╰┈➤ Describe your activity on the server:
What is my activity on the server, and what do I participate in? Well, I am very active as it is, though a decrease in activity can be seen frequently as I have started a new job while juggling school. I try my best to get on every week at least three times if I can, and spend around five or more hours playing
As for what I generally do on SchoolRP, I am a teacher and a basketball player as of current. Meaning I have a lot of roleplay opportunities, enhancing the way I can type and showing me words that I never knew existed, I try my best to move forward and include people who don’t seem to be roleplaying, as I am looking for every single roleplay opportunity I can get.
How I got into detailRP; how that itself has changed my activity. It encouraged me to roleplay more and seek more resemblance in ScholRP. When I was a doctor back in 2019 - 2020, I enjoyed the factor of detail roleplaying ever since. I have always tried my hardest to sit and find something to do, a normal non-stop detail RP can take around three hours, to even four, depending on what is occurring.
Below I will place a format of my schedule; please take into consideration that this schedule revolves around my work schedule and school schedule.

╰┈➤ What position are you applying for (Maiden or Priest)?
Preferably, a priest, as in the past, I was a shrine maiden in the 2018 era, and I wish to experience a new role within the monastery faction. But if the priest slots are full, I do not mind becoming a shrine maiden, whatever!
╰┈➤ What is your motivation for applying?
What is my current motivation for applying to a shrine? Well, in 2018, I was a shrine maiden as I previously stated beforehand. I deeply enjoyed the faction despite the huge decrease in people going to the shrine. I left SRP for a year before coming back to it. Soon, I developed a desire to rejoin the shrine, but the idea is I needed to get more experience since I had been gone for so long.
I became a professor a few times, then slowly became a part of KPD. After a while, I left and became a teacher, soon possessing that role and the role of being a Basketball player. I had tried to apply to the shrine by the end of 2024, but due to some unforeseen circumstances, I could not be a part of the shrine.
My main motivation for putting this application in though is become I really do miss the context of learning shintoism and enjoy the small roleplays I did get as a shrine maiden, with that I also have some friends that are currently in shrine, and not only did that motivate me once again to write another application but made me feel the need to join my friends in the learning process!
THe finally part of my motivation is that this is a time where I can not only play out my character how I wish (I really wanna put him in a shrine because he fits so well!) and be able to speak and let people get to know this character, I get to make new friends along the way. Start new and be happy with the roleplay opportunities that are presented to me.
This is my motivation for applying to Monastery Shrine.
╰┈➤ What do you currently know about Shintoism? Are you willing to learn more about it?
Firstly, what I would like to state is that I would not mind learning more about Shintoism if I haven’t been able to cover everything with my own knowledge.
From what I know about Shintoism, is that their reality is more based around nature; they have a god named Kami, one who presents nature. The main idea is to have peace and harmony upon the shrine, and anything that is polluted must be cleansed through rituals. Shintoism doesn’t really believe in good or evil as they try to balance harmony between humans and the Kami.
Among the Monastery Shrine, we have Torii Gates, which are the entrances of the shrine to mark where sacred and profane places end and meet. The first entrance of the shrine has a wash station, where you are to take a ladle and wash your hands, then you are supposed to clean your mouth as well, to show purity and to cleanse the human body.
You can offer the Kami anything at the altar found in front of the main building. An offering should consist of something you find value in or are drawn to. Other than that, you should bow, ring the bell, and pray.
Other than that, this is what I know about Shintoism. I do wanna learn more about it as I can feel a passion occurring!

╰┈➤ Backstory
Nishimura Nguyen was born 1988, May 7th in Vietnam.
Nishimura's childhood was mostly a blur; he took on discipline and became the perfect son for his family. Once he hit high school, he got more interesting starting back though, his family had a traditional idea that men should either be a lawyer, doctor, or something in the high working force. Nguyen, one who does not want to make his father or mother upset, followed these rules. He followed them along in shrines when he was young, experiencing the idea of shrine work. They wanted him to be away
from the shrine when he was older, finding it a non-ideal job.Moving towards college, Nguyen sought to get his medical degree, something he could do to make his family proud of him. He didn't struggle much in school; he was very smart. But when it hit the senior year, he met this girl, she was lovely and one he wanted to keep forever. Some can say she got in the way, others can say she helped him, but they started to date. Her name was Anh, she was a flawless young lady, she was equally smart but also a partier, this didn't affect Nishimura, though, sticking with his studies but also balancing the time he spent with his new lover, he was struggling with two jobs at this moment.
Moving towards college, he focused mostly on his schoolwork. Near the end of it, though, he got his medical degree around the age of 24, but surprisingly enough. Nishimura and Ahn had a child, his first child. He was very unsure how to feel upon this, he was worried the child would get in the way, and having one at such a young age was bothersome already, he groaned and complained almost daily... and soon enough, they had another child.. and one more.. at the age of 26, Anh ended up leaving Nishimura, no trace of where she went, he was left with three kids. This broke him in a sense of despair, finding a new job he worked hard to provide for his children, soon valuing them with his heart..
Once the children reached the age of seventeen to eighteen, Nishimura soon fell into a study of Shintoism; he was planning on taking his children to Karakura, a new start. a new life is what he needed.. Deciding so, he moved there with his children, spending the school time. He studied Shintoism as much as he could. Nishimura soon started to attend the shrine more often, finding it rather calming.
This is when Nishimura found his Zen, he felt calm.. relaxed, and more so in a peaceful environment of safety.. With that, he talked with a few of the shrine maidens, finding their jobs rather interesting, he pushed a hand out to a lip. asking if they were hiring, one of them handed him an application, he took it and returned to him, filling it out. He did not want to let his children know what he was doing, but he filled it out and then returned it. Now he waits. But he returns to the shrine almost every day now to experience the Zen and social likeness he loved.

CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE / SITUATIONS

────୨ৎ────────୨ৎ────────୨ৎ────────୨ৎ────────୨ৎ────────୨ৎ──────
╰┈➤How does your character act around shrine grounds? How do they interact with guests and other staff?
Nishimura is a very reserved but presentable guy; he can be seen walking around the shrine, tending to his duties such as cleaning up , or keeping the shrine in an orderly manner. He takes underlying pride in making sure the environment is suitable for not only the guest, but for the Kami, this means tending to the weeds, tending to cleaning up the sidewalks that people walk on, anything that looks out of the ordinary for him.
When interacting with guests, they can be seen walking into the shrine, he stops what he is doing depending if he is with a current guest or not, and will always greet them with a soft bow.
[ACTION ONE: Greeting GUEST]
/me walked towards the guest, before dipping into a 90-degree bow, slowly humming as he did so. "Evening dears, welcome to the shrine, if you have any questions or need anything of the sort, let me know, as I will be here to assist. Returning to his normal stature, he smiled. He will stay if they have a request or a question. Or he will return to his normal duties by cleaning or helping other guests that are in need.
He will also offer if the guest wants tea at all, allowing them to know their choice and so they know for any time during their visit he will make tea!
Tending to other staff, he shows utmost respect despite their role in the shrine, he is a known peace maker within his family and also outside the family, he can be seen assisting anyone who needs help and will be understanding to those who need it.
╰┈➤ You see a guest jumping around on the building's roof and generally disrespecting the shrine grounds. How would your character handle it?
Slowly walking around the shrine, his kimono fell with each step tracing his movements slowly. He looked up, eyes shifting a bit, seeing a guest jumping around on the roof, he stepped forward, his right hand went up to his mouth, before speaking out loud "Excuse me dear, can you please get down?" He looked at them, not with a negative look but one with care, he wants people to trust him, not to be scared. Seemingly the guest does not get down and or continues with their persistent movements, he shifted a bit, seemingly to sigh, he spoke a tad louder, not wanting to yell, but spoke loud enough for them to hear him. He spoke again "Please get down from the roof!' &r Eyes shifted a bit, he moved his hand down from his mouth, looking at the guest, to say if they were continuing or not he would soon get them out and kick them out of the shrine, he gave them enough warnings but they were disrespecting property at that point.
Oddly enough if the guest didn't leave or refused to listen to any further directions, Nishimura will result in the matter of KPD, not wishing to, but finding the intent of the shrine being his home more important than someone who is being disrespectful towards it.
╰┈➤ Why does your character want to become a shrine maiden/priest? What do they wish to achieve?
Upon recently moving to Karakura to be with his family, he has taken a huge liking towards Shintoism, and slowly he did begin to meet people in shrines. He found it rather interesting, studying more on Shinotism as much as he reasonably could, he found it rather ideal that he wanted to become a priest, despite the fact that he does have a medical degree, his own parents were apart of shrines when he was little, making him go with them simply to just watch or help clean every so often.
Nishimura honestly wishes to achieve many things when becoming a priest, he wants to achieve peacefulness in the world by providing that, and on top of that he wants to inform those about something they can follow, also known as Shintoism... His long time achievements are to find friends, to Kami's work. and enjoy the rest of his life assisting and following alongside his co-workers and the Kami.
╰┈➤ What are the core values of your character?
Nishimura has a bunch of core values, his first one consists of family, he takes this core value because his family is the only ones he has, he would be considered 'nothing' without them in his eyes, he values them more than life. Second core value is Kindness, Nishimura is known as a peacemaker like stated previously, meaning none the less he values those being kind to others and not causing trouble for anyone. Lastly is faith, or honesty. He finds this important but not that important as he can understand the concept of those who need to lie, though he holds his family to a standard of one hundred percent honesty even if they want to lie, he always figures it out!
