accepted, Roland worked hard throughout the years. He'd solved countless cases, arrested hundreds and even managed to unravel a cold case and once more bring it to light, figuring out what happened.
His seemingly cold and distant behavior tends to melt bit by bit with those who he grows closer with, and sometime in his early 30's he'd become close with one of the other officers who'd been assigned as his partner for a case. Together, they'd worked on collecting evidence and looking into dead-ends when they weren't patrolling. This was the first official friend he'd made, and the last one he lost. It was early in the fall, September, when he'd been tasked with investigating a house. The house in question belonged to the other officer he'd befriended, the dispatcher explaining there were 'suspicious noises' that had been reported coming from inside. Arriving on scene it seemed calm up until he'd stepped inside with the other officers who were also dispatched to the location.
Inside were signs of a struggle leading down to the basement where he'd found the, unfortunately passed, body of the one friend he'd opened up to.
Now, he has picked up a new lead that has brought him to Karakura, Japan. He believes the killer(s) residing here, and he plans on combating the crime rates in the city while keeping a lookout for the person he suspects. The case of his friend had gone cold with no direct leads to the person responsible up until fairly recently.

General knowledge

Can you legally own a pocket knife in Karakura?
No, it isn't legal to own a pocket knife in Karakura.

Name 5 medical items that do NOT require a prescription
Melatonin, band-aids, eye patches, Multivitamins, and paracetamol.

If you see your co-workers physically abusing an inmate, what should you do?
Intervene immediately both verbally and physically, separating the two. Roland would immediately report it to a higher-up, providing verbal information as well as CCTV and body cam footage. If either of them are in need of medical assistance, he would radio EMS and ask for assistance, explaining the situation. Once the two are separated, he'd ensure the officer is sent into a different room to cool off and wait. If he's unable to separate them right away, he will radio for backup.

What should you do if you see your co-worker being assaulted?
Utilizing the necessary tools in the situation, pepper spray or a taser will be most effective at stopping the assault unless it has escalated to the use of deadly force with the assaulter using a weapon. Incapacitating the assaulter is the first step, so if a verbal warning isn't enough to stop it, then pepper spray or the taser will be a good next step. The use of lethal force is unnecessary unless the assaulter is using a lethal weapon. If there is time prior to engaging, radioing for backup would also be useful.

What do you do if you find out that your co-worker is corrupt and is helping criminal organizations?
Gathering evidence is the first step to starting a solid case. Once you have enough evidence to support it, bringing it up to a higher-up is the next step. If a higher-up is corrupted, or if a majority of them are working together in this scenario, then gathering as many who aren't part of the organization is going to be the next best bet, coming together and bringing up the evidence to the deputy mayor and mayor.

How would you react to a criminal trying to bribe you?
Roland would decline, reminding them bribery is an offense and he has no interest in accepting anything in exchange for whatever it is they may be bribing for.

DENIED
After having carefully reviewed your applications, the higher-up team
has decided to unfortunately deny your application to join our faction.

We appreciate your efforts and your motivation to join our faction, but
we have made this decision based on the following reason(s)

COMPETENCE
-
Due to the vast amount of applicants that try their best to get into the
faction, we sometimes have to deny good applicants because there are
others that have been deemed as better choices, whether it's due to
server reputation or due to the detail that was put to their application.

REPUTATION
- A decisive factor that influences our decision is server reputation. We tend
to pick players who have been in the server for a while, and that have a
relatively clean history. We suggest applying for other factions / community
teams to improve how other players see you and boost your chances at
becoming part of our faction!

ADDITIONAL NOTES
If you need further assistance, you can privately message
me (@Yonio) or any other available Admin+ via Discord
so that we can solve any other inquiries you may have
